K1−xNaxNbO3 (KNN) powders were prepared using a molten salt method, and their piezo-catalysis performances were improved by controlling their composition and introducing defects. KNN powders exhibit a short rod shape and are composed of stacked cubic particles. By adjusting the K/Na ratio in the reactant, the K/Na ratio in the actual composition of KNN approaches 1:1, which is near the morphotropic phase boundary of KNN. Samples with this composition exhibit the optimum piezo-catalysis performance on degradation of RhB solution, with a degradation efficiency constant (K) value of 83.4 × 10–3/min. Furthermore, the effects of oxygen vacancies on piezo-catalytic performance are studied. K value of the sample annealed in N2 has doubled, reaching a maximum of 162.6 × 10–3/min. The COVID-19 pandemic has not only brought a virus to the public, but also spawned a large number of rumors. The Internet has made it very convenient for media websites to record and spread rumors, while the official government, as the subject of rumor control, can release rumor-refutation information to reduce the harm of rumors. Therefore, this study took into account information-carrying variables, such as media websites and official governments, and expanded the classic ISR rumor propagation model into a five-dimensional, two-level rumor propagation model that interacts between the main body layer and the information layer. Based on the constructed model, the mean field equation was obtained. Through mathematical analysis, the equilibrium point and the basic reproduction number of rumors were calculated. At the same time, stability analysis was conducted using the Routh Hurwitz stability criterion. Finally, a numerical simulation verified that when the basic regeneration number was less than 1, rumors disappeared in the system; when the basic regeneration number was greater than 1, rumors continued to exist in the system and rumors erupted. The executive power of the official government to dispel rumors, that is, the effectiveness of the government, played a decisive role in suppressing the spread of rumors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Programmed death receptor‐1 monoclonal antibodies (PD‐1 mAbs) have been applied in the treatment of different kinds of malignant tumors. However, a streamlined and expedited evaluation method for certain tumor types without approved indications is currently lacking in terms of their expandable applications. In this study, a novel evaluation method for the expandability of PD‐1 mAb was established for the first time. Clinical trial data of PD‐1 mAb in first‐line treatment for advanced gastric cancer were collected for comparison. For the first time, the clinical trial outcomes were analyzed through the entropy weight method and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method to evaluate the effectiveness and safety. The accessibility was assessed using the World Health Organization/Health Action International (WHO/HAI) standard survey method. Combining the results of effectiveness, safety, and accessibility, the recommendation for expandability of PD‐1 mAb was provided. Tislelizumab ranks seventh in effectiveness, higher than the chemotherapy group and the pembrolizumab group, and ranks fourth in safety evaluation and first in the combination chemotherapy groups. The annual drug cost of tislelizumab is 0.497 times the annual household income for urban residents of Shaanxi Province. 56.67% of medical institutions are equipped with tislelizumab in Shaanxi Province. These results indicate the promising efficacy and safety profile of tislelizumab in combination with chemotherapy as a first‐line treatment option for advanced gastric cancer. Notably, tislelizumab emerges as a more accessible alternative to sintilimab and boasts greater affordability compared to nivolumab and pembrolizumab. Consequently, tislelizumab should be considered a viable option for expandable application in first‐line treatment of advanced gastric cancer, contingent upon clinical necessity. Objective Growing evidence suggests a crossover in genetic susceptibility to schizophrenia and depression. We aimed to investigate the association of the rs1800795 and rs1800796 polymorphisms of the IL-6 gene with schizophrenia and depression in the Han Chinese population, combined with IL-6 serum levels. Methods Gene sequencing and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were performed on 113 subjects with schizophrenia, 114 subjects with depression, and 110 healthy controls. Results Our findings showed that IL-6 concentrations in schizophrenia and depression groups were significantly higher than in the control group. The rs1800796 CC genotype and C allele were significantly associated with depression (P =.012 and P <.05, respectively). The rs1800796 CC and CG genotype was significantly associated with chronic schizophrenia (P =.020 and P =.009, respectively). Regarding the rs1800795 polymorphism, only one case of CG genotype was detected. The remainder were of the GG genotype. Conclusion The IL-6 rs1800796 might serve as a protective factor for depression and schizophrenia in the Han Chinese population. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The effects of geometric configuration and external force on piezocatalytic properties of BaTiO3 were investigated through experimental and finite element analyses. The simulated results indicate that the piezopotential is linearly related to the sample length of Z-axis of BaTiO3 and the magnitude of applied stress. Then, BaTiO3 single crystal fibers were prepared by using a hydrothermal method with K2Ti4O9 nanowires as the templet. By adjusting the hydrothermal temperature and Ba/Ti ratio in the precursor, BaTiO3 fibers exhibit different crystallinity and morphologies. Compared with BaTiO3 fibers with low aspect ratio, BaTiO3 fibers with high aspect ratio exhibit high piezocatalytic efficiency. Furthermore, the external force is tailored by changing the ultrasonic power during the piezocatalytic reaction. The increase in ultrasonic power is beneficial to improve piezocatalytic efficiency. Therefore, this work provides further insights on the relationship between piezocatalytic performances and morphology of catalysts as well as their working conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
