Background: The co-occurrence of depression and anxiety in adolescents is common and associated with suicide ideation. This study aimed to investigate the symptom-level relationship between suicide ideation and comorbidity of depression and anxiety. Methods: R was used for network analysis of depressive and anxiety symptoms from 716 adolescents (PHQ-9 ≥ 5 and GAD-7 ≥ 5). Participants were grouped into the suicide ideation group and the non-suicide ideation group. Network differences were compared between these two groups. Results: “Restlessness”, “Sad mood”, and “Trouble relaxing” were the most prominent central symptoms in this depressive-anxiety symptom network. “Restlessness”, “Nervousness”, and “Motor” were the bridge symptoms in this network. “Sad Mood” directly related to “Suicide Ideation” and explained the highest variance. The network structure was significantly different in network properties between adolescents who had suicide ideation and those who did not. “Restlessness” was the most central symptom in adolescents with suicide ideation. “Sad Mood” was the central and bridge symptom in adolescents with suicide ideation. Conclusion: “Restlessness” and “Sad Mood” might be interesting avenues for reducing depression and anxiety symptoms in adolescents with suicide ideation. Trial registration: The study received ethical approval from the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University on March 31, 2022.The number of Institutional Review Boards approval was 004.

Existing studies of the incorporation of climate mitigation into urban governance are concerned overwhelmingly with the material aspects of low-carbon urbanism. Emphasis is placed upon the measurable, quantifiable, and technical characteristics of carbon, whereas the (uneven) leverage of its rhetoric value across different state spaces/scales is largely overlooked. This paper engages with ongoing theoretical enquiries through a study that applies a discursive-analytical perspective to examining the rise of low-carbon cities (LCCs) and the actual practicing of rhetorical decarbonization strategies in Shenzhen, China. The making of the LCC is found to be incentivized by the perceived symbolic value and enabling power of the climate agenda in attracting higher-level government supports, maintaining local collations, and enticing international attention and investment. This enabling power depends on the interpretive flexibility within decarbonization discourse and the manipulation of the discourse to justify involuntary socio-economic changes. Findings of this research call for greater attention paid to the overlooked discursive dimensions of low-carbon urbanism as the constitutive elements of ongoing global urban transformation processes.

Background Parenting styles and the associated proximal psychological factors are suggested to increase suicidal risks in adolescents. However, how the two risky factors interact and confer risks on adolescent suicide remains unclear. Herein, we used a network approach to investigate their interrelationship and explore whether the network properties predict adolescent suicide. Methods Self-report questionnaires were completed by 1,171 students aged 12–16. Network analyses were performed by Gaussian graphical models estimating the adolescent psychosocial network structure of parenting styles and psychological variables including depression, anxiety, affective lability, rumination, and resilience. Furthermore, we re-examined the network by adding a variable of active suicidal thoughts. Moreover, we conducted linear regressions to examine the predictive utility of bridge symptoms for adolescent suicide. Results Resilience, Afraid, Rumination, Concentration, and affective lability (Anger) had the highest bridge strengths in the adolescent psychosocial network. Among the identified bridge symptoms, Resilience was negatively correlated with active suicidal thoughts (regularized edge weights = -0.181, bootstrapped 95% CIs: [-0.043, -0.155]), whereas affective lability (from Anxiety to Depression, Anger), Rumination, and Afraid were positively correlated with active suicidal thoughts, with edge weights (bootstrapped 95% CIs) ranging from 0.057 (0.001, 0.112) to 0.081(0.026, 0.136). Regression analysis showed that bridge strength was significantly correlated with active suicidal thoughts (R2 = 0.432, P = 0.001). Conclusion Negative parenting styles may drive and maintain active suicidal thoughts by modifying the key proximal psychological variables. Our findings highlight the important role of bridge symptoms, which may serve as potential prevention and intervention targets for adolescent suicide.

