In recent years, in the context of the continuous development of 5G networks, the construction of mobile communication mobile base stations is extremely important for the overall network environment construction in my country. The sites in the objective function are planned multiple times through the immune genetic algorithm, and finally the optimal site is re-planned and the weak coverage points are clustered.

Accurate measurement of low-level thoron gas and high-accuracy calibration of thoron measurement devices are essential for assessing and preventing thoron radiological risks. This study aimed to develop a thoron gas measurement technique using an airflow-through scintillation cell for both low-level measurement and high-accuracy calibration. To achieve this, a compartment model was developed to estimate the influence of progeny deposition and accumulation on the wall of the scintillation cell to prevent overestimation of thoron. A self-developed scintillation cell was utilized to implement and validate this technique. The lower detection limit and measurement uncertainty were then evaluated to assess the feasibility of the technique for low-level measurement and high-accuracy calibration. The results showed that the compartment model effectively addressed the influence of the progeny deposition. The measurement technique achieved a lower detection limit below 100 Bq m-3 even with the coexistence of 100 Bq m-3 of radon and attained a measurement uncertainty (k = 2) below 10% when the concentration of thoron exceeded 1,000 Bq m-3. In summary, this study developed a reliable and practical thoron gas measurement technique using an airflow-through scintillation cell with consideration for progeny deposition, and is expected to contribute to the assessment and prevention of thoron radiological risk.

The existence of cancer stem cells (CSCs) is closely related to tumor recurrence, metastasis, and resistance to chemoradiotherapy. In addition, given the unique physical and biological advantages of charged particle, we hypothesized that charged particle irradiation would produce strong killing effects on CSCs. The purpose of our systematic review is to evaluate the biological effects of CSCs irradiated by charged particle, including proliferation, invasion, migration, and changes in the molecular level.We searched PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science until 17 march 2022 according to the key words. Included studies have to be vitro studies of CSCs irradiated by charged particle. Outcomes included one or more of radiation sensitivity, proliferation, metastasis, invasion, and molecular level changes, like DNA damage after been irradiated.Eighteen studies were included in the final analysis. The 18 articles include 12-carbon ion irradiation, 4-proton irradiation, 1 α-particle irradiation, 1-carbon ion combine proton irradiation.Through the extraction and analysis of data, we came to this conclusion: CSCs have obvious radio-resistance compared with non-CSCs, and charged particle irradiation or in combination with drugs could overcome this resistance, specifically manifested in inhibiting CSCs' proliferation, invasion, migration, and causing more and harder to repair DNA double-stranded breaks (DSB) of CSCs.

The current mobile communications could not satisfy the explosive data requirement of users. This paper reviews the frontier technology of software definition networks (SDN) of 5G and 6G, including system architecture, resource management, mobility management, interference management, challenges, and open issues. First of all, the system architectures of 5G and 6G mobile networks are introduced based on SDN technologies. Then typical SDN-5G/6G application scenarios and key issues are discussed. We also focus on mobility management approaches in mobile networks. Besides, three types of mobility management mechanism in software defined 5G/6G are described and compared. We then summarize the current interference management techniques in wireless cellular networks. Next, we provide a brief survey of interference management method in SDN-5G/6G. Additionally, considering the challenges, we discuss mm-Wave spectrum, un-availability of popular channel model, massive MIMO, low latency and QoE, energy efficiency, scalability, mobility and routing, inter operability, standardization and security for software defined 5G/6G networks.

Patients and methods: A literature search was done for studies comparing clinical outcomes between taxane-based and FP chemotherapy in EC. This study aims to examine factors influencing users’ psychological reactance to Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. We defined and categorized psychological reactance into cognitive reactance and emotional reactance. Built on concepts and theories on technology readiness, technology acceptance model and privacy concerns, we developed a comprehensive model explaining factors influencing users’ cognitive and emotional reactance to AI applications. An online survey was used to collect data. The results of data analysis show that users’ insecurity, perceived usefulness, subjective norm and privacy concerns significantly affect their cognitive reactance; discomfort and privacy concerns significantly affect emotional reactance; and users’ psychological reactance significantly affects their attitude towards AI applications.

