This study aims to build a support method for consulting service companies allowing them to respond to client demands regardless of the expertise of the consultants. With an emphasis on the revitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises, the importance of support systems for consulting services for small and medium-sized enterprises, which support solving problems that are difficult to deal with by an enterprise, are increasing. Consulting companies can respond to a wide range of management consultations; however, because the contents of a consultation are widely and highly specialized, a service proposal and the problem detection depend on the experience and intuition of the consultant, and thus a stable service may occasionally not be provided. Therefore, a support system for providing stable services independent of the ability of consultants is desired. In this research, as the first step in constructing a support system, an analysis of customer information describing the content of a consultation with the client companies is conducted to predict the occurrence of future problems. Text data such as the consultant’s visitation history, consultation content by e-mail, and call center content are used in the analysis because the contents explain not only the current problems but also possibly contain future problems. This research proposed method for analyzing the text data by employing text mining. In the proposed method, by combining a correspondence analysis with a DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) discriminant analysis, words that are strongly related to problem detection are extracted from a large number of words obtained from text data, and variables of the DEA discriminant analysis are reduced and analyzed. This paper describes improved method for the application in the real problem. The method is improved to eliminate the following two problems. First, IDF values are used to extract more general phrases. Second, in order to reduce the number of companies that cannot be identified, it is used standardization and data are expanded with synonym dictionaries. In this study, computer experiments were conducted to verify the effectiveness of the improved method through a comparison with an existing method. The results of the verification experiment are as follows. First, there is a possibility of discovering new factors that cannot be determined from the intuition and experience of the consultant regarding the target problem. Second, through a comparison with the existing method, the effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed.

This study was conducted to produce a supporting method for consulting service companies so that the companies can respond to client demands irrespective of the consultant expertise. Occurrence of future problems in client companies is predicted using text mining with data taken from a consulting company. To do so, correspondence analysis and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) discriminant analysis are used. As described herein, the proposed method is improved using Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) values and standardization for the application in a real problem. For computer experiments to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, prediction is made about cancellation problems. The prediction is compared to predictions produced by the consultant.

等級の異なる 10 種のスケトウダラ冷凍すり身に加水して調製した加熱ゲルの破断強度（BS），破断凹み，及びゲル剛性（Gs）とタンパク質（P）濃度の関係を解析した。そして，① BS と Gs は P 濃度に伴って指数関数的に増大，②加水しない加熱ゲルの BS と Gs の最大値はすり身の等級が上位の方が高く，③ BS vs Gs を図示すると，10 種のすり身から得た加熱ゲルの両値の間に強い正の相関があった。これらの結果は，その BS と Gs のレベルと P 濃度依存性から見積る加熱ゲル形成能が，冷凍すり身の品質要因の一として有用であることを示す。

We investigated crack generation and methods for preventing it in glass ceramics when Cu-glass paste and glass ceramics were co-fired. Cu-glass paste was used to fill the through holes of a glass-ceramic green sheet consisting of borosilicate glass/Al2O3/cordierite by screen-printing. Cracks are generated in the glass-ceramic portion that surrounds the through holes parallel to the circumference. These cracks occur when the tensile stress generated at the interface between the conductor in the through hole and the glass ceramic as a result of a mismatch in the coefficients of thermal expansion (CTEs) between Cu and glass ceramic exceeds the mechanical strength of the glass ceramic. The magnitude of the tensile stress was calculated by performing stress analysis using a model based on a thick multilayer cylinder. These cracks can be prevented by either greatly reducing the CTE of Cu conductor by adding a large amount glass or by reducing the Young's modulus of the Cu conductor and without adding additives to the Cu paste for promoting sintering (e.g., glass), which increase the density of the Cu conductor.

