Parallax barrier based autostereoscopic display is usually impaired by moire fringe and crosstalk.By using slanted parallax barrier,the moire fringes could be obviously eliminated,but often at the expense of serious image crosstalk.This paper presents a kind of zigzag staggered barrier which can reduce the moire fringe with little impact on the stereo viewing zones.The slits are divided into sections and the adjacent two jagged-edged sections are separated horizontally at a certain distance.This method can reduce the proportion of the perceived black matrix seen through the same slit,which increasing the brightness of the dark part of the moire fringe.In this way widen and weakened moire fringes are acquired.The simulated results show that the minimum perceived moire fringes' brightness decreases by 108.1% and the viewing zones decreases by 32.8% compared with the vertical parallax barrier.And it has higher practical value for autostereoscopic display.

In order to cut down the power consumption of LCD backlight and maintain the image quality,a modulation algorithm based on hierarchical tone mapping for LED backlight is proposed.The image is layered by the low pass filter,then sent to the brightness logarithmic mapping function to map the low-frequency part to a lower dynamic range,and finally combined with the gained high-frequency part for outputting.Using the numerical value to which the maximum gray-scale of the image can increase as the value of number of the LED backlight factor that can be lowered,dynamic backlight scaling techniques are adopted to reduce the backlight intensity,improve the transmittance of LCD and compensate its brightness.Simulation results show that power consumption is reduced by 15.0% and 34.0% when the distortion rate is at 4.8% and 15.6% respectively.

In the volumetric 3D system based on rotating LED panel,voxels present an uneven distribution of being dense inside and sparse outside in the horizontal position.An improved method for uniformity optimization is proposed in this paper,which includes loa-ding a default dot matrix template in the voxels' distribution picture and preserving voxels nearest to the dots to make the voxels' distribution similar to the template.In the optimization,the average distance and the maximum distance between the dot and its nearest voxel are used to measure optimization effect.Considering the system's need for optimization effect and the restricted relationship between the number of two-dimensional slices and the LED column spacing,the number and spacing are calculated,and finally the column spacing that uses the smallest amount of LED and its corresponding number of slices are chosen.
