Aim Systemic chemotherapy combining biological targeted therapies is the standard therapy for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), but effective markers are needed to identify clinical responders. Circulating tumour cells (CTCs) have been associated with prognosis in mCRC patients. This study aimed to explore the relationships between the CTC number and clinical response of patients with advanced CRC. Methods Epithelial cell adhesion molecule-independent enrichment and CD45- fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) immunofluorescence were used to detect peripheral blood CTCs in 79 patients with advanced CRC. Fisher's exact test and Spearman's rank correlation coefficient were used to analyze the correlation between the CTC number and efficacy of chemotherapy. Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analyses were used to evaluate progression-free survival (PFS). Results Among the evaluable patients, CTCs were significantly correlated with clinical response (r = 4.891; p = 0.031). High CTC numbers were associated with a poor treatment response (r = -0.250; p = 0.027). The dynamic decrease in CTC numbers was associated with clinical response (p = 0.046). High baseline CTC numbers and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) levels were prognostic factors for unfavourable PFS in multivariable analysis (HR = 3.30, p = 0.011 and HR = 2.04, p = 0.044, respectively). Compared with the CTC-positive group, the CTC-negative group showed superior PFS (median PFS time: 15.53 vs. 9.43 months; p = 0.041) among CRC patients receiving first-line treatment. Conclusion The CTC number is a feasible biomarker for predicting outcomes in mCRC patients receiving systemic chemotherapy.

China’s high-tech innovation and marketization efficiency still need to be optimized, which restricts the promotion of regional innovation and economic development. On such practical problem, this paper mainly focuses on improvement of high-tech efficiency of China, with the hope that the research can help to find ways to improve efficiency in both regions and industry development. Moreover, the impact on the high-tech innovation stage and the marketization stage are analyzed, in order to make clear the main problems in the complex process of high-tech innovation. This paper proposed the super-SBM model and the panel regression model. The conclusions are as follows. (1) The efficiency of high-tech innovation in China is improving, but there are great differences within regions. Therefore, the heterogeneous regional innovation context should be taken into consideration in the institutional management policies. (2) There is a significant positive correlation between government subsidies and R&D intensity in improving the high-tech innovation efficiency. Government needs to carry out appropriate policy guidance, increase financial support, and encourage high-tech enterprises to increase R&D investment. (3) Openness and better innovation environment play a positive role in the technology marketization stage; thus, the establishment of inter-regional cooperation or transnational relations is an effect way. Forming a better innovation environment can also help to enhance international high-technology cooperation and improve marketization efficiency.

To transinfect SD adipose tissue-derived stem cell (ADSC) in vitro with a recombinant adenoviral vector containing human B-domain-deleted FVIII (BDDhFⅧ), so as to lay the foundation for the treatment of hemophilia A by using ADSC combined with BDDhFⅧ gene.ADSCs were isolated from the inguinal adipose tissue of SD rats and passed to third passage for identification. Third passage ADSCs were transfected in vitro with recombinant adenovirus vector Ad-BDDhFⅧ-GFP. The experiments were divided into Ad-BDDhFⅧ-GFP-transfected ADSCs group (A), Ad-GFP-transfected ADSC group (B), and untransfected ADSC group (C). CCK-8 method was used to detect the proliferation of transfected cells in three groups, and the expression level of hFⅧ antigen in cell supernatant was detected by ELISA. RT-PCR and Western blot respectively were used to detect the mRNA and protein expression of BDDhFⅧ in the three groups after transfection.The growth curve of third passage cells isolated and cultured showed an inverted "S" shap; the flow cytometry detection showed the positive expression of CD29, CD90, CD44, and the negative expression of CD45 in third passage cells. After the adipogenic and osteogenic induction, the cells could transformed to adipogenic and osteogenic directions. CCK-8 detection showed that the proliferation of cells in 3 groups not was influenced. ELISA showed that the expression of hFⅧAg in group A was significantly higher than that in group B and C (P＜0.05). RT-PCR showed that compared with group A, there was no target band in B and C groups, and BDDhFⅧ gene was not expressed. The results in group A were consistent with the length of amplified fragments, and BDDhFⅧ target gene was expressed. Western blot analysis showed that the expression of hFⅧ protein in group A was significantly higher than that in group B and C. (P＜0.05).Recombinant adenovirus Ad-BDDhFⅧ-GFP can effectively transfect rat ADSC in vitro, which lays an experimental foundation for gene therapy of hemophilia A.腺病毒介导的B结构域缺失的人凝血因子Ⅷ在SD大鼠ADSC中的表达.将一含B结构域缺失的人凝血因子Ⅷ的重组腺病毒载体体外转染SD大鼠脂肪干细胞（adipose tissue-derived stem cell, ADSC），为ADSC联合BDDhFⅧ基因治疗血友病A奠定实验基础.取SD大鼠2侧腹股沟脂肪组织分离培养ADSC，传至第3代并进行鉴定；用重组腺病毒载体Ad-BDDhFⅧ-GFP体外感染第3代ADSC，实验分为Ad-BDDhFⅧ-GFP转染ADSC（A组）、Ad-GFP转染ADSC（B组）及未转染ADSC（C组）3组，采用CCK-8法检测3组感染后细胞增殖情况，ELISA法检测细胞上清中hFⅧ抗原表达水平，RT-PCR及Western blot分别检测感染后3组细胞内BDDhFⅧ基因和蛋白表达情况.经鉴定分离培养的第3代细胞生长曲线呈倒“S”形；流式细胞术检测显示，第3代细胞CD29、CD90、CD44表达阳性、CD45表达阴性；经成脂及成骨诱导后可向成骨及成脂方向转化。CCK-8检测显示，转染后3组细胞的增殖未受影响。ELISA结果显示，转染后3组细胞在72 h A组hFⅧAg表达较B、C组明显升高（P＜0.05）。RT-PCR结果显示，与A组相比，B、C组未见任何目的条带，无BDDhFⅧ目的基因表达；A组结果与扩增片段长度相符，有BDDhFⅧ目的基因表达。Western blot检测显示，A组hFⅧ蛋白表达水平较B、C组明显升高（P＜0.05）.重组腺病毒Ad-BDDhFⅧ-GFP在体外可高效转染大鼠ADSC，为血友病A的基因治疗奠定了实验基础.