Changes in physical properties of two-step heated gels on addition of gluconate were investigated in terms of relationships between breaking strength and gel stiffness. Regression lines between the breaking strength and the gel stiffness were extended to the x-axis (gel stiffness), and the intercept was defined as SBSO. The SBSO of the two-step heated gels increased with gluconate contents in salt-ground surimis, suggesting that the harder but less elastic gels formed on addition of gluconate were dose-dependent. Conversely, the denaturation rate constants of myosin in salt-ground surimis during preheating estimated by means of Ca-ATPase inactivation, loss of salt solubility, and decrease of denaturant solubility were considerably reduced by gluconate. Thus, the progress of myosin denaturation was strongly suppressed. Increments of SBSO (δSBSO) of the two-step heated gels on addition of gluconate were inversely correlated with the denaturation rate constants of myosin in salt-ground surimis for every index. Thus, the changes in physical parameters of two-step heated gel caused by gluconate may be associated with the sluggish progress of myosin denaturation in salt-ground surimi during preheating.

ソルビトール(S)と重合リン酸塩(PP),Sのみ,SとNaClを含む冷凍すり身を終濃度3%NaC1と塩ずりし,K2CO3,を加えpHを6.8～8.7とした。肉糊を25°Cで予備加熱後90°Cで30分加熱した。予備加熱に伴う加熱ゲルの破断強度(BS)と破断凹み(bs)の変化から冷凍すり身のゲル形成能のpH依存性とPPの影響を調べた。そしてPPを含むすり身のゲル化能はpH 7.5～7.8, PPを含まないすり身のそれはpH 7.6～8.5で最高になることを認めた。また加熱に伴うBSに対するbsの増加の割合も同じpH依存性を示した。この結果はPPの存否で加熱によるゲル形成能の至適pHが異なることを示す。

Effect of Na-gluconate on physical properties of preheated and two-step heated gel prepared from walleye pollack surimi was investigated in connection with the progress of the cross-linking reaction of myosin heavy chain (HC). The salt-ground surimi to which either 8% sorbitol or Na-gluconate was added, was preheated at 25°C or 40°C. Increases in the breaking strength and the breaking strain, together with the cross-linking reaction of HC, of the salt-ground surimi with Na-gluconate proceeded more slowly than in that with sorbitol during the preheating period. The subsequent heating at 90°C for 30 min enhanced the breaking strength of the preheated gel but slightly decreased the breaking strain irrespective of the type of additive used. Gel stiffness of the two-step heated gels formed with Na-gluconate was higher than that formed with sorbitol at the same breaking strength, suggesting that the two-step heated gels with Na-gluconate were harder but not elastic. This characteristic of the two-step heated gels formed with Na-gluconate was mainly developed due to the subsequent heating. The cross-linking reaction of HC largely proceeded during the preheating period but hardly took place during the subsequent heating period. These results strongly suggest that Na-gluconate contributed to the production of the two-step heated gel with higher gel stiffness by affecting the formation of non-covalent bonds, such as the hydrophobic interaction between myofibrillar proteins.

Both loss of heterozygosity (LOH) and replication error (RER) are considered to be phenotypes of genomic instability. To unveil the role of the genomic instability in hepatocarcinogenesis, frequencies of LOH and RER were simultaneously determined in 15 hepatocellular carcinomas (HCCs), surrounding nontumorous liver tissues (SL), and 13 liver tissues with chronic viral hepatitis void of cancer (NC) by referencing peripheral blood leukocytes (PBLs) from the corresponding donor using 18 microsatellite markers spread throughout the genome. LOH was significantly frequent in HCC compared with that in SL or NC (P = .005, P = .0003, respectively) and observed preferentially at particular microsatellite loci, D1S204, D2S123, D8S1106, D9S266, D16S748, and D19S601. Although the higher prevalence of RER was also significant in HCC compared with that in NC (P = .03), in most cases the errors were detected at very low frequencies and random loci. Both LOH and RER tended to appear more prevalently in SL than in NC. The occurrence rate of LOH was higher in the tissues associated with hepatitis B virus (HBV) than with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection especially in HCC (P = .03). When referencing SL instead of PBLs, the prevalence of LOH and RER in HCC significantly decreased (P = .02 and P = .03, respectively). These results suggest that LOH is closely associated with multistep hepatocarcinogenesis especially under HBV infection, but RER is imperceptibly associated. The quantitative evaluation of the frequency of LOH by referencing PBLs may be a useful predictor for HCC development in chronic liver diseases.

