We investigate the three-dimensional compressible Euler-Maxwell system, a model for simulating the transport of electrons interacting with propagating electromagnetic waves in semiconductor devices. First, we show the global well-posedness of classical solutions being a sharp small perturbation of constant equilibrium in a critical regularity setting, uniformly with respect to the relaxation parameter $\varepsilon>0$. Then, for all times $t>0$, we derive quantitative error estimates at the rate $O(\varepsilon)$ between the rescaled Euler-Maxwell system and the limit drift-diffusion model. To the best of our knowledge, this work provides the first global-in-time strong convergence for the relaxation procedure in the case of ill-prepared data. In order to prove our results, we develop a new characterization of the dissipation structure for the linearized Euler-Maxwell system with respect to the relaxation parameter $\varepsilon$. This is done by partitioning the frequency space into three distinct regimes: low, medium and high frequencies, each associated with a different behaviour of the solution. As a newly emerging advance in deep generative models, diffusion models have achieved state-of-the-art results in many fields, including computer vision, natural language processing, and molecule design. The remote sensing community has also noticed the powerful ability of diffusion models and quickly applied them to a variety of tasks for image processing. Given the rapid increase in research on diffusion models in the field of remote sensing, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive review of existing diffusion model-based remote sensing papers, to help researchers recognize the potential of diffusion models and provide some directions for further exploration. Specifically, this paper first introduces the theoretical background of diffusion models, and then systematically reviews the applications of diffusion models in remote sensing, including image generation, enhancement, and interpretation. Finally, the limitations of existing remote sensing diffusion models and worthy research directions for further exploration are discussed and summarized.

In a recent paper, Cho and Kim proved that in subcubic graphs, the independent domination number is at most three times the packing number. They subsequently posed the question of characterizing subcubic graphs that achieve this bound. In this paper, we completely solve the question by proving that exactly four graphs meet this bound.

We propose a weakly supervised semantic segmentation method for point clouds that predicts "per-point" labels from just "whole-scene" annotations while achieving the performance of recent fully supervised approaches. Our core idea is to propagate the scene-level labels to each point in the point cloud by creating pseudo labels in a conservative way. Specifically, we over-segment point cloud features via unsupervised clustering and associate scene-level labels with clusters through bipartite matching, thus propagating scene labels only to the most relevant clusters, leaving the rest to be guided solely via unsupervised clustering. We empirically demonstrate that over-segmentation and bipartite assignment plays a crucial role. We evaluate our method on ScanNet and S3DIS datasets, outperforming state of the art, and demonstrate that we can achieve results comparable to fully supervised methods., Comment: The first two authors contributed equally; Project website: https://densify-your-labels.github.io/

Hyperspectral Image (HSI) classification is an important issue in remote sensing field with extensive applications in earth science. In recent years, a large number of deep learning-based HSI classification methods have been proposed. However, existing methods have limited ability to handle high-dimensional, highly redundant, and complex data, making it challenging to capture the spectral-spatial distributions of data and relationships between samples. To address this issue, we propose a generative framework for HSI classification with diffusion models (SpectralDiff) that effectively mines the distribution information of high-dimensional and highly redundant data by iteratively denoising and explicitly constructing the data generation process, thus better reflecting the relationships between samples. The framework consists of a spectral-spatial diffusion module, and an attention-based classification module. The spectral-spatial diffusion module adopts forward and reverse spectral-spatial diffusion processes to achieve adaptive construction of sample relationships without requiring prior knowledge of graphical structure or neighborhood information. It captures spectral-spatial distribution and contextual information of objects in HSI and mines unsupervised spectral-spatial diffusion features within the reverse diffusion process. Finally, these features are fed into the attention-based classification module for per-pixel classification. The diffusion features can facilitate cross-sample perception via reconstruction distribution, leading to improved classification performance. Experiments on three public HSI datasets demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve better performance than state-of-the-art methods. Color plays an important role in human visual perception, reflecting the spectrum of objects. However, the existing infrared and visible image fusion methods rarely explore how to handle multi-spectral/channel data directly and achieve high color fidelity. This paper addresses the above issue by proposing a novel method with diffusion models, termed as Dif-Fusion, to generate the distribution of the multi-channel input data, which increases the ability of multi-source information aggregation and the fidelity of colors. In specific, instead of converting multi-channel images into single-channel data in existing fusion methods, we create the multi-channel data distribution with a denoising network in a latent space with forward and reverse diffusion process. Then, we use the the denoising network to extract the multi-channel diffusion features with both visible and infrared information. Finally, we feed the multi-channel diffusion features to the multi-channel fusion module to directly generate the three-channel fused image. To retain the texture and intensity information, we propose multi-channel gradient loss and intensity loss. Along with the current evaluation metrics for measuring texture and intensity fidelity, we introduce a new evaluation metric to quantify color fidelity. Whispering-gallery mode crystalline resonators currently maintain the best quality factor (Q) record, however, compact on-chip packaging is still a challenge although various coupling architectures have been developed. Here, a chemical etching method is proposed to fabricate a miniaturized tapered fiber waveguide on silicon substrate. The Marangoni effect is implemented to reduce the surface roughness of the cone region. The optical loss of 0.1 dB/mm is obtained, and the Q of on-chip crystalline resonator exceeds 108. The sandwich structure as the core layer of PDMS resonator is proposed for single-axis magnetic sensor with high sensitivity. The small Young's modulus of flexible material corresponds to larger variation, resulting in a highly sensitive magnetic response. The sandwich structure pre-set magnetic field provides directional sensing feature. The experimental results show that the redshift sensitivity of 1.08 nm/mT and the blueshift sensitivity of 1.12 nm/mT in the unshielded environment, which is attributed to slight variation in PDMS Young's modulus. At 1.4 kHz, a minimum detectable magnetic field of 0.96 nT Hz-1/2 is realized.