Our retrospective study assessed the efficacy and safety of irinotecan plus raltitrexed in esophageal squamous cell cancer (ESCC) patients who were previously treated with multiple systemic therapies. Between January 2016 and December 2018, records of 38 ESCC patients who underwent irinotecan plus raltitrexed chemotherapy after at least one line of chemotherapy were reviewed. Efficacy assessment was performed every two cycles according to the RECIST version 1.1. A total of 95 cycles of chemotherapy were administered, and the median course was 3 (range 2-6). There was no treatment-related death. Nine patients had partial response, 21 had stable disease and eight had progressive disease. The overall objective response rate was 23.68% (9/38) and the disease control rate was78.94% (30/38). After a median follow-up of 18.5 months, the median progression-free survival and overall survival were 105 and 221 days, respectively. There were five patients (13.15%) with grade 3/4 leukopenia, three patients (7.89%) with grade 3/4 neutropenia and one patient (2.63%) with grade 3/4 diarrhea. The combination of irinotecan plus raltitrexed was effective for pretreated ESCC patients. Further studies are needed to determine the optimal dose of the two drugs. Six purified diets were formulated to contain three lipid sources, fish oil (FO), linseed oil (LO) and soybean oil (SO), at 6% diet lipid crossing two levels of vitamin E (100 and 300 mg α‐tocopheryl acetate/kg diet) for each lipid source (FO100, FO300, LO100, LO300, SO100, SO300). The juvenile Chinese mitten crab, Eriocheir sinensis, respectively, fed on these diets with four replicates for 6 weeks. The crab weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) were significantly affected by dietary lipid sources. No difference was found between the crabs fed two levels of vitamin E, but the WG and SGR were numerically higher in crab fed 300 mg/kg vitamin E than those fed the other level of vitamin E. The lipid source and vitamin E level could affect fatty acid composition in the hepatopancreas. The contents of saturated fatty acids (SAFA) and n‐3HUFA were significantly higher in the crab‐fed fish oil. The highest contents of n‐6PUFA and n‐3PUFA were found in the crab‐fed soybean oil and linseed oil respectively. The contents of SAFA, n‐3HUFA and n‐3PUFA were higher in the 300 mg/kg vitamin E treatment. A lower malondialdehyde (MDA) content and higher phenoloxidase (PO) activity were observed in the crab fed 300 mg/kg vitamin E. The results of this study indicate that the Chinese mitten crab fed the diet with 6% fish oil and 300 mg/kg vitamin E showed better growth, antioxidant capacity and resistance to Aeromonas hydrophila.