重合リン酸塩(P)とソルビトール(S)を単独または混合して加え, 8ヵ月間凍結貯蔵したすり身から調製した二段加熱ゲルの物性を検討し, Pの影響を検討した。その結果, SとPの両方を添加した冷凍すり身からのゲルの物性はSのみを含むすり身からのものより優れ, 特に破断凹みが高かった。また, Sのみの冷凍すり身に塩ずり時にPを添加すると, 同様の優れたゲル物性となることを認めた。ただし, 貯蔵が長期になるとPの添加効果は弱くなった。これらは, 冷凍すり身に対するPの添加効果が主に二段加熱ゲルの品質向上にあることを示している。

グルコン酸ナトリウム(Na-G)を添加したスケトウダラすり身から調製した二段加熱ゲルの物性上の特徴を検討した。その結果Na-Gは, 二段加熱ゲルの破断強度をほとんど変化させずに, 破断凹みを低下させた。また, Na-Gの添加によるゲル物性の変化は二段加熱ゲル中のミオシン重鎖の多量化反応の進行度と関連しなかった。このことから, Na-Gはゲル形成中にタンパク質間の非共有結合に影響を及ぼして, 独特の物性を有する加熱ゲルの形成に寄与していることが示唆された。

空港舗装の設計から補修までを一連のものとして捉える空港舗装システムの構築についてわが国における現状を中心に論じている. まず, 空港舗装に要求される性能として, 走行安全性と構造安定性を詳細に吟味している. すなわち, 前者では舗装の平坦性とすべり抵抗性を, 後者では荷重支持力を検討対象としている. そして, これらの要求性能を満たすための舗装の設計, 評価, 補修方法について考察している. 設計については, 荷重ならびに環境条件を論じたあと, 構造設計法を考察している. また, 評価については舗装に対する要求性能別に検討を加え, 補修については舗装の種類別に論じている.

Frozen surinis of walleye pollack and chum salmon were ground with 3.0% NaC1 in the presence and absence of 0.5% food additive containing bovine plasma. Each salt-ground meat was heated at 25°C or 40°C for varied durations (preheated gel), followed by heating at 90°C for 30 min to produce two-step heated (kamaboko) gel. Quality of the gels was evaluated from the change in gel properties as a function of the preheating time. The cross-linking profile of myosin heavy chains in each gel was also investigated. The results were as follows:1) The gel properties (breaking strength and breaking strain) of the two-step heated gel were greatly enhanced by the addition of plasma powder to the salt-ground meat from both frozen surimis.2) The gel-forming profile of the salt ground meats from both surimis induced by heating at 25, 40, and by subsequent heating at 90°C, were virtually unchanged by the addition of plasma powder.It is thus evident that the characteristic gel-forming nature of the salt-ground meats from walleye pollack and chum salmon remained even if the plasma powder was added, although the gel properties of the two-step heated gel were mostly enhanced.

Frozen surimis of walleye pollack and chum salmon were ground with 3% NaCl and 0.3% food additive containing microbial transglutaminase (TGase). The salt-ground meats were heated at 25°C or 40°C for various periods to prepare preheated gel and subsequently heated at 90°C for 30 min to obtain two-step heated (kamaboko) gel. Quality of the gels was evaluated from the changes in gel properties (breaking strength and breaking strain) as a function of preheating time. Subunit composition of myofibrillar proteins in the gels was also analyzed by SDS-PAGE and densitometry. Results were as follows:1) Gel formation of the salt-ground meat from both frozen surimis was largely enhanced by the addition of TGase.2) The characteristic gel forming profile of each salt-ground meat induced by heating at 25, 40°C, and subsequent heating at 90°C, changed nearly the same as with TGase.3) The cross-linking reaction of myosin heavy chains markedly proceeded in the preheating gels by the addition of TGase. During the subsequent heating at 90°C, the cross-linking reaction did not proceed further.It is evident that the kamaboko gel forming nature of the salt-ground meats from walleye pollack and chum salmon frozen surimis was essentially altered by the addition of TGase. The possible non-covalent type forces between myofibrillar proteins contributing to gel formation in the presence and absence of TGase are discussed.

