Abstract A sufficiently high current output of nano energy harvesting devices is highly desired in practical applications, while still a challenge. Theoretical evidence has demonstrated that Coulomb drag based on the ion-electron coupling interaction, can amplify current in nanofluidic energy generation systems, resulting in enhanced energy harvesting. However, experimental validation of this concept is still lacking. Here we develop a nanofluidic chemoelectrical generator (NCEG) consisting of a carbon nanotube membrane (CNTM) sandwiched between metal electrodes, in which spontaneous redox reactions between the metal and oxygen in electrolyte solution enable the movement of ions within the carbon nanotubes. Through Coulomb drag effect between moving ions in these nanotubes and electrons within the CNTM, an amplificated current of 1.2 mA cm−2 is generated, which is 16 times higher than that collected without a CNTM. Meanwhile, one single NCEG unit can produce a high voltage of ~0.8 V and exhibit a linear scalable performance up to tens of volts. Different from the other Coulomb drag systems that need additional energy input, the NCEG with enhanced energy harvesting realizes the ion-electron coupling by its own redox reactions potential, which provides a possibility to drive multiple electronic devices for practical applications. more...

Abstract Background Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is one of the most lethal malignant tumors among women, characterized by high invasiveness, high heterogeneity, and lack of specific therapeutic targets such as estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2. Trophoblast cell-surface antigen-2 (TROP-2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein over-expressed in 80% of TNBC patients and is associated with the occurrence, progress, and poor prognosis of TNBC. The TROP-2 targeted immunoPET imaging allows non-invasive quantification of the TROP-2 expression levels of tumors, which could help to screen beneficiaries most likely to respond to SG and predict the response. This study aimed to develop a 89Zr/177Lu-radiolabeled anti-TROP-2 antibody (NY003) for immunoPET and SPECT imaging, as well as radioimmunotherapy (RIT) in TROP-2 (+)TNBC tumor-bearing model. Based on the camelid antibody, we developed a TROP-2 targeted recombinant antibody NY003. NY003 was conjugated with DFO and DTPA for 89Zr and 177Lu radiolabelling, respectively. The theranostic potential of [89Zr]Zr-DFO-NY003/[177Lu]Lu-DTPA-NY003 was evaluated through immunoPET, SPECT imaging, and RIT studies in the subcutaneous TROP-2 positive TNBC xenograft mice model. Results The high binding affinity of NY003 to TROP-2 was verified through ELISA. The radiochemical purity of [89Zr]Zr-DFO-NY003/[177Lu]Lu-DTPA-NY003 exceeded 95% and remained stable within 144h p.i. in vitro. Non-targeted screening (NTS) technology has been showing significant potential in identifying contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) in water and has attracted great attention in academia in recent years. It is a method that analyzes samples without pre-selecting substances, enabling the detection and identification of unknown compounds, which is crucial for environmental health and public protection. This study uses the Bibliometrix package in R 4.4.1 and CiteSpace 6.3.R1 software to statistically analyze 589 relevant publications from the Web of Science Core Collection from 2007 to 2024. Our work concentrates on NTS of water bodies; thus, articles that only analyze water sediments without analyzing the water were not considered for inclusion. By conducting a quantitative analysis and visualizing the publication trends, countries, authors, journals, and keywords, the present study identifies research hotspots, compositions, and paradigms within this field, trying to analyze the horizontal and vertical development trends and structural evolution of the research area. The research found that the application of NTS in water pollution studies has progressed through three phases: theoretical exploration, rapid development, and steady progress. From the national level, China leads with the highest number of publications (131), followed by Germany (105), Spain (50), and the United States (39). The top three authors by publication volume are J. Hollender, Nikolaos S. Thomaidis, and Emma L. Schymanski, while the top three by citation count are J. Hollender, Emma L. Schymanski, and M. Krauss. However, international collaboration between countries and researchers still remains an area for improvement. Science of the Total Environment is the journal with the highest number of publications (81), and Environmental Science & Technology holds the highest number of citations. Research on NTS methodologies, suspect screening, and health risk assessments are hot topics in the academic community. Future research is expected to be multidisciplinary, with emerging hotspots likely to focus on including the identification of novel pollutants through NTS, toxicity assessments of biotransformed compounds, and the health impacts and mechanisms of related compounds. more...

