창원, 마산, 진해의 3개 도시가 합쳐진 통합 창원시는 메가시티로, 행정구역과 보건의료의 변화를 가져오는 계기가 되었다. 보건진료소가 설치되었던 지역의 개발은 역할이 축소되었고, 도시화로 인한 사용자들의 구성이 급변함으로 인해 보건지소와 보건진료소 통·폐합 운영의 필요성이 절실히 요구되 고 있다. 본 연구는 기존 보건진료소 자료 검토, 성공적 보건지소·보건진료소의 통합 벤치마킹, 행정 책임자들의 의견 검토 등을 통해 구조적이고 업무내용 구성에도 시대적 변화에 발맞출 수 있는 최적 모형개발을 개발하고자 실시되었다. 연구결과 대상 보건진료소는 4년간의 3회차 계획에 의해, 부분적 통합과 폐쇄를 제안한다. 또한, 보건진료전담공무원 모두가 보건진료소의 폐쇄를 원치 않고 있으므로 주민의 새로운 건강요구충족을 위한 노력, 건강한 지역 구축을 위한 주민의 참여유도를 위한 노력, 건강에 대한 주민의 관심 유도 노력 등이 필요하며, 업무의 효율화를 위한 정보시스템을 따라가기 위 한 노력이 필요하다고 본다. 지역사회통합건강증진사업의 추진으로 업무내용의 혁신도 추천하는 바이 다.

This study was done to construct and test a structural model to explain health risk behavior of adolescents. Data for this study were secondary data from the 2010 Korea Adolescent Health Survey based and 7,187 middle and high school students who participated. Data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 19.0 programs. The result showed that Risk behavior of physical activity & sleep is directly affected by 2 variables (27.6%), Risk behavior of smoking & drinking is directly affected by 1 variable (0.9%). The results of this study, indicate that adolescents’ health risk behavior is affected by many factors with complicate correlations suggesting further study compare youth health risk behaviors in a variety of environments.

Objective: The present study was to investigate the discrimination capacity of the Performance Oriented Mobility Assessment-Gait Scale (POMA-GS), for predicting falls in stroke survivors. Design: Retrospective cohort study. Methods: Data including the characteristics and number of falls of 52 chronic stroke patients from a rehabilitation center were collected. The number of falls each subject had experienced in the previous year were investigated through interviews. The subjects were divided into two groups depending on the number of falls: if falls occurred twice or more on the basis of the time of study after stroke, they were defined as the falls group and if there was no fall experience or one fall, they were defined as the non-falls group. The subjects were examined with the POMA-GS, and physical functions were examined using by the One Leg Stand Test (OLST), Sit to Stand Test (SST), 10-m Walk Test, Lower Extremity in Fugl-Meyer assessment (FM-LE), and Trunk Impairment Scale (TIS). The validity of POMA-GS for falls prediction was analyzed. Results: In the POMA-GS, which predicts falls in stroke survivors, the cut-off value was 8.5 (sensitivity 72%; specificity 65%) and the area under the curve was 0.75 (95% confidence interval: 0.60-0.90, p8.5 and the subjects with POMA-GS . Conclusions: The POMA-GS could be a useful tool in predicting falls in stroke survivors, as its discrimination capacity and predictive validity is proven satisfactory.

High school students are experiencing excessive competitive entrance examination. High school students have been receiving physical and mental health is threatened. People with suicidal ideation, The people tried to commit suicide. This study was was to investigate the condition surrounding suicidal ideation and related factors among high school students in Korea. This study used a cross-section design with secondary analysis of National Youth Policy Institure. Data from 2,234 participants of 2013 Youth and Children Data Archive were analyzed. Statistical analyses were conducted on weighted data using SPSS 20.0 to account for the complex sampling designs. Complex samples logistic regression analysis, gender, academic achievement, economy status, the overall mental health status, depression, anxiety, delinquent were associated with an increased proportion of suicidal ideation for high school students. Boys had 2.52 times higher possibility of suicidal ideation than girls, The overall mental health status 1.34 times, delinquent 0.94 times and depression 0.89 times had higher possibility of suicidal ideation. The reserch was aimed to investigate the effects of a self-learning method using video recording education on fundamental practicums. The subjects included 85 Nursing students. For 4 months, one group pretest-posttest design. The data were analyzed using SPSS WIN (17.0). Paired t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficients were used. Analysis of training after self-directed learning skills, showed significant differences in academic self-efficacy, problem solving skills, all three variables were static correlation. Therefore, I recommend that take advantage of the self-evaluation method using video recording on Fundamental practicums.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of sexual experience among adolescents in South Korea and predictors of sexual experience tendency. A self-report survey was conducted upon 7th-12th grade middle and high school students in South Korea. 717 students included in the study. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS / Win 21.0 program. Significant influencing factors of sexual experience were ‘smoking’ and ‘drug use’. schools primarily must recognize the importance of health as much as their entrance examination-oriented curriculums, and need to continue to edu-cate adolescents about harmful effects of the drinking, smoking, and drug use that they may be easily exposed to due to their psychological wandering and curiosity. In addition to that, it should be recommended to allow adolescents to reproduce their sound energy through their use of impulse energy by developing and taking advantage of healthy hob-bies.

