Today our society needs intelligent and creative people more than ever and in the current situation, the matter of the creativity is one of the most important issues that needs to be addressed, therefore the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the ways of fostering creativity among 3-6-years-old preschool children. The context of this research includes all of the available written and digital sources related to the ways of fostering creativity that are appropriate for pre-school age. In order to review and analyze the planned studies and approaches regarding ways of fostering creativity, an integrative method (synthesis studies) was used. The instrument for collecting data was receiving and collecting 100 articles from information data base and the method of data analysis was through subject decoding. The results of data analysis showed that creative techniques for children can be classified into three categories: techniques of individual creativity, techniques of group creativity, techniques group-individual creativity. And one of the most important findings of this research is the design of pattern on the basis of creativity techniques during pre-school period.

Learning critical thinking skills are the goal of educational systems so the term "critical thinking" (CT) is frequently found in educational policy documents. Despite this frequency, however, precise understandings among teachers of what CT really means do not exit. The present study is designed to answer the following question. We can classify critical thinking concept in a conceptual framework. A qualitative content analysis with deductive categorization was used to classify critical thinking concept in a conceptual framework. The research field (statistical population) included all available digital and written sources related to critical thinking. The Research sample was a purposeful homogeneous sample. It is used to describe the sample that includes information based on the qualitative research goals. The results showed that critical thinking concept could be investigated in fields of both psychology and philosophy. While philosophers emphasis on the nature and quality of critical thinking, psychologists focus on cognitive process and components used to investigate the practical problems. So philosophers emphasize critical thinking attitudes while psychologists focus on critical thinking skills.

As the inevitable process of the 21st century, globalization has affected and altered all aspects of human life including education. Therefore, one of the main tasks of any education system is to identify the features and impacts of such process. Thus, the present study was conducted aiming to discuss and examine global citizenship education and its implications for curriculum goals. This study is firstly defining global citizenship education concept as well as its significance and necessity and then it is going to explain global citizenship education concept and its purposes and implications for curriculum goals. This is an analytical research. The results indicate that global citizen holds peculiar features and requires special education in global aspects. Accordingly, the citizenship education compatible with global standards requires an overview of curriculum goals as one of the most important components of education system.