The implementation of genetically modified organism (GMO) labeling policies requires accurate quantitative methods to measure the GMO content in test samples. A Kemingdao/phospholipase D (KMD/PLD) duplex ddPCR method was established with rice genomic DNA (gDNA) of homozygous KMD as template by optimizing the annealing temperature and cycle number. Duplex ddPCR showed a linear response over the dynamic range from 68 to 175,000 copies, covering four orders of magnitude. The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) for duplex ddPCR were determined to be 9 copies and 34 copies of the rice haploid genome, respectively. A very high dilution factor would result in unacceptable bias and coefficients of variation for determining copy number of the gDNA solution, and more than 1000 copies of the DNA template in one reaction is preferred to obtain accurate quantitative results by duplex PCR. Five blinded DNA samples with copy number ratio of 10%, 5%, 1%, 0.1%, and 0.05%, and three blinded real-life matrix samples with mass fraction of 5%, 1%, and 0.5% were quantified by duplex ddPCR, simplex ddPCR, and qPCR. These three methods all gave comparable GMO content and copy numbers within the required precision, but the duplex ddPCR showed the narrowest uncertainty interval and provided the highest precision in comparison to simplex ddPCR and qPCR. The ddPCR is a more appealing and reliable technology for the accurate quantification of GMO content than simplex ddPCR and qPCR considering the uncertainty and precision of quantitative results, the time consumption of generating droplets, and the cost of ddPCR reagents.

Five Pd(II)/polyoxometalate catalysts with a unique atomic arrangement and high Pd loading were synthesized under solvothermal conditions, and their structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The synergistic effect of polyoxometalate anions and Pd allows the Suzuki–Miyaura reactions to proceed under mild conditions. The structure of one of the five compounds can still be maintained without a significant yield decrease after four continuous reaction cycles. In order to further explore the versatility of this catalyst, 5-bromofuran-2-carbaldehyde, a furfural derivative, 3-bromo-7-(diethylamino)-2H-chromium-2-ketone, a fluorescent probe intermediate, and methyl(E)-3-(1-benzyl-6-bromo-1H–1H-indol-3-yl) acrylate, an indole anti-cancer drug intermediate, were synthesized.

Objective. The aim of this study is to examine the impacts of general practice model (GP) on prognosis and recurrence of stroke patients with diabetes. Methods. Ninety patients with stroke combined with diabetes mellitus admitted to our hospital from June 2019 to June 2020 were selected for the study and were randomly and equally divided into 45 cases each in the control and experimental groups for the prospective trial. The patients in the control group received routine treatment while those in the experimental group were treated with GP model. Comparison in treatment effects, patients satisfaction, psychological status, quality of life, glycosylated hemoglobin level, and stroke recurrence was carried out between the two groups. Results. The experimental group showed markedly better treatment effects ( P < 0.05 ), higher satisfaction degree ( P < 0.05 ), higher HAD ( P < 0.05 ), GQOLI-74 score ( P < 0.05 ), and BI index ( P < 0.05 ), lower level of glycosylated hemoglobin ( P < 0.05 ), and much lower recurrence rate ( P < 0.05 ), as compared to the control group. Conclusion. The application of the GP model to manage controllable risk factors in stroke patients with diabetes can effectively improve the prognosis and reduce the recurrence rate, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.

The application of certified reference materials (CRMs) to genetically modified organism (GMO) detection is essential for guaranteeing the accuracy, comparability, and traceability of quantitative results over time and among laboratories. Clean leaves from GM rice Kefeng 6 were used as raw materials to develop a batch of genomic DNA (gDNA) CRMs. The optimized KF6/PLD duplex digital PCR was used for collaborative characterization of Kefeng 6 gDNA CRMs by eight qualified laboratories; this batch of gDNA CRMs was certified for two property values, namely, copy number ratio and copy number concentration, which were 1.03 ± 0.04 and (1.60 ± 0.11) × 105 copies/μL, respectively. The gDNA CRMs displayed good between-vial homogeneity when the minimum sample intake of 2 μL was taken into account. Stability studies indicated that the gDNA CRMs should be transported below 25 °C, and cold chain transport was recommended. Shelf life was assessed to be at least 12 months, and when using gDNA CRMs, freeze–thaw should not exceed 10 cycles. Compared to the available gDNA CRMs in the market, this batch of gDNA CRMs has accurate property values with combined uncertainties, providing user-friendly calibrators for GM rice Kefeng 6 inspection and monitoring. The development and characterization of Kefeng 6 gDNA CRMs contribute to the establishment of a copy number-based reference system for GMO detection.

