Global precipitation observations have been realized through the development of satellite remote-sensing technology. However, there is a lack of evaluation of remote-sensing precipitation products in complex tropical island terrains. This study used hourly rain gauge data to conduct a multi-scale systematic evaluation of common precipitation products, such as CMORPH, CHIRPS, GsMAP, GPM, MSWEP, ERA5-Land, and PERSIANN, over Hainan Island, providing an in-depth analysis of the precipitation detection capabilities of various products in this region. The main conclusions are: (1) In a multi-temporal scale evaluation, GPM and GsMAP outperformed the other products across all time scales. On a 3-hour scale, GPM and GsMAP showed the highest correlation coefficients (0.53 and 0.52, respectively). On a daily scale, except for PERSIANN, all products showed correlation coefficients above 0.56, with GPM and GsMAP showing the best performance (R = 0.73 and 0.74, respectively). (2) In comparing annual precipitation, Hainan Island's average-annual precipitation over the past 20 years showed a fluctuating trend, with a mean of 1,776.4 mm/a. The CMORPH annual average of 1,765.1 mm/a was the closest to the CHM-PRE dataset, with minimal error. ERA5-Land and MSWEP significantly overestimated (2,504.3 mm/a) and underestimated (1,662.2 mm/a) the average-annual precipitation, respectively. (3) Spatial distribution pattern analysis revealed that the observed multi-year annual precipitation in Hainan Island ranges from 996.9 to 2,368.9 mm, exhibiting an annular-distribution pattern with higher precipitation in the east than in the west and the southwestern mountainous areas than in the northeastern plains. The precipitation range of 1,337.9‒2,287.0 mm observed in GsMAP was the closest to the rain gauge data and particularly matched that of the high-value center in the southeast of the island. (4) In a precipitation trend analysis, CMORPH, ERA5-Land, GPM, MSWEP, CHIRPS, and PERSIANN showed an increasing trend in local areas of Hainan Island, while GsMAP showed a stronger increasing trend. (5) In an analysis of extreme precipitation events, GsMAP, CMORPH, and GPM reproduced the spatiotemporal evolution of extreme precipitation events on a daily scale in Hainan relatively well. GPM better reproduced the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of typhoon precipitation events in Hainan Island. However, the accuracy of the precipitation estimation still requires improvement. The results of this study not only contribute to our understanding of precipitation products applicable to Hainan but also provide insights for improving satellite-based precipitation products in tropical island environments. These findings underscore the importance of regional validation and the potential of multi-product fusion approaches for enhancing precipitation estimates in complex terrains.

AIM: To observe the changes of nerve fiber thickness and vessel density in macula and optic disc following femtosecond laser-assisted and conventional phacoemulsification cataract surgery through optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA).METHODS: A total of 65 cases(85 eyes)that diagnosed with age-related cataract and received surgery in Aier Eye Hospital(East of Chengdu)were included in this prospective nonrandomized controlled study. The patients were divided into two groups according to the surgery choice, with 23 cases(30 eyes)in femtosecond laser assisted group, and 42 cases(55 eyes)in traditional phacoemulsification group. OCTA was used to compare the changes in central macular thickness, thickness of nerve fiber layer in optic disc, vessel density and blood perfusion preoperatively, and at 1 d and 1 mo postoperatively.RESULTS: BCVA of patients in the two groups was significantly improved and IOP was significantly reduced at 1 mo postoperatively(all P0.05); there were significant differences in nerve fiber layer thickness in optic disc, vessel density and blood perfusion in both macula and optic disc of the traditional phacoemulsification group(all P0.05). Furthermore, there were no significant differences in foveal avascular zone area in the two groups of patients(all P>0.05).CONCLUSION: Femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery had less impact on retinal vessels.

The all-electric propulsion Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellite, characterized by its low launch cost, high precision control, and long operational lifespan, has become a focal point in aerospace research worldwide. During its orbital transfer control, this satellite continuously performs weak maneuvers across various orbits including LEO, MEO, and GEO, creating a potential “weavin” effect with other space objects, thereby dramatically increasing the risk of collisions. To effectively mitigate collision risks, this article proposes a collision warning analysis strategy based on deviation orbits. Through the categorization of warning space domain interval level, deviation orbit coverage calculation, and dynamic analysis of control parameters, a collision warning success rate of 100% is ensured. In addition, a collision avoidance algorithm based on deviation orbit control strategy is established, ensuring a 100% success rate in collision avoidance through precision calibration of electric thrust, optimization of deviation orbit control strategy, and autonomous generation of control strategy. Furthermore, a dynamic intelligent collision avoidance model based on orbit prediction error compensation is designed. By constructing an orbit prediction error analysis model, error learning model, and error compensation model, perturbation error in the orbit model are corrected, leading to an accuracy improvement of over 25% in prediction. The experimental results validate the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed methods, ensuring the safety requirements for collision warning and avoidance during the orbital transfer control process of all-electric propulsion GEO satellites.