5. High-Precision Multi-Object Tracking in Satellite Videos via Pixel-Wise Adaptive Feature Enhancement

In this paper, we focus on the multi-target tracking (MOT) task in satellite videos. To achieve efficient and accurate tracking, we propose a transformer-distillation-based end-to-end joint detection and tracking (JDT) method. Specifically, (1) considering that targets in satellite videos usually have small scales and are shot from a bird’s-eye view, we propose a pixel-wise transformer-based feature distillation module through which useful object representations are learned via pixel-wise distillation using a strong teacher detection network; (2) targets in satellite videos, such as airplanes, ships, and vehicles, usually have similar appearances, so we propose a temperature-controllable key feature learning objective function, and by highlighting the learning of similar features during distilling, the tracking accuracy for such objects can be further improved; (3) we propose a method that is based on an end-to-end network but simultaneously learns from a highly precise teacher network and tracking head during training so that the tracking accuracy of the end-to-end network can be improved via distillation without compromising efficiency. The experimental results on three recently released publicly available datasets demonstrated the superior performance of the proposed method for satellite videos. 6. An Integrated Detection and Multi-Object Tracking Pipeline for Satellite Video Analysis of Maritime and Aerial Objects

Optical remote sensing videos, as a new source of remote sensing data that has emerged in recent years, have significant potential in remote sensing applications, especially national defense. In this paper, a tracking pipeline named TDNet (tracking while detecting based on a neural network) is proposed for optical remote sensing videos based on a correlation filter and deep neural networks. The pipeline is used to simultaneously track ships and planes in videos. There are many target tracking methods for general video data, but they suffer some difficulties in remote sensing videos with low resolution and those influenced by weather conditions. The tracked targets are usually misty. Therefore, in TDNet, we propose a new multi-target tracking method called MT-KCF and a detecting-assisted tracking (i.e., DAT) module to improve tracking accuracy and precision. Meanwhile, we also design a new target recognition (i.e., NTR) module to recognise newly emerged targets. In order to verify the performance of TDNet, we compare our method with several state-of-the-art tracking methods on optical video remote sensing data sets acquired from the Jilin No. 1 satellite. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and the state-of-the-art performance of the proposed method. The proposed method can achieve more than 90% performance in terms of precision for single-target tracking tasks and more than 85% performance in terms of MOTA for multi-object tracking tasks. more...

7. 99mTc-Labeled FAPI SPECT Imaging in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis: Preliminary Results

Aim: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is associated with a poor prognosis, presenting the most aggressive form of interstitial lung diseases (ILDs). Activated fibroblasts are crucial for pathological processes. Fibroblast activation protein (FAP) inhibitor (FAPI) tracers would be promising imaging agents for these diseases. The purpose of this study was to evaluate a 99mTc-labeled FAPI tracer, 99mTc-HFAPI imaging in IPF patients. Methods: Eleven IPF patients (nine males and two females; age range 55–75 year) were included in this pilot study. 99mTc-HFAPI serial whole-body scintigraphy at 5 min, 20 min, 40 min, 1 h, 2 h, 3 h, 4 h, and 6 h was acquired for dynamic biodistribution and dosimetry estimation in seven representative patients. SPECT/CT tomography fusion imaging of the chest region was performed in all patients at 4 h post-injection, which was considered as the optimal acquisition time. Dosimetry was calculated using OLINDA/EXM software (version 2.0; HERMES Medical Solutions). The quantified or semi-quantified standardized uptake values (SUVs) and lesion-to-background ratios (LBRs) of affected lung parenchyma were also calculated. The high-resolution CT (HRCT) stage was determined with visual evaluation, and the total HRCT score of each patient was measured using a weighting factor formula. Pulmonary function tests (PFTs) were recorded as well. Then, the relationships between the 99mTc-HFAPI results, disease extent on HRCT, and PFT results were investigated. Results: Normal physiological uptake of 99mTc-HFAPI was observed mainly in the liver, intestinal tract, pancreas, gallbladder, and to a lesser extent in the spleen, kidneys, and thyroid, with no apparent retention in the blood circulation at the late time point. The mean injected activity of 99mTc-HFAPI was 813.4 MBq (range 695.6–888.0 MBq). No subjective side effects were noticed. The average whole-body effective dose was 0.0041 mSv/MBq per patient. IPF patients exhibited elevated pulmonary 99mTc-HFAPI uptake in abnormal lung regions, which was correlated with fibrotic regions on HRCT. Among different HRCT stage groups, both SUVmax and LBR showed significant differences (p < 0.001). The higher HRCT stage demonstrated significantly higher SUVmax and LBR. A linear correlation between 99mTc-HFAPI uptake and total HRCT score was observed for SUVmax (r = 0.7839, F = 54.41, p = 0.0094) and LBR (r = 0.7402, F = 56.33, p = 0.0092). 99mTc-HFAPI uptake also had moderate correlations with PFT results. Conclusions: Our preliminary data show that the 99mTc-HFAPI SPECT imaging is a promising new imaging modality in IPF patients. 8. Optimized Therapeutic 177Lu-Labeled PSMA-Targeted Ligands with Improved Pharmacokinetic Characteristics for Prostate Cancer

