Abstract

Isothermal annealing at various temperatures Ta help analyze the magnetic properties and thermal stability of NdGd/FeCo multilayers. Decrease in perpendicular anisotropy and slight changes in saturation magnetization occur in the temperature 300 to 400 degrees Celsius range. Decrease in anisotropy reduces the low angle peak intensity in X-ray diffraction, indicating its relationship with modulation structure of the multilayers.

19. Anisotropic electronic structure and geometry of CaMnO3perovskite with oxygen nonstoichiometry

Abstract

The effects of oxygen nonstoichiometry on material formation, geometrical structure, and electronic structures together with carrier conductions of CaMnO3perovskite are comprehensively studied in detail. Specifically, the formation energy of oxygen nonstoichiometry in CaMnO3perovskite is 8.01eV. It has formation enthalpy of −7.10eV. The MnO6octahedron is diminished along band c, it is expanded along a. All Mn–O bindings tend to tilt and the MnO6octahedron is distorted. The strength of Mn–O bindings parallel to the a–cplane is enhanced; the strength of Mn–O bindings parallel to the bdirection is weakened. The band gaps are 0.804eV and 0.065eV for the CaMnO3and CaMnO2.75, respectively. The work functions are 4.69eV and 2.58eV, respectively. The p orbital electrons form the upper valance bands and the d orbital electrons form the lower conduction bands. The Ca s, Mn d and O p electrons contribute to carrier conductions for CaMnO2.75perovskite.

Abstract

Abstract: The MgAlFe mixed oxides derived from hydrotalcite-like compounds was impregnated with copper and tested for SO2 removal under conditions similar to those of FCC units. By XRD, TG-DTG, BET and IR analysis, the sulfur transfer catalysts with 0.5–3.0% copper exhibited a better dispersion of copper in the precursor. The results of SO2 adsorption–reduction test showed that the novel Cu/MgAlFe catalysts with 0.5–5.0% copper oxide achieved high oxidative adsorption rate and sulfur absorptive capacity, and did not affect the rate of reductive reaction and reducibility.
