Background The lopinavir/ritonavir (LPV/r) -based second-line antiretroviral therapy (ART) has been used for treating HIV/AIDS patients in China for more than 10 years, but post-therapy immunological non-response (INR) in these patients has been rarely studied. Objective To explore the prevalence and influencing factors of post-therapy INR in HIV/AIDS patients switching from first- to second-line ART. Methods Data (including general information and three-year follow-up information after switching to second-line ART) were collected from the Database of TCM Treatment for AIDS and AIDS Prevention and Control Information System, involving 3 016 HIV/AIDS patients (baseline CD4+ T cell count50 year : OR=1.81, 95%CI (1.36, 2.42) 〕, route of infection〔blood: OR=1.40, 95%CI (1.06, 1.85) 〕, duration of HIV positive〔3-6 years: OR=1.48, 95%CI (1.02, 2.13) 〕, duration of HAART therapy before switch to second-line ART〔3-5 year: OR=0.66, 95%CI (0.48, 0.90) ; >5 year: OR=0.71, 95%CI (0.53, 0.95) 〕and baseline CD4+ T cells count〔50 year: OR=1.8, 95%CI (1.31, 2.49) 〕, route of infection〔blood: OR=1.45, 95%CI (1.07, 2.00) 〕, baseline CD4+ T cell count〔

Background: This study has employed network analysis while investigating the interrelationships among stress and stigma symptoms and their associations with quality of life among Chinese female infertility patients. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 428 female patients who visited the Department of Reproductive Center of Dalian Women and Children's Medical Group with chief complaints of infertility symptoms were recruited using convenience sampling from November 2022 to December 2023. Fertility-related stress and stigma status were examined by the Fertility Problem Inventory (FPI) and Infertility Stigma Scale (ISS), respectively. Quality of life was examined by the Fertility Quality of Life (FertiQoL). Network analysis was conducted to estimate the network of stress and stigma symptoms. The flow network approach was used to identify specific stigma and stress symptoms related to quality of life. Expected influence (EI) and bridge expected influence (bEI) were used to quantify central and bridge symptoms in the network, respectively. The bootstrapping method evaluated the accuracy and robustness of the network estimates. Results: The average predictability of FPI and ISS symptoms was 0.67. The "relationship concern" was the most central symptom across all centrality indices, followed by "public stigma" and "social concern". The main symptoms bridging the FPI and ISS clusters were "self-devaluation", "social concern", and "relationship concern". The network demonstrated robustness in stability and accuracy tests. In the flow network, "social withdrawal" and "self-devaluation" showed strong negative associations with FertiQoL. Conclusions: "Relationship concern," "public stigma," "social concern," and "self-devaluation" have been identified as the main central and bridge symptoms in the stress and stigma network in this study. Notably, stigma symptoms, particularly "social withdrawal" and "self-devaluation", showed stronger associations with FertiQoL compared to stress symptoms, highlighting their importance in potential treatment strategies. Excellent traditional culture is the root and soul of a nation, which is the carrier of historical precipitation and continuous development. In this aspect, Hubei folk art of carved paper-cutting has important cultural value and historical significance in the composition of Chinese traditional culture, which is a national intangible cultural heritage under key protection and urgently needs to be carried forward. This paper carried out an empirical study using the survey and comparative analysis methods on the feature extraction for Hubei folk art of carved paper-cutting. Through investigation and comparative analysis of vast artworks of Hubei carved paper-cutting, the classics are selected as the representative to extract the regional characteristics, the artistic values, and the composition and modelling methods. Results indicate that the common features exist on the artistic values in beautification of life and education, the composition principles of central-based, symmetry, balanced or conformal, and the modelling techniques using Yin and Yang carving, unobstructive perspective, distortion and exaggeration. However, the regional features in cultural expression, folklore communication, modelling skills are apparent and strong interlinked with the regional historical development in social activities, labor productivity and surrounding environment. This study provides a multi-dimensional perspective for the modern inheritance and development of traditional Hubei artworks of carved paper-cutting with specified characteristics. Background and Hypothesis Schizophrenia (SCZ) is associated with complex crosstalk between the gut microbiota and host metabolism, but the underlying mechanism remains elusive. Investigating the aberrant neurotransmitter processes reflected by alterations identified using multiomics analysis is valuable to fully explain the pathogenesis of SCZ. Study Design We conducted an integrative analysis of multiomics data, including the serum metabolome, fecal metagenome, single nucleotide polymorphism data, and neuroimaging data obtained from a cohort of 127 