3. Bearing-Based Target Entrapping Control of Multiple Uncertain Agents With Arbitrary Maneuvers

Abstract

This paper is concerned with bearing-based cooperative target entrapping control of multiple uncertain agents with arbitrary maneuvers including shape deformation, rotations, scalings, etc. A leader-follower structure is used, where the leaders move with the predesigned trajectories, and the followers are steered by an estimation-based control method, integrating a distance estimator using bearing measurements and a stress matrix-based formation controller. The signum functions are used to compensate for the uncertainties so that the agents' accelerations can be piecewise continuous and bounded to track the desired dynamics. With proper design of the leaders' trajectories and a geometric configuration, an affine matrix is determined so that the persistently exciting conditions of the inter-agent relative bearings can be satisfied since the bearing rates are related to different weighted combinations of the affine matrix vectors. The asymptotic convergence of the estimation error and control error is proved using Filipov properties and cascaded system theories. A sufficient condition for inter-agent collision avoidance is also proposed. 4. A Unitary Operator Construction Solution Based on Pauli Group for Maximal Dense Coding

Abstract

Quantum dense coding plays an important role in quantum cryptography communication, and how to select a set of appropriate unitary operators to encode message is the primary work in the design of quantum communication protocols. Shukla et al. proposed a preliminary method for unitary operator construction based on Pauli group under multiplication, which is used for dense coding in quantum dialogue. However, this method lacks feasible steps or conditions, and cannot construct all the possible unitary operator sets. In this study, a feasible solution of constructing unitary operator sets for quantum maximal dense coding is proposed, which aims to use minimum qubits to maximally encode a class of t-qubit symmetric states. These states have an even number of superposition items, and there is at least one set of t/2 qubits whose superposition items are orthogonal to each other. Firstly, we propose the procedure and the corresponding algorithm for constructing 2^t-order multiplicative modified generalized Pauli subgroups (multiplicative MGP subgroups). Then, two conditions for t-qubit symmetric states are given to select appropriate unitary operator sets from the above subgroups. Finally, we take 3-qubit GHZ, 4-qubit W, 4-qubit cluster and 5-qubit cluster states as examples, and demonstrate how to find all unitary operator sets for maximal dense coding through our construction solution, which shows that our solution is feasible and convenient., Comment: 20 pages, 5 figures

5. Quantum forgery attacks on COPA,AES-COPA and marble authenticated encryption algorithms

Abstract

The classic forgery attacks on COPA, AES-COPA and Marble authenticated encryption algorithms need to query about 2^(n/2) times, and their success probability is not high. To solve this problem, the corresponding quantum forgery attacks on COPA, AES-COPA and Marble authenticated encryption algorithms are presented. In the quantum forgery attacks on COPA and AES-COPA, we use Simon's algorithm to find the period of the tag generation function in COPA and AES-COPA by querying in superposition, and then generate a forged tag for a new message. In the quantum forgery attack on Marble, Simon's algorithm is used to recover the secret parameter L, and the forged tag can be computed with L. Compared with classic forgery attacks on COPA, AES-COPA and Marble, our attack can reduce the number of queries from O(2^(n/2)) to O(n) and improve success probability close to 100%., Comment: 21 pages, 11 figures

Abstract

In order to solve the problem of non-ideal training sets (i.e., the less-complete or over-complete sets) and implement one-iteration learning, a novel efficient quantum perceptron algorithm based on unitary weights is proposed, where the singular value decomposition of the total weight matrix from the training set is calculated to make the weight matrix to be unitary. The example validation of quantum gates {H, S, T, CNOT, Toffoli, Fredkin} shows that our algorithm can accurately implement arbitrary quantum gates within one iteration. The performance comparison between our algorithm and other quantum perceptron algorithms demonstrates the advantages of our algorithm in terms of applicability, accuracy, and availability. For further validating the applicability of our algorithm, a quantum composite gate which consists of several basic quantum gates is also illustrated., Comment: 12 pages, 5 figures

Abstract

Machine learning models are increasingly used in many engineering fields thanks to the widespread digital data, growing computing power, and advanced algorithms. Artificial neural networks (ANN) is the most popular machine learning model in recent years. Although many ANN models have been used in the design and analysis of composite materials and structures, there are still some unsolved issues that hinder the acceptance of ANN models in the practical design and analysis of composite materials and structures. Moreover, the emerging machine learning techniques are posting new opportunities and challenges in the data-based design paradigm. This paper aims to give a state-of-the-art literature review of ANN models in the nonlinear constitutive modeling, multiscale surrogate modeling, and design optimization of composite materials and structures. This review has been designed to focus on the discussion of the general frameworks and benefits of ANN models to the above problems. Moreover, challenges and opportunities in each key problem are identified and discussed. This paper is expected to open the discussion of future research scope and new directions to enable efficient, robust, and accurate data-driven design and analysis of composite materials and structures.

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce a novel suspect-and-investigate framework, which can be easily embedded in a drone for automated parking violation detection (PVD). Our proposed framework consists of: 1) SwiftFlow, an efficient and accurate convolutional neural network (CNN) for unsupervised optical flow estimation; 2) Flow-RCNN, a flow-guided CNN for car detection and classification; and 3) an illegally parked car (IPC) candidate investigation module developed based on visual SLAM. The proposed framework was successfully embedded in a drone from ATG Robotics. The experimental results demonstrate that, firstly, our proposed SwiftFlow outperforms all other state-of-the-art unsupervised optical flow estimation approaches in terms of both speed and accuracy; secondly, IPC candidates can be effectively and efficiently detected by our proposed Flow-RCNN, with a better performance than our baseline network, Faster-RCNN; finally, the actual IPCs can be successfully verified by our investigation module after drone re-localization., Comment: 17 pages, 11 figures and 3 tables.