A series of honeycombed holmium-modified Fe-Mn/TiO2 catalysts were prepared by moulding method and their performance in the low temperature selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx was investigated. The forming process was optimized as: the mass content of water in the forming additives is 40%, in which 10% structure strengthening agent (glass fiber), 5% binder (carboxymethyl cellulose), 10% squeezing agent (glycerin), 5% pore-forming agent (activated carbon) and a little lubricants (liquid paraffin) are added. The honeycombed Fe-Ho-Mn/TiO2 catalyst prepared under these conditions exhibits excellent performance in the low-temperature SCR of NOx; the conversion of NOx exceeds 90% at 120°C and a good resistance to SO2 and H2O is observed when the content of SO2 in the stream is lower than 0.02%. The characterization results indicated that in comparison with the parent powder holmium-modified Fe-Ho-Mn/TiO2 catalyst, the honeycombed catalyst exhibits lower surface area, more particle aggregation, and less acid sites and Mn4+ species on the surface, which has a certain negative influence on the catalytic performance of Fe-Ho-Mn/TiO2.

Fibronectin 1 (FN1) is involved in cell adhesion and migration processes including embryogenesis, wound healing, blood coagulation, host defense, metastasis, and implicated in various biochemical processes. However, its effects on the development and progression of human cancer, especially colorectal cancer (CRC), are unclear. To evaluate the relationship between the expression of FN1 and the histopathologic parameters of patients with CRC or the proliferation, migration, and invasion of colorectal cancer cell lines, we screened FN1 as a new candidate gene which promotes development of CRC, in an independent dataset (The Human Protein Atlas website). Here, we reported that FN1 was elevated in CRC tissues compared with normal colon tissues. Further, FN1 expression level was correlated with age, lymph vascular invasion, and survival rate. Knockdown of FN1 in two CRC cell lines, LOVO, and SW1116, significantly inhibited cell proliferation, migration and invasion, and induced cell apoptosis. Western blot analysis showed that down-regulation of FN1 significantly decreased the expression of Bcl-2, MMP-9, Twist, and increased the expression of Bax, Caspase-3, and E-cadherin in LOVO and SW1116 cells. Then, we found that the protein ITGA5 was identified as a binding partner of FN1 and ITGA5 overexpression reversed FN1-induced tumorigenesis of CRC in vitro. Taken together, FN1 suppressed apoptosis and promoted viability, invasion, and migration in CRC through interacting with ITGA5. FN1 may be a prognostic factor and potential target for CRC treatment.

While recent research on temporary clusters and temporary markets has emphasized the knowledge generation processes associated with trade fairs, little is known about the knowledge exchanges that are embedded in market relations at these events. This paper uses the case of the Canton Fair in Guangzhou, the largest trade fair in China, to illustrate that such events do not operate as a single market, but that they generate multiple dynamic market configurations, which entail different flows of knowledge, goods and people. In a typical case study, four types of market configurations are identified that simultaneously develop at this event. The findings contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of market relations, knowledge and transactions in temporary spatial settings.

Novel highly-efficient low-temperature SCR catalysts were developed through modifying Fe-Mn/TiO 2 catalyst with holmium (Ho). It was found that Ho/Ti = 0.1 was the optimal molar ratio for the amount of Ho addition. With this ratio, 85% NO x conversion was obtained at 60 °C and the catalytic performance enhanced to 90% at 120 °C. The optimal catalyst presented a broad operating temperature window in the range of 60–200 °C and exhibited superior sulfur-poisoning resistance, while the further increase of the doped Ho did not have a positive effect on the catalytic performance and structural properties.