Abstract Background Logsplitter Injury is a type of high-energy ankle fracture dislocation. The mechanism of injury has not been described in detail. A detailed understanding of the radiological features and pathological changes can further guide treatment. Methods Between April 2009 and December 2018, a retrospective analysis was conducted on 62 patients with Logsplitter injury. The study analysed the characteristics of fibular injury, tibial injury, syndesmosis injury, medial injury and lateral ligament injury on preoperative X-ray and CT scans. The incidence of the different injury types was summarised. The correlation between Logsplitter injuries and the mechanisms causing them were analysed using the Lauge-Hansen classification of ankle fractures. Results The study provides data on the types of fractures observed. Of the total fractures, 98.4% were open fractures. The fibula injuries were classified as no fracture (1.6%), transverse or short oblique fractures (61.3%), butterfly fragments (25.8%), and comminuted fractures (11.3%). The tibial injuries included compression of lateral articular surfaces (38.7%) and posterior compressions (6.5%). Medial injuries, including medial malleolar fractures, accounted for 87.1%, and deltoid ligament rupture accounted for 12.9%. The study found that injuries to the syndesmosis consisted of simple ligament ruptures (11.3%), Tillaux fractures (8.1%), Volkmann fractures (43.5%), and Tillaux and Volkmann fractures (37.1%). In 12.9% of cases, there was a complete rupture of the lateral collateral ligament. Based on the Lauge-Hansen classification, 87.1% of injuries were pronation-abduction injuries, while 8.1% were pronation and external rotation injuries, and 1.6% were supination external rotation injuries. Furthermore, 3.2% of cases could not be classified. Conclusion The pathoanatomic characteristics of Logsplitter injury are diverse, with some cases accompanied by collateral ligament injury. It is important to note that these evaluations are objective and based on current results. The most common injury mechanism is vertical violence combined with abduction, although in some cases, it may be a vertical combined external-rotation injury. Level of evidence (4) case series. Spatial synergy is strengthened integration and connection between cities in a mega-city region, transcending administrative boundaries. The central flow theory suggests that the mega-city regions are formed by the interconnected flows of people across cities, making the spatial synergy can be measured by assessing the aggregation and intensity of flows and interactions between cities and regions. Human mobility data, such as mobile phone data and social media check-ins, enable the tracking of human movements, thus facilitating the transition of central flow theory from theoretical constructs to empirical research. To this end, this study presents an alternative data-driven framework to reveal the multi-scale spatial synergy of mega-city regions from a human mobility perspective. It uncovers homogeneously spatial communities with high inter-city integration using community detection. Strong internal spatial connections of 2.13 billion mobility are filtered using network backbone extraction. An experiment in the Pearl River Delta (PRD), China, demonstrates a multi-scale and multi-core hierarchical spatial synergy in the PRD region. The detailed findings are as follows: (1) Three cities attract the majority of human mobility. Mobility distance is short in urban centers and long in suburban areas. (2) The spatial integration pattern shows the detected communities reveal the hierarchical integration pattern with three main integrated regions: Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing, Shenzhen-Dongguan-Huizhou, and Zhuhai-Zhongshan-Jiangmen. (3) The spatial connection pattern illustrates the close ties of 9 cities and three core cities, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan. These results provide a human-centric understanding of urban synergy and deeper insights into central flow theory, which supports cooperative development in mega-city regions.

AIM: To evaluate clinical efficacy and safety of ultrasound cycloplasty(UCP)in the treatment of refractory glaucoma.METHODS:From June 2021 to October 2022, a total of 17 patients(17 eyes)with refractory glaucoma were enrolled in this prospective study, and they all underwent UCP. Abstract Background The aging global population is experiencing escalating challenges related to cognitive deficits and dementia. This study explored the interplay between pulmonary function, physical activity, and cognitive function in older U.S. adults to identify modifiable risk factors for cognitive decline. Methods Utilizing NHANES 2011–2012 data, we conducted a cross-sectional analysis of 729 participants aged ≥ 60 years. Cognitive function, peak expiratory flow (PEF), and physical activity were assessed. Weighted logistic regression and mediation analyses were employed to examine associations. Results The sample size was 729 (weighted mean [SD] age, 67.1 [5.3] years; 53.6% female participants). Preliminary correlation analysis indicated a positive correlation between the global cognitive score and physical activity (β = 0.16; p 100%, the PEF% (80-100%) group (OR, 2.66; 95% CI, 1.34–5.29; p = 0.005) and PEF%

The medium and high volume fraction SiCp/Al composites were prepared by hot isostatic pressing powder metallurgy process with volume fractions of 35%, 45% and 55% using 2024 and 6061 aluminum alloys as the matrix, respectively. The effect of matrix alloy and SiC volume fraction on the mechanical properties of the composites was investigated. The results show that with the same SiC volume fraction, composites with 2024 aluminum alloy matrix have higher bending strength and elastic modulus, while composites with 6061 aluminum alloy matrix present higher fracture strain. Meanwhile, the mechanical properties of composites with 2024 and 6061 alumium alloy matrix present the same trend as SiC volume fraction increases. The bending strength increases at first and then decreases, with the maximum values of composites with volume fraction of 45% being 656.54 MPa and 548.00 MPa, respectively. However, the elastic modulus continuous increases and reaches maximum for SiCp/2024Al and SiCp/6061Al composites with volume fraction of 55% being 202 GPa and 188 GPa, respectively. The effect of differences in matrix alloys on mechanical properties is more significant at lower volume fractions, and increasing the volume fraction will weaken this difference. According to the theoretical formulas calculation, Orowan mechanism has negligible strengthening effect for the composites with micron-grade SiC particle.The strengthening effect of other types of reinforcement mechanisms can be enhanced on different levels with the increase of the volume fraction of the reinforcement, wherein the contribution of geometrically necessary dislocations and thermal mismatch reinforcement to the yield strength of materials is always dominant.

Abstract Beams carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) have exhibited significant potential across various fields, such as metrology, image coding, and optical communications. High-performance broadband coherent OAM sources are critical to the operation of optical systems. The emission of dispersive waves facilitates the efficient transfer of energy to distant spectral domains while preserving the coherence among the generated frequency components. Light sources that maintain consistency over a wide range can increase the efficiency of optical communication systems and improve the measurement accuracy in imaging and metrology. In this work, we propose a germanium-doped double ring-core fiber for five OAM dispersive waves (DWs) generation. The OAM1,1 mode supported in the fiber exhibits three zero-dispersion wavelengths (ZDWs) located at 1275, 1720 and 2325 nm. When pumped under normal dispersion, the output spectrum undergoes broadening and exhibits five DWs, situated around 955, 1120, 1450, 2795 and 2965 nm, respectively. Concomitant with blue-shifted and red-shifted dispersive waves, the spectrum spans from 895 to 3050 nm with high coherence. The effect of the fiber and input pulse parameters on DWs generation, as well as the underlying dynamics of the dispersive wave generation process, are discussed. As expected, the number and location of DWs generated in the output spectrum have agreement with the prediction of the phase-matching condition. Overall, this multiple DWs generation method in the proposed fiber paves the way for developing efficient and coherent OAM light sources in fiber-based optical systems.