Kamaboko gels were prepared with 0 ?? 5.0% bovine plasma powder, a food additive, by an ordi-nary manner through preheating at 25°C and 40°C of salt-ground meat from walleye pollack frozen surimi. The quality of kamaboko gel was assessed by measuring breaking strength, breaking strain and the progress of cross-linking of myosin heavy chains.At 25°C, the gelling property was strengthened with plasma powder, that is, the increase in breaking strength and breaking strain were at a maximum when the addition of plasma powder was 5.0% and 1.0%. Simultaneously, the plasma powder in the salt-ground meat suppressed the decrease in myosin heavy chain and the increase in unidentified components, X1, while the cross-linked myosin heavy chains were accumulated with increasing amounts of plasma powder.At 40°C, the plasma powder suppressed one-sided deterioration of the gelling property of the salt-ground meat. The breaking strength and breaking strain of kamaboko gel with plasma powder maintained the same level as those prepared without plasma powder and preheating. The plasma powder suppressed the rates of decrease in myosin heavy chain and increase in the X1 components. However, the cross-linked myosin heavy chains were hardly formed regardless of the presence and absence of plasma powder.These results suggested that the enhancing effect of bovine plasma on the gelling property of salt-ground meat was attributable to strengthening of the interactions among myofibrillar proteins and plasma proteins through noncovalent type bonds.

Two-step heating gels (kamaboko gels) were prepared from walleye pollack frozen surimis of SA and 2nd grades with a 0.3% food additive containing transglutaminase (TGase) or a 0.5% bovine plasma powder by heating at 90°C for 30 minutes after preheating at a fixed temperature between 10 and 80°C.The characteristics of the kamaboko gels were evaluated from the breaking strength, breaking strain, and spring constant as a function of the preheating time.A positive correlation was found between the breaking strength and the spring constant with a high correlation coefficient. The correlation was not affected by the grade of frozen surimi, temperature or duration of the preheating.A linear relation between the breaking strength and the spring constant of kamabako gels without the additive agreed well with that of the gels with a bovine plasma powder, but did not agree with the additive containing TGase.These results suggested that the kamaboko gels produced with a food additive containing TGase are more heterogeneous in quality compared to those of the other two products.

Walleye pollack frozen surimi was ground with 3.0% NaCl in the presence and absence of 0.3% food additive containing transglutaminase. The salt-ground meat was heated at 25°C or 40°C for various durations, followed by heating at 90°C for 30min to obtain kamaboko gels.Quality of the kamaboko gel was evaluated from the changes in the breaking strength and breaking strain as a function of preheating time, as previously reported. In the present study, the crosslinking profile of myosin heavy chains of the same kamaboko gel was investigated. The results were as follows: (1) The addition of the additive containing transglutaminase remarkably accelerated the cross-linking reaction of myosin heavy chains in the salt-ground meat, accumulating cross-linked products with larger molecular sizes. (2) When such cross-linked products were accumulated in a large quantity, the breaking strength increased at a much higher rate than the increase in breaking strain of the same kamaboko gel.Considering the rate of progressing of the cross-linking reaction between myosin heavy chains in the gel, the quality of the kamaboko thus formed was shown to be clearly different from that of the ordinary product.

On applying an additive containing TGase (Trans-glutaminase), kamaboko gels were prepared from six preparations of Walleye pollack frozen surimi with various grades through preheating at 25°C or 40°C for various durations.The Characteristis of kamaboko gel were assessed by measuring the breaking strength together with breaking strain by a rheometer, and heuce the gel strength and spring constant were also evalueted.The gelling property of the frozen surimis was clearly strengthened by the additive containing TGase. However, the quality of kamaboko gel produced from a low grade surimi (Such as 2nd grade) by applying the additive containing TGase was not comparable to that from a high grade frozen surimi such as SA without applying the same additive as above.