Objective: This study was intended to demonstrate the applicability of the hackathon in idea generation for managing emergencies and disasters with a particular focus on flash floods. Methods: A 4-day hackathon event was held, having 60 students, 9 mentors and 6 judges gathered to explore different ideas, and to solve problems of Iran flooding from mid-March to April, 2019. Of these, 10 teams with 6 students were accordingly formed to brainstorm and discuss the idea, while 9 mentors offered advice and guided them to manage their ideas. Then, all teams focused on designing their business models. Finally, the hackathon teams finalized their lean canvas and presented their ideas to the judging panel and the other participants. Results: A total of 10 ideas were presented, and based on the knowledge and experience of the judges, 3 ideas that were more practical and useful were selected. Conclusions: As participants in a hackathon identify and present real-world problems, while ensuring that the prototype solutions address the end-user's needs, it could be used to drive innovation, generate ideas, promote change in emergencies and disasters, and can increase our preparedness for future events. Background: The identification of elderly at risk of new functional disabilities in activities of daily living at admission to the hospital may facilitate referral for purposive interventions to prevent decline and institutionalization. This study was aimed at designing a risk prediction model for identifying the elderly at risk of admission in Iran's hospitals. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional descriptive study conducted in 2017. In order to formulate and validate a prediction model, the study was done in two development and validation cohort study. Functional decline was defined as a decline of at least one point on the Katz ADL index at follow-up compared with preadmission status. Results: In development cohort, the mean age was 71 years including 54% of men and 46% women, 22% of men and 17% of women experienced functional decline after 3 months. In the validation cohort, the mean age was 70 years, including 49% of men and 51% women, 19% of men and 15% of women, functional decline after 3 months was observed. Conclusion: On the basis of the findings, aging at risk of hospital admission can be identified by easy designed model with four questions: (1) Is the patient's age more than 85 years? (2) Does the patient's mini mental status <22? (3) Does the patient need help for using general transporting? (4) Has the patient lost weight <5% over the past 6 months and body mass index <18.5? And also geriatrics experts can use the designed model as a predictive tool in order to improve the quality level of healthcare services to elderly as a vulnerable and high risk group. The assessment of staff resilience at work and the following assessment of the effectiveness of interventions aimed at increasing the resilience of the employees requires valid and reliable instruments. The purpose of this systematic review was assessing the psychometric properties of workplace resilience measurement scales. Four electronic databases including PUBMED, Web of Science, SCOPUS, and Google Scholar were searched using keyword "resilience" combined with "instruments," "tool," "inventory," "questionnaire," "scale," "workplace," "staff," and "occupational" with Boolean operators OR and AND. Two of the authors, independently, assessed the process of data gathering and the quality of psychometric properties of the tools using Terwee et al. (2007) study. We found 11 instruments, none of which covered all aspects of psychometric properties of the Terwee criteria. Because of the recent development of many of the staff resilience assessment instruments, it seems they need more time to be assessed properly. Besides, due to the different nature of different occupations, and differing cultures and backgrounds, there is a need for the development of the staff resilience at workplace assessment instruments convenient for the local needs. Inclusion criteria were assessments of real patient flows and implementing strategies inside the hospitals. In this study, we discussed strategies of team triage, point-of-care testing, ideal ED patient journey models, streaming, and fast track. Patients might be directed to different streaming channels depending on clinical status and required practitioners. The most comprehensive strategy is ideal ED patient journey models, in which ten interrelated substrategies are provided. Background: In Isfahan, the second metropolitan in Iran, there are 1448 dentistry treatment centers that most of them are inefficient. Today, efficiency is the most important issue in health care centers as well as dentistry clinics. The goal of this research is to investigate the affordability and efficiency of dentistry clinics in Isfahan province, Iran. Methods: The current work is a quantitative research, designed in three methodological steps, including two surveys and experimental studies, for understanding current deficiencies of Iranian dentistry clinics. First, we ran a survey. Then, we analyzed the results of the questionnaires which guided us to find a particular intervening package to improve the efficiency of the clinics. At the second step, we chose an inefficient clinic named Mohtasham (Iran, Isfahan) to evaluate our intervening package. Results: Based on what the interviewees answered, we mention the most important issues to be considered for improving the efficiency of dental clinics in Isfahan. By considering mentioned problematic issues, an intervening package was designed. This intervening package was applied in Mohtasham clinic, since June 2010. It improved the clinic's income from 16328 US$ with 4125 clients in 2010, to 420,000 US$ with 14784 patients in 2012. Conclusions: The proposed intervening package changed this clinic to an efficient and economic one. Its income increased 5.08 times and its patient's numbers grew 4.01 times simultaneously. In other words, Mohtasham's experience demonstrates the reliability of the package and its potentiality to be applied in macro level to improve other dentistry clinics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Clinical risk management focuses on improving the quality and safety of health care services by identifying the circumstances and opportunities that put patients at risk of harm and acting to prevent or control those risks. The goal of this study is to identify and assess the failure modes in the ICU of Qazvin's Social Security Hospital (Razi Hospital) through Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Methods: This was a qualitative-quantitative research by Focus Discussion Group (FDG) performed in Qazvin Province, Iran during 2011. The study population included all individuals and owners who are familiar with the process in ICU. Sampling method was purposeful and the FDG group members were selected by the researcher. The research instrument was standard worksheet that has been used by several researchers. Data was analyzed by FMEA technique. Results: Forty eight clinical errors and failure modes identified, results showed that the highest risk probability number (RPN) was in respiratory care "Ventilator's alarm malfunction (no alarm)" with the score 288, and the lowest was in gastrointestinal "not washing the NG-Tube" with the score 8. Conclusions: Many of the identified errors can be prevented by group members. Clinical risk assessment and management is the key to delivery of effective health care. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim of research was to reduce waiting time at ED. Population includes the patients who received services in ED. The arrival and service times in different stations were collected for 663 patients. For data analysis, SPSS and simulation technique were used. Results shows that add one intern to the Ear Nose Throat (ENT) service makes the most reduction on the waiting time from 112.19 to 99.24 minutes. Background: There have been criticisms that local authorities develop disaster planning independently, which led to less sensitiveness and responsibility of community-based organizations (CBOs). Disasters planning should incorporate into CBOs' management processes. This study aims to set goals of a community-based plan based on preparedness capacities that CBOs need to have in the COVID-19 pandemic., Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study used a prevalidated and reliable questionnaire assessing (CBOs). The tool assesses preparedness in the field of planning, training, and infrastructure. Forty CBOs met the inclusion criteria as assisting or cooperating agencies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Then, key informants, who simultaneously have been working in the health system and CBOs, prioritized low-scale items that have shown capacity gaps according to effects on the vulnerable group, sustainability, and capability of the health system. Descriptive statistics performed using SPSS18 software (SPSS Inc., Chicago, USA)., Results: The results showed that the preparedness of CBOs was weak in the field of planning, training, and infrastructure. Besides, overlaps of CBOs' resources and covering the clients' medical needs in the COVID-19 pandemic were the most priority that needs to be intervened., Conclusion: Providing medical needs by CBOs require legal legitimacy assigned by health authority, especially in epidemic-prone diseases. In addition, assigning a coordinator to set a priority list and mutual agreements authoried by health departments can solve the problem of overlapped resources.