The presence of soil-borne disease obstacles and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in soil leads to serious economic losses and health risks to humans. One area in need of attention is the evolution of ARGs as pathogenic soil gradually develops, which introduces uncertainty to the dynamic ability of conventional farming models to predict ARGs. Here, we investigated variations in tomato bacterial wilt disease accompanied by the resistome by metagenomic analysis in soils over 13 seasons of monoculture. The results showed that the abundance and diversity of ARGs and mobile genetic elements (MGEs) exhibited a significant and positive correlation with R. solanacearum. Furthermore, the binning approach indicated that fluoroquinolone (qepA), tetracycline (tetA), multidrug resistance genes (MDR, mdtA, acrB, mexB, mexE), and β-lactamases (ampC, blaGOB) carried by the pathogen itself were responsible for the increase in overall soil ARGs. The relationships between pathogens and related ARGs that might underlie the breakdown of soil ARGs were further studied in R. solanacearum invasion pot experiments. This study revealed the dynamics of soil ARGs as soil-borne diseases develop, indicating that these ecological trends can be anticipated. Overall, this study enhances our understanding of the factors driving ARGs in disease-causing soils.

Abstract The simultaneous detection of multiple stimuli, such as pressure and temperature, has long been a persistent challenge for developing electronic skin (e‐skin) to emulate the functionality of human skin. Meanwhile, the demand for integrated power supply units is an additional pressing concern to achieve its lightweightness and flexibility. Herein, we propose a self‐powered dual temperature–pressure (SPDM) sensor, which utilizes a compressible ionic gel electrolyte driven by the potential difference between MXene and Al electrodes. The SPDM sensor exhibits a rapid and timely response to changes in pressure‐induced deformation, while exhibiting a slow and hysteretic response to temperature variations. These distinct response characteristics enable the differentiation of current signals generated by different stimuli through machine learning, resulting in an impressive accuracy rate of 99.1%. Furthermore, the developed SPDM sensor exhibits a wide pressure detection range of 0–800 kPa and a broad temperature detection range of 5–75°C, encompassing the environmental conditions encountered in daily human life. The dual‐mode coupled strategy by machine learning provides an effective approach for temperature and pressure detection and discrimination, showcasing its potential applications in wearable electronics, intelligent robots, human–machine interactions, and so on.

ABSTRACTMegaregion has emerged as a global urban form, typically based on the polycentric strategy to enhance regional development. How to measure megaregional spatial structure and discriminate different roles of cities has become increasingly important to enrich the knowledge of the formation of a megaregion. Meanwhile, various indices have been used to identify vital nodes in the field of complex network. Which indices, however, are suitable for megaregion analysis remain unsolved. To address this requirement, this study first reviewed the typical indices for identifying vital nodes in the complex network theory, and pointed out that in a weighted city network scenario, weighted degree centrality, hub & authority score, and S-core decomposition (which represent network centrality, connectivity, and structures, respectively) are suitable for analyzing megaregional spatial structures. Then, we explored the city hierarchies and spatial structure in Guangdong Province, China, using the three indices. The hierarchical structure of the weighted city network in Guangdong Province had been identified using S-core decomposition. From the perspective of polycentric structure, Guangzhou and Shenzhen have the strongest node degrees and strength of mobility flows, while the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen corridor has been identified via the hub & authority score which is designed to evaluate the connectivity in a weighted network. Moreover, we conducted a comparison analysis of three indices. The findings of this study not only enrich the understanding of city hierarchies and the structure of a megaregion, but also highlight that although various indices are available, they should be applied selectively in accordance with the study context.

Coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) technology has been widely used in short-reach optical communication systems. By using the same technology in a solid-state photonics-based Lidar, one can achieve significant cost reduction. Beam steering is realized through diffraction of light wave upon grating couplers. However, current design has a small viewing angle and a low angular resolution. We propose a configuration based on Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) waveguide grating coupler. The viewing angle is increased by 2.5 times with light signals propagating bidirectionally. The angular resolution is doubled through interleaving beams with trans-electrical (TE) polarization and beams with trans-magnetic (TM) polarization. By optimizing the design of a single grating coupler, the output beams are evenly distributed and the transmittance is improved. With 4 CWDM lasers being the source, a 34° beam angle of view and an angular resolution of 1.9° are demonstrated.

AlxCoCrFeNi (0.5≤x≤0.8) high-entropy alloys were prepared by arc-melting method and the effect of 1100 ℃ heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloys was investigated. The results show that the as-cast AlxCoCrFeNi (0.5≤x≤0.8) high-entropy alloys present FCC dendrite (x=0.5 and 0.6), "eutectic-like" structure (x=0.7) and BCC/B2 dendrite (x=0.8) morphologies successively as Al content increases. Correspondingly, the yield strength and tensile strength of the alloys increase from 291 MPa and 733 MPa (x=0.5) to 1004 MPa and 1423 MPa (x=0.7), respectively, and the elongation decreases from 39.7% (x=0.5) to 6.8% (x=0.7). After heat treatment at 1100 ℃, a large number of rod-like B2 phases are precipitated from the FCC dendrite region, which can improve the strength of heat-treated alloys, while the BCC/B2 spinodal structure transforms into FCC and B2 dual-phase structure, which can enhance the plasticity of heat-treated alloys. Therefore, the yield strength and tensile strength of heat-treated Al0.5CoCrFeNi alloy with FCC dendrite morphology increase to 370 MPa and 866 MPa, respectively, and the elongation decreases to 30.1%. However, both phase transition behaviors have great influence on the microstructure and property of Al0.6CoCrFeNi alloy due to the increasing fraction of spinodal structure. Therefore, the mechanical properties of heat-treated Al0.6CoCrFeNi alloy are basically unchanged in comparison to that of the as-cast alloy. The as-cast Al0.7CoCrFeNi and Al0.8CoCrFeNi alloys contain higher fractions of spinodal structure, while the heat-treated alloys present typical FCC and B2 dual-phase structure, resulting in an increase of plasticity but a decrease of strength. Correspondingly, the elongation of heat-treated Al0.7CoCrFeNi alloy increases to 14.2%, and the yield strength and tensile strength decrease to 586 MPa and 1092 MPa, respectively.