We experienced a case of cancer of the sigmoid colon with sarcoid reaction in the regional lymph nodes. A 46-year-old woman was seen at the hospital because of constipation. Colonoscopy indicated a sigmoid colon cancer. Sigmoidectomy was carried out. Histopathological exploration revealed metastatic lesions in the lymph nodes of group 1. But in the lymph nodes of group 2, no metastasis was detected and noncaseous granuloma comprizing of epithelioid cells existed. There were no clinical findings suspecting of sarcoidosis, so it was diagnosed with sarcoid reaction. Sarcoid reaction is reportedly considered as some immunological reaction of the host suggestive of a good prognosis. Some reports describe that immunocytes including T cells are activated in and surrounding the granuloma in sarcoidosis to produce cytokines such as interferon-γ. It can be thought that a cancer-carrying body presenting with sarcoid reaction immunologically recognizes the cancer or injured cancer and then inhibits the proliferation and metastasis of the tumor in some degree.

Kamaboko gels were prepared by adding 0.3% food additive containing transglutaminase in order to set, at a number of different temperatures from salt-ground meat of walleye pollack frozen surimi. The quality of the kamaboko gels thus formed was compared to kamaboko formed without the additive. The breaking strength of the kamaboko gel formed with the additive was much higher, whereas the breaking strain remained at a fairly low level. However, gelling of salt-ground meat in the presence of the additive varied somewhat depending on the setting temperature. In addition, solubility of the kamaboko gel formed with the same additive into SDS (sodium dodecylsulfate)-urea-mercaptoethanol mixture was much lower as setting time progressed, while the kamaboko gel without the additive was easily soluble into the same medium. These results indicate that kamaboko gel prepared in the presence of transglutaminase additive is evidently different from that product without the additive.

Kamaboko gels were prepared by adding 0.5% food additive, bovine plasma powder, by preheating at different temperatures from salt-ground meat of walleye pollack frozen surimi. The quality of kamaboko gel thus formed was compared to kamaboko formed without additive. The gelling property of the salt-ground meat with bovine plasma powder varied with the temperature of preheating. At 30°C and less, the breaking strength and breaking strain of the kamaboko gel formed with the additive was much higher, whereas the breaking strength and breaking strain of the kamaboko gel formed at 40°C and above remained low. However, the quality of the kamaboko gels formed with the bovine plasma powder was generally found to be similar to that of the products on the market by a sensory test, although gel strength and spring constant of products were slightly different.

A moving speed and a wheel load of an aircraft are important factors of airport pavement structual design. The wheel load is a combination of the type of the aircraft, gross weight and tire pressure. The moving speed and wheel path distribution pattern varies by the type of the airport pavement. An equipment was developed to measure the speed and the wheel path distribution of large type aircraft on the taxiways in New Tokyo International Airport. The equipment consists of three sets of laser beams. Two sets of the laser beams are installed in parallel crossing the taxiway. One laser beam is installed at 45 degree angle to the center line of the taxiway.The observed mean speed of aircraft was about 40km/h. The Two-parameter logarithm normal distribution can be used to plot the speed distribution.The distribution of offsets of the aircraft center from the center line of the taxiway can be expressed as the normal distribution. It was observed that the wheel path maximum offset of the main gear was 10m from the center line of the taxiway.