Qualitative and quantitative detection of genetically modified products is inseparable from the application of reference materials (RMs). In this study, a batch of genomic DNA (gDNA) certified reference materials (CRMs) was developed using genetically modified rice Kemingdao (KMD) homozygotes as the raw material. The gDNA CRMs in this batch showed good homogeneity; the minimum sample intake was determined to be 2 μL. The stability study showed that transportation by cold chain is preferable, no significant degradation trend was observed during a 12-month period when storing the gDNA CRMs at 4 °C and − 20 °C, and the number of freeze-thaw cycles cannot exceed 10. The property values of the copy number ratio of transgene and endogenous gene and the copy number concentration for gDNA CRMs were determined by a collaborative characterization of eight laboratories using the duplex KMD/PLD droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) assays. The uncertainty components of characterization, potential between-unit heterogeneity, and potential degradation during long-term storage were combined to estimate the expanded uncertainty of the certified value with a coverage factor k of 2.0. The certified value of copy number ratio for KMD gDNA CRM is 0.99 ± 0.05, and that of copy number concentration is (1.76 ± 0.10) × 105 copies/μL. Compared to the gDNA CRMs in availability, this batch of KMD gDNA CRMs is assigned accurate property values and can be directly used for qualitative and quantitative detection of GMOs as well as evaluation of the parameters of analytical methods with no need of further DNA concentration measurement.

Previous studies have shown that the occurrence of atherosclerosis is closely related to changes of α2, 6-sialic acid transferase I (ST6Gal-I). Bace1 has been identified as a protease responsible for the cleavage and secretion of Golgi-resident ST6Gal-I. There have been only a few attempts to clarify the direct connection between Bace1 and atherosclerosis. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Bace1 gene and atherosclerosis. Expressions of Bace1 protein and mRNA in ApoE−/− mice fed on high-fat diet were evaluated and the development of atherosclerosis was assessed in Bace1−/− mice fed on high-fat diet. In vitro, the expression of Bace1 gene was detected in foam cell model and the formation of foam cells was examined after knocking down Bace1 by siRNA. We observed a significant increase in Bace1 expression in the aortic root in the model of atherosclerosis in ApoE−/−mice. The expression of Bace1 protein and mRNA levels had a remarkable increase in high-fat group. After knocking out the Bace1 gene, serum lipid levels were significantly lower and intimal thickness was obvious thinner than those in wild-type mice with high-fat diet. Expression of Bace1 protein and mRNA levels were significantly elevated in foam cell. The formation of foam cells was blocked when Bace1 was knocked down by siRNA interferes. Our results suggested that elevated Bace1 gene had a positive role in the progression of atherosclerosis. Affecting the glycosyltransferase may be one of its mechanisms.

To develop anti-tumor agents for lung cancer, we aim to characterize a herbal compound, daidzein-rich isoflavones aglycone (DRIA), in inhibiting the proliferation and NF-κB signaling pathway of lung cancer. MTT and colony formation assays were used to analyze the proliferation of lung cancer cells in presence of DRIA treatment, which showed that DRIA dose-dependently inhibited the proliferation and colony formation of lung cancer cells. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay revealed that interleukin-6 (IL6) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) levels were reduced by DRIA. p65-NFκB expression and activation, which was enhanced by TNF-α and C/EBPβ treatment, were attenuated by DRIA. Exogenous tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and CCAAT/enhancer binding protein (C/EBPβ) were used to enhance NF-κB signaling in cells, and the effects of DRIA in attenuating NF-κB signaling were assessed by analyzing p65-NFκB expression in mRNA and protein levels, using quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR), western blot and immunofluorescence staining. immunohistochemical staining revealed that Ki-67 and p65-NF-κB levels in A594 tumor xenografts of A594 tumors were also reduced by DRIA treatment in mice. Our data indicates that DRIA is effective in inhibiting the proliferation and NFκB signaling of lung cancer both in vitro and in vivo.