Background Foetal growth restriction (FGR) occurs when a foetus fails to reach its growth potential. This observational study assessed the expression and significance of cell migration-including protein (CEMIP) and aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2) in the serum of pregnant women with FGR.Methods 40 singleton FGR-suffered pregnant women, as well as 40 normal singleton pregnant women, were enrolled. The expression of CEMIP and CYP11B2 in serum was detected in early pregnancy. The correlations between parameters were evaluated. The predictive variables for FGR were determined. Ovarian aging is a complex process characterized by a decline in oocyte quantity and quality, directly impacting fertility and overall well-being. Recent researches have identified mitochondria as pivotal players in the aging of ovaries, influencing various hallmarks and pathways governing this intricate process. In this review, we discuss the multifaceted role of mitochondria in determining ovarian fate, and outline the pivotal mechanisms through which mitochondria contribute to ovarian aging. Specifically, we emphasize the potential of targeting mitochondrial dysfunction through innovative therapeutic approaches, including antioxidants, metabolic improvement, biogenesis promotion, mitophagy enhancement, mitochondrial transfer, and traditional Chinese medicine. These strategies hold promise as effective means to mitigate age-related fertility decline and preserve ovarian health. Drawing insights from advanced researches in the field, this review provides a deeper understanding of the intricate interplay between mitochondrial function and ovarian aging, offering valuable perspectives for the development of novel therapeutic interventions aimed at preserving fertility and enhancing overall reproductive health.

Chemotherapy remains the cornerstone of pancreatic cancer treatment. However, the dense interstitial and immunosuppressive microenvironment frequently render the ineffective anti-tumor activity of chemotherapeutic agents. Macrophages play a key role in the tumor immunomodulation. In this study, we found that low molecular weight of fucoidan (LF2) directly regulated the differentiation of mononuclear macrophages into the CD86+ M1 phenotype. LF2 significantly upregulated the expressions of M1 macrophage-specific cytokines, including iNOS, IL-6, TNFα and IL-12. LF2 modulated macrophage phenotypic transformation through activation of TLR4-NFκB pathway. Furthermore, we observed that LF2 enhanced the pro-apoptotic activity of oxaliplatin (OXA) in vitro by converting macrophages to a tumoricidal M1 phenotype. Meanwhile, LF2 increased intratumoral M1 macrophage infiltration and ameliorated the immunosuppressed tumor microenvironment, which in turn enhanced the anti-pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) activity of OXA in vivo. Taken together, our results suggested that LF2 could act as a TLR4 agonist targeting macrophages and has a synergistic effect against PDAC when combined with OXA.

Abstract Purpose The pathological diagnosis and prognosis prediction of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is challenging due to the lack of specific biomarkers. This study aimed to validate the diagnostic and prognostic efficiency of Kidney-type glutaminase (GLS1) for HCC in prospective cohorts with a large sample size. Methods A total of 1140 HCC patients were enrolled in our prospective clinical trials. Control cases included 114 nontumour tissues. The registered clinical trial (ChiCTR-DDT-14,005,102, chictr.org.cn) was referred to for the exact protocol. GLS1 immunohistochemistry was performed on the whole tumour section. The diagnostic and prognostic performances of GLS1 was evaluated by the receiver operating characteristic curve and Cox regression model. Results The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, Youden index, and area under the curve of GLS1 for the diagnosis of HCC were 0.746, 0.842, 0.979, 0.249, 0.588, and 0.814, respectively, which could be increased to 0.846, 0.886, 0.987,0.366, 0.732, and 0.921 when combined with glypican 3 (GPC3) and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), indicating better diagnostic performance. Further, we developed a nomogram with GPC3 and GLS1 for identifying HCC which showed good discrimination and calibration. GLS1 expression was also related with age, T stage, TNM stage, Edmondson–Steiner grade, microvascular invasion, Ki67, VEGFR2, GPC3, and AFP expression in HCC. Objective: The effects of freezing method and storage temperature on the quality of large yellow croaker during storage were investigated. Methods: Fresh large yellow croaker fillets were frozen with dry ice and air freezing (-40 ℃) to the central temperature of -18 ℃, and then stored at -40 ℃ and -18 ℃, respectively. Physical and chemical indexes such as freezing curve, ice crystal morphology, pH value, volatile base nitrogen, K value, Ca2+-ATPase activity, total sulfhydryl group, carbonyl group, protein degradation and texture characteristics of large yellow croaks were determined after freezing and during freezing storage. Results: The time of dry ice freezing through the maximum ice crystal formation zone was 40 min, which is 1/6 of that of air freezing at -40 ℃. The initial ice crystal cross-section area and equivalent diameter of dry ice frozen fish samples were (96.12±1.61) μm2 and (11.06±1.43) μm, respectively, which is significantly lower than that of air frozen fish samples. Conclusion: The effect of freezing temperature on fish myofibrillator protein was greater than that of freezing temperature, and a lower freezing temperature can result in a lower degradation degree of fish myofibrillator protein. Storage at -40 ℃ after dry ice freezing is beneficial to maintain freshness and quality stability of large yellow croaker.

The location and size of tumors, treatment methods and prognosis of patients with head and neck cancer can seriously affect their oral function and neck activity, thereby affecting daily activities such as eating, speech and upper limb movement. Early rehabilitation after head and neck cancer surgery can accelerate functional recovery, alleviate discomfort symptoms, improve quality of life, and reduce unnecessary rehabilitation or treatment measures. Developing a clinical rehabilitation nursing pathway for head and neck cancer, forming personalized rehabilitation plans, and conducting early and effective nursing interventions are currently one of the key points of clinical work for patients with head and neck cancer. At present, domestic and foreign guidelines or consensus pays less attention to the impairments of speech function, chewing and swallowing function, neck and shoulder function etc., and lacks a systematic and comprehensive rehabilitation nursing guide or consensus to provide practical guidance for the care of patients with head and neck cancer. Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine organized relevant experts from Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Zhejiang and Anhui to draft Expert consensus on postoperative rehabilitation nursing of patients with head and neck cancer basing on previous literature and clinical nursing skills and experiences, of which the aim is to provide guidance for those patients in the aspects of oral care, nutritional support, flap donor area care, care after tracheotomy, chewing and swallowing rehabilitation, speech function rehabilitation, neck and shoulder function rehabilitation, restricted mouth opening rehabilitation, risk identification and prevention and follow-up.

