Constructivism serves as a basic theory in education, and plays an important role, because this perspective views learning as a dynamic process in which students actively participate in constructing their knowledge. So, this research aims to produce a virtual laboratory that is valid and effective in developing constructivist thinking. This research and development use the Ploom approach which consists of initial investigation, design, construction/realization, testing, evaluation, revision, and implementation. Thirty-two electrical engineering students from Padang State University participated in this research. The instruments used are validity instruments and constructivism assessment tools. The research results show that the Proteus-based virtual laboratory developed is valid and effective in fostering constructivist thinking in electrical measurement practice. This study contributes to the advancement of virtual laboratories in educational settings, emphasizing the importance of constructivist pedagogy for meaningful and engaging learning experiences in the field of electrical engineering. The results of this research open opportunities for further research regarding the exploration of artificial intelligence to improve constructivism through virtual laboratories. The evaluation and analysis of the practicality of Android-based courseware in enhancing vocational students' understanding of electrical circuits (EC) is the primary focus of this research. A quantitative survey-based research approach was employed, utilizing the Practicality Assessment Instrument to evaluate the practicality level of the Android-based courseware among students. The collected data will undergo statistical analysis using descriptive analysis techniques. The practicality assessment results for each aspect will be calculated as a percentage and grouped into various categories. The findings reveal a high practicality level across different aspects, namely 90.19% for Availability and Accessibility, 89.88% for Performance and Responsiveness, 86.96% for Content Compatibility and Completeness, and 90.06% for Functionality and Resource Utilization. These outcomes demonstrate that the Android-based courseware serves as a highly practical learning medium for enhancing the understanding of electrical circuits. The integration of Android-based technology in the educational environment has proven to be effective and beneficial. These findings offer valuable insights for educators, instructional designers, and stakeholders to enhance modern learning environments. Future research can further investigate the impact of Android-based courseware on learning outcomes and explore additional practical dimensions to comprehensively evaluate its effectiveness. Virtual Laboratory (VL) is increasingly being used in the learning process, offering a variety of options. However, when choosing the appropriate type of VL, it is necessary to consider the factors that affect the successful implementation of the VL. This study discusses the factor analysis that affects the vocational students' intention to use a VL in remote learning. Based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Perceived Ease of Use (PEU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), and Attitude towards VL (A) are factors that influence people's intention to use technology. This research was conducted on the learning process of the Power Electronics Practicum for Vocational students. This study involved 105 vocational students from the Industrial Electrical Engineering Study Program at Universitas Negeri Padang. A quantitative survey-based approach using a questionnaire was applied to obtain the research data. The research data was analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that all factors (PEU, PU, & A) had a significant and positive direct and indirect effect (through intervening variables) on the vocational students' intention to use VL to support remote learning. This research aims to determine work willingness after industrial placement of XII-grade students in the study program of electrical power installation engineering (TITL) at VHS 5 Padang. The method uses a quantitative descriptive approach using the similarity of the terms cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The results of this research indicate the work will of 31 students is likely to be more interested in entering higher education or entrepreneurship. The Data shows that students' work willingness is in the excellent category with a percentage of 55%. It means that 45% of students graduating from 2021-2022 are not ready to work. Even though coal resources are the most abundant among fossil fuels, coal-fired plants release large amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. In this regard, reducing environmental challenges and crises caused by coal burning can be a promising option to reduce today's crises in the energy field. The integration of coal-fired plants with renewable-driven energy systems can simultaneously improve thermodynamic performance and reduce pollutants emission rates. This article presents the thermodynamic and pollutant emission investigations of a new coal-fired plant coupled with a linear Fresnel solar collector (LFSC)-driven solar unit, a parabolic trough solar collector (PTSC)-driven solar unit, a high-temperature fuel cell stack (molten carbonate fuel cell stack [MCFCS]) and a heat recovery system (based on the steam turbine and gas turbine-based power cycles). The plant is able to produce electricity and hot water (HW). The main structure of the offered plant is based on coal, whereas, is coupled with renewables-based cycles to mitigate environmental impacts. The plant could generate ~ 207 MW of power and 3728 m3/h of HW. In such conditions, the energy efficiency of 73.1% and exergy efficiency of 44.18% could be achievable. Further, the emitted gas rates of the plant were nearly 403 tons/h. A comprehensive comparison is also presented for the plant's behavior under different types of coal (petcoke and anthracite). In addition, a two-function optimization is developed to determine the maximum value of exergy efficiency and the minimum value of total pollutants emission rate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
