Abstract Background In China, the world’s largest developing country, low back pain (LBP) is a common public health issue affecting workability. This meta-analysis aimed to systematically assess the risk factors of LBP in the Chinese population. Methods Four English language and four Chinese databases were searched, and cross-sectional studies on the risk factors for LBP in Chinese populations were identified and collected. The search timeframe covered the period from the establishment of the database to November 2023. Two researchers independently reviewed the literature, extracted the data, and evaluated the risk of bias. Begg’s and Egger’s tests were used to evaluate publication bias. Results Fifteen cross-sectional studies involving 86,575 people were included. Seven risk factors for LBP were identified. Abstract Children are generally susceptible to COVID-19, and infection with COVID-19 may cause serious harm to children. COVID-19 vaccination is an effective way to prevent infection at present, and many factors affect children's COVID-19 vaccination. This study aimed to explore the effects of perceived social support and health literacy on hesitancy towards first and second vaccine dose. This cross-sectional study was conducted in the Minhang District of Shanghai, China, in October 2022. A total of 1150 parents of preschool children from 10 kindergartens participated. The survey encompassed four sections, capturing data on sociodemographic attributes, health literacy, perceived social support, and parental COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy. Health literacy was measured using a self-designed questionnaire consisting of four dimensions. Perceived social support was assessed using the MSPSS questionnaire. Hierarchical multiple logistic regression was used to examine the relationship between the independent variables and parental hesitancy towards the first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Parental hesitancy rate for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine was 69.6%, and for the second dose, it was 33.1%. The final integrated model showed that parental hesitancy towards the first and the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine was associated with parental educational level, allergy in children, information decision-making and information comprehension ability, perceived social support from family and friends. Health literacy and perceived social support are influence factors for parental hesitancy towards COVID-19 vaccine for preschool children. The findings will provide insights for future intervention studies on COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and inform the development of vaccination policies.

Abstract Flocking cohesion is critical for maintaining a group’s aggregation and integrity. Designing a potential function to maintain flocking cohesion unaffected by social distance is challenging due to the uncertainty of real-world conditions and environments that cause changes in agents’ social distance. Previous flocking research based on potential functions has primarily focused on agents’ same social distance and the attraction–repulsion of the potential function, ignoring another property affecting flocking cohesion: well depth, as well as the effect of changes in agents’ social distance on well depth. This paper investigates the effect of potential function well depths and agent’s social distances on the multi-agent flocking cohesion. Through the analysis, proofs, and classification of these potential functions, we have found that the potential function well depth is proportional to the flocking cohesion. Moreover, we observe that the potential function well depth varies with the agents’ social distance changes. Therefore, we design a segmentation potential function and combine it with the flocking control algorithm in this paper. It enhances flocking cohesion significantly and has good robustness to ensure the flocking cohesion is unaffected by variations in the agents’ social distance. Meanwhile, it reduces the time required for flocking formation. Subsequently, the Lyapunov theorem and the LaSalle invariance principle prove the stability and convergence of the proposed control algorithm. Finally, this paper adopts two subgroups with different potential function well depths and social distances to encounter for simulation verification. The corresponding simulation results demonstrate and verify the effectiveness of the flocking control algorithm.

Abstract Introduction Understanding the etiology and risk factors of lung cancer (LC) is the key to developing scientific and effective prevention and control strategies for LC. CYP4B1 genetic polymorphism has been reported to be associated with susceptibility to various diseases. We aimed to explore the association between CYP4B1 genetic variants and LC susceptibility. Methods One thousand three hundred thirty-nine participants were recruited to perform an association analysis through SNPStats online software. Statistical analysis of this study was mainly completed by SPSS 22.0 software. False-positive report probability analysis (FPRP) to detect whether the positive findings were noteworthy. Finally, the interaction of SNP-SNP in LC risk was evaluated by multi-factor dimensionality reduction. Results We found evidence that missense variants in CYP4B1 (rs2297810, rs4646491, and rs2297809) are associated with LC susceptibility. In particular, genotype GA of CYP4B1-rs2297810 was significantly associated with an increased risk of LC in both overall and stratified analyses (genotype GA: OR (95% CI) = 1.35 (1.08-1.69), p = 0.010). CYP4B1-rs4646491 (overdominant: OR (95% CI) = 1.30 (1.04-1.62), p = 0.023) and CYP4B1-rs2297809 (genotype CT: OR (95% CI) = 1.26 (1.01-1.59), p = 0.046) are also associated with an increased risk of LC. FPRP analysis showed that all positive results in this study are noteworthy findings Conclusion Three missense variants in CYP4B1 (rs2297810, rs4646491, and rs2297809) are associated with increasing risk of LC.