Clinical trials have shown the significant efficacy of [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-617 for treating prostate cancer. However, the pharmacokinetic characteristics and therapeutic performance of [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-617 still need further improvement to meet clinical expectations. The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and therapeutic potential of three novel 177Lu-labeled ligands for the treatment of prostate cancer. The novel ligands were efficiently synthesized and radiolabeled with non-carrier added 177Lu; the radiochemical purity of the final products was determined by Radio-HPLC. The specific cell-binding affinity to PSMA was evaluated in vitro using prostate cancer cell lines 22Rv1and PC-3. Blood pharmacokinetic analysis, biodistribution experiments, small animal SPCET imaging and treatment experiments were performed on normal and tumor-bearing mice. Among all the novel ligands developed in this study, [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-Q showed the highest uptake in 22Rv1 cells, while there was almost no uptake in PC-3 cells. As the SPECT imaging tracer, [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-Q is highly specific in delineating PSMA-positive tumors, with a shorter clearance half-life and higher tumor-to-background ratio than [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-617. Biodistribution studies verified the SPECT imaging results. Furthermore, [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-Q serves well as an effective therapeutic ligand to suppress tumor growth and improve the survival rate of tumor-bearing mice. All the results strongly demonstrate that [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-Q is a PSMA-specific ligand with significant anti-tumor effect in preclinical models, and further clinical evaluation is worth conducting. more...

9. Pilot-Scale Vinification of Cabernet Sauvignon Using Combined Lactiplantibacillus plantarum and Saccharomyces cerevisiae to Achieve Wine Acidification

Insufficient acidity in grape berries from warm climate regions has been exacerbated due to global warming, thereby becoming a major concern for winemaking. The wine lactic acid bacterium Lactiplantibacillus plantarum has potential to ameliorate wine acidity by producing lactic acid from hexose metabolism, but its impact on wine compositions and sensory outcomes is not well studied. Here, we evaluated acidification and fermentation performance of indigenous L. plantarum in two inoculation regimes (i.e., reverse inoculation and co-inoculation) by conducting pilot-scale vinification using Cabernet Sauvignon with low acidity. Important parameters of the bio-acidified wines, including fermentation kinetics, basic oenological parameters, volatile and sensory profile were compared to those in wines produced by single Saccharomyces cerevisiae with/without chemical acidification. Total titratable acidity in L. plantarum wines were either comparable or significantly higher compared to the chemical acidification control. Chemical profiling reviewed remarkable differences in certain organic acids and major volatile compounds, especially an up to a five-fold, six-fold, and nine-fold increase in lactic acid, ethyl lactate and isoamyl lactate, respectively. Changes in chemical compositions of the bio-acidified wines resulted in differentiated sensory perception compared to the control wines. Except having higher scores for “wine acidity”, the flavour profile of the bio-acidified wines was shifted towards “jammy fruit” and “butter” aromas. 10. Optimized 68Ga-Labeled Urea-Based PSMA-Targeted PET Tracers for Prostate Cancer

Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeting radiopharmaceuticals have become some of the most promising tools for the diagnosis and therapy prostate cancer (PCa). The structure of existing PSMA-targeted PET tracers still needs to be optimized to improve their pharmacokinetic properties and tumor-to-background ratio. In this study, we modified the structure of a well-studied PSMA tracer, and six novel tracers with variable hydrophilicity and pharmacokinetics were developed and evaluated both in vitro and in vivo. All of the novel tracers showed high hydrophilicity (log p = −2.99 ± 0.33 to −3.49 ± 0.01), rapid clearance rates (elimination half-times = 15.55 to 35.97 min), and high affinity for PSMA (Ki = 8.11 ± 0.49 to 42.40 ± 2.11 nM) in vitro. Specific cell binding and micro-PET experiments showed that [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-Q displayed the highest specific PSMA+ cell uptake (3.75 ± 0.35 IA%/106 at 60 min), tumor uptake (SUVmax = 0.97 ± 0.24 at 60 min p.i.), and tumor-to-muscle ratio (59.33 ± 5.72 at 60 min p.i.), while the tumor-to-muscle ratio was much higher than that of [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-617. 11. Split-Attention Networks with Self-Calibrated Convolution for Moon Impact Crater Detection from Multi-Source Data

