Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of service quality, product, and promotion on purchasing decisions for Sari Roti products in Karya Penggawa District, Pesisir Barat Regency. The sample of this research is 60 respondents who have filled out the questionnaires that have been distributed. Data analysis using validity test, reliability test, and hypothesis testing. The drawback of this research is that it only gets a few respondents. The hope for further research is to increase the number of respondents. The test results show that the quality of services, products, and promotions is highly approved and in great demand among the public.

Abstract

There are abundances of vegetable wastes in a traditional market, these easily degraded wastes could polluted the environment if not treated wisely. Vegetable wastes could undergo anaerobic digestion process to produce biogas and minimise the wastes. Biogas is an alternative energy source to replace LPG, a fossil energy source widely used in Indonesia. The waste from anaerobic digestion may be further treated to produce organic fertiliser. This study aimed to examines anaerobic digestion of vegetables wastes collected from a traditional market in Makassar, Indonesia, to produce biogas. In this research, three vegetable wastes, namely, cabbage, spinach and kangkoong were shredded, mixed with a starter of cow dungs and water, then fed to the anaerobic digester with ratios of a starter to organic waste of 1:3. The process was left for several days. The biogas produced from the process was collected and analysed for its characteristic. It was found that cabbage and spinach wastes yielded biogas with quite similar pressure ca 120 KPa, whereas kangkoong yieldedd quite lower biogas pressure. The biogas produced from the digestion of vegetable wastes from a biodigester with a capacity of 150 liters for 20 days could be combusted for 1807 s with a blue-clear flame. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) emulsions is an alternative product to reduce the oily taste in the mouth when consuming VCO. The stability of the emulsion is used to ensure the identity, dosage, quality and purity of the product. The good emulsions can be store for a long time. This study aimed to determine the characteristics of VCO emulsion for 12 months of storage. The emulsions were prepared by mixing VCO, water and sucrose (ratios 80:16:4), using mixed emulsifiers of Tween 80 and Span 80 (T80S80) in a concentration of 0.75%. The mixture was homogenized at 15000 rpm for 4 minutes. The characteristics of emulsion were investigated by measuring viscosity, stability, peroxide number and total plate count. The results of this study showed that the peroxide numbers and total plate count increase during storage. Whereas, the stability and viscosity of the emulsion decreased during storage. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini antara lain untuk Mengetahui dan kepemimpinan kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan motivasi terhadap kinerja pegawai di Daerah Lampung. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kuantitatif karena pendekatan yang digunakan untuk penelitian, proses, hipotesis, analisis data, dan penelitian. Subyek penelitian adalah karyawan di daerah Lampung dengan jumlah 70 responden. Uji statistik dilakukan dengan menggunakan Structurel Equation Modeling berbasi PLS. Uji validitas menggunakan nilai faktor loading, sedangkan reliabilitas menggunakan nilai cronbach'c alpha, composite reliability dan Average Variance Extracted (AVE).Setelah seluruh indikator hasil yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini valid dan reliabel, selanjutnya dilakukan uji hipotesis. Dari pihak ketiga yang diajukan hanya dua pihak yang terdukung, namun untuk hipotesis pertama tidak signifikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa sangat penting dalam perusahaan / organisasi yang melakukan motivasi kepada karyawan / anggota organisasi guna meningkatkan kinerjanya. Sama hal nya dengan budaya oraganisasi, jadi lebih baik / lebih erat kekeluargaan di dalam suatu perusahaan / organisasi maka dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan / anggota yang nantinya akan berdampak baik bagi produktifitas perusahaan / organisasi

29. Sulphur transformation during pyrolysis of an Australian lignite

Abstract

Australia has the largest economical lignite resources in the world. However, the utilisation of lignite is faced with a number of technical, economical and environmental problems due to its high moisture content and some of the deposits containing high sulphur and high inorganic matter. During pyrolysis, the first step of any thermochemical conversion processes of coal, some of the sulphur in lignite evolves as sulphur-bearing volatiles while others are retained in the solid phase of the lignite char. The present research aims to study the sulphur transformation during pyrolysis of Australian lignite. The specific objectives of this research include a study on the transformation of pyrite, sulphate and organic sulphur during lignite pyrolysis as well as an investigation of the effect of inorganic matter on the sulphur transformation during lignite pyrolysis. To help the interpretation of sulphur transformation, the lignite samples were characterised using a combination of analytical techniques, i.e. X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescent (XRF), ion chromatography (IC), Scanning electron microscope equipped with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), Fourier transform infra red (FTIR), solid state 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and petrographic analysis. Pyrolysis was carried out in a thermogravimetric analyser (TGA) and fixed bed reactor. The lignites and their chars were analysed for sulphur forms using a carbon sulphur (CS) analyser. To study the volatiles released during pyrolysis, experiments were also performed using a TGA coupled to a mass spectrometer (TGA-MS). Eleven (11) Australian lignite samples, denoted as L1 to L11, respectively, from the same lignite deposit but with different sulphur and inorganic matter concentrations were employed in this study.