This study investigated the effect of the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor perindopril on left ventricular (LV) remodeling and cardiac function in rats with aortic regurgitation (AR). Twenty male Sprague-Dawley rats in which AR was produced by closed-chest aortic valve puncture were divided into untreated and perindopril-treated (5 mg/kg/day) rats. Ten control rats were sham-operated. Blood pressure, body weight, and echocardiographic recordings were followed every 2 weeks for a period of 12 weeks. LV dimension (LVD) and fractional shortening (FS) were calculated. The heart was finally excised for weight, hydroxyproline measurements, and histopathology. At 12 weeks, end-diastolic LVD increased in untreated rats (10.8 +/- 0.2 mm) but did not dilate in treated rats (9.6 +/- 0.3 mm, p < 0.01 vs untreated rats). FS decreased from 6 weeks in untreated rats (27.3 +/- 0.9% at 12 weeks), but did not change in treated rats (33.8 +/- 0.5%, p < 0.001). The ratio of LV weight to body weight in untreated rats (2.62 +/- 0.11 mg/g, p < 0.05) was higher than in sham-operated rats (1.52 +/- 0.02 mg/g) and than in treated rats (1.95 +/- 0.07 mg/g). Interstitial collagen accumulation histopathologically increased in untreated rats and was inhibited in treated rats. LV collagen of untreated rats (1.46 +/- 0.08 mg/100 mg, p = 0.03) was higher than those of treated (1.08 +/- 0.09 mg/100 mg) and sham-operated rats (1.06 +/- 0.14 mg/100 mg). Perindopril inhibited LV remodeling induced by volume overload and preserved LV function in AR rats.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) mainly arises from the liver with chronic inflammation. Because telomere reduction reflects replicative history in somatic cells, we analyzed the possibility that liver tissues surrounding HCC consist of the cells carrying substantial reduction of telomere. We studied 20 HCC and surrounding noncancerous liver tissues (SL) obtained by surgical resection, and 10 laparoscopically obtained needle biopsy specimens of the liver with chronic inflammation including no overt HCC (CI). Five liver tissues without chronic liver diseases (ND) were also examined. Extracted genomic DNAs were blotted on a nylon membrane, and probed at first with radio-labeled d(TTAGGG)(3) and reprobed with radio-labeled d(CCT)(7). The intensity caused by d(TTAGGG)(3) was divided by that of d(CCT)(7). The ratio was defined as telomeric repeats content (TC). Dilution experiments reproducibly revealed almost the same TC. The reduction rate of telomere length through aging estimated by regression analysis of TC was 0.62% per year. Concomitant analyses of TC and average telomere length revealed that both values were significantly correlated (r =.45; P =.009). To compare TC in the liver with respect to chronic inflammation, the value was divided by TC in peripheral blood leukocytes (PBL) from the same donor. The ratio was defined as relative TC (RTC). There was a statistically significant decrease of RTC in CI compared with that in ND (P =.03). Furthermore, RTC in SL was significantly lower than that in CI (P =.0001). These observations suggest that RTC value in liver tissues may digitally indicate a replicative history of hepatocytes under chronic inflammation, and a risk of HCC development.

Electrical stimulation of afferent renal nerves and activation of intrarenal receptors increases plasma vasopressin concentration, but the role of afferent renal nerves in the control of vasopressin secretion is not clear. Recently, we reported that activation of renal mechanoreceptors stimulates the release of vasopressin. However, Intrapelvic pressure was increased to 50mmHg, and this increase is above the normal physiological range. Therefore, in the present study, we investigated the effect of moderately increased intrapelvic pressure on plasma vasopressin concentration in anesthetized rabbits. First, we measured renal tissue pressure while Intrapelvic pressure was increased stepwise in 10-mmHg increments. Basal renal tissue pressure was 17±2mmHg. Renal tissue pressure increased only when Intrapelvic pressure was higher than the basal tissue pressure of each animal. Usually, increases in intrapelvic pressure less than 20mmHg did not increase renal tissue pressure. This finding suggests that only increases in Intrapelvic pressure more than 20mmHg can activate renal mechanoreceptors. Based on this finding, the effects of moderate increases in intrapelvic pressure (15 and 30mmHg) were studied. With a 15-mmHg increase in intrapelvic pressure, plasma vasopressin concentration did not change significantly. However, when Intrapelvic pressure was increased to 30mmHg, plasma vasopressin concentration increased from 5.6±1.4 to 9.5±2.8pg/ml at 5min (p

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is one of the chronic autoimmune diseases with various inflammatory manifestations involving multiple organ systems, accompanied by multiple immunological abnormalities. The Preliminary Criteria for the Classification of SLE by American Rheumatism Association (ARA) had been widely used for the diagnosis of patients with SLE since 1971.The criteria was newly revised by ARA in 1982. The sensitivity and the specificity of the 1982 Revised Criteria was evaluated in our patients with connective tissue diseases. The sensitivity for SLE (78 cases) was 94.9%, and the specificities against PSS (17 cases), PM (10 cases) or RA (19 cases) were all 100%.The sensitivity for the diagnosis at initial visits in patients with SLE was also 78.2% and the 1982 Criteria was considered to be quite useful for early diagnosis of SLE.The results indicated that the 1982 Criteria could be more useful in diagnosis of SLE than the 1971 Criteria.