Uranium in environmental water is usually at trace or ultra-trace levels with high concentrations of background ions so that the detection of uranium often couples with pretreatment processes to lower the detection limit, and improve the selectivity and accuracy of instruments. A simple, green, effective and efficient anion exchange pretreatment method was proposed to favor the determination of low-level uranium in natural environmental water samples. To determine the applicability and obtain the optimum operating parameters, the effects of coprecipitation, pH, contact time, uranium concentration, background ions, eluent and the flow speed on the uranium recovery were investigated. The experimental results showed that the proper addition of saturated Na2CO3 solution for pH adjustment did not lead to uranium loss in natural water samples, and the optimum pH value for adsorption was determined from 6 to 8. Objective Peripherally inserted central venous catheter (PICC)-related thrombosis (PRT) is a serious complication that can lead to interruptions in chemotherapy and other supportive care, as well as increased hospital stay and costs. We conducted a retrospective study to evaluate the patterns of symptomatic PRT in patients with cancer undergoing chemotherapy and their risk factors. Methods A retrospective study of 938 PICC patients from our institution between November 2014 and July 2017 was performed. Symptomatic PRT events were confirmed by color Doppler ultrasonography or computed tomography pulmonary angiography in the presence of clinical symptoms. The variables of interest were extracted from the electronic medical record system. Logistic regression analysis was used to determine the risk factors for PRT. Results Of the 938 patients who were followed up for more than 120,000 patient-days, 63 patients (6.7%; 0.51 per 1000 catheter-days) had symptomatic PRT. Sixty-one patients were diagnosed with upper extremity venous thrombosis (UEVT), of which 18 were isolated superficial vein thrombosis (SVT), 19 were isolated deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and 24 were extensive venous thrombosis (EVT). Two patients were diagnosed with pulmonary embolism, and two patients were diagnosed with UEVT with pulmonary embolism. The symptomatic SVT occurred in 42 of 938 patients with cancer (4.5%), which accounted for 68.9% of all UEVT events. The median time to PRT was 21 days, and the median time to catheter removal in the PRT group was 66 days as compared with 117 days in the no PRT group. Predictors associated with increased risk of PRT were age >60 years (odds ratio [OR], 2.142; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.118-4.103) and a chemotherapy regimen containing fluorouracil (OR, 2.429; 95% CI, 1.013-5.825). Hypertension with medication was a protective factor for PRT (OR, 0.306; 95% CI, 0.113-0.828). Among the 28 patients who did not remove their PICCs immediately after PRT was diagnosed, patients with SVT, DVT, and EVT had similar success rates of retaining catheters in situ after anticoagulant therapy (SVT, 83.3%; DVT, 62.5%; EVT, 75.0%; P = .667). Conclusions Age >60 years and chemotherapy regimens containing fluorouracil were independent risk factors for PRT and hypertension with medication was associated with a lower risk of PRT in patients with cancer with PICCs receiving chemotherapy. PICCs-related SVT was a frequent type of PRT, which might need a better understanding and anticoagulant therapy in patients with cancer with PICCs.

To explore the effect of Parkinson's syndrome on the survival of prosthesis after primary hip arthroplasty in elderly patients with femoral neck fracture. Methods: A total of 81 elderly patients (81 hips) with femoral neck fracture and primary hip replacement surgery, who came from the Department of Orthopaedics, Central Hospital of Xiangtan City from January 1, 2009 to December 30, 2010, were retrospectively analyzed, including 36 males and 45 females. Sixteen patients with Parkinson's syndrome were selected as a Parkinson's syndrome group, and the other 65 patients were served as a control group. The survival status of the prosthesis was followed up to December 30, 2017 and it was compared between the 2 groups (average follow-up was 7.5 years). Results: During the follow-up period, 5 patients in the Parkinson's group underwent revision of the hip joint, and the reasons for revision were periprosthetic fracture in 4 patients and aseptic loosening in 1 patient, but there was no dislocation or infection. There were 7 cases of revision in the control group, including 1 case of infection, 4 cases of aseptic loosening, 1 case of periprosthetic fracture, and 1 case of dislocation. In the follow-up period, the revision rate was 31.2% in the Parkinson's group and 10.8% in the control group (P0.05). Parkinsonism was a risk factor for hip revision (OR=3.77, 95% CI 1.12 to 3.15). The incidence of periprosthetic fractures in the Parkinson's group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P0.05). There was no statistical difference in the revision of the hip joint because of aseptic loosening, infection, and dislocation between the 2 groups (P0.05). Conclusion: During an average of 7.5 years of follow-up, the older patients in the Parkinson's syndrome group have higher prosthetic failure rates after primary hip arthroplasty than those in the control group. The periprosthetic fractures are the most common causes. The development of individualized surgical procedures, the implementation of step-by-step rehabilitative exercises, and the suitable protective measures, and the enhancement of drug management and anti-osteoporosis treatment for Parkinson's syndrome may have positive implications for improving the survival of prosthesis in such patients.目的：分析帕金森综合征对高龄股骨颈骨折初次髋关节置换术后假体生存期的影响。方法：回顾性分析2009年1月1日至2011年12月31日湘潭市中心医院骨科收治的高龄股骨颈骨折并行初次髋关节置换术患者81例(81髋)，其中男36例，女45例。合并帕金森综合征患者16例(帕金森组)，其他65例未合并帕金森综合征患者作为对照组。比较两组随访至2017年12月31日的假体生存状况(平均随访7.5年)。结果：随访期内帕金森组5例行髋关节翻修，翻修原因为4例假体周围骨折，1例无菌性松动，无脱位或感染者。对照组翻修7例，1例感染，4例无菌性松动，1例假体周围骨折，1例脱位。随访期内帕金森组翻修率为31.2%，对照组翻修率为10.8%，两组翻修率比较差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。帕金森综合征是髋关节翻修的危险因素(OR=3.77，95% CI：1.12~3.15)。帕金森组假体周围骨折发生率明显高于对照组，差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。两组之间无菌性松动、感染、脱位所致翻修的差异均无统计学意义(均P0.05)。结论：在平均7.5年的随访期内，帕金森组行初次髋关节置换术后比对照组有更高的假体失败率，跌倒损伤所致假体周围骨折为最常见原因。制订个体化术式，施行循序渐进的康复锻炼，采取与之匹配的防护措施，加强帕金森综合征的药物管理及抗骨质疏松的治疗等，可能对提高此类患者假体生存期有积极意义。.