As a subtype of non-small-cell lung cancer, lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) accounts for one-fifth of all lung cancers. Unfortunately, no specific targetable aberration has yet been identified. Hence, it is of huge urgency and potential to identify aberrantly regulated genes in LUSC. Here, five pairs of LUSC samples and their corresponding adjacent tissues were subject to whole transcriptome sequencing. Our results showed that CTD-2562J17.6 and FENDRR were significantly downregulated while MIR205HG, LNC_000378, RP11-116G8.5, RP3-523K23.2, and RP5-968D22.1 were significantly upregulated in all five LUSC samples. Importantly, MIR205HG was upregulated in LUSC clinical samples as well as in LUSC cell lines. Interestingly, our results demonstrated that the expression level of MIR205HG is positively correlated with the malignancy. In addition, MIR205HG is required for LUSC cell growth and cell migration. Most importantly, our results showed that MIR205HG prohibits LUSC apoptosis via regulating Bcl-2 and Bax. Taken together, our data shed lights on the lncRNA regulatory nexus that controls the carcinogenesis of LUSC and provided potential novel diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets for LUSC.

Introduction Lung cancer is a major public health problem, as the second causes of cancer related death worldwide, with relatively low survival rates, and accessible drug resistance. Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) have been identified as activator in lung cancer with elusive mechanisms. We aimed to detect the regulation of LncRNA MALAT1 in the proliferation and gefitinib resistance in lung cancer cells. Methods MALAT1 in A549 and HCC 1299 human lung adenocarcinoma cell lines was silenced by shRNA or overexpressed using plasmid, and the cell viability and cell proliferation were evaluated by MTT assay and soft agar colony formation assay. RNA levels were detected by RT-PCR, and the protein expression was measured by western blot. The binding between MALAT1 and miR-200a was validated by luciferase reporter assays using pSi-Chech 2 vectors. Results The cell viability and proliferation of A549 cells transfected with MALAT1 shRNA were significantly lower than the control. The MALAT1 expression in gefitinib resistant A549 cells was upregulated. miR-200a significantly inhibited the fluorescence of pSi-Check 2 vector with MALAT1 gene, suggesting the direct binding between MALAT1 and miR-200a. In addition, LncRNA MALAT1 promotes ZEB1 expression in A549 cells. Conclusion Our study showed that MALAT1 promoted the proliferation and gefitinib resistance of lung cancer cells by sponging miR-200a, which regulates expression of ZEB1 in the A549 cells. This MALAT1/miR-200a axis could serve as new therapeutic target for lung cancer treatment.

The hygromycin phosphotransferase (HPT) gene as a selective marker is normally used in screening tests as a first step in detecting and quantifying genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in seeds, food, and feed materials. Nevertheless, if researchers only focus on the HPT gene, it is difficult to distinguish genetically modified (GM) crops from microbial infection, leading to miscalculation of the rate of GM materials in a given sample set. Here, we cloned the 7259 bp sequence carrying the HPT gene from soybean sprouts using the genome walking strategy. BLAST analysis revealed that this sequence was derived from plasmids naturally occurring in microorganisms, such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae or Salmonella sp. Using the reconstructed plasmid pFP-hpt, qualitative PCR and quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) methods were established, and 261 bp and 156 bp products were produced. The specificity of these assays was assessed against related pFP-hpt plasmids, plant species with important agronomic traits, and GM crops containing the HPT gene. No unexpected results were observed between samples using these qualitative PCR and qPCR methods. The sensitivity of this qualitative PCR assay was determined at 20 copies, while the limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) of qPCR were both 5 copies per reaction. Our in-house validation indicated that the amplification efficiency, linearity, and repeatability of this qPCR assay were in line with performance requirements. Furthermore, a qualitative and quantitative duplex PCR showed high reliability for the simultaneous detection of the HPT gene in a plant sample and environmental micro-organisms harboring the HPT gene in one PCR reaction. These qualitative PCR and qPCR assays were able to differentiate between plants infected with E. coli harboring the HPT gene from GM plants, indicating that these two methods are broadly applicable for routine GMO testing.