In airport pavement, the design load is extraordinarily large and the variety of running speed is very wide. Further more, the loading condition of each pavement differs greatly depending on its location and object.From these characteristics, there are still many unknown structural factors in designing airport pavement.The main parts of the pavements such as runway and apron, of New Tokyo International Airport, were constructed from 1971 to 1973. To collect the response data of the pavements by aircraft loads, pressure gauges, deflection meters and strain gauges were set at two points of the runway and one point of apron during the construction period.Just after the completion of pavements in 1972 and 1973, the tests were conducted using the testing vehicle with large type aircraft gear wheels, and the response data by static and dynamic loads were obtained by the above instruments.After opening of the airport in May 1978, the dynamic response data of vertical stress in the subbases and subgrades of the runway and apron pavements were collected using the actual aircraft.This thesis clarifies the characteristics of different usage conditions of runway and apron facilities by comparing the static and dynamic response of the testing vehicle with the dynamic response of aircrafts, and also deals with structural evaluation of both runway and apron pavements.

In this study, a new autoantibody was identified in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), which was tentatively named as anti-HaT-1 antibody.It was shown by double immunodiffusion method that anti-HaT-1 antibody had independent specificity from the hitherto reported autoantibodies in sera of patients with connective tissue diseases.The antigenicity of the HaT-1 antigen was destroyed with treatment by trypsin, whereas it was not inactivated by digestions with either DNase or RNase.The HaT-1 antigen was considered to be an acidic protein with approximate molecular weight of 150, 000 daltons. The HaT-1 antigen was present in soluble extracts of human and rat livers but not detected in those of rabbit and calf thymus or Raji cell. The HaT-1 antibody was detected in sera of 9 out of 45 RA patients, 2 out of 16 RA patients with Sjogren's syndrome. 空港舗装は道路舗装に比べ, 対象とする荷重が大きく, 荷重作用の頻度が小さい。また, 縦断的に走行特性が大きく異なり, 幅員も大きく, 横断的に走行分布が集中して荷重作用をほとんど受けない部分があるなどの特長があげられる。本研究は空港舗装の代表的施設として滑走路を選び, その路面性状の変化を追跡し, 滑走路舗装のライフサイクルを明らかにすると共に, そこに用いられた表層混合物の物性変化を把握し, 供用実績を踏えて適正混合物の開発を図るものである。路面性状の評価には平坦性とひび割れ率を主因子として解析している。混合物の物性については, バインダーとしてのアスファルトと混合物に分け, おのおのの経時変化を追跡している。

We investigated the effects of blood pressure on the blood flow in the inner ear as compared with other organs in normotensive rats (NR), spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) and renal hypertensive rats (RHR). The cardiac output and the regional blood flow were measured by a radioactive microsphere technique in conscious rats. The haemodynamics of the inner ear and other organs and the effects of a converting-enzyme inhibitor (SA-446) on the regional blood flow were compared among NR, SHR, and RHR, the blood pressure being 107, 152, and 185 mm Hg, respectively. With the exception of the heart, the organ blood flow was lower in SHR than in NR in all organs, including the inner ear. It was also lower in RHR than in SHR. The blood pressure dropped after i.v. injection of SA-446, while the regional blood flow increased. The effect was strongest in RHR, followed by SHR and finally NR.

Med., 1984, 144 (2), 151-163-Chromosome analysis using a G-Banding technique was performed in 35 couples (70 individuals) with a history of two or more spontaneous abortions of unknown cause. Among these individuals, 5 (7%) showed balanced translocations, all of whom were female. The outcome of 31 pregnancies of 10 balanced translocation carriers was as follows: Ten of the offspring had normal phenotypes (32%), 5 (16%) were born with chromosomal abnormalities and 16 (52%) were spontaneously aborted.