Ammonium molybdophosphate (AMP) exhibits high selectivity towards Cs but it cannot be directly applied in column packing, so it is necessary to prepare AMP–based adsorbents into an available form to improve its practicality. This work provided two AMP immobilized cellulose microspheres (MCC@AMP and MCC-g-AMP) as adsorbents for Cs removal by radiation grafting technique. MCC-g-AMP was prepared by radiation graft polymerization of GMA on microcrystalline cellulose microspheres (MCC) followed by reaction with AMP suspension, and MCC@AMP was synthesized by radiation hybrid grafting of AMP and GMA onto MCC through one step. The different structures and morphologies of two adsorbents were characterized by FTIR and SEM. The adsorption properties of two adsorbents against Cs were investigated and compared in batch and column experiments under different conditions. Both adsorbents were better obeyed pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir model. MCC-g-AMP presented faster adsorption kinetic and more stable structure, whereas MCC@AMP presented more facile synthesis and higher adsorption capacity. MCC@AMP was pH independent in the range of pH 1–12 but MCC-g-AMP was sensitive to pH for Cs removal. The saturated column adsorption capacities of MCC@AMP and MCC-g-AMP were 5.4 g-Cs/L-ad and 0.75 g-Cs/L-ad in column adsorption experiments at SV 10 h−1. Both adsorbents exhibited very high radiation stability and can maintain an adsorption capacity of >85% even after 1000 kGy γ-irradiation. On the basis, two AMP-loaded adsorbents possessed promising application in removal of Cs from actual contaminated groundwater. These findings provided two efficient adsorbents for treatment of Cs in radioactive waste disposal.

Spermidine/spermine N1-acetyltransferase (SSAT) is a catabolic regulator of polyamines, ubiquitous molecules essential for cell proliferation and differentiation. Anti-SSAT antibodies (monoclonal antibodies [mAbs]) of high titer were prepared by immunizing BALB/c mice with multifocal intradermal injections and by fusing high-titer antibody-producing spleen cells with myeloma cells of SP2/0 origin. Four mAbs were selected for further characterization as classes and subclasses. Antibodies were produced by these three clones with high affinities ranging from 10(9) to 10(11) M(-1). These clones were found to be of the immunoglobulin IgG1 subclass with kappa light chain. They could recognize SSAT as determined by Western blot and immunohistochemistry. The specificity of one clone, 4H6, was studied by using the small interfering RNA (siRNA) on SSAT. 4H6 was also compared with the commercial antibody. The produced mAbs will be a useful tool for further investigation of SSAT functions in organisms.