본 연구는 한국 청소년 비만에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사 연구로 2013년 국민건강영양조사 자료의 일부분을 2차 분석한 것으로 572명의 자료가 분석에 이용되었다. SPSS/Win 21.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, 상관분석, 회귀분석을 하였다. 분석 결과 참가자의 20.01%가 비만으로 나타났으며 청소년의 비만은 성별, 나이, 주관적 체형인지, 1년간 체중조절여부, 평생음주경 험, 하루평균수면시간, 담배 한 두 모금 피운 경험과 일주일 운동이 상관관계가 있었다. 이들 변수를 회귀분석한 결과 성별, 나이, 주관적 체형인지와 1년간 체중조절여부가 예측요인으로 밝혀졌으며, 형 성된 회귀모형의 종속변수에 대한 설명력은 66.9%이였다. 따라서 청소년을 대상으로 비만 교육 시에 1년간 체중조절여부, 성별과 연령에 따른 비만교육이 필요할 것이며 비만에 있어서 주관적 체형인지 와 같은 정신건강의 중요성에 대한 교육내용이 꼭 포함되어야 한다고 본다.

This study was conducted to identify factors that influence health-related quality of life in Korean elderly. This study used a cross-section design with secondary analysis of Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2013. A total 777 participants aged 65 years and eldery were selected. Health-related quality of life using EQ-5D, smoking, alcohol use, physical activity, food security index, body mass index, mental health(perceived stress, depression, suicidal thoughts), health care(health screening, cancer screening) were measured. [Purpose] This study investigated the status of women's sexual function and relevant factors given the fact that women's health is crucial to the national health, and in particular that women's sexual health has a significant impact on their overall health. [Subjects and Methods] This study surveyed 353 women living in South Korea's P and K metropolitan regions from July 2012 to August 10, 2013. The Female Sexual Functional Index (FSFI), the Sexual Attitude Scale (SAS), sexual knowledge and questionnaires were used. [Results] Two groups based on FSFI scores above and below a cutoff value of 25 were compared with each other, and significant differences were found in age, male friends, menstrual status, sex status, and frequency of sex, experience of forced sex, personal health, husband's health and sexual knowledge. Male friends, sex status, experience of forced sex, husband's healths and sexual knowledge explained women's sexual function. [Conclusion] The finding that women's sexual function is associated with multiple factors suggests an intervention program for improving women's sexual function should be developed to reflect the factors influencing the target groups' sexual function.

We describe the antimicrobial function of peptides derived from the C-terminus of the olive flounder LBP BPI precursor protein. The investigated peptides, namely, ofLBP1N, ofLBP2A, ofLBP4N, ofLBP5A, and ofLBP6A, formed α-helical structures, showing significant antimicrobial activity against several Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria, and the yeast Candida albicans, but very limited hemolytic activities. The biological activities of these five analogs were evaluated against biomembranes or artificial membranes for the development of candidate therapeutic agents. Gel retardation studies revealed that peptides bound to DNA and inhibited migration on an agarose gel. In addition, we demonstrated that ofLBP6A inhibited polymerase chain reaction. These results suggested that the ofLBP-derived peptide bactericidal mechanism may be related to the interaction with intracellular components such as DNA or polymerase.

Screening of a gene library from Paenibacillus sp. PBS-2 generated in Escherichia coli led to the identification of a clone with lipolytic activity. Sequence analysis showed an open reading frame encoding a polypeptide of 378 amino acid residues with a predicted molecular mass of 42 kDa. The esterase displayed 69% and 42% identity with the putative β-lactamases from Paenibacillus sp. JDR-2 and Clostridium sp. BNL1100, respectively. The esterase contained a Serx- x-Lys motif that is conserved among all β-lactamases found to date. The protein PBS-2 was produced in both soluble and insoluble forms when E. coli cells harboring the gene were cultured at 18°C. The enzyme is a serine protein and was active against p-nitrophenyl esters of C2, C4, C8, and C10. The optimum pH and temperature for enzyme activity were pH 9.0 and 30°C, respectively. Relative activity of 55% remained at up to 5°C with an activation energy of 5.84 kcal/mol, which indicates that the enzyme is cold-adapted. Enzyme activity was inhibited by Cd(2+), Cu(2+), and Hg(2+) ions. As expected for a serine esterase, activity was inhibited by phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride. The enzyme was remarkably active and stable in the presence of commercial detergents and organic solvents. This cold-adapted esterase has potential as a biocatalyst and detergent additive for use at low temperatures.

The selected isolate, Bacillus sp. SW1-1 showed antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria involved in fish diseases, including Edwardsiella tarda, Streptococcus iniae, S. parauberis, Vibrio anguillarum, and V. harveyi. The Maximum bacteriocin production was observed at 30°C after 24 h with brain heart infusion medium (pH 7.0). The bacteriocin SW1-1 was purified by 50% ammonium sulfate precipitation, followed by HiPrep diethylaminoethyl 16/10 FF and Sephacryl S-100 High resolution column chromatography. The substance was characterized as a bacteriocin-like inhibitory substance with a molecular mass of 38 kDa. Bacteriocin SW1-1 was sensitive to the proteolytic action of pepsin, trypsin, chymotrypsin, and protease types I and XIV, and relatively heat labile, despite the fact that bacteriocin activity was still detected after heating at 100°C for 30 min. The activity of bacteriocin SW1-1 was stable in the pH range of 2.0–11.0, and relatively unaffected by organic chemicals. The bacteriocin SW1-1 had a bacteriolytic mechanism, resulting in cell wall degradation of E. tarda. These characteristics indicate that this bacteriocin may be a potential candidate for alternative agent to control important pathogens of fish diseases in aquaculture.
