The binding interactions of CyP6Q[6] with a series of alkyl diammonium (+H3N(CH2)nNH3+, n = 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12) and aryl diammonium (p-phenylenediammonium and p-xylenediammonium) ions both in aqueous solution and in the solid state have been studied by 1H NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, and isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) techniques. 1H NMR data indicate that all guests exhibit endo binding with CyP6Q[6] except for the ethanediammonium ion, which bound exo to CyP6Q[6]. p-Xylenediammonium ions show mixed behavior (exo and endo binding with CyP6Q[6]). X-ray crystallography clearly displays the extended and contorted conformations of the guests when bound within CyP6Q[6]. The ITC study points out that the CyP6Q[6] complex formations with all guests are mainly driven by enthalpy, which arises from the ion–dipole interactions and the hydrophobic effects.

In this study, fully substituted cyclopentano cucurbit[5]uril (CyP 5 Q[5]) were coordinated with an alkaline earth cations (AE 2+ ) in the presence of tetrachlorozincate anions ([ZnCl 4 ] 2− ). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the CyP 5 Q[5]–Mg 2+ –[ZnCl 4 ] 2− –HCl interaction system yielded an Mg 2+ /Cl − @CyP 5 Q[5]-type molecular bowl, with a chloride anion in the cavity of the CyP 5 Q[5] moiety. The CyP 5 Q[5]–Ca 2+ and Sr 2+ –[ZnCl 4 ] 2− –HCl interaction systems yielded isolated AE 2+ /CyP 5 Q[5]/AE 2+ -type molecular capsules, again with a chloride anion in the CyP 5 Q[5] cavity. A honeycomb effect was evident in all three systems, in which the of the [ZnCl 4 ] 2− anions surround the CyP 5 Q[5] molecules through outer surface interactions between Q[n] and electrostatic interactions with AE 2+ cations, resulting in the formation of porous supramolecular assemblies. Direct coordination between Ba 2+ and CyP 5 Q[5] yielded zigzag coordination polymers. The CyP 5 Q[5]/AE 2+ -based supramolecular assemblies (AE = Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) presented different porous conformations and displayed differential absorption of volatile compounds.

Coordination of fully substituted cyclopentano cucurbit[5]uril (CyP5Q[5]) with an alkali cation (A+) in the presence of tetrachloridezicate anions was investigated. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the CyP5Q[5]–Na+ and K+–[ZnCl4]2−–HCl interaction systems yielded an A+/Cl−@CyP5Q[5]/A+-type molecular capsule, and that a chloride anion was included in the cavity of the CyP5Q[5] molecule. [ZnCl4]2− anions were not involved in direct coordination with the A+/Cl−@CyP5Q[5]/A+ capsule. The CyP5Q[5]–Rb+ and Cs+–[ZnCl4]2−–HCl interaction systems yielded an A+/CyP5Q[5]/A+-type molecular capsule shell, and no chloride anions were included in the cavity of the CyP5Q[5] molecule. [ZnCl4]2− anions directly interacted with coordinated Rb+ or Cs+ cations through electrostatic interaction, and [ZnCl4]2− anions in particular played the role of linkers, resulting in the formation of a linear supramolecular assembly ⋯[ZnCl4]2−–A+/Cl−@CyP5Q[5]/A+–[ZnCl4]2−–A+/Cl−@CyP5Q[5]/A+⋯. Close inspection revealed that the obtained CyP5Q[5]/A+-based supramolecular assemblies (A = Na, K, Rb, Cs) presented different porous conformation and could show different absorption properties.

The interactions between cyclopentanocucurbit[6]uril (abbreviated as CyP6Q[6]) and a series of dialkyl-4,4′-bipyridinium and diaryl-4,4′-bipyridinium dicationic guest molecules, where the alkyl group is CH3(CH2)n with n=0–6 (expressed as G1 to G7) and the aryl group is phenylene (G8) and xylene (G9), have been investigated in aqueous solution using 1H NMR spectroscopy, isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), and electronic absorption spectroscopy. Our results show that G1 and G2 form 1:1 host–guest inclusion complexes with CyP6Q[6], in which the bipyridinium core is partially embedded in the cavity of CyP6Q[6]. G3–G9 form 2:1 dumbbell-type host–guest inclusion complexes, in which the substituents are encapsulated by CyP6Q[6]. At the same time, CyP6Q[6] was compared with several other cucurbit[n]urils (Q[n]s) and their derivatives, such as Q[6], Q[7], and TMeQ[6], which have been reported to interact with this type of guest molecule. In its binding mode, CyP6Q[6] shows many interesting and different properties, and this difference was mainly reflected with G1 and G2.