Uranium (Ⅵ) exists as many species in natural water systems. In the recent years, its contamination to groundwater has been reported more frequently. To investigate the effects of speciation on the removal of uranium, this work investigated the uranium adsorption behaviors of a polyamine-grafted silica composite named SAER at the concentration level of μg/L in the alkaline carbonate solutions with other four resins. Results suggested that the change of uranium speciation had minor effect on the adsorption efficiencies of SAER, except the addition of calcium. This was resulted from that the protonated tetraethylenepentamine had a much higher affinity to the electronegative uranyl-carbonate species, leading to the complete removal of uranium through the simultaneous anion exchange and chemical transformation mechanisms; Column experiments confirmed that merely a small portion of calcium while no magnesium cations were involved in the uranium adsorption in the simulated groundwater. Finally, the integrated removal mechanisms were proposed. Overall, this work demonstrated the feasibility of a novel adsorbent for the effective removal of uranium from different water matrices as well as the mechanisms underlying the interaction of uranium and the functional groups on the adsorbents. Furthermore, it enhanced the understanding of uranium removal under environmentally relevant conditions.

We have explored a better method to preserve and store human medically amputated large size samples. The approach involved developing a special embalming solution and procedures for biopreservation and biostorage of a large-sized sample as a whole specimen rather than dissected small parts. Evaluation of the effect of our special embalming solution and procedures on whole human amputated extremities compared with excised small tissues was conducted. Histological and morphological techniques and elemental analyses were utilized to assess the effects of our new method using the special embalming solution.Whole remains and excised tissues (skin, muscle, saphenous nerve, and femoral artery) were immersed in a special embalming solution for 6, 12, and 24 months, respectively. Then samples from whole remains and excised tissues were paraffin embedded and Hematoxylin-Eosin staining was performed. Transmission electron microscopy was performed to detect the microstructure of the samples. At the same time, concentrations of chemical elements in the embalming solution from whole remains and excised tissues were separately determined by using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry.The morphological structure of tissues was well preserved at 6 and 12 months, and few chemical elements, especially trace elements, leached into the embalming fluid. The macroelements leached into the fluid earlier than the trace elements, but there were some differences in the ultrastructure after preservation for 24 months between tissues excised before and after embalming. Over time, the types and concentrations of chemical elements in the embalming fluid increased. The trace elements in the whole remains were preserved better than those in the removed tissues, and trace elements in muscles and femoral artery were better preserved than those in the skin and saphenous nerve.The special embalming fluid can preserve fresh amputated remains well for a short time (less than 24 months), and performs better for the whole remains than excised tissues. This specific embalming fluid should be further studied to achieve higher quality preservation of different tissues for a longer period of time.

In recent years, the Deep Neural Network (DNN) has been successfully used in image classification. Most of existing DNN often need to learn a very large set of parameters, which require a huge amount of computational resources and time to train these model parameters using the gradient descent and back-propagation procedure. To solve this issue, the PCANet has been developed for high efficient design and training of the DNN. Compared with traditional DNN, PCANet has simpler structure and better performance, which makes it attractive for hardware design. To overcome the limitations of PCANet and significantly improve its performance, we have proposed a novel model named Constrained High Dispersal Network (CHDNet) which is a variant of PCANet. In this paper, we implement the CHDNet on the Xilinx ZYNQ FPGA to ensure the instantaneity of the system with lower power than personal computer needed by taking advantage of the algorithmic parallelism and ZYNQ architecture. Our experimental results over two major datasets, the MNIST dataset for handwritten digits recognition, and the Extended Yale B dataset for face recognition, demonstrate that our model of implementation on FPGA is more than 15x faster than software implementation on PC (Intel i7-4720HQ, 2.6GHz).

In biological, medical, and social sciences, multilevel structures are very common. Hierarchical models that take the dependencies among subjects within the same level are necessary. In this article, we introduce a semiparametric hierarchical composite quantile regression model for hierarchical data. This model (i) keeps the easy interpretability of the simple parametric model; (ii) retains some of the flexibility of the complex non parametric model; (iii) relaxes the assumptions that the noise variances and higher-order moments exist and are finite; and (iv) takes the dependencies among subjects within the same hierarchy into consideration. We establish the asymptotic properties of the proposed estimators. Our simulation results show that the proposed method is more efficient than the least-squares-based method for many non normally distributed errors. We illustrate our methodology with a real biometric data set.