A land fallow system (LFS) designed to adjust the winter-wheat  summer-maize cropping system to fallow  summer-maize was introduced in Hebei Province to alleviate groundwater depletion in the region. However, some of the water saved was lost through evaporation from bare soil and transpiration by weeds. So far, no measurement has been done in the region to address this non-productive water loss, thereby limiting the water-saving potential of the introduced LFS. Furthermore, the reduction in crop production under the summer-maize – fallow system threatens food security. The objective of this study was to determine which practice is effective to keep soil water during fallow and the exact water-saving potential of different cropping system in the region. Firstly, field experiments were conducted under various soil surface management systems — including plastic mulching (PM), straw mulching (SM), shallow tillage (ST) and weed control (WC). The effects of saving water, controlling weeds and managing nutrients were analyzed under the various surface soil management methods. The results showed that compared with the control (no soil surface management, CK), 177, 64.7, 71.0 and 25.0 mm of water was saved respectively under PM, SM, WC and ST surface soil management methods in 2019–2020. The effect of weed control decreased in the order of PM > WC > SM > ST. While PM significantly increased soil nutrient in all the treatments, the others showed slight but insignificant increases. Secondly, the precise water-use of each of the cropping systems was determined using large lysimeters. The analysis showed that compared with the wheat-maize system, 60–100 mm of water was saved under alternating wheat-soybean, wheat-millet, mung bean – fresh edible maize, spring sweet potato cropping systems. The results were key for technical guide in developing future cultivation adjustment policies.

Low frequency (LF) noise is a powerful and non-destructive technique for evaluating the oxide-semiconductor interface and an effective evaluating tool in characterizing electronic device’s structure and reliability. In this study, we present a systematic analysis of the striking abnormal 1/f noise behavior of the hot carrier induced defects in highspeed polysilicon emitter bipolar transistors (PE-BJTs) and SiGe HBTs. Here, the comparative results before and after hot carrier degradation reveal that low frequency noise spectra are not correlated with the density and distribution of the interfacial defects, which related to Si dangling bonds reside at the SiO2/Si interface in PE-BJTs and SiGe HBTs.

The remaining useful life (RUL) is the key element of fault diagnosis, prediction and health management (PHM) during the equipment operation service period. The prediction result of RUL is the premise for equipment to adopt preventive maintenance, condition-based maintenance, fault maintenance and other maintenance strategies. Lithium battery is an important energy component of new energy vehicles, mobile phones, etc. Its RUL is related to the state of its equipment system. Many model-based methods have been used to predict the lithium batteries’ RUL, and some studies have begun to use lithium battery monitoring data to predict its remaining service life. With the continuous detection and monitoring capability of equipment throughout its life cycle gradually improved, a large number of monitoring and detection data promote the wide application of data-driven residual life prediction in the field of equipment. At present, the data-driven prediction method of the lithium batteries’ RUL mostly adopts a single time-series forecasting model. The robustness and generalization of the prediction method are insufficient. It needs to be further improved to improve the prediction accuracy and robustness. Preventive maintenance measures shall be taken immediately according to the prediction results to ensure the effective supply of energy at any time. In this paper, an integrated learning algorithm based on monitoring data is proposed to fit the degradation model of lithium batteries and predict their RUL. The ensemble learning method consists of 5 basic learners to achieve better prediction performance, including relevance vector machine (RVM), random forest (RF), elastic net (EN), autoregressive model (AR), and long short-term memory (LSTM) Network. The genetic algorithm (GA) is used in the ensemble learning method to find and determine the optimal weights of the basic learners, and obtain the final prediction result of lithium batteries. Then, the simulation is carried out on the CS2_35 lithium battery data set. The simulation results show that the method proposed in this paper has a smaller Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) than another 5 single methods. The RMSE is respectively 0.00744 for RVM, 0.01097 for RF, 0.01507 for EN, 0.03223 for AR, 0.01541 for LSTM, and 0.00483 for ensemble learning, and the RMSE of ensemble learning is reduced by 0.0274 at the highest and 0.00261 at the lowest, so the ensemble learning algorithm has better robustness and generalization effect.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive neuromodulation technique for treating various neurological disorders. The geometry of the TMS coil determines the focality, stimulation field strength, and stimulation depth of the induced electric field. In this paper, we introduce a novel coil, named the eccentric folding coil (EFC). We used Sim4Life, a three-dimensional human tissue medical electromagnetic simulation software, and the brain models of the subjects from the population head model repository to conduct finite element simulations of the eccentric folding coil, circular coil, and figure-eight coil, implying that the largest EFC has a focal area of 19.5 cm2 less than the smallest circular coil, and the EFC of any size has a smaller focal area than the figure-8 coil of the same size. Furthermore, we stimulated the model from three directions with the coil and measured the electric field responses of the model, confirming that stimulation varied in different directions. Additionally, we applied EFC to four representative human models and found that the electric field in different subjects’ brains differed by 3.03 mm in stimulation depth and 12.9 cm2 in focal area, suggesting that personalized human head modeling and electromagnetic analysis are essential for TMS treatment. In the future, we will explore using different types of TMS devices for patients with different conditions to achieve more precise and customized treatment.