ABSTRACTMobility restriction measures were the main tools to control the spread of COVID-19, but the extent to which the mobility has decreased remained unsure. We investigated the change in local population mobility and its correlation with COVID-19 infections, using 1185 billion aggregated mobile phone data records in nine main cities in China from 10 January to 24 February 2020. Chaotic semiconductor lasers have been widely investigated for high-speed random bit generation, which is applied for the generation of cryptographic keys for classical and quantum cryptography systems. Here, we propose and demonstrate a self-chaotic microlaser with enhanced chaotic bandwidth for high-speed random bit generation. By designing tri-mode interaction in a deformed square microcavity laser, we realize a self-chaotic laser caused by two-mode internal interaction, and achieve an enhanced chaotic standard bandwidth due to the photon–photon resonance effect by introducing the third mode. Moreover, 500 Gb/s random bit generation is realized and the randomness is verified by the NIST SP 800-22 statistics test. Our demonstration promises the applications of microlasers in secure communication, chaos radar, and optical reservoir computing, and also provides a platform for the investigations of multimode nonlinear laser dynamics.

Microbial exopolysaccharide (EPS) is an important biological resource, and EPS production from endophytes has attracted much attention in recent years. To explore more EPS-producing strain resources as well as soybean endophytic resources, in this study, the strain with the highest EPS yield was screened from soybean seeds, and its morphological and molecular identification, biological characteristics (temperature, pH, rotation speed, sucrose tolerance, NaCl tolerance) and physiological and biochemical studies were carried out. The results showed that the maximum EPS yield of strain SE01 was 0.63 g/L after 48 h fermentation. Colony of strain SE01 was round, with smooth edge, milky white, and glossy and sticky surface. Under microscope, the bacterium after Gram staining was short, pink and rod-shaped, which identified to Gram-negative bacterium. The results of physiological and biochemical experiments and 16S rDNA identification showed that strain SE01 was Enterobacter cloacae, and named Enterobacter cloacae SE01. The optimum growth conditions of Enterobacter cloacae SE01 were temperature 30 ℃, pH5, and rotational speed 120 r/min. The strain SE01 had high tolerance to sucrose, but low tolerance to NaCl. Increasing the concentration of NaCl could inhibit its growth. This study provides data support for the development and application of soybean endophytic EPS.

Array waveguide gratings (AWGs) have been widely used in multi-purpose and multi-functional integrated photonic devices for Microwave photonics (MWP) systems. In this paper, we compare the effect of output waveguide configurations on the performance of AWGs. The AWG with an output waveguide converging on the grating circle had larger crosstalk and lower nonuniformity. We also fabricated a 1 × 8 AWG with an output waveguide converging onto the SOI’s grating circle, whose central operation wavelength was around 1550 nm. The fabricated AWG has a chip size of 500 μm × 450 μm. Experimental results show that the adjacent channel crosstalk is −12.68 dB. The center channel insertion loss, as well as 3 dB bandwidth, are 4.18 dB and 1.22 nm at 1550 nm, respectively. The nonuniformity is about 0.494 dB, and the free spectral range is 19.4 nm. The proposed AWG is expected to play an important role in future MWP systems given its good nonuniformity and insertion loss level.

Microtubule (MT)-dependent transport is a critical means of intracellular movement of cellular cargo by kinesin and dynein motors. MT-dependent transport is tightly regulated by cellular MT-associated proteins (MAPs) that directly bind to MTs and either promote or impede motor protein function. Viruses have been widely shown to usurp MT-dependent transport to facilitate their virion movement to sites of replication and/or for exit from the cell. However, it is unclear if viruses also negatively regulate MT-dependent transport. Using single-molecule motility and cellular transport assays, we show that the vaccinia virus (VV)-encoded MAP, A51R, inhibits kinesin-1-dependent transport along MTs in vitro and in cells. This inhibition is selective as the function of kinesin-3 is largely unaffected by VV A51R. Interestingly, we show that A51R promotes the perinuclear accumulation of cellular cargo transported by kinesin-1 such as lysosomes and mitochondria during infection. Moreover, A51R also regulates the release of specialized VV virions that exit the cell using kinesin-1-dependent movement. Using a fluorescently tagged rigor mutant of kinesin-1, we show that these motors accumulate on A51R-stabilized MTs, suggesting these stabilized MTs may form a “kinesin-1 sink” to regulate MT-dependent transport in the cell. Collectively, our findings uncover a new mechanism by which viruses regulate host cytoskeletal processes.

Liver transplantation is an effective measure to treat adult-onset type II citrullinemia (CTLN2). Active and effective perioperative nutrition support is a very important treatment for the prognosis of such patients. In this paper, we analyzed the process, results, and outcome of nutritional support therapy in a case of CTLN2, and concluded that the perioperative nutritional support program for CTLN2 patients should be followed prior to surgery:1.because of the prevalence of severe malnutrition in CTLN2 patients, Enteral nutrition (EN) combined with Parenteral nutrition (PN) should be the first choice for nutritional support; 2. daily energy intake should be 35 ~ 40 kcal/kg; 3. the nutritional formula should be composed of low-carbohydrates and high medium-chain triglyceride (MCT). Postoperative: initiating EN as soon as possible is recommended to restore intestinal function and adjuvant PN might be taken into consideration in the early stage. The purpose of this case was to provide experience for the development and adjustment of the perioperative nutritional support regimen for CTLN2 patients.

The melon fly, Bactrocera cucurbitae (Coquillett) (Tephritidae: Diptera), is an invasive pest that poses a significant threat to agriculture in Africa and other regions. Flies are known to use their olfactory systems to recognise environmental chemical cues. However, the molecular components of the chemosensory system of B. cucurbitae are poorly characterised. To address this knowledge gap, we have used next-generation sequencing to analyse the antenna transcriptomes of sexually immature B. cucurbitae adults. The results have identified 160 potential chemosensory genes, including 35 odourant-binding proteins (OBPs), one chemosensory protein (CSP), three sensory neuron membrane proteins (SNMPs), 70 odourant receptors (ORs), 30 ionotropic receptors (IRs), and 21 gustatory receptors (GRs). Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to validate the results by assessing the expression profiles of 25 ORs and 15 OBPs. Notably, high expression levels for BcucOBP5/9/10/18/21/23/26 were observed in both the female and male antennae. Furthermore, BcucOROrco/6/7/9/13/15/25/27/28/42/62 exhibited biased expression in the male antennae, whereas BcucOR55 showed biased expression in the female antennae. This comprehensive investigation provides valuable insights into insect olfaction at the molecular level and will, thus, help to facilitate the development of enhanced pest management strategies in the future.