The role of dietary linolenic acid (LN), vitamin E (E) and vitamin C (C) in regulating fish growth and immune response was tested on juvenile darkbarbel catfish Pelteobagrus vachelli. Five dietary combinations were used (−E−LN, +E−LN, −E+LN, +E+LN and −C+E+LN; ‘+’ with addition and ‘−’ without addition) in triplicate. Weight gain was highest in the −E+LN feeding group. Red blood cell in fish fed the +E+LN diet was highest. The haematocrit and haemoglobin of fish fed the −E+LN diet was lowest. Superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activities in fish fed the −E+LN diet were higher than those in fish fed other diets. Malondialdehyde in fish fed the −C+E+LN diet was highest. Fish fed the +E+LN diet had higher levels of lysozyme activity, serum protein, complements C3 and C4, and immunoglobulin contents than fish fed other diets. Fish fed the +E+LN diet showed lower mortality and higher antibody titre than fish fed other diets after the fish were challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila for 14 day. This study suggests that the growth of darkbabel catfish is improved by increasing dietary linolenic acids. The diets with high linolenic acid, vitamin E and vitamin C can enhance the immune response and resistance in darkbarbel catfish challenged with A. hydrophila.

This paper applies stochastic evolutionary game theory to analyzing the stability of cooperation among members against external opportunism in a multi-firm alliance. The authors first review the pros and cons of pertinent traditional models, and then a stochastic game model on decisions is proposed, where a coordination parameter, a time variable, a punishment effect and bounded rationality are considered. The Gauss white noise is introduced to reflect the random disturbance in the process. Several sufficient criteria on stability are developed, which enable us to investigate “if-then”type scenarios and project the impact of different strategies.

A 10-week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary lipid sources on the growth and immune responses of Chinese mitten crab Eriocheir sinensis. Six isonitrogenous and isoenergetic diets were formulated with fish oil (FO), linseed oil (LO), soybean oil (SO), rapeseed oil (RO), coconut oil (CO) and beef tallow (BT) as the sources of lipid with five replicates each. A fatty acid-binding protein (FABP) gene designated as MnFABP10 was cloned and characterized from the freshwater prawn Macrobrachium nipponense. The full-length cDNA of MnFABP10 was 646 bp encoding a 130 amino acid. Real-time quantitative RT-PCR showed that the MnFABP10 gene was expressed in various tissues with the highest expression in the hepatopancreas. The MnFABP10 mRNA levels in the hepatopancreas and ovary of M. nipponense were dependent on the stages of ovarian development. Western blot results revealed a single immunoreactive band with an estimated molecular mass of approximate 14 kDa in the developmental ovary. Then, M. nipponense with an initial body weight of 0.090 ± 0.0010 g were fed with four isonitrogenous and isocaloric diets with different oils, that is, beef tallow (BT), soybean oil (SO), pollack fish oil (FO) and a mixture of fish oil and soybean oil (FO/SO 2 : 1 w/w) for 52 days. The mRNA levels of MnFABP10 in the hepatopancreas were influenced by different lipid sources, with a peak expression observed in prawns fed SO. This study suggests that MnFABP10 may have a putative function in ovary maturation, and its mRNA expression in the hepatopancreas can be regulated by the source of dietary lipids in M. nipponense.

Experimental diets were formulated containing six levels of linolenic acid (0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 2.5%) and each diet was fed to darkbarbel catfish Pelteobagrus vachelli in triplicate for 84 days. Weight gain, specific growth rate and feed efficiency increased with the increasing levels of dietary linolenic acid, but were not significantly different among diets containing 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 2.5% linolenic acid. Red blood cell count and haemoglobin were significantly higher in fish fed the 1.0% linolenic acid than other diets. Lysozyme activity and immunoglobulin M content in fish fed 1.0% of linolenic acid were significantly higher compared with the other diets. Antibody titre in fish fed 1.0–2.5% linolenic acids was significantly higher than in fish fed 0 or 0.5% linolenic acid 14 days after Aeromonas hydrophila challenge. This study indicates that linolenic acid is essential to darkbarbel catfish. Two-straight broken-line analysis with SGR showed that a dietary level of 1.29% linolenic acid is the minimum required for adequate growth of darkbarbel catfish. Considering other measured indicators of fish performance, a level of 1.0–1.5% linolenic acid in the diet is recommended for the darkbarbel catfish.

