Dendrobium, a medicinal and food plant of high medicinal and economic value, is being cultivated in various regions across China. Based on years of cultivation experience, we explored effective cultivation measures for Dendrobium and analyzed the role of green prevention and control technologies in its cultivation. The experiment demonstrated that the green prevention and control system effectively manages Dendrobium diseases. This provides foundational data for the future application of biopesticides in Dendrobium cultivation and facilitates the integration of green irrigation technology with biopesticide practices. Ultimately, this approach aims to reduce the use of chemical pesticides and minimize environmental pollution in Dendrobium cultivation, particularly in volcanic regions.

Whether or not the tight oil in the Triassic Yanchang Formation of the Ordos Basin is controlled by structural factors is a controversial issue, the relationship between the structural factors of the strata and the distribution of tight oil is limited to the study of current structures. The traditional view is that structural factors have no obvious control over the formation and distribution of the oil reservoir. Taking the Chang 8 member of the Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Ordos Basin as an example, this paper studies respectively the burial of strata-hydrocarbon generation history of the individual well and the structural evolution history of strata in the basin by using software tools of the Genex burial-hydrocarbon generation history restoration and TemisFlow evolution of stratigraphic structures. It is considered that the hydrocarbon generation period of the source rock of the Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Ordos Basin is from early Middle Jurassic to end of Early Cretaceous. By reconstructing the evolution and structure of the Chang 8 member during the hydrocarbon accumulation period, combined with a comprehensive analysis on the distributional characteristics of the Chang 8 oil reservoir, we found the palaeoslopes and palaeohighs of the Chang 8 reservoir to represent areas in which tight oils were distributed. Palaeo-structural characteristics of the target layer exhibit control over the Chang 8 reservoir. The new theory underlying tight oil exploration, which is based on the recovery of the palaeogeomorphology of the target layer during the hydrocarbon generation period, incorporates the vital roles of key controlling factors over tight oil accumulation, so that the mind-set on tight oil exploration in the Ordos Basin has evolved.

Generalized hypercube is an interconnection network topology that exhibits excellent performance and symmetry; it facilitates the expansion of capacity and the upgrading of resources to accommodate larger demands; the domination parameters serve as a crucial foundation for the analysis and quantification of the dependability of interconnection networks. In this paper, we explore the structure and properties of generalized hypercube networks to establish the bounds of signed domination numbers and Italian domination numbers. We also present a vertex set partitioning approach to investigate these parameters for some small dimensional generalized hypercube networks and hypercube networks. Furthermore, a Vizing-type conjecture was proposed that satisfies the signed domination number and Italian domination number of generalized hypercube networks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Sexually dimorphic hearing sensitivity has evolved in many vertebrate species, and the sex with a larger body size typically shows more sensitive hearing. However, generalizing this association is controversial. Research on sexually dimorphic hearing sensitivity contributes to an understanding of auditory sense functions, adaptations, and evolution among species. Therefore, the hypothesized association between body size and hearing needs further validation, especially in specific animal groups. In this study, we assessed hearing sensitivity by measuring auditory brainstem responses (ABRs) in both sexes of 3‐year‐old Chinese softshell turtles (Pelodiscus sinensis). In this species, male bodies are larger than those of female, and individuals spend most of their lives in the mud at the bottom of freshwater habitats. We found that for both sexes, the hearing sensitivity bandwidth was 0.2–0.9 kHz. Although males were significantly larger than females, no significant differences in ABR thresholds or latencies were found between males and females at the same stimulus frequency. These results indicate that P. sinensis hearing is only sensitive to low‐frequency (typically <0.9 kHz) sound signals and that sexually dimorphic hearing sensitivity is not a trait that has evolved in P. sinensis. Physiological and environmental reasons may account for P. sinensis acoustic communication via low‐frequency sound signals and the lack of sexually dimorphic hearing sensitivity in these benthic turtles. The underlying mechanisms of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and effective treatment strategies remain unclear. DKD progression is closely associated with abnormal iron metabolism and ferroptosis in vivo. Leeches, used in traditional Chinese medicine for promoting blood circulation and resolving blood stasis, are utilized to treat diabetes and its associated complications. Leeches effectively antagonize oxidative stress injury and exert protective effects on renal function. However, whether leeches can inhibit ferroptosis by modulating oxidative stress and iron metabolism remains unclear. To investigate the therapeutic potential of leech granules in DKD and, specifically, their effects on ferroptosis. We used a mouse model of DKD. The mice were treated with leech granules via gavage. Component identification and analysis of leech granules were performed using UPLC-MS, and efficacy was assessed by histopathology and analysis of blood glucose, lipids, and renal function. Additionally, the pharmacological mechanisms of leech granules were explored via proteomics, immunohistochemical staining, western blotting, and cell culture. Proteomic analysis showed that iron metabolism was dysregulated and ferroptosis increased in DKD mice. Leech granules significantly reduced iron accumulation and renal pathological damage, decreased ROS levels, upregulated GSH levels, and inhibited ferroptosis in the kidneys of DKD mice. Furthermore, in vitro cellular experiments demonstrated that leech granules could inhibit erastin-induced ferroptosis and protect renal cells. The regulation of renal iron metabolism and inhibition of ferroptosis mediates the therapeutic effect of leech granules on DKD. Leech granules represent a promising approach for DKD treatment.
