Previous reports on the effects of probiotics on farmed fish have focused more on dietary supplementation, and this study evaluated the effects of Pseudomonas stutzeri F2 supplementation in rearing water on juvenile spotted seabass (Lateolabrax maculatus). With the increasing use of animal and plant proteins, pollution due to nitrogen sources is attracting increasing attention. In particular, the amount of nitrogen-containing sewage discharged into the environment has increased significantly, causing eutrophication of water bodies and environmental degradation of water quality. Traditionally, nitrifying bacteria perform ammonia nitrification under aerobic conditions, while denitrifying bacteria perform nitrate/nitrite denitrification under anaerobic conditions. However, heterotrophic nitrifying and aerobic denitrifying microorganisms (HNADs) perform ammonia nitrification and nitrate/nitrite denitrification under the same aerobic conditions using an organic carbon source, which is a much simpler and more efficient process. In this review, the distribution and evolutionary relationships of novel HNADs strains are presented, and the influencing factors, metabolic pathways, key enzymes, and practical applications of HNADs are reviewed.

In order to improve the performance of a micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) accelerometer, three algorithms for compensating its temperature drift are proposed in this paper, including deep long short-term memory recurrent neural network (DLSTM-RNN, short DLSTM), DLSTM based on sparrow search algorithm (SSA), and DLSTM based on improved SSA (ISSA). Moreover, the piecewise linear approximation (PLA) method is employed in this paper as a comparison to evaluate the impact of the proposed algorithm. First, a temperature experiment is performed to obtain the MEMS accelerometer’s temperature drift output (TDO). Then, we propose a real-time compensation model and a linear approximation model for neural network methods compensation and PLA method compensation, respectively. The real-time compensation model is a recursive method based on the TDO at the last moment. The linear approximation model considers the MEMS accelerometer’s temperature and TDO as input and output, respectively. Next, the TDO is analyzed and optimized by the real-time compensation model and the three algorithms mentioned before. Moreover, the TDO is also compensated by the linear approximation model and PLA method as a comparison. The compensation results show that the three neural network methods and the PLA method effectively compensate for the temperature drift of the MEMS accelerometer, and the DLSTM + ISSA method achieves the best compensation effect. After compensation by DLSTM + ISSA, the three Allen variance coefficients of the MEMS accelerometer that bias instability, rate random walk, and rate ramp are improved from 5.43×10−4mg, 4.33×10−5mg/s12, 1.18×10−6mg/s to 2.77×10−5mg, 1.14×10−6mg/s12, 2.63×10−8mg/s, respectively, with an increase of 96.68% on average.

Nitrogen pollution in water bodies is becoming increasingly serious, and how to remove nitrogen from water bodies economically and effectively has become a research hotspot. Especially in recent years, with the gradual expansion of aquaculture in China, the content of nitrite and other nitrogen-containing substances in water bodies has been increasing, which inhibits the growth of farm animals and is one of the causes of eutrophication in water bodies. In this study, a strain of bacteria was isolated from the sludge of an aquaculture fishpond and identified as Pseudomonas stutzeri, which can efficiently degrade nitrite. After continuous domestication in nitrite mixed solution, the nitrite nitrogen reduction capacity of P. stutzeri was significantly improved. Univariate experiments aiming to optimize the degradation conditions indicate that the optimal culture conditions for strain F2 are: medium with a carbon source of sodium succinate; C/N of 18; pH of 8; culture temperature of 28 °C; and shaking speed of 210 rpm in the shaker. Under the optimal culture conditions, the NO2−-N concentration of the culture solution was 300 mg/L, and the nitrite removal rate reached 98.67%. Meanwhile, the results of the nitrogen balance test showed that the strain converted 6.1% of the initial nitrogen into cellular organic nitrogen and 62.3% into gaseous nitrogen.

Objective: To investigate the value of the combined test of seven blood coagulation indexes, lipids and platelet agglutination on the evaluation of the hypercoagulable state of blood in parturient women. Methods: This is a retrospective study. Total 50 high risk parturient women who underwent an antenatal examination in Baoding Maternal and Child Health Hospital from June 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the observation group, while 50 normal parturient women who underwent antenatal examination without comorbidities and complications were randomly collected in a ratio of 1:1 as the control group. All subjects had venous blood drawn for testing of seven blood coagulation indexes, lipids and platelet agglutination before delivery, and their general data were recorded. Results: The activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT) in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, while thrombin time(TT) and D-dimer(DD) were both higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(p<0.05); total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG) in the observation group were both higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (p<0.05); adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and arachidonic acid (AA) in the observation group were both higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (p<0.05). Moreover, the overall incidence of adverse pregnancy was higher in the observation group than in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). Conclusions: The combined test of seven blood coagulation indexes, lipids and platelet agglutination results in excellent performance in predicting and judging the presence or absence of the hypercoagulable state of blood in parturient women, with the combination of APTT+TT+DD+TG+ADP+AA being the preferred test. Fermentation is considered a promising method to improve the limited utilization of plant protein sources. In the present study, Shewanella sp. MR-7, isolated from the intestine of juvenile turbot, was used to ferment selected plant sources. We investigated the apparent digestibility coefficients (ADCs) of three plant sources fermented and not fermented by Shewanella sp. MR-7 in diets of juvenile turbot: soybean meal (SBM), fermented soybean meal (FSBM), peanut meal (PM), fermented peanut meal (FPM), corn gluten meal (CGM) and fermented corn gluten meal (FCGM). The ADCs of dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), gross energy (GE), and amino acids(AA)were analyzed. Our results showed that the ADC of the plant protein sources improved significantly with fermentation. Moreover, the FSBM showed the highest improvement for apparent amino acid digestibility while FPM showed the lowest compared with the unfermented plant protein source. In conclusion, our results indicated that Shewanella sp. MR-7 fermentation can greatly improve the ADCs of SBM, PM, and CGM in diets of turbot.