The serials of blue phosphors, CaAl2Si2O8: Eu2+ doped with different content Sr2+ and Mg2+ ions, were prepared by solid-state reaction at high temperature. And their structure and photo-luminescent properties were investigated. In Ca0.96-ySryAl2Si2O8: 0.04Eu2+ (y = 0.10, 0.30, 0.50, 0.70, 0.90) system, for y ≦ 0.03, all the compositions crystallize in triclinic structure of CaAl2Si2O8, and on further increase of y, the system undergoes a compositionally induced phase transition from triclinic to monoclinic structure. For Ca0.96-yMgyAl2Si2O8: 0.04Eu2+ (y = 0.10, 0.30, 0.50, 0.70, 0.90) system, for z ≦ 0.03, all the compositions are of triclinic structure of CaAl2Si2O8. With the further increase of z, other phase appears. The emission spectra of these phosphors show blue shift with the introduction of Sr2+ ions, and red shift with Mg2+ ions. The reason may be due to the difference ionic radii of Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+. These phosphors show excellent blue emission and broad excitation band in near-UV (ultraviolet) range. They may be potential phosphors for near-UV light-emitting diodes (LEDs).

The phosphors SrAl2Si2O8 doped with different Eu2+ concentration were prepared by solid-state reaction technique, and their photoluminescent properties at different temperature were investigated. With the increase of Eu2+ content, two emission bands can be observed and this can be interpreted as Eu2+ ions occupying two types of sites in the crystal lattice. And their lifetime is decreasing, this result can be due to energy transfer among Eu2+ ions nonradiately at higher concentration of Eu2+ ions in the host lattices. The phosphor SrAl2Si2O8:0.40Eu shares intense blue emitting with broad excitation in the near-UV range. This phosphor may be an excellent blue phosphor for near ultraviolet InGaN-based white diodes.

Cubic Y2O3:Eu3+ was successfully prepared by mimicking wood tissue of Nepal Alder. Its structure was characterized by X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD) and Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The results show that the sample shares the single phase of cubic structure. The composition analysis shows an approximate Y3+ to Eu3+ atom ratio of about 10:1. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images confirm that the sample shares the same shape as the wood tissue of Nepal Alder, which was composed of some thin fibers. The red phosphor exhibits strong red emission of the 5D0 → 7F2 transition for Eu3+ at 611 nm, under 254 nm excitation

To establish a highly sensitive and specific dual-color fluorescence in situ hybridization (D-FISH) method used for chromosomal localization of foreign genes in double transgenic mice.Two strains of double transgenic mice were used in this experiment, one was integrated with the herpes simplex virus thymidine kinase (HSV-tk) and the enhanced green fluorescence protein (eGFP), the other was with the short hairpin RNA interference(RNAi) and beta(654). Splenic cells cultured in vitro were arrested in metaphase by colchicine and hybridized with digoxigenin-labeled and biotinylated DNA probes, then detected by rhodamine-conjugated avidin and FITC-conjugated anti-digoxigenin.Dual-color fluorescence signals were detected on the same metaphase in both transgenic mice strains. In HSV-tk/eGFP double transgenic mice, strong green fluorescence for HSV-tk and red for eGFP were observed and localized at 2E5-G3 and 8A2-A4 respectively. In beta(654)/RNAi mice, beta(654) was detected as red fluorescence on chromosome 7D3-E2, and RNAi showed random integration on chromosomes. It was detected as green fluorescence on chromosome 12B1 in one mouse, while on 1E2.3-1F and 3A3 in the other.Highly sensitive and specific D-FISH method was established using the self-prepared DNA probes, and chromosomal localization of the foreign genes was also performed in combination with G-banding in double transgenic mice. This technology will facilitate the researches in transgenic animals and gene therapy models.

Portions of 16 chromosome 21 NotI linking clones were sequenced. These linking clone sequences represent sequence-tagged restriction sites that are potentially useful for finding genes and for finer genome mapping and sequencing. All of the clones were G+C rich (54 to 83%). CpG and GpC dinucleotide frequencies were very close to the expected values based on base composition and were very similar in 15 of the clones. Most of the NotI linking clones were derived from CpG islands, which are often associated with genes. Five NotI linking clones had a high potential for coding regions; 7 additional clones may also contain coding regions. The NotI linking clones had many short homologous regions, but no extensive homologies either with each other or with GenBank sequences.

— When moving images are displayed on color plasma displays, motional artifacts such as dynamic false contours with disturbances of gray scales and colors are often observed. Reduction of the disturbances is essential to achieve PDPs with acceptable picture quality for TV use. The moving-picture quality can be improved to some extent by using an equalizing-pulse technique which augments or suppresses light-emission to compensate for the lack or surplus from the original signal. The disturbances, however, become significant as the speed of motion increases. In order to reduce the disturbances, the equalizing pulses are weighted according to the speed and direction of motion. The improvement can be enhanced further by combining the technique with a modified-binary-coded light-emission-period scheme. Disturbance is thus reduced by 82 dB. The technique is applicable to images moving at any speed in any direction. It can also be used for any pixel arrangement and any light-emission scheme.