Abstract The aqueous micro batteries (AMBs) are expected to be one of the most promising micro energy storage devices for its safe operation and cost‐effectiveness. However, the performance of the AMBs is not satisfactory, which is attributed to strong interaction between metal ions and the electrode materials. Here, the first AMBs are developed with NH4+ as charge carrier. More importantly, to solve the low conductivity and the dissolution during the NH4+ intercalation/extraction problem of perylene material represented by perylene‐3,4,9,10‐tetracarboxylic dianhydride (PTCDA), the Ti3C2Tx MXene with high conductivity and polar surface terminals is introduced as a conductive skeleton (PTCDA/Ti3C2Tx MXene). Benefitting from this, the PTCDA/Ti3C2Tx MXene electrodes exhibit ultra‐high cycle life and rate capability (74.31% after 10 000 galvanostatic chargedischarge (GCD) cycles, and 91.67 mAh g−1 at 15.0 A g−1, i.e., capacity retention of 45.2% for a 30‐fold increase in current density). More significantly, the AMBs with NH4+ as charge carrier and PTCDA/Ti3C2Tx MXene anode provide excellent energy density and power density, cycle life, and flexibility. This work will provide strategy for the development of NH4+ storage materials and the design of AMBs.

In lunar science, volatiles are defined as chemical elements and unstable compounds, evaporating, sublimating, or flowing in other ways at low temperature. At moderate temperature, volatiles transfers its flowing elements from solid materials to coexisting gas phases. Such substances include S, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Ag, Cd, In, Te, Hg, Ti, Pb, Bi, and halogens (F, C L, Br, and I). These volatile substances are mainly added by small impactors, so they should be uniformly deposited in lunar regolith. In the permanently shaded regions (PSRs) of the lunar polar region, the extremely low temperature may allow the solar activity record to be kept longer. When the lunar soil is heated, it will release volatile elements in the form of gas, especially the particles injected into the lunar soil by the solar wind. In deeper lunar soil, it means that these particles were implanted in different periods of solar evolution. The study of regolith in polar PSRs may help to solve this problem, because it has not been widely heated and therefore may not be subjected to postimplantation modification. The research on volatiles detection in lunar polar region can help us confirm the content and distribution of water ice in the permanent shadow region of the lunar polar region, and the composition, distribution, source, transport and loss mechanism of other volatiles in this region, as well as the relationship between lunar soil in the polar region and the ancient solar wind environment, and the environment and mineral resources in the region. Chandrayaan-3 provided important assistance to the conceptualization of this project. At the end of the article, we discussed the lunar orbit.

This paper intends to construct a new multi-dimensional preference analysis model for learners by using the improved linear programming method of multi-dimensional preference analysis (LINMAP) to get the weight vector of attributes under the situation that the weights of attributes are completely unknown and for the uncertain multi-attribute decision-making problem that the elements of decision-making matrix are triangular fuzzy numbers, and the preference information is ordered pairs. The data of subjective or objective Civics education learning preferences are aggregated, and the statistical analysis of the data is carried out using SPSS.21 to generate the Civics education learning preference input degree weighting system. The results show that the offline behavioral input weight in the college Civics course is 0.5769, which is greater compared to the online input. And the attribute weights of course Civics preference are calculated to get Zmax = 2.29, Zmin = 0.73. Multiple feasible solutions can be obtained by taking any value between [0,1]. Based on the development law of the times, this paper makes a new thinking on ideological and political education and actively explores a new road suitable for the development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.

Objective·To comprehensively evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) to biliary tract cancer (BTC), and provide a basis for better clinical application.Methods·Clinical studies on the diagnostic value of cfDNA to BTC were collected by searching eight databases from inception to April 2023. The studies were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and then data was extracted. The threshold effects were assessed with Spearman′s rank correlation analysis, and heterogeneity among the included studies was analyzed by using Cochran′s Q test and I2 test. A bivariate mixed-effects model was fitted, and statistics such as overall sensitivity, specificity, and area under the curve (AUC) were calculated to determine the diagnostic performance. The subgroup analyses were carried out based on the study type, sample size, detection method, sample source, and diagnostic reference standard.Results·A total of 28 diagnosis tests were included, all of which were evaluated as medium-high quality by using Diagnostic Accuracy Studies Tool Version 2 (QUADAS-2). The presence of threshold effects was found by using the Spearman rank correlation analysis. The pooled sensitivity was 0.80 (95%CI 0.67‒0.88), and specificity was 0.96 (95%CI 0.92‒0.98), positive likelihood ratio (PLR) was 22.7 (95%CI 9.4‒55.2), negative likelihood ratio (NLR) was 0.21 (95%CI 0.12‒0.36), and diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) was 108 (95%CI 31‒374), respectively. The AUC of the summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curve was 0.96 (95%CI 0.94‒0.98), demonstrating the high accuracy of cfDNA in the diagnosis of BTC. The results of subgroup analyses suggested that the accuracy and sensitivity of choosing different testing methods and sample sources varied.Conclusion·The detection of cfDNA has high sensitivity and specificity in diagnosing BTC, and is suitable for the patients suspected to be malignant after screening with imaging tests and conventional tumor markers. However, the standardization and uniformity of detection methods and sample sources still need to be further standardized by conducting clinical studies on a wider population.

Objective To explore the effectiveness of free-examination system for clinical trial subjects in hospital clinical trials. Methods Based on the hospital information system, a free-examination system for clinical trial subjects was designed and implemented, and the effects were compared before and after the application of the system. Results After the application of the free-examination system for clinical trial subjects, the number of protocol violations related to examinations and the average time of financial settlement reduced, so the work efficiency and satisfaction of all parties involved in clinical trials were improved compared with those before application. Conclusion For the participants in this clinical trial, the free-examination system is easy to operate and can improve management level and work efficiency of the clinical trial.

Abstract In a solid-state photonics-based Lidar, all essential components can be integrated into a silicon chip. It is simple and effective to use a tunable laser source to implement Lidar’s beam steering. However, how to effectively increase the steering angle in a small wavelength tuning range is usually a key challenge due to the limited material and waveguide dispersion. In Silicon-on-insulator waveguide, we design a novel solid-state Lidar using two trans-electrical (TE) polarized beams counter-propagating towards each other. Two corresponding output beams from just a single grating coupler (GC) can be seamlessly combined to double the beam steering angle. Furthermore, a low-priced solid-state Lidar is designed for TE polarized beams counter-propagating towards each other by using wavelength division multiplexed laser array.