The vaccination rate of COVID-19 in preschool children is low, and parents’ intention to vaccinate their children is also low due to multiple factors. This study aimed to establish an integrated model based on the Health Belief Model (HBM)and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), to explore the factors influencing parents’ intention to vaccinate their preschool children with the first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. IntroductionInappropriate residue and nutrient management leads to soil degradation and the decline of soil quality and water storage capacity.MethodsAn ongoing field experiment has been conducted since 2011 to investigate the effects of straw mulching (SM), and straw mulching combined with organic fertilizer (SM+O), on winter wheat yield, including a control treatment (CK, no straw). We studied the effects of these treatments on soil microbial biomass nitrogen and carbon, soil enzyme activity in 2019, photosynthetic parameters, evapotranspiration (ET), water use efficiency (WUE), and yields over five consecutive years (2015-2019). We also analyzed the soil organic carbon, soil structure, field capacity, and saturated hydraulic conductivity in 2015 and 2019. ResultsResults indicate that compared with CK, SM and SM+O treatments increased the proportion of >0.25mm aggregates, soil organic carbon, field capacity, and saturated hydraulic conductivity, but decreased the soil bulk density. In addition, the SM and SM+O treatments also increased soil microbial biomass nitrogen and carbon, the activity of soil enzymes, and decreased the carbon-nitrogen ratio of microbial biomass. Therefore, SM and SM+O treatments both increased the leaf water use efficiency (LWUE) and photosynthetic rate (Pn), and improved the yields and water use efficiency (WUE) of winter wheat. The combination SM (4.5 t/ha)+O (0.75 t/ha) was more effective than SM alone, and both treatments were superior to the control.ConclusionBased on the results of this study, SM+O is recommended as the most effective cultivation practice.

Background: The multidose Sabin-strain inactivated poliovirus vaccine (sIPV) has the potential to significantly aid in the eradication of poliomyelitis, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. As part of a phase III clinical trial in which infants were given three doses of primary immunization at 2, 3, and 4 months of age, this study aimed to evaluate immune persistence following primary immunization, as well as the safety and immunogenicity of a booster of the 5-dose sIPV in infants aged 18 months. Methods: Infants aged 18 months were given one booster dose of 5-dose sIPV in stage one, which was open-label. Unblinding was performed for stage two after completing primary immunization, which was randomized, blinded, and controlled; infants aged 18 months in the test group I–III, IPV group, and single-dose sIPV group were given one booster dose of 5-dose sIPV, conventional IPV, and single-dose sIPV, respectively, in stage two. Results: This study included 1438 infants in the immune persistence and safety set and 1387 infants in the booster per-protocol set. Fourteen months after primary immunization, the seropositivity rates (≥1:8) for types 1–3 were 100%, 99.88%, and 99.53% in the 5-dose sIPV groups; 100%, 98.97%, and 97.23% in the IPV group; and 99.66%, 100%, and 99.66% in the single-dose sIPV group. A total of 30 days after booster immunization, the seropositivity rates (≥1:8) of 3 serotypes in all the groups reached 100%. The geometric mean titers of neutralizing antibodies for types 1–3 in the 5-dose sIPV group were 9962.89, 10273, and 7870.21, with geometric mean increases of 15.76, 33.15, and 24.5, compared to the pre-booster level. The overall incidence of adverse reactions was 8.97%, with fever being the most common, observed at rates of 7.1%, 5.52%, and 7.96% in the 5-dose sIPV, IPV, and single-dose groups, respectively (p = 0.4845). Conclusions: The 5-dose sIPV has shown promising immune persistence and robust immune response following a booster immunization, coupled with an acceptable safety profile.