Impact craters are the most prominent features on the surface of the Moon, Mars, and Mercury. They play an essential role in constructing lunar bases, the dating of Mars and Mercury, and the surface exploration of other celestial bodies. The traditional crater detection algorithms (CDA) are mainly based on manual interpretation which is combined with classical image processing techniques. The traditional CDAs are, however, inefficient for detecting smaller or overlapped impact craters. In this paper, we propose a Split-Attention Networks with Self-Calibrated Convolution (SCNeSt) architecture, in which the channel-wise attention with multi-path representation and self-calibrated convolutions can generate more prosperous and more discriminative feature representations. The algorithm first extracts the crater feature model under the well-known target detection R-FCN network framework. The trained models are then applied to detecting the impact craters on Mercury and Mars using the transfer learning method. In the lunar impact crater detection experiment, we managed to extract a total of 157,389 impact craters with diameters between 0.6 and 860 km. Our proposed model outperforms the ResNet, ResNeXt, ScNet, and ResNeSt models in terms of recall rate and accuracy is more efficient than that other residual network models. Without training for Mars and Mercury remote sensing data, our model can also identify craters of different scales and demonstrates outstanding robustness and transferability. more...

With the intensification of the epidemic, schools around the world have begun to implement online distance learning. This paper investigates the connection between performance and students' anxiety in a foreign language online classroom. The authors collected 102 sophomore English majors’ Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scales (FLCAS) and collected their professional grades in a certain subject and conducted relevant interviews with six students. According to studies, there is a link between student performance and anxiety in foreign language classes. At the end of this paper, the authors put forward some methods to reduce anxiety in foreign language classrooms. For example, teachers adjust teaching methods, encourage students to dare to speak, create a relaxed classroom environment, and let students dare to make mistakes. For students, they should find out the factors that cause anxiety and find a learning method that suits them. In this study, we synthesized a novel fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-labeled prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) ligand (PSMA-FITC) via the Fmoc solid-phase synthesis method, and the application value of PSMA-FITC in targeted fluorescence imaging of PSMA-positive prostate cancer was evaluated. The PSMA ligand developed based on the Glu-urea-Lys structure was linked to FITC by aminocaproic acid (Ahx) to obtain PSMA-FITC. The new probe was evaluated in vitro and in vivo. Fluorescence microscopy examination of PSMA-FITC in PSMA(+) LNCaP cells, PSMA(−) PC3 cells, and blocked LNCaP cells showed that the binding of PSMA-FITC with PSMA was target-specific. For in vivo optical imaging, PSMA-FITC exhibited rapid 22Rv1 tumor targeting within 30 min of injection, and the highest tumor-background ratio (TBR) was observed 60 min after injection. The TBR was 3.45 ± 0.31 in the nonblocking group and 0.44 ± 0.13 in the blocking group, which was consistent with the in vitro results. PSMA-FITC is a promising probe and has important reference value for the development of PSMA fluorescent probes. Genetic variations in the 3′UTR of mRNAs as well as sequences of microRNAs (miRNAs) and long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) can affect gene expression by interfering with the binding between them. In this study, we investigated the role of the following polymorphisms in the risk of hypertension: the 774T > C (rs17337023) polymorphism located in the EGFR 3’ untranslated region (3’UTR), the rs884225 polymorphism located in the sequence of miR‐214, and the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) rs325797437, rs344501106, rs81286029 and rs318656749 located in the promoter of lncRNA MEG3. Taqman genotyping assays and haplotype analysis tools were used to measure the MEG3 haplotypes and the rs17337023 and rs884225 polymorphisms genotypes. The relationship between MEG3, miR‐214 and EGFR was validated using computational analysis and luciferase assays. Unlike other polymorphisms, only patients grouped according to their rs884225 genotypes exhibited varied EGFR mRNA and protein levels, which indicated that the rs884225 genotype is associated with the expression of EGFR mRNA and protein levels. MiR‐214 was confirmed to bind to MEG3 and 3’UTR of EGFR by showing that the transfection of exogenous miR‐214 significantly down‐regulated the luciferase activity of A549 and H460 cells transfected with wild‐type MEG3 or wild‐type EGFR 3’ UTR. Additionally, MEG3 overexpression inhibited miR‐214 expression while elevating the EGFR mRNA and protein expressions. Meanwhile, MEG3 down‐regulation demonstrated an opposite result, thus establishing the MEG3/miR‐214/EGRF signalling pathway. Our study confirmed that the T > C substitution of rs884225 polymorphism located in miR‐214 binding site in the 3’UTR of EGFR is associated with increased risk of primary hypertension. more...