Previous studies have revealed that the liver is the main target organ of deposition for engineered nanoparticles. The hepatotoxicity of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), the widely used antimicrobial nanoparticles, has been of great interest. However, little is known about the regulatory mechanism of the mitochondria in AgNP-induced hepatotoxicity. In the present study, we found that AgNPs, rather than silver ions, induced mitochondrial dynamics disorders, oxidative stress, and mitochondria-dependent hepatocyte apoptosis in mice. Using human hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2) cells, we confirmed that the interaction between dynamin-related protein 1 (DRP1)-dependent mitochondrial fission and oxidative stress promoted mitochondrial damage and mitochondria-dependent apoptosis induced by AgNPs, as determined by the elimination of DRP1 or addition of N-acetylcysteine (NAC). Interestingly, the crosstalk between DRP1-dependent mitochondrial fission and oxidative stress also activated mitophagy and autophagy flux blocking. Phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN)-induced putative kinase 1 (PINK1) gene silencing contributed to the aggravation of mitochondrial damage, oxidative stress, and apoptosis. These results revealed that the interplay between mitochondrial fission and oxidative stress induced mitophagy defects and triggered AgNP-induced mitochondria-dependent apoptosis in liver cells both in vivo and in vitro. Our findings provide a perspective for the mechanism of hepatotoxicity induced by exposure to metal NPs.

The enforcement of GMO labeling regulations requires validated analytical methods and certified reference materials (CRMs). The early labeling regulations stipulated that the GMO content should be expressed as percentage, but did not specify what unit this percentage referred to. Two reference systems, using mass fraction and copy number ratio as measurement units, individually, are established for GMO analysis using different metrological traceability chains. Three types of CRMs, powder CRMs certified for mass fractions, genomic DNA CRMs, and plasmid DNA CRMs certified for copy number ratios, were developed for calibration and quality control. The type, certification, and measurement unit commutability of current GMO CRMs are presented and discussed in this paper. Both existing reference systems are facing a metrological challenge, although later EU regulations specified that the measurement unit of GMO content must be expressed in mass fraction and recommended to convert one unit into another by introducing a conversion factor, further efforts are required to explore which reference system is more metrologically sound. The determination of conversion factor per CRM batch is recommended to be based on the pure CRMs produced from pure GM materials, which is expected to be the best choice for calibration of PCR measurement results.

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) could accumulate in the central nervous system (CNS) and induce neurotoxicity for their widespread use in industry and medicine. Mitochondria are vulnerable to toxicity of AgNPs, however, their role in the neurotoxicity remains unclear. This study aimed to evaluate AgNPs-induced synaptic degeneration in mouse hippocampal neurons (at a dose of 12-120 mg/kg BW via intravenous injection), and to further investigate mechanism of mitophagy, mitochondrial biogenesis process in the neurotoxicity. The results indicated that AgNPs accumulated in mouse hippocampal neurons and induced neurological deficits of learning and memory, which involved in synaptic degeneration accompanied with mitochondrial damage. Mechanistically, AgNPs exposure increased protein expression of PTEN-induced kinase 1 (PINK1), Parkin and inhibited peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor coactivator 1 alpha (PGC-1α) protein expression, caused disturbed mitophagy and mitochondrial biogenesis. AgNPs also induced synaptic damage by increasing the protein expression of synaptophysin and decreasing PSD95, MAP2 protein expression. AgNPs exposure even promoted protein expression of amyloid precursor protein (APP) using in amyloid-β (Aβ) cleavage. Furthermore, AgNPs induced hippocampal neuronal synaptic degeneration, mitophagy and mitochondrial biogenesis is dependent on particle-specific AgNPs rather than released silver ions. Our research could provide insights into the regulatory mechanisms of AgNPs-induced neurotoxicity. This study will shed the light of neurotoxicological evaluation of nanoparticles and possible early warning of biomedical applications.

Genome-edited plants created by genome editing technology have been approved for commercialization. Due to molecular characteristics that differ from classic genetically modified organisms (GMOs), establishing regulation-compliant analytical methods for identification and quantification of genome-edited plants has always been regarded as a challenging task. An editing-site-specific PCR method was developed based on the unique edited sequence in CAO1-edited rice plants. Test results of seven primer/probe sets indicated that this method can identify specific CAO1-edited rice from other CAO1-edited rice and wild types of rice with high specificity and sensitivity. The use of LNA (locked nucleic acid) in a probe can efficiently increase the specificity of the editing-site-specific PCR method at increased annealing temperature which can eliminate non-specific amplification of the non-target. The genome-edited ingredient content in blinded samples at the level of 0.1% to 5.0% was accurately quantified by this method on the ddPCR platform with RSD of &lt, 15% and bias in the range of ±17%, meeting the performance requirements for GMO detection method. The developed editing-site-specific PCR method presents a promising detection and quantification technique for genome-edited plants with known edited sequence.