Micro- and nanorobots are highly intelligent and efficient. They can perform various complex tasks as per the external stimuli. These robots can adapt to the required functional form, depending on the different stimuli, thus being able to meet the requirements of various application scenarios. So far, microrobots have been widely used in the fields of targeted therapy, drug delivery, tissue engineering, environmental remediation and so on. Although microbots are promising in some fields, few reviews have yet focused on them. It is therefore necessary to outline the current status of these microbots’ development to provide some new insights into the further evolution of this field. This paper critically assesses the research progress of microbots with respect to their preparation methods, stimulus–response mechanisms and applications. It highlights the suitability of different preparation methods and stimulus types, while outlining the challenges experienced by microbots. Viable solutions are also proposed for the promotion of their practical use.

Background and Objective: Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) is defined as the failure of a fetus to reach its genetic growth potential in utero resulted by maternal, placental, fetal, and genetic factors. Previous studies have reported that IUGR is associated with a high incidence of neurological damage, although the precise causes of such damage remain unclear. We aimed to investigate whether cognitive impairment in rats with IUGR is related to pyroptosis of hippocampal neurons and determine the effect of early intervention with docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Methods: Learning and memory function was assessed using the Morris water maze test. The morphological structure and ultrastructure of the hippocampus was examined via hematoxylin and eosin staining and electron microscopy respectively. The pyroptosis of hippocampal neuron was detected by gasdermin-D (GSDMD) immunofluorescence staining, mRNA and protein expression of nuclear localization leucine-rich-repeat protein 1 (NLRP1), caspase-1, GSDMD, and quantification of inflammatory cytokines interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18 in the hippocampus. Results: IUGR rats exhibited decreased learning and memory function, morphological structure and ultrastructural changes in hippocampus compared to controls. IUGR rats also exhibited increased hippocampal quantification of GSDMD immunofluorescence staining, increased mRNA and protein expression of NLRP1, caspase-1, and GSDMD, and increased quantification of IL-1β and IL-18 in the hippocampus. Intervention with DHA attenuated these effects. Conclusion: Cognitive impairment in rats with IUGR may be related to pyroptosis of hippocampal neurons. Early intervention with DHA may attenuate cognitive impairment and reduce hippocampal pyroptosis in rats with IUGR.

Because direct roasting of aluminum fluoride hydrate will hydrolysis, resulting in higher alumina content in aluminum fluoride products. To solve this problem, a two-step process for the preparation of anhydrous AlF3 from AlF3·3H2O and NH4HF is described in this paper. First, AlF3·3H2O was dried at 220 ℃ for 9–12 h, and then NH4HF (the mass ratio of AlF3·3H2O to NH4HF was 1:20) was added, and the mixture was roasted from room temperature to 650 ℃. The results showed that the hydrolysis of aluminum fluoride can be avoided effectively by the two-step roasting method with NH4HF, the purity of the anhydrous AlF3 was 99.8 wt%, and the concentration of alumina, the main impurity, was less than 0.1 wt%.