CXCR4 plays an important role in a number of immunological-based diseases and cancers. The development of radiotracers targeting CXCR4 can provide a valuable tool for the diagnosis and monitoring of conditions involving deregulation of the receptor. The incorporation of multiple radionuclides into small molecules, peptides, and CXCR4 ligands have been reported and characterized. In this study, a 99mTc labeled AMD3465 with high yields and radiochemical purity was prepared. In vitro and in vivo study of [99mTc]TcAMD3465 showed high stability and binding affinity, with a hydrophilic log P value of − 2.67. Biodistribution study was investigated using tissue and organ samples with a well-type Na(I) detector, high radioactivity accumulation was observed in liver, spleen and bone, consistent with high CXCR4 expression in these organs. SPECT imaging was performed in H460 xenograft mouse model, [99mTc]TcAMD3465 showed comparable tumor uptake and a significantly high tumor-to-background ratio, suggesting potential utility of [99mTc]TcAMD3465 as a CXCR4 receptor imaging agent. more...

Rational design of micro-nano morphology and suitable crystalline structure are highly desired for metal hydroxides to achieve overall high-performance in the advanced electrodes for flexible supercapacitors. Herein, a novel wisteria flower-like microstructure of cobalt-nickel double hydroxide (CoNi-DH) is successfully constructed on carbon cloth (CC) using an in-situ hydrolysis-induced exchange process between hydroxide ions and organic ligands of the Co-MOF in four different kinds of solutions containing Ni2+. The as-prepared wisteria flower-like microstructure grown on CC shows vertically aligned arrays with high specific area and abundant active sites, which not only guarantee the CoNi-DH active materials to be thoroughly exposed in the electrolyte, resulting in highly effective pseudocapacitive energy storage, but also are beneficial to rapid and reversible redox kinetics and thus give rise to high-rate capability. In addition, compared to Ni(NO3)2, NiCl2, and Ni(CH3COO)2 solutions, the Ni2SO4 solution is found to facilitate the formation of the most regular morphology and the largest interlayer spacing on (003) plane of the layered nickel hydroxide phase in the resultant CoNi-DH. As a result, the optimal CoNi-DH-S@CC (CoNi-DH prepared in Ni2SO4) serves as an advanced electrode to show high-rate capability (only 13% Cs decay after a 15-fold current elevation) and a superior specific capacity (Cs) of 929.4 C g-1, which remarkably exceeds those of CoNi-DH-N (823.1 C g-1, in Ni(NO3)2), CoNi-DH-Cl (798.4 C g-1, in NiCl2), CoNi-DH-C (803.8 C g-1, in Ni(CH3COO)2), and other similar metal hydroxides. Moreover, with this CoNi-DH-S electrode as the positive electrode, the as-prepared asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) delivers an impressive capacity of 204.8 C g-1, a superior energy density of 42.5 Wh kg-1, and satisfactory cycle life (81.5% reservation after 7500 cycles). As a proof-of-concept application, a quasi-solid-state ASC is further successfully fabricated based on the CoNi-DH-S electrode to exhibit encouraging application potential. more...

The high-efficiency development and utilization of bamboo resources can greatly alleviate the current shortage of wood and promote the neutralization of CO2. However, the wide application of bamboo-derived products is largely limited by their unideal surface properties with adhesive as well as poor gluability. Herein, a facile strategy using the surfactant-induced reconfiguration of urea-formaldehyde (UF) resins was proposed to enhance the interface with bamboo and significantly improve its gluability. Specifically, through the coupling of a variety of surfactants, the viscosity and surface tension of the UF resins were properly regulated. Therefore, the resultant surfactant reconfigured UF resin showed much-improved wettability and spreading performance to the surface of both bamboo green and bamboo yellow. Specifically, the contact angle (CA) values of the bamboo green and bamboo yellow decreased from 79.6° to 30.5° and from 57.5° to 28.2°, respectively, with the corresponding resin spreading area increasing from 0.2 mm2 to 7.6 mm2 and from 0.1 mm2 to 5.6 mm2. Moreover, our reconfigured UF resin can reduce the amount of glue spread applied to bond the laminated commercial bamboo veneer products to 60 g m−2, while the products prepared by the initial UF resin are unable to meet the requirements of the test standard, suggesting that this facile method is an effective way to decrease the application of petroleum-based resins and production costs. Impact craters are the most prominent features on the surface of the Moon, Mars, and Mercury. They play an essential role in constructing lunar bases, the dating of Mars and Mercury, and the surface exploration of other celestial bodies. The traditional crater detection algorithms (CDA) are mainly based on manual interpretation which is combined with classical image processing techniques. The traditional CDAs are, however, inefficient for detecting smaller or overlapped impact craters. In this paper, we propose a Split-Attention Networks with Self-Calibrated Convolution (SCNeSt) architecture, in which the channel-wise attention with multi-path representation and self-calibrated convolutions can generate more prosperous and more discriminative feature representations. The algorithm first extracts the crater feature model under the well-known target detection R-FCN network framework. The trained models are then applied to detecting the impact craters on Mercury and Mars using the transfer learning method. In the lunar impact crater detection experiment, we managed to extract a total of 157,389 impact craters with diameters between 0.6 and 860 km. Our proposed model outperforms the ResNet, ResNeXt, ScNet, and ResNeSt models in terms of recall rate and accuracy is more efficient than that other residual network models. Without training for Mars and Mercury remote sensing data, our model can also identify craters of different scales and demonstrates outstanding robustness and transferability. more...

The prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is considered to be an excellent theranostic target of prostate cancer (PCa). In this study, three 18F-labeled PSMA tracers with a more lipophilic quinoline functional spacer were designed, synthesized, and evaluated based on the Glu-Ureido-Lys binding motif. The effect of structure-related lipophilic difference on distribution and excretion of these tracers in vitro and in vivo (cells, rodent, primate, and human) was investigated by comparing with [18F]DCFPyL. There is no significant correlation between the renal elimination and the lipophilicity of the tracers in all species. However, the higher the lipophilicity of tracer, the higher the radioactivity accumulation in the liver of primate and human, and the less radioactivity is to excrete to the bladder with urine. The screened tracer [18F]8c, with a Ki value of 4.58 nM, displayed notable low bladder retention and demonstrated good imaging properties in patients with PCa. more...

Crater extraction and recognition is an important research content of deep space planetary science. Traditional crater detection algorithms (CDAs) are mainly based on crater feature construction which relies on high-quality data. With the application of deep learning in image recognition and semantic segmentation, new ideas have been brought to meteorite crater extraction. Many crater extraction algorithms based on artificial intelligence have been proposed which greatly simplifies the crater extraction process and improves detection accuracy. However, with the improvement of the accuracy, the convolution kernels become more and more, and the huge parameters and the consumption of storage and computing resources limit the application of these algorithms in mobile device. In order to solve this problem, we propose a compact crater extraction network based on model pruning. In the combination of U-Net and residual block, the network structure is optimized under the premise of retaining the longitude of large model extraction, and the balance of hardware resources and algorithm accuracy is achieved. The experimental results show that we compress the model to 4.9% of raw size and only lose almost 0.5% accuracy. The efficient use of abundant renewable bamboo as high value-added decoration and building materials is of great significance for mitigating carbon dioxide emissions and maintaining sustainable development. The key challenge is to explore efficient and gentle methods to improve the undesirable surface properties of bamboo. Herein, a colorful and superhydrophobic bamboo is gently fabricated by a facile in-situ growth and conversion method based on metal-organic framework (for constructing micro-nano composite structures) and subsequent coating of sodium laurate (for reducing surface energy) at room temperature. The resulting sodium laurate-coated cobalt-nickel double hydroxide layer (CoNi-DH-La) is demonstrated as an efficient superhydrophobic layer to exhibit excellent chemical and mechanical stability. Impressively, the as-obtained CoNi-DH-La-coated bamboo sheet (BS-CoNi-DH-La) shows positive performances in terms of mildew resistance, flame retardancy, and self-cleaning. In view of the problems of traditional lunar crater detection algorithm (CDA) needs artificial building crater, morphological characteristics, and the extraction precision is not high and the retrieval speed slower. In this paper, based on the Image segmentation convolutional network U-Net model, an automatic crater extraction method based on the improved U-Net model is proposed. The features of craters on the lunar surface were parameterized by deep convolutional neural network, and the residual block and multiple types of dense skip connection were introduced into the convolutional network in multi-scale sampling to further accelerate the convergence speed of the model and improve the detection accuracy, thus realizing the intelligent detection of craters on the lunar surface. Finally, the accuracy of the algorithm is verified by selecting DEM on the lunar surface and craters marking data set. The electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction (OER) by efficient catalysts is a crucial step for the conversion of renewable energy into hydrogen fuel, in which surface/near-surface engineering has been recognized as an effective strategy for enhancing the intrinsic activities of the OER electrocatalysts. Herein, a facile quenching approach is demonstrated that can simultaneously enable the required surface metal doping and vacancy generation in reconfiguring the desired surface of the NiCo2 O4 catalyst, giving rise to greatly enhanced OER activities in both alkaline freshwater and seawater electrolytes. As a result, the quenched-engineered NiCo2 O4 nanowire electrode achieves a current density of 10 mA cm-2 at a low overpotential of 258 mV in 1 m KOH electrolyte, showing the remarkable catalytic performance towards OER. More impressively, the same electrode also displays extraordinary activity in an alkaline seawater environment and only needs 293 mV to reach 10 mA cm-2 . Density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal the strong electronic synergies among the metal cations in the quench-derived catalyst, where the metal doping regulates the electronic structure, thereby yielding near-optimal adsorption energies for OER intermediates and giving rise to superior activity. Myocardial infarction (MI) is a common cardiovascular disease characterized by an interruption of blood and oxygen supply to the heart, which results in gradual damage to the myocardial tissue and ultimately heart failure. The role of long non-coding RNAs in the pathology of MI remains in its infancy, but has been implicated in MI and other heart conditions. For example, the expression of a non-coding RNA hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF1A)-antisense RNA 2 (HIF1A-AS2) has previously been linked to coronary heart disease, however, whether HIF1A-AS2 expression is also high in MI has not been addressed. Here, we report that HIF1A-AS2 is upregulated in hypoxia-treated human cardiomyocytes (HMCs) compared with normal cardiomyocytes, and that silenced HIF1A-AS2 inhibited apoptosis and facilitated viability, migration, and invasion of HMCs. Our data suggested that in MI, HIF1A-AS2 upregulation was associated with miR-623, which promoted expression of tripartite motif containing 44 (TRIM44). Moreover, by upregulating TRIM44 we were able to remedy the HIF1A-AS2 repression of apoptosis in HMCs. Thus, we conclude that cardiomyocytes can be protected against hypoxic-treated injury by knockdown of HIF1A-AS2, which suppresses TRIM44, and that HIF1A-AS2 overexpression is a prognostic indicator of MI. more...