The relative reactivities of substituted benzyl bromides toward bromine abstraction by substituted phenyl radicals were determined at 60°C. The nature and the extent of polar and conjugative effects were found to depend on the substituents on the radicals.

The present paper reports a case of double cancer of the biliary tract, i.e., the gallbladder and the lower portion of the common bile duct, developing 14 years after extended radical mastectomy for left breast cancer. A 79-year-old woman with the chief complaints of jaundice and epigastric pain was admitted to the department of surgery of our hospital under the diagnosis of obstructive jaundice. After a detailed examination, the patient underwent surgery for suspected cancer in the lower portion of the common bile duct and the gallbladder. Histopathologically the tumor in the gallbladder was tubular adenocarcinoma while that in the lower portion of the common bile duct was poorly differentiated cacinoma. As no continuity was noted between the two tumors, and lymph node metastasis was negative, the case was diagnosed as double cancer of the biliary tract. The breast cancer was scirrhous carcinoma located in the AC region with negative lymph node metastasis. Thus, this was a case of asynchronous triple cancer of the breast, gallbladder and common bile duct. Double cancer of the biliary tract is comparatively rare, and an association with carcinoma of other organs has been reported in only one case with concurrent gastric cancer. The authors report the extremely rare case of triple cancer involving the breast, and present a reveiw of the literature on cancer developing in other organs after surgery for breast cancer.

It is generally known that there must be a theoretical correlation between the standards of costs, construction management, and test for the airport pavement. This paper attempts to propose the relevant standards of each element based upon the following work: 1) collection of actual data for the airport-pavement construction management at major airports, 2) statistical analysis of the data (i. e., study of normal distribution and calculation of standard deviation), and 3) definition of relevance for each standard.

The crystal and molecular structures of alkylchromium(III) complexes, trans-[Cr(CH2Cl)(acac)2(H2O)]·EtOH and trans-[Cr(CH2Cl)(acac)2(MeOH)] (acac−=2,4-pentanedionate anion, EtOH=ethanol, MeOH=methanol), have been determined by X-ray structure analyses. Both crystals are triclinic and the space group P\bar1; Z=2 with a=9.935(2), b=10.606(2), c=9.399(2) A, α=90.39(2), β=92.44(2), γ=115.54(1)° for the aqua complex, and Z=4 with a=11.402(6), b=16.780(7), c=8.543(3) A, α=98.83(3), β=102.00(4), γ=83.03(4)° for the methanol complex. Each complex has trans configuration. The carbon-bonded CH2CI group elongates specifically the Cr–O bond trans to the Cr–C bond in the aqua complex (Cr–O(H2O)=2.134(6) A) and methanol complex (Cr–O(MeOH)=2.156(6), 2.136(6) A).

In addition to the coagulation and fibrinolytic activities, changes in plasma C3, C4 and C1INH levels were investigated in 52 patients with obstructive jaundice. Increase of fibrinogen levels and prolongation of euglobulin lysis time (ELT) were the common features in patients without cholangitis. Whereas, patients with cholangitis showed more prominent prolongation of activated partial thromboplastin time and ELT, and reduction of thrombotest values, hepaplastintest (HPT) values, antithrombin III levels and plasminogen levels than those without cholangitis. These abormalities improved favorably after the appropriate biliary drainage. A marked reduction of plasminogen levels associated with prolonged ELT was considered to be an unfavorable sign suggesting a significant risk of major complications especially acute gastrointestinal hemorrhage and shock after the biliary drainage. The postoperative rise of HPT values and plasminogen levels, which occurred generally in the control group, was not proved in the patients who had the postoperative complications especially gastrointestinal hemorrhage and liver failure.Among the complement system, levels of C3, C4 and C1INH showed a significant increase in obstructive jaundice. Increased levels of C3 and C1INH improvedd significantly after the biliary drainage. There was a significant correlation between the levels of C1INH and ELT. This result suggested that the increase of plasma C1INH levels should play a certain role in decrease of fibrinolytic activity in obstructive jaundice.