Coordination and supramolecular assemblies of a fully substituted cyclopentanocucurbit[6]uril (CyP6Q[6]) with a series of lanthanide cations (Ln3+) have been investigated in the presence of tetrachlorozincate anion ([ZnCl4]2–). X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis has revealed that the interaction of CyP6Q[6] and a series of Ln3+cations unexpectedly results in the formation of at least seven different CyP6Q[6]-based coordination complex adduct and supramolecular assemblies groups, including with (1) La3+, Ce3+cations; (2) Pr3+, Nd3+cations; (3) Eu3+, Gd3+, Tb3+, Dy3+ with P1 or P1 space group, in which CyP6Q[6] molecules coordinate alternatively with Ln3+cations and form linear coordination polymers; (4) CyP6Q[6] molecules interact alternatively with [Ho(H2O)8]3+ aqueous complexes and form linear supramolecular chains; CyP6Q[6] molecules can assemble two different Ln3+ free porous supramolecular assemblies from CyP6Q[6]–Ln(NO3)3–ZnCl2–HCl systems, Ln = Tm, Yb, and Lu; however, no solid crystals were...

Recently the steel wire reinforced thermoplastics composite pipelines are increasingly used in many different fields. In this paper, a parametric finite element model (FEM) of Steel Wire Reinforced Thermoplastics Composite Pipe (SRTP) was established by using ANSYS parametric design language (APDL). The purpose of optimization was to reduce the cost, so the minimum of pipelines total weight was chosen as the optimization objective. The wall thickness of SRTP and the diameter and axial pitch of braided steel wire were chosen as the main optimize parameters. The whole optimization process must ensure that the bearing capacity of SRTP was not weakened, so the yield strength was chosen as the optimization constraints. The optimization results were reasonable and correct.

3D ink-jet printing is regarded as the ideal manufacturing technology for Heterogeneous Object(HO) materials, but this technology is much restricted by the high requirement on idealized materials, high forming cost and imperfect modeling and layering technology for HO. To solve these problems, a virtual 3D ink-jet printing system for simulation of HO fabrication is developed in this paper. Since the physical model is replaced by the digital model, the potential risk will be avoided effectively and it will result in higher product quality and much lower manufacturing cost. Finally, examples of the virtual formed prototypes are given.

The biomass pellet fuel has the advantages of easily to be stored and transported，convenie -ntly to be used，clean and environmental friendly as well as high combustion efficiency. On the fou -ndation of studying combustion process, this paper obtained the industry analysis values of eight kinds of biomass pellet fuels by experiment. Combined with fire indicator of Fu-Zhang and combus -tion characteristics indicator of Yan Niu, the values of FZ and ZM are calculated, and then it is obtained that the decorative paper has the minimum ignition temperature, contrary the rice husk has the highest ignition temperature. Finally, by observing the morphology of ash after the burning of fuel combustion, it is pointed out that with increasing temperature from 740°C to 920°C, gray color of pell -et fuel gradually from black to white, hardness gra -dually hardened by the soft, even coke residue.

According to different sources of using sewage, it can be divided into untreated sewage and reclaimed water. The wastewater treatment station in Shandong Jianzhu University is used as the experimental base in this paper. The components from school life sewage was received. The growth regulation of fouling on the surface of PE pipe in untreated sewage and the maximum thickness of fouling growth was found through biological electron microscopy.

This paper deals with the background and significance of working on heterogeneous objects modeling and briefly introduces the architecture of ACIS and HOOPS and their corresponding functional modules. Based on inverse-distance weighting algorithm to determine the material composition within the object, the general approach to modeling the heterogeneous objects by using ACIS and HOOPS is introduced and demonstrated via some simple examples.

The graded composite materials were fabricated by direct inkjet printing of nano-electropolar mineral and nano-hydroxyapatite powders for the study of inhibiting function on streptococcus mutans, which is a primary pathogen for human dental caries. The electropolar mineral can be utilized in many fields due to its spontaneous permanent polarity and far infrared emission properties. In this study, the graded distribution of the streptococcus mutans on the surface of graded composite materials was investigated by energy dispersion spectrometry, and the mechanism of which is that the streptococcus mutans was remained in the culture of pH at about 8.5 self-adjustment induced by the electropolar mineral. This culture inhibits growth and acid production of streptococcus mutans. Therefore, this composite materials have inhibitory effects on streptococcus mutans, and can be used as a promising biomaterial for preventing human teeth from caries.