"The copolymer of deproteinized natural rubber (DPNR) grafted acrylonitrile (AN) and acrylic acid (AA) [DPNR-g-P(AN-co-AA)] was synthesized by emulsion grafting copolymerization, using DPNR as matrix, AN and AA as monomers in the initiation system of tert-butyl hydroperoxide and tetra-ethylenepentamine. The grafting of AN and AA monomers was verified by infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and the effects of total monomers amount and m(AN) / m(AA) on the mechanical properties of modified DPNR were studied, as well as the effect of healing conditions on its self-healing property. The results showed that under the conditions of a total monomer amount of 10 phr (in terms of dry rubber mass) and m(AN) / m(AA) of 10/1, the maximum tensile strength and elongation at break of DPNR-g-P(AN-co-AA) were 9.22 MPa and 1 365%, respectively, which were 376% and 133% of the initial DPNR. In addition, the hydrogen bond interaction between polyacrylic acid segments in the system enabled DPNR-g-P(AN-co-AA) to have excellent self-healing property, reaching a self-healing efficiency of 75.3% after 2 h of healing at 50 ℃. Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder, and accumulating evidence suggests a link between dysbiosis of the gut microbiota and the onset and progression of PD. In our previous investigations, we discovered that intraperitoneal administration of glucuronomannan oligosaccharides (GMn) derived from Saccharina japonica exhibited neuroprotective effects in a 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-induced PD mouse model. However, the complicated preparation process, difficulties in isolation, and remarkably low yield have constrained further exploration of GMn. In this study, we optimized the degradation conditions in the preparation process of GMn through orthogonal experiments. Subsequently, an MPTP-induced PD model was established, followed by oral administration of GMn. Through a stepwise optimization, we successfully increased the yield of GMn, separated from crude fucoidan, from 1~2/10,000 to 4~8/1000 and indicated the effects on the amelioration of MPTP-induced motor deficits, preservation of dopamine neurons, and elevation in striatal neurotransmitter levels. Importantly, GMn mitigated gut microbiota dysbiosis induced by MPTP in mice. In particular, GM2 significantly reduced the levels of Akkermansia, Verrucomicrobiota, and Lactobacillus, while promoting the abundance of Roseburia and Prevotella compared to the model group. These findings suggest that GM2 can potentially suppress PD by modulating the gut microbiota, providing a foundation for the development of a novel and effective anti-PD marine drug.

The vulnerability assessment method is mainly used to explore the security process of a system, with wide application in the fields of hazard management, ecology and engineering. It has been gradually concerned by the oil and gas pipeline industry in recent years. Therefore, a comprehensive survey was conducted for the concepts of vulnerability, the concept development and evolution process of vulnerability was clarified,and the main connotations of vulnerability applied in different fields presently were summarized. The qualitative and quantitative vulnerability assessment methods at domestic and abroad were compared, with their advantages, disadvantages, applicable scope and key issues analyzed.Meanwhile, the application of vulnerability assessment methods in the oil and gas pipeline industry was sorted out in detail from the 3 aspects of vulnerability connotation, assessment index system and assessment method. The results indicate that the vulnerability assessment method varies with the research object and the disciplinary perspective in terms of the concept definition, the actual connotation and the assessment method. In the oil and gas pipeline industry, the vulnerability assessment method is still in the preliminary stage, and it is urgent to establish a unified vulnerability concept and assessment system for the oil and gas pipeline system. Compared with foreign research, the development of pipeline vulnerability research in China is relatively lagging, the assessment methods are mainly qualitative or semi-quantitative, and no scientific standard is available for the classification of index grades and the determination of index scores. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on the establishment and improvement of quantitative assessment models in the future.

Among the 10 front of package （FOP） labels for kid-friendly foods worldwide, Nutri-score labeling, health star rating system and especially warning labels could significantly guide children and their parents to reduce unhealthy food consumption. In fact, the marketing information on the front of food package could however easily interfere with consumers' health decisions based on FOP labels. It was found that it is feasible to design FOP labels in China based on the experience of warning labels in combination with the mandatory nutrients on the nutrition information list. And it is suggested to clarify the usage format of FOP labels and standardize the labeling of marketing information. In addition, the nutrition literacy of school-age children and parents of preschool children should be improved to screen food packaging information and use FOP labels.

Conventional kinesin-1 is the primary anterograde motor in cells for transporting cellular cargo. While there is a consensus that the C-terminal tail of kinesin-1 inhibits motility, the molecular architecture of a full-length autoinhibited kinesin-1 remains unknown. Here, we combine crosslinking mass spectrometry (XL-MS), electron microscopy (EM), and AlphaFold structure prediction to determine the architecture of the full-length autoinhibited kinesin-1 homodimer (kinesin-1 heavy chain [KHC]) and kinesin-1 heterotetramer (KHC bound to kinesin light chain 1 [KLC1]). Our integrative analysis shows that kinesin-1 forms a compact, bent conformation through a break in coiled-coil 3. Moreover, our XL-MS analysis demonstrates that kinesin light chains stabilize the folded inhibited state rather than inducing a new structural state. Using our structural model, we show that disruption of multiple interactions between the motor, stalk, and tail domains is required to activate the full-length kinesin-1. Our work offers a conceptual framework for understanding how cargo adaptors and microtubule-associated proteins relieve autoinhibition to promote activation.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic degenerative disease afflicting millions globally. Despite the development of numerous pharmacological treatments for OA, a substantial unmet need for effective therapies persists. The RANK/RANKL signaling pathway has emerged as a promising therapeutic target for OA, owing to its pivotal role in regulating osteoclast differentiation and activity. In this comprehensive review, we aim to elucidate the relevant mechanisms of OA mediated by RANK/RANKL signaling, including bone remodeling, inflammation, cartilage degradation, osteophyte formation, and pain sensitization. Furthermore, we discuss and summarize the cutting-edge strategies targeting RANK/RANKL signaling for OA therapy, encompassing approaches such as gene-based interventions and biomaterials-aided pharmacotherapy. In addition, we highlight the prevailing challenges associated with pharmacological OA treatments and explore potential future directions, approached through a clinical-translational lens.