Abstract Background Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is the most common autoimmune system diseases in our world. More studies in recent years have shown that FCRL gene polymorphisms is closely related to autoimmune diseases. It is suggested that genetic factors play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of this disease. In this study, we aimed to investigate the relationship between FCRL1 rs2050568, FCRL3 rs2317230 and FCRL6 rs58240276 polymorphisms and RA risk in the Chinese Han population. 506 with RA patients and 509 healthy controls were recruited in this study, and the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) was successfully genotyped using the Agena MassARRAY platform. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) after adjusting for age and gender were conducted to assess these SNPs polymorphisms and RA risk. The multifactor dimensionality reduction (MDR) method was conducted to analyze SNP-SNP interaction. Results Our results revealed that there no significant association was observed between the allele and genotype frequencies among these SNPs and RA risk (all p > 0.05). Straified analysis by age and gender, the results confirmed that FCRL1 rs2050568 T/T genotype enhanced the risk of RA in females (p = 0.014). The G/T - T/T genotype of FCRL3 rs2317230 was correlated with a decreased RA risk in males (p = 0.021). We also observed that the C/T-T/T genotype of FCRL6 rs58240276 was increased the risk of RA in the group at age > 54 years (p = 0.016). ObjectiveGeneral hospitals admit lower gestational age neonates than maternal and child health care centers, therefore associated with a higher morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to assess the etiology and clinical characteristics of neonatal sepsis in different medical setting models.MethodsNeonates admitted to 5 tertiary medical centers, including one national general hospital, two maternal and child health care hospitals and two regional general hospitals, in central-south China with culture-proven sepsis between January 2010 and December 2019 were included in the study. We compared maternal and neonatal characteristics, pathogen distribution, treatment and neonatal outcomes among 3 different medical setting models in this retrospective cohort.ResultsWe identified 757 episodes of culture-proven sepsis in 757 neonates. The predominant pathogens were coagulase-negative staphylococci, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli and Group B streptococci. A total of 683 neonates with detailed information were involved in further comparison; 54.6% were from the national general hospital, 35.9% were from the maternal and child health care hospital, and 9.5% were from the regional general hospital. In this work, a new welding method, AC-DC hybrid TIG welding, is used to weld 304 stainless steel. Research on the formation, microstructure, and properties of 304 stainless-steel welded joints are studied by using optical microscope and microhardness. The results show that the weld with AC/DC hybrid welding is a fish-scale pattern, and the density of the fish-scale pattern increases with the increase of AC proportion. Both the weld penetration and the ratio of weld penetration to weld width are the highest when AC accounts for 30%. At this point, the weld penetration is 0.83 mm larger than DC mode, an increase of 93.26%, and the ratio of weld penetration to weld width is 1.6, which is 76.19% higher than DC mode. When the proportion of AC is increased, the microstructure of the weld is equiaxed or columnar, and the microstructure of the heat-affected zone is ferrite in the form of lath. The hardness of the weld is greater than that of the base metal, and the hardness of the heat-affected zone is the lowest. The microhardness distribution of the weld with AC 50% is the most uniform. When AC accounts for 20% and 30%, the average weld hardness is the highest, which are 196.7 HV and 198.1 HV, respectively.

Intensive farming leads to soil degradation, and poses a serious threat to agricultural yield sustainability and soil ecology. Superabsorbent polymer (SAP) and organic manure (OM) are amendments that can remediate the soil, and improve soil structure and soil pore characteristics, thereby enhancing soil quality and promoting crop growth. These benefits may be enhanced through long-term continuous application of the amendments. X-ray computed tomography (CT) was used to determine the number, connectivity, and locations of pores (160–1,000 μm, >1,000 µm) in the soil at depths of 0–100 cm. Soil organic carbon content, proportion of water-stable macroaggregates (>0.25 mm) (WSM), soil bulk density, field water capacity, available water content, wilting point content, and saturated hydraulic conductivity were also determined. Compared to the control, long-term SAP and OM treatments significantly increased the number of 160–1,000 µm and >1,000 µm soil pores (5–20 cm depths), >1,000 µm and >160 µm soil porosity (at 0–20 cm depths), total organic carbon (10–20 cm and 40–50 cm), field water capacity (0–20 cm), available water content (0–20 cm), wilting point (10–30 cm), saturated water content (10–70 cm), saturated hydraulic conductivity (0–90 cm), and WSM (0–30 cm and 40–50 cm) while decreasing the soil bulk density (0–70 cm). Compared to OM, SAP had greater beneficial effects on the total organic carbon, soil field water capacity, available water content, saturated water content, saturated hydraulic conductivity, and WSM in soil at 0–20 cm depth. The improvements to soil quality resulted in an increase in the yields of wheat and maize. Therefore, although SAP and OM were both effective at improving soil properties and increasing the economic yield of wheat and maize, the effectiveness of SAP was greater than that of OM.

