Abstract

In the past decade, triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have attracted significant attention across various fields due to their compact size, light weight, high output voltage, versatile shapes, and strong compatibility. However, substantial wear at solid–solid contact interfaces presents a major obstacle to the electrical output stability of TENGs. The objective of this study is to investigate the output performances of TENGs lubricated with TiO2-doped oleic acid. The results suggest that the triboelectrical performances of the polyimide (PI) film sliding against a steel ball under 0.1 wt% TiO2-doped oleic acid are significantly improved compared to those under dry conditions; the growth rates are 35.2%, 103.6, and 85.6%, respectively. Moreover, the coefficient of friction dropped from 0.31 to 0.066. The wear and performance enhancement mechanism are also analyzed. Abstract

Polymeric matrix composites have been widely used in the marine field. In this study, the tribological behavior under seawater-lubricated conditions of pure Polyamide 12 (PA12), micron-SiC and nanometer SiC and SiO2 particle-reinforced PA12 composites, which are prepared by selective laser sintering (SLS), were studied. The seawater absorption, hardness, contact angle and tribology performance were investigated. The results show that the addition of micron- and nano-SiC particles and nano-SiO2 particles could decrease the seawater adsorption and contact angle, and increase the hardness. Under seawater conditions, the addition of micro SiC particles can reduce the friction coefficient and wear loss, whereas the addition of nano-SiC and -SiO2 particles increases the corresponding values. The specimen printed with recycled powder has a higher friction coefficient, while having a better wear resistance. However, it increases the width and depth of the wear track in some locations. The wear mechanisms of the composite specimens are also analyzed. This was the result of the combined effects of fatigue wear and abrasive wear under seawater conditions. The latter plays a dominant role under seawater conditions. 24. A-pruning: a lightweight pineapple flower counting network based on filter pruning

Abstract

During pineapple cultivation, detecting and counting the number of pineapple flowers in real time and estimating the yield are essential. Deep learning methods are more efficient in real-time performance than traditional manual detection. However, existing deep learning models are characterized by low detection speeds and cannot be applied in real time on mobile devices. This paper presents a lightweight model in which filter pruning compresses the YOLOv5 network. An adaptive batch normalization layer evaluation mechanism is introduced to the pruning process to evaluate the performance of the subnetwork. With this approach, the network with the best performance can be found quickly after pruning. Then, an efficient channel attention mechanism is added for the pruned network to constitute a new YOLOv5_E network. Our findings demonstrate that the proposed YOLOv5_E network attains an accuracy of 71.7% with a mere 1.7 M parameters, a model size of 3.8 MB, and an impressive running speed of 178 frames per second. Compared to the original YOLOv5, YOLOv5_E shows a 0.9% marginal decrease in accuracy; while, the number of parameters and the model size are reduced by 75.8% and 73.8%, respectively. Moreover, the running speed of YOLOv5_E is nearly twice that of the original. Among the ten networks evaluated, YOLOv5_E boasts the fastest detection speed and ranks second in detection accuracy. Furthermore, YOLOv5_E can be integrated with StrongSORT for real-time detection and counting on mobile devices. We validated this on the NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX development board, where it achieved an average detection speed of 24 frames per second. The proposed YOLOv5_E network can be effectively used on agricultural equipment such as unmanned aerial vehicles, providing technical support for the detection and counting of crops on mobile devices.

Abstract

Empirical evidence has shown that many companies keep lower leverage than traditional capital structure theories predict. Recent studies have suggested that the purpose of conservative financial policy is to remain financial flexibility so as to get financing capability for future need. To analyze the value of financial flexibility, we examine the impact of financial flexibility on corporate investment and performance by studying sample firms of China's listed companies. Our GMM estimation results for dynamic panel data models reveal that companies get financial flexibility through keeping low leverage or high cash holdings, and financial flexible firms significantly invest more two or three years after financial flexibility status achieved, and perform better than financial inflexible firms. Our analysis explains why many Chinese companies adopt conservative leverage policy and proves that financial flexibility is very important in the process of corporate management.

Abstract

At conceptual design stage, designers often tend to be restricted by general stereotypes and by their previous design experiences. Consequently, this paper proposes a constraint-based cooperative interactive design method, in order to combine human intelligence and computer intelligence for product design. The model of constraint based human machine cooperative interactive design system is described, how to realize the human machine cooperative interactive optimal search by genetic algorithm (GA) is discussed in detail. In design process, GA is employed to search for a near-optimal design, and a trained neural network is used as a fitness function. Finally, A mould injection structure design is chosen as the subject of the current investigation.
