Abstract

This paper studies the salvo attack problem for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against a maneuvering target, and a guidance scheme based on distributed model predictive control (DMPC) is presented to achieve cooperative interception with constraints of terminal impact angle and no-fly zone (or obstacle) avoidance. Firstly, for guaranteeing the synchronization of UAVs in calculating their acceleration commands, the assumed predictive trajectories are introduced, whose deviation from the actual state trajectories is limited by the designed compatibility constraints. Secondly, based on the velocity-obstacle model, the obstacle avoidance constraints are presented, and for guaranteeing the convergence of impact time and impact angles, the auxiliary controller and terminal ingredients are developed, which complete the design of DMPC cooperative guidance scheme. Subsequently, the rigorous proof for the convergence of the proposed guidance scheme is provided. Based on the above design, a complete implementation process of the guidance scheme is presented, in which each UAV uses the particle swarm optimization algorithm to solve the preprocessed local optimization problem, and only the shared information among neighbors is utilized for calculation. Finally, the numerical simulations are conducted under diverse cases, which demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed guidance scheme when solving cooperative interception problems with terminal angle and obstacle avoidance constraints. Abstract

The rapid development of mechanoluminescence (ML)‐based stress‐sensing has drawn wide concern for real‐time stress‐visualized detection. While the traditional ML‐intensity‐dependent stress‐sensing is challenged in terms of reliability and stress‐sensing visualization, ratiometric ML featured with stress‐dependent ML color variation provides an alternative solution. Herein, a strategy based on the manipulation of initial ML threshold of the individual phosphor via the flexible sandwich structure to realize ratiometric ML has been proposed. The two independent ML materials with different stress‐sensitivity can be incorporated into a sandwich structure to construct ratiometric ML, where the stress‐dependent ML color variation can be feasibly modified by means of judicious adjustment of sandwich structure. Abstract

In view of the group tracking-containment control problem of heterogeneous unmanned swarm with unknown targets maneuver, a distributed hierarchical cooperative control framework is proposed based on output regulation strategy. All kinds of agents in the system adopt heterogeneous model. While the leaders track the target output in the expected output formation, the output of the followers are driven to converge to the convex hull of the leaders. Based on observer theory, consensus theory, and adaptive control theory, a distributed tracking containment control protocol with time-varying coupling weights is designed, which overcomes the dependence of control input on global information and realizes the effective suppression of unknown control input of targets. The feasibility conditions of the desired output formation are further analyzed, and the stability of the closed-loop system is proven by Lyapunov theory. Finally, simulation example verifies that the proposed control strategy can realize the target tracking-containment of unmanned aerial vehicle-unmanned ground vehicle heterogeneous group formation. Abstract

Real-time visualization of stress-sensing can be potentially realized using mechanoluminescence (ML) materials that are able to transform mechanical stimulates into luminescence. The unsatisfactory ML brightness, however, restricts such applications of ML materials mainly to dark-field scenarios. Thanks to the low UV proportion in the solar spectrum, a UV ML material may afford a suitable signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) to support stress-sensing in bright-field environments. Herein, ultraviolet-B (UVB) ML materials with visible-blind features have been developed for the first time to enable a bright-field visualization of stress-sensing. Specifically, an energy-focusing process has been applied via a sensitization strategy to reinforce the ML intensity in the UVB region at the cost of that in other regions, which helps achieving a better SNR for UVB ML materials. Abstract

Featured with a tunable excitation/emission wavelength and excellent physicochemical stability, inorganic fluorescent materials are widely used in the fields of anti-counterfeiting. Here, we design a multi-stimuli-responsive dynamic fluorescence and phosphorescence anti-counterfeiting material by introducing Eu3+ions in NaGdGeO4: Bi3+to tailor the trap structure. The photoluminescence (PL), long persistent luminescence (LPL), and photo-stimulated luminescence (PSL) colors of NaGdGeO4: Bi3+, Eu3+can be switched by varying the excitation modes (ultraviolet, near infrared, and X-ray light). Especially, the LPL and PSL colors of NaGdGeO4: Bi3+, Eu3+vary with increasing decay and stimulation times. In addition, X-ray excitation ensures the specificity of the luminescence of NaGdGeO4: Bi3+, Eu3+compared with ultraviolet excitation. This rapidly-changing-color fluorescent material offers the possibility of sophisticated anti-counterfeiting applications in the future.