drug-naïve, first-episode SCZ patients and 92 healthy controls to characterize the microbiome–gut–brain axis in SCZ patients. We used pathway-based polygenic risk score (PRS) analyses to determine the biological pathways contributing to genetic risk and mediation effect analyses to determine the important neuroimaging features. Additionally, a random forest model was generated for effective SCZ diagnosis. Study Results We found that the altered metabolome and dysregulated microbiome were associated with neuroactive metabolites, including gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), tryptophan, and short-chain fatty acids. Further structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging analyses highlighted that gray matter volume and functional connectivity disturbances mediate the relationships between Ruminococcus_torgues and Collinsella_aerofaciens and symptom severity and the relationships between species Lactobacillus_ruminis and differential metabolites l -2,4-diaminobutyric acid and N -acetylserotonin and cognitive function. Moreover, analyses of the Polygenic Risk Score (PRS) support that alterations in GABA and tryptophan neurotransmitter pathways are associated with SCZ risk, and GABA might be a more dominant contributor. Conclusions This study provides new insights into systematic relationships among genes, metabolism, and the gut microbiota that affect brain functional connectivity, thereby affecting SCZ pathogenesis. Furniture products are the main sources of indoor air pollution due to the emission of formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It is great significant to establish a scientific certification and evaluation system to promote furniture manufacturers to reduce the harmful substances release in furniture products and protect human health in China. This paper describes an investigation on release of formaldehyde, soluble heavy metals, benzene, toluene, xylene and other substances from 28 furniture products by dryer method and environmental chamber method. Studies on current development status of certification and evaluation of harmful substance release from furniture products in China were carried out. Case study of certification and evaluation method suitable for furniture production industry was made, and the existing problems and suggestions were provided for improvement of certification and evaluation method system based on the characteristics of furniture industry.

Various psychosocial and psychological interventions have been developed to reduce schizophrenia relapse prevention. A better understanding of these active interventions is important for clinical practice and for meaningful allocation of resources. However, no bibliometric analysis of this area has been conducted. Studies were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database. The publication outputs and cooperation of institutions were visualized with Origin 2021. Global cooperation was visualized using ArcGIS Pro3.0. VOSviewer was used to generate visualizations of network of authors and keywords. The number of annual publications generally showed a fluctuating upward trend over the past 20 years. Germany published the most relevant articles (361, 26.76%). The Technical University of Munich was the most productive institution (70, 9.86%). Leucht Stefan published the most articles (46, 6.48%) and had the highest number of citations (4,375 citations). Schizophrenia Research published the most studies (39, 5.49%). Keywords were roughly classified into three clusters: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family interventions and family psychoeducation and other factors related to interventions. The findings provided the current status of research on psychosocial and psychological interventions for schizophrenia relapse prevention from a bibliometric perspective. Objective: To measure serum levels of high mobility group protein B-1 (HMGB1), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α ( TNF-α) before and after antipsychotic treatment, and further study the role of HMGB1 in schizophrenics., Methods: Thirty first-episode schizophrenics who were never treated with neuroleptics from First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and thirty healthy subjects were enrolled. Serum levels of cytokines such as HMGB1, IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α were examined with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) before and after antipsychotic treatment., Results: The serum levels of HMGB1, IL-10, IL-6 and TNF-α in schizophrenics [(80 zophμ8/L, (51 zo, 441 zo, 591 zopng/L] were significantly higher than those in the healthy subjects [(54 gni) μ4/L, (25 gni, 17 gn, 41 gni) ng/L] (P < 0.05). After treating the schizophrenics with the neuroleptic risperidone for 6 months, the serum levels of HMGB1, IL-1β, TNF-α and IL-6 were decreased. The serum levels of HMGB1 were positively correlated to IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α and Negative Symptoms (r = 0.377, r = 0.426, r = 0.454, r = 0.558, P < 0.05)., Conclusions: Schizophrenics show activation of the cytokine system and immune disturbance. HMGB1 may play a proinflammatory role in schizophrenia and the decrease of HMGB1 after neuroleptic risperidone treatment may be a marker of mental symptoms remission.