Reductions in soil productivity and soil water retention capacity, and water scarcity during crop growth, may occur due to long-term suboptimal tillage and fertilization practices. Therefore, the application of appropriate tillage (subsoiling) and fertilization (organic fertilizer) practices is important for improving soil structure, water conservation and soil productivity. We hypothesize that subsoiling tillage combined with organic fertilizer has a better effect than subsoiling or organic fertilizer alone. A field experiment in Henan, China, has been conducted since 2011 to explore the effects of subsoiling and organic fertilizer, in combination, on winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) farming. We studied the effects of conventional tillage (CT), subsoiling (S), organic fertilizer (OF), and organic fertilizer combined with subsoiling (S+OF) treatments on dry matter accumulation (DM), water consumption (ET), water use efficiency (WUE) at different growth stages, yield, and water production efficiency (WPE) of winter wheat over 3 years (2016–2017, 2017–2018, 2018–2019). We also analyzed the soil structure, soil organic carbon, soil microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen, and soil enzymes in 2019. The results indicate that compared with CT, the S, OF and S+OF treatments increased the proportion of >0.25 mm aggregates, and S+OF especially led to increased soil organic carbon, soil microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen, soil enzyme activity (sucrase, cellulose, and urease). S+OF treatment was most effective in reducing ET, and increasing DM and WUE during the entire growth period of wheat. S+OF treatment also increased the total dry matter accumulation (Total DM) and total water use efficiency (total WUE) by 18.6–32.0% and 36.6–42.7%, respectively, during these 3 years. Wheat yield and WPE under S+OF treatment increased by 11.6–28.6% and 26.8–43.6%, respectively, in these 3 years. Therefore, S+OF in combination was found to be superior to S or OF alone, which in turn yielded better results than the CT.

4-Hydroxyisoleucine（4-HIL）is a non-protein amino acid that is able to reduce obesity and improve insulin sensitivity in mice, and recently emerged as a drug candidate against hypoglycemia. For the first time, we found that 4-HIL exhibits a potent anti-tumor activity in various cancer cell lines in vitro and in vivo. Most importantly, 4-HIL has no cytotoxic effect on normal or non-malignant cells. Proteomic data analysis revealed changes in endoplasmic reticulum stress（ERS）related protein and autophagy related protein. Western blot revealed that molecular components of the ERS pathway were activated, including phosphorylation of perk and EIF2a increased, while levels of GRP78 reduced, the cellular process of ERS potentially contributed to the activation of autophagy, Transmission electron microscopy revealed the formation of autophagic vesicles under 4-HIL treatment, and LC3B was increased. Meanwhile, activation of ERS inhibits intracellular protein synthesis rate, our results suggest that 4-HIL exhibits anti-tumor activity in various cancer cell lines by increasing ERS and triggering autophagy responses without causing damage to normal cells.

The population genetic structure of domestic animals and the protection of genetic resources are major issues of concern in the field of global biology. In this study, the mtDNA D-loop sequences of 1163 Chinese indigenous cattle (Bos taurus and Bos indicus) were used to analyze their maternal origin and population genetic structure and to prioritize conservation evaluations based on a population genetic evaluation model. The results revealed three maternal origins or domestication events among Chinese indigenous cattle and the occurrence of secondary expansions but also the phenomenon of gene penetration. The population genetic evaluation model results showed that the genetic diversity of Huangpi cattle (HHP), Mountainous cattle (CMO), Bashan cattle (SBS) and Guanling cattle (GGL)populations was highest and that the Zaosheng cattle (GZN), Qinchuan cattle (SQB) and Pingliang cattle (GPL) populations contributed most to the richness of Chinese indigenous cattle genetic resources, indicating that these populations should be protected first. Our research provides a scientific basis and effective evaluation methods for the protection of genetic resources of indigenous livestock varieties.