We investigated the association between serum uric acid (SUA) levels and insulin secretion and resistance in prediabetes patients, which is currently unclear.Our study population consisted of 11,523 representative patients from northwest China. It was divided into three groups based on the results of an oral glucose tolerance test: the non-diabetes group (n=3234), the impaired glucose regulation (IGR, prediabetes) group (n=2886), and the type-2 diabetes mellitus group (n=5403). SUA and 2-hour insulin (2h-Ins) levels were measured, and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) scores were computed. The association between SUA level and insulin secretion and resistance was assessedSUA and 2-hour insulin levels were highest in the IGR group in both men and women. After adjusting for multiple confounding risk factors, SUA levels significantly correlated with 2-hour insulin levels (odds ratio=1.700, 95% confidence interval=1.390, 2.080,SUA was positively associated with hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance in prediabetes patients in the retrospective study and is thus a potential risk factor for these conditions. more...

Low-cost, high-performance, and long-life cathode materials are highly desired for zinc ion hybrid supercapacitors (ZHSs). Here, an N, O co-doped two-dimensional (2D) carbon nanosheet material is successfully fabricated via a one-step combustion conversion of wood for the excellent usage as the cathode material in zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors. This novel combustion conversion synthesis with Zn(NO3)2·6H2O as oxidizer and urea as fuel can easily achieve the carbonization, pore-forming, and heteroatom doping within a one-step process. More interestingly, the resulting N, O co-doped porous carbon owns relatively uniform 2D sheet structure and very high specific surface area (1248 m2 g−1), which can not only provide short electric/ionic transfer path plus optimized wettability and conductivity for high power output, but also offer abundant interfacial active sites as well as improved ion adsorption capacity for high energy storage. Benefiting from these advantages, the ZHS based on this N, O co-doped 2D carbon nanosheets exhibits a superior specific capacity of 111.0 mAh g−1 at 0.1 A g−1, high rate capability of 57.6% capacity retention at a 30-fold higher current, and attractive energy density of 109.5 Wh kg−1 at 225 W kg−1. More gratifyingly, it displays ultralong cycling life with 92.7% capacity reservation after 50,000 charge and discharge cycles. Self-healing superhydrophobic surfaces have been fabricated by casting and drying water-soluble amphiphilic polymer suspensions at room temperature through thermal reconstruction. When compared with previous methods, this approach exploits modified natural hierarchical microstructures from wood instead of artificially constructing them for superhydrophobic morphology, which involves neither organic solvent nor inorganic particles nor complex procedures. The obtained superhydrophobic surface has acceptable resistance to abrasion. The surface can recover superhydrophobicity spontaneously at room temperature upon damage, which can be accelerated at a higher temperature. After depleting healing agents, the polymer suspension can be sprayed or cast onto wood surfaces to replenish healing agents and to restore self-healing ability. The superhydrophobic surface greatly increases the mold inhibition and water resistance of wood, which would prolong the service life of wood based materials. more...

