To summarise the development, hot topics, and future trends in TDF-related research and provide implementation practitioners with more information on the application of TDF. Methods: We used TDF as the topic and searched the ISI Web of Science Core Collection, identifying 1382 relevant publications. We used analytical tools such as Excel, Tableau, VOSviewer, and Citespace to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the relevant publication. Results: We identified the United Kingdom as the primary contributor, with University College London as the key institution. Susan Michie ranked highest in total citations. The analysis highlighted cancer and stroke as primary clinic medicine-related topics using TDF. Emerging themes encompass abuse, violence, maternal health, antenatal care, patient involvement, and trauma-informed care et al. "Nurse" and "qualitative research" emerged as recent and enduring hotspots, possibly indicating future research trends. Conclusion: This article represents the first attempt to summarise the TDF using bibliometric analysis. We suggest this method can be used to analyse other theoretical frameworks in scientific implementation of its objectivity and quantifiability. Overall, the application scope of TDF is shifting from public health towards more specialised clinical directions, although its application in the field of public health is continuously expanding. Objective  This study sought to assess whether infants exposed to chorioamnionitis are the optimal population to benefit the most from early postnatal hydrocortisone delivery in preventing bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). This meta-analysis was conducted to discover the efficacy of hydrocortisone in preterm infants with and without chorioamnionitis. Study Design  From the earliest available date until March 2018, studies, review articles, and papers published in PubMed, Ovid, and Web of Science were reviewed. Randomized controlled trials comparing hydrocortisone with placebo/no intervention in preterm infants with a known status of chorioamnionitis exposure were included. Results  Early postpartum low-dose hydrocortisone prevents the combined outcome of neonatal BPD or death in infants weighing less than 1,000 g with chorioamnionitis exposure (odds ratio [95% confidence interval]: 0.52 [0.32–0.79]; risk difference: –0.15 [–0.24 to –0.06]; number needed to treat: 6 [4–16]) but not in infants without chorioamnionitis exposure. Further secondary analysis showed no significant difference between the hydrocortisone group and the placebo group in individual outcomes of BPD or death, regardless of infant exposure to chorioamnionitis. Conclusion  Early application of low-dose hydrocortisone could potentially prevent BPD or death in infants weighing less than 1,000 g with exposure to chorioamnionitis. Objective: To explore the genetic basis of a child with Very early onset inflammatory bowel disease (VEOIBD)., Methods: A female child who had presented at the Children's Hospital of Fudan University on May 23, 2018 due to occurrence of diarrhea and fever 6 days after birth was selected as the study subject. Clinical data of the child was collected. Family-based whole-exome sequencing (WES) was carried out. Candidate variant was verified by Sanger sequencing and PCR of the patient and her parents., Results: The child had developed the symptoms 6 days after birth, with main manifestations including diarrhea, fever, failure to thrive, rectovestibular fistula and hypothyroidism. An enterostomy was performed at the age of 3.5 months due to severe intestinal adhesion and obstruction. Based on her clinical manifestations, colonoscopic finding, and results of biopsies, she was diagnosed with VEOIBD in conjunct with congenital hypothyroidism. Replacement treatment of levothyroxine was given since one month of age. Family-based WES revealed that the child has harbored compound heterozygous variants of the DUOX2 gene, namely c.2654G>T (p.R885L) and c.505C>T (p.R169W), in addition with a heterozygous c.301C>T (p.R101W) variant of the IL10RA gene. Re-analysis of the WES data revealed that the patient also had a 333 bp deletion spanning exon 1 of the IL10RA gene (Chr11: 117857034_117857366)., Conclusion: For patients with VEOIBD, genetic testing is recommended. Presence of additional DUOX2 gene variants might have exacerbated the clinical symptoms in this patient. Above finding has facilitated genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis for this family, and raised clinicians' awareness of this rare disease.

Background: Abdominal wound dehiscence (AWD) is a costly postoperative complication; its management is particularly challenging for WOC nurses when it occurs secondary to an ostomy closure., Case: We present a case of AWD secondary to ileostomy closure in Baby Q, a 9-month 19-day-old female infant. A silver wound contact dressing was used on her dehisced wound followed by negative pressure wound therapy and adhesive tape to pull the wound edge together and promote granulation. We used a combination of enteral nutrition, parenteral nutrition, total parenteral nutrition, and total enteral nutrition adjusting the feeding plan stepwise according to her nutritional status., Conclusions: Malnutrition and severe peristomal skin complications may contribute to the risk of AWD in infants undergoing reversal of a temporary ostomy.
