This study investigates how the prime minster of the United Kingdom employs language to express indirect warning in his speeches in order to warn his citizens to avoid corona virus infections , It aims to detect the act of warning embedded in his rhetoric through linguistic manipulation, and its impact on the audience so, the study aims the following Therefore, it hypothesizes the following: 1-The speech act of warning is constructed by the declarative sentences more than the other forms in Johnson's speeches. 2- Felicity Conditions are perfectly applied on the selected speeches. 3-Indirect warning is more currently occurred than direct one. 4-The hint strategy is more frequently occurred in the selected data than the conditional one as an indirect warning strategy. Speech Act Theory deals with the meaning of language use which is stated in terms of how the speaker manipulates the utterance to make the hearers infer the intended meaning. So, the data analysis will be dealt pragmatically. Therefore ,the study will try to answer the following questions: 1-Indirect warning has certain basic strategies to deal with. So, the study will concentrate on these strategies. 2-Does indirect Speech Act be more frequently used than direct one? 3-which strategy is more frequently used in expressing the indirect warning? The study arrives at these conclusions: (1) All the hypotheses have been approved, (2) He never uses the questioning strategy as indirect one in the whole speeches, (3) He employs the indirect speech act of warning more than the direct one in order to force the audience to infer his intended meanings when he delivers his speeches, and (4) The speech act of warning in Johnson's speeches is used to direct people either to do beneficial action or avoid doing bad actions.

The review discusses different methods for preparation of 2,6-diphenyl-piperidin-4-one derivatives. 2,6-Diphenyl-piperidin-4-one is prepared from aromatic aldehyde and acetone in ammonium acetate. Reaction of 1-phenylsulfinylpropan-2-one or 1-(4-chlorophenylsulfinyl)propan-2-one, aromatic aldehyde and ammonium acetate gives a series of 2,6-diaryl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyridin-4-one 6a,b. 4-Phenyl-2-amino-1,3-butadienes reacts with N-allyl benzaldimine through Diels-Alder reaction to afford 2,6-diphenyl-4-piperidinone derivative 7. Also, reactions of 2,6-diphenyl-piperdin-4-one are discussed. The reactions of latter compounds can be on nitrogen atom or carbonyl function group or methylene group adjacent to carbonyl group. In addition, different applications of 2,6-diphenyl-piperidin-4-one are summarized.

Background: It is well known that most of the healthcare centers have redistributed their material and human resources to face the health issues associated with COVID-19 pandemic. Aims: In the current study, we aimed to investigate the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on gall stone patients. Methods: Comparison was conducted in our own center regarding gallstones related activities before, during and after the pandemic. We reviewed also the number of elective laparoscopic cholecystectomies during these periods. Data were obtained from the hospital recording system. Results: We found a significant increase in the number of gall stones related complications during the COVID-19 pandemic when compared with non-pandemic periods. Conclusion: It is recommended that laparoscopic cholecystectomies should be considered whenever possible, taking all relevant measures to avoid contagion of patients and the health team.

There are four types of pyridopyrimidines namely pyrido[2,3-d], pyrido[3,4-d], pyrido[ 4,3-d]pyrimidines, and pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidines. Different methods of preparation of pyrido[2,3- d]pyrimidines are summarized. Synthesis of pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines can be from pyrimidines derivatives or pyridine derivatives. We can start from pyrimidine derivatives and build a pyridine ring. 5,7-Diphenylpyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines 3 and 4 were obtained by the reaction of 6-aminouracil (1) with α,β-unsaturated ketone. 6-Amino-1,3-dimethyluracil 10 was reacted with an equimolar amount of Mannich bases 11a-c under an atmosphere of nitrogen to give pyridopyrimidines 14a-c via the formation of the intermediates 12a-c & 13a-c. 4-Benzylamino derivative 19 could be converted to pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivative 20 by the reaction with dimethylformamide/ dimethylacetal. In the same way, we can start from pyridine derivatives and build a pyrimidine ring. Different reported biological activities of pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines are discussed e.g. selective adenosine kinase inhibitors, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and herbicides, selective inhibitor of the tyrosine kinase activities of the Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) receptors.

The purpose of this study was to determine the Bachelor Science of Nursing (BSN), student’s perceptions of the quality of nursing courses taught at Palestine College of Nursing (PCN), which were fundamentals of nursing course, adult nursing course, pediatric nursing course, maternity nursing course, community nursing course, mental health and psychiatric nursing course and nursing management and leadership course, and its relationship with their academic achievement. The Palestine College of Nursing is governmental and Ministry of Health (MOH) affiliated. The sample included 467 nursing students registered in the college who studied the previously mentioned nursing courses. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire developed by the researcher, and guided by literature. That was to assess the included nine quality dimensions of the nursing courses as perceived by the students. Content validity and reliability tests were done for the tool. The study revealed that the total students’ perceptions of the quality of all nurses courses were within average quality level (80.42%). The nursing management course and community health nursing course were of the first two ranks of high quality level (84.54%, and 84.48%, respectively), where mental health and psychiatric nursing course, fundamentals of nursing course, adult health nursing course, pediatric nursing course and maternity health nursing course were the next ranks of average quality level. The study revealed that students’ perceptions of seven dimensions from nine were with average quality level (80.50%). The first rank was the “teacher/instructor characteristics and attributes”, dimension of high quality level (84.44%), while the last rank was “teaching methodology” dimension of average quality level (77.54%). There was a positive relationship between students’ achievement and the courses’ quality dimensions, pertaining objectives of the course, contents of the course, teacher/instructor competencies, teacher characteristics, teaching methodology, students/teacher interaction and course evaluation. The study recommended improving the quality of nursing courses for better level and to improve the quality of some dimensions like using different teaching strategies, the quality of clinical settings, and improve the quality of nursing instructors in some clinical areas. Finally the researcher recommend for further studies about concerning quality in nursing education.