The optical nonlinearity of a CdTe quantum dot enhanced by a gold nanoparticle has been theoretically studied by employing the multi-bands effective mass method. The energy levels have been computed using 6×6 k.p model for the valence band. The semiconductor quantum dot-size-dependent third-order susceptibility of third harmonic generation in a CdTe–Au nanocrystal complex has been analyzed. It is found that the metal nanoparticle enhances the optical nonlinearity of the semiconductor quantum dot due to the dipole/multipole interaction that will bring in the strong damping and the field enhancement. By choosing the radius of CdTe quantum dot, the third-order nonlinear susceptibility for third harmonic generation can be optimized for the one- and multi-photon resonance. Also, we can alter the optical nonlinearity by changing the ratio of semiconductor–metal nanoparticle distance to the metal nanoparticle radius.

This paper investigates image denoising algorithm based on sparse representation with over-complete dictionary. Here K-SVD(Singular Value Decomposition) algorithm is used to train the over-complete dictionary, followed by OMP(Orthogonal Matching Pursuit) algorithm for image sparse decomposition. While this strategy achieves good performance on image denoising, it has high computational complexity. In order to speed up computation, Batch-OMP instead of OMP algorithm is adopted to improve the denosing algorithm, which significantly shortens the running time. Finally, analysis is made on the configuration of parameters versus the performance in the denoising algorithm; we use particle swarm optimization algorithm to learn the best parameters.

The aim of this study is to establish stable transfected cell lines which could produce SPAG4L protein labeled with Myc and His tags in vitro. The open reading frame (ORF) of human SPAG4L was amplified by PCR and the fragments were cloned into eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3.1/myc-His(-)A. The recombined plasmids of pcDNA3.1/myc-His(-)A/SPAG4L were verified by sequencing and digestion with enzymes. Then, the recombined plasmids were introduced into HeLa cells and screened by G418. Western blotting was performed to detect the expression of SPAG4L and its tags in stable transfected cell lines. SPAG4L and its tags were expressed in the stable cell lines transfected with pcDNA3.1/myc-His(-)A/SPAG4L, but not in the control group. Further study showed that SPAG4L colocalized with the endoplasmic reticulum(ER) marker PDI by immunofluorescence. The stable transfected cell lines established in this study will provide a powerful tool for further studies such as co-immunoprecipitation and pull-down.

The distal end of the spinal cord and neuromuscular junction may develop secondary degeneration and damage following spinal cord injury because of the loss of neural connections. In this study, a rat model of spinal cord injury, established using a modified Allen's method, was injected with basic fibroblast growth factor solution via subarachnoid catheter. After injection, rats with spinal cord injury displayed higher scores on the Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan locomotor scale. Motor function was also well recovered and hematoxylin-eosin staining showed that spinal glial scar hyperplasia was not apparent. Additionally, anterior tibial muscle fibers slowly, but progressively, atrophied. nohistochemical staining showed that the absorbance values of calcitonin gene related peptide and acetylcholinesterase in anterior tibial muscle and spinal cord were similar, and injection of basic broblast growth factor increased this absorbance. Results showed that after spinal cord injury, the distal motor neurons and motor endplate degenerated. Changes in calcitonin gene related peptide and acetylcholinesterase in the spinal cord anterior horn motor neurons and motor endplate then occurred that were consistent with this regeneration. Our findings indicate that basic fibroblast growth factor can protect the endplate through attenuating the decreased expression of calcitonin gene related peptide and acetylcholinesterase in anterior horn motor neurons of the injured spinal cord.