Using random survival forest, this study was intended to evaluate the prognostic value of serum markers for lung adenocarcinoma patients with brain metastasis (BM), and tried to integrate them into a prognostic model. During 2010 to 2015, the patients were retrieved from two medical centers. Besides the Cox proportional hazards regression, the random survival forest (RSF) were also used to develop prognostic model from the group A (n = 142). In RSF of the group A, the factors, whose minimal depth were greater than the depth threshold or had a negative variable importance (VIMP), were firstly excluded. Subsequently, C-index and Akaike information criterion (AIC) were used to guide us finding models with higher prognostic ability and lower overfitting possibility. These RSF models, together with the Cox, modified-RPA and lung-GPA index were validated and compared, especially in the group B (CAMS, n = 53). Our data indicated that the KSE125 model (KPS, smoking, EGFR-20 (exon 18, 19 and 21) and Ca125) was the best in survival prediction, and performed well in internal and external validation. In conclusions, for lung adenocarcinoma patients with brain metastasis, a validated prognostic nomogram (KPS, smoking, EGFR-20 and Ca125) can more accurately predict 1-year and 2-year survival of the patients. more...

This study reports the structural transition of electrospun poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL)/poly[(propylmethacryl-heptaisobutyl-polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane)-co-(methyl meth-acrylate)] (POSS-MMA) blends, from PCL-rich fibers, to bicontinuous PCL core/POSS-MMA shell fibers, to POSS-MMA-rich fibers with a discontinuous PCL inner phase. A ternary phase diagram depicting the electrospinnability of PCL/POSS-MMA solutions is constructed by evaluating the morphological features of fibers electrospun from solutions with various concentrations and PCL/POSS-MMA blend ratios. X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry are further used to characterize the electrospun PCL/POSS-MMA hybrid fibers. These physicochemical characterization results are thoroughly discussed to understand the internal structures of the hybrid fibers, which are directly correlated to the phase separation behavior of the electrospun solutions. The performance of poly(ϵ-caprolactone) (PCL)-based biomaterials is defined by spatial distributions of PCL's amorphous and crystalline domains. Unfortunately, directly visualizing their inner architectures has been challenging. This study demonstrates, the superior degradation selectivity of Candida antarctica lipase B (CALB) enzyme; when used at low concentrations, it preferentially breaks down the amorphous chains prior to the crystalline chains. Top-down dissection using this enzyme is performed on several PCL-based systems. Self-assembled nanolamellae (e.g., thin films) or hierarchically nanostructured crystalline skeletons (e.g., fibers) are clearly captured. This review summarizes the new diagnostic methods used in clinical practice, such as imaging of structural abnormalities after TBI and measurement of prognosis-related biomarkers. This review also describes the cellular mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine in terms of intracellular signaling pathways, the extracellular microenvironment, and stem cells. This review concludes by describing experimental and clinical studies of the use of traditional Chinese medicine as a form of ACM to treat TBI. This study reports the facile preparation and the dye removal efficiency of nanohybrids composed of graphene oxide (GO) and Fe3O4 nanoparticles with various geometrical structures. In comparison to previously reported GO/Fe3O4 composites prepared through the one-pot, in situ deposition of Fe3O4 nanoparticles, the GO/Fe3O4 nanohybrids reported here were obtained by taking advantage of the physical affinities between sulfonated GO and Fe3O4 nanoparticles, which allows tuning the dimensions and geometries of Fe3O4 nanoparticles in order to decrease their contact area with GO, while still maintaining the magnetic properties of the nanohybrids for easy separation and adsorbent recycling. Both the as-prepared and regenerated nanohybrids demonstrate a nearly 100% removal rate for methylene blue and an impressively high removal rate for Rhodamine B. This study provides new insights into the facile and controllable industrial scale fabrication of safe and highly efficient GO-based adsorbents for dye or other organic pollutants in a wide range of environmental-related applications. more...

Surface pressure-induced crystallization of poly(epsilon-caprolactone) (PCL) from a metastable region of the surface pressure-area per monomer (Pi-A) isotherm in Langmuir monolayers at the air/water (A/W) interface has been captured in real time by Brewster angle microscopy (BAM). Morphological features of PCL crystals grown in Langmuir films during the compression process exhibit four fully developed faces and two distorted faces. During expansion of the crystallized film, polymer chains slowly detach from the crystalline domains and diffuse back into the monolayer as the crystals "melt". Typical diffusion-controlled morphologies are revealed by BAM during the melting process as the secondary dendrites melt away faster, that is, at a higher surface pressure than the principal axes. Electron diffraction on Langmuir-Schaefer films suggests that the lamellar crystals are oriented with the polymer chain axes perpendicular to the substrate surface, while atomic force microscopy reveals a crystal thickness of approximately 7.6 nm. more...