In recent years, supervised learning has been widely used in various tasks of optical remote sensing image understanding, including remote sensing image classification, pixel-wise segmentation, change detection, and object detection. The methods based on supervised learning need a large amount of high-quality training data and their performance highly depends on the quality of the labels. However, in practical remote sensing applications, it is often expensive and time-consuming to obtain large-scale data sets with high-quality labels, which leads to a lack of sufficient supervised information. In some cases, only coarse-grained labels can be obtained, resulting in the lack of exact supervision. In addition, the supervised information obtained manually may be wrong, resulting in a lack of accurate supervision. Therefore, remote sensing image understanding often faces the problems of incomplete, inexact, and inaccurate supervised information, which will affect the breadth and depth of remote sensing applications. In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, researchers have explored various tasks in remote sensing image understanding under weak supervision. This paper summarizes the research progress of weakly supervised learning in the field of remote sensing, including three typical weakly supervised paradigms: 1) Incomplete supervision, where only a subset of training data is labeled; 2) Inexact supervision, where only coarse-grained labels of training data are given; 3) Inaccurate supervision, where the labels given are not always true on the ground.

The weight of a RDRD-function $f$ is the sum $f(V)=\sum_{v \in V(G)} f(v)$, and the minimum weight of a RDRD-function on $G$ is the restrained double Roman domination number (RDRD-number) of $G$, denoted by $\gamma_{rdR}(G)$. In this paper, we first prove that the problem of computing RDRD-number is NP-hard even for chordal graphs. And then we study the impact of some graph operations, such as strong product, cardinal product and corona with a graph, on restrained double Roman domination number.

Leaf segmentation is the most direct and effective way for high-throughput plant phenotype data analysis and quantitative researches of complex traits. Currently, the primary goal of plant phenotyping is to raise the accuracy of the autonomous phenotypic measurement. In this work, we present the LeafMask neural network, a new end-to-end model to delineate each leaf region and count the number of leaves, with two main components: 1) the mask assembly module merging position-sensitive bases of each predicted box after non-maximum suppression (NMS) and corresponding coefficients to generate original masks; 2) the mask refining module elaborating leaf boundaries from the mask assembly module by the point selection strategy and predictor. In addition, we also design a novel and flexible multi-scale attention module for the dual attention-guided mask (DAG-Mask) branch to effectively enhance information expression and produce more accurate bases. Our main contribution is to generate the final improved masks by combining the mask assembly module with the mask refining module under the anchor-free instance segmentation paradigm. We validate our LeafMask through extensive experiments on Leaf Segmentation Challenge (LSC) dataset. Our proposed model achieves the 90.09% BestDice score outperforming other state-of-the-art approaches.