Travelling Salesman Problem(TSP) is a classical combinatorial optimization problem. There are numerous algorithms to solve it in the field, like Genetic Algorithm, Any Colony Algorithm, Simulated Annealing Algorithm. However, these algorithms usually have the weak global seach ability, premature converging capability, weak parallel ability and poor accuracy. Particularly, when facing large-scale combinatorial optimization problems, the algorithms above often require a great time cost. In this paper, we propose OSGI-MPH(Multi Parent Hybrid Algorithm based on Optimal Selection and Gene Insertion) by integrating a variety of heuristic seaerch algorithms and intelligent optimization algorithms. The algorithms and intelligent optimization algorithms. The algorithms has excellent global search ability and convergence ability. We test the performance of the algorithm in large-scale TSPLIB instances, and the results show that the algorithm has excellent performance compared with the traditional heuristic algorithm and intelligent optimization algorithm.

The human genome is pervasively transcribed and produces a wide variety of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), constituting the majority of transcripts across human cell types. Studying lncRNAs is challenging due to their low expression level, cell type-specific occurrence, poor sequence conservation between orthologs, and lack of information about RNA domains. LncRNAs direct the regulatory factors in the locations that are in cis to their transcription sites. We designed a model to predict if an lncRNA acts in cis based on its features and trained it using RNA-chromatin interaction data. The trained model is cell type-independent and does not require RNA-chromatin data. Combining RNA-chromatin and Hi-C data, we showed that lncRNA-chromatin binding sites are determined by chromosome conformation. For each lncRNA, the spatially proximal genes were identified as their potential targets by combining Hi-C and Cap Analysis Gene Expression (CAGE) data in 18 human cell types. RNA-protein and RNA-chromatin interaction data suggested that lncRNAs act as scaffolds to recruit regulatory proteins to target promoters and enhancers. With the widespread application and inevitable environmental exposure, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) can be accumulated in various organs. More serious concerns are raised on the biological safety and potential toxicity of AgNPs in the central nervous system (CNS), especially in the hippocampus. This study aimed to investigate the biological effects and the role of PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway in AgNPs mediated cytotoxicity using the mouse hippocampal neuronal cell line (HT22 cells). AgNPs reduced cell viability and induced membrane leakage in a dose-dependent manner, determined by the MTT and LDH assay. In doses of 25, 50, 100 μg mL-1 for 24 h, AgNPs promoted the excessive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and caused the oxidative stress in HT22 cells. AgNPs induced autophagy, determined by the transmission electron microscopy observation, upregulation of LC3 II/I and downregulation of p62 expression levels. The mechanistic investigation showed that the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway was activated by phosphorylation, which was enrolled in an AgNP-induced autophagy process. AgNPs could further trigger the apoptosis by upregulation of caspase-3 and Bax and downregulation of Bcl-2 in HT22 cells. These results revealed AgNP-induced cytotoxicity in HT22 cells, which was mediated by autophagy and apoptosis via the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. The study could provide the experimental evidence and explanation for the potential neurotoxicity triggered by AgNPs in vitro.

It has been reported that high-mobility group box 3 is overexpressed in various cancers. This study aimed to explore its function in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A546 and H460 cell lines were used for in vivo experiments, scratch healing tests, transwell migration and invasion experiments. It was first found that HMGB3 was highly expressed in tumor tissues in the patients and associated with NSCLC stage. Silencing of HMGB3 significantly slowed the growth, proliferation and invasion of NSCLC in vitro, and repressed cell growth in vivo. Mechanistic studies suggest that the observed effects were mediated by inhibiting the expression of β-catenin/MMP7/c-Myc in Wnt pathway. Our study highlights the role of HMGB3 in NSCLC, which may provide a therapeutic target for the treatment of NSCLC.