The opposed wall-fired boiler has been widely employed in power plants in China due to its adaptability. However, the airflow in the same layer burners from the large air box is uneven, affecting the combustion characteristics of pulverized coal and causing the corrosion and slagging of the water-cooled wall. In this study, the numerical simulation is performed on a 600 MW wall-fired boiler to investigate the air distribution and flow characteristics of each burner and the secondary air duct under variable boiler loads (100%, 75%, 50%, and 30%), which would provide the basis for optimization of the secondary air box. The effectiveness of the modified burner, over-fire air (OFA) nozzle, and secondary air duct is demonstrated through the numerical simulation. The results indicate that the burner and OFA nozzle exhibit distinct flow deviation characteristics within the original air box. Specifically, the burner demonstrates a flow deviation ranging from 2% to 4%, whereas the OFA nozzle exhibits a flow deviation ranging from 10% to 35%. Integrating poly air rings into the burners and OFA nozzles on the sidewall separately addresses the issue of non-uniform flow distribution of the OFA nozzle while concurrently improving the air flow rate on both sides of the burners and OFA nozzles. The main air duct could be divided into three smaller air ducts by installing two deflectors at the corner of the secondary air duct. This scheme effectively decreases the pressure drops at the corner interface from 337.4 to 254.3 Pa. The findings of this study could have the potential to offer scientific insights into and recommendations for the optimal functioning of the boiler system.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is characterized by extensive metastasis and poor prognosis. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been shown to play important roles in ESCC. However, the specific roles of lncRNAs in ESCC tumorigenesis and metastasis remain largely unknown. Here, we investigate LINC01088 in ESCC. Differentially expressed LINC01088 levels are screened from the GEO database. We find that LINC01088 is expressed at low level in collected clinical samples and is correlated with vascular tumor emboli and poor overall survival time of patients after surgery. LINC01088 inhibits not only ESCC cell migration and invasion in vitro, but also tumorigenesis and metastasis in vivo. Mechanistically, LINC01088 directly interacts with nucleophosmin (NPM1) and increases the expression of NPM1 in the nucleoplasm compared to that in the nucleolar region. LINC01088 decreases mutant p53 (mut-p53) expression and rescues the transcriptional activity of p53 by targeting the NPM1-HDM2-p53 axis. LINC01088 may also interfere with the DNA repair function of NPM1 by affecting its translocation. Our results highlight the potential of LINC01088 as a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target of ESCC.

With the rapid development of civil aviation industry, more and more tasks are required to fuel the aircraft. At present, the aircraft refueling task is mainly assigned to the refueling personnel by the dispatcher of the fuel supplier, one by one, according to the flight refueling information, after receiving the task, the refueling operator drives the refueling vehicle to the aircraft for refueling operation. The realization of electronic, information and big data analysis technology has gradually opened up the information channel of refueling system. Based on a large number of multi-dimensional data, according to the characteristics of aircraft refueling operation, an intelligent dispatching method for aircraft refueling vehicle is provided, which can automatically assign refueling tasks, avoid flight delays and the resulting serious waste of resources and can reduce the workload of the dispatcher. Through the intelligent dispatch, refueling resources can be reasonably allocated to ensure the timely refueling of aircraft and smooth completion of flight support tasks.

As the core basic equipment of the industrial control system, PLC is widely used in important national infrastructure and various industrial control fields. It is the top priority to realize the transformation from made in China to intelligent manufacturing in China to control the industrial site independently, safely, stably and reliably. In this context, domestic PLC has a strong and rapid development momentum, especially in high-end application fields such as aerospace, national defense and military industry. There is an urgent demand for domestic high-performance PLC products. Due to the late development and less application of domestic large-scale PLC, how to evaluate the performance of domestic PLC and whether it can meet the industrial field application is lack of unified standards and evaluation methods. In view of this problem, a set of comprehensive test platform for domestic high-performance PLC is designed. Two mainstream domestic PLCs are selected for quantitative comparison of horizontal parameters with a foreign mainstream product. The key performance indicators and evaluation methods of high-end PLC are proposed. By building a hardware in the loop virtual industrial scene, the ability of PLC to meet the application is tested and compared. The effectiveness of the test platform is verified through a test example, which provides a basis for the evaluation of domestic high-performance PLC Choose to provide reference, promote the normalization, standardization and scale of domestic PLC, and help the high-quality development of Industry 4.0.

As an important irritant trace gas in the atmosphere, ammonia (NH3) significantly impacts human health and environment. Bottom-up emission inventories are widely used to estimate ammonia emissions and their geographical distributions over China. However, high uncertainties are still associated with emission inventories due to inaccurate emission factors used. The Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm is a population-based stochastic optimization algorithm used to solve complicated optimization problems. We quantify NH3 emissions and lifetime from Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) NH3 observations together with MERRA-2 wind fields based on the DE algorithm. Two inland cities, Urumchi and Golmud in China, are chosen to study of the NH3 emissions based on the distributions of NH3 total columns and wind fields. The NH3 emissions rate estimated is about 5.84 × 10−11 and 4.19 × 10−11 kg·m−2s−1 in Urumchi and in the Golmud area from May to September from 2008 to 2023, respectively. The lifetime of NH3 estimated in the two areas is 4.31 and 9.19 h, respectively. We compare the NH3 emissions and lifetime estimated in this study with the values in other studies, and the results show the reliability of the method used. This work is one of few quantitative studies of NH3 emissions from cities using satellite observations in China.

Red mud was modified by impregnation with Co element loading. The Co-RM catalyst was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and UV full-band scanning. The results showed that the modified Co-RM catalyst successfully loaded the Co element and formed an irregular pore structure on the surface, thereby increasing the number of active sites of the red mud catalyst and effectively improving the degradation efficiency of tetracycline. Under the optimal conditions of a catalyst dosage of 0.3 g/L, a persulfate dosage of 3 g/L, a reaction temperature of 50 °C, and a pH value of 7, a removal rate of 50 mg/L of tetracycline can be achieved: 89.5% after 90 min. The effects of common anions and humic acids in water, as well as radical quenchers (anhydrous ethanol and tert-butanol), on the degradation of tetracycline were investigated. The results showed that Cl−, CO32−, HCO3−, H2PO4−, NO32−, HPO42−, and humic acids showed inhibitory effects on the degradation of tetracycline, while SO42− showed a promoting effect on the degradation of tetracycline. The free radical quenching experiment showed that the most important free radicals that can degrade tetracycline in the system are sulfate radicals.
