Abstract

We report the first result on Ge-76 neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment at China Jinping Underground Laboratory. A mass of 994 g p-type point-contact high purity germanium detector has been installed to search the neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg*day has been analyzed. The wideband spectrum from 500 keV to 3 MeV was obtained and the average event rate at the 2.039 MeV energy range is about 0.012 count per keV per kg per day. The half-life of Ge-76 neutrinoless double beta decay has been derived based on this result as: T 1/2 > 6.4*10^22 yr (90% C.L.). An upper limit on the effective Majorana-neutrino mass of 5.0 eV has been achieved. 26. Clinical significance of circulating tumor cells and their homeobox gene B7 expression in patients with bone and soft tissue sarcomas

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of the count and type of circulating tumor cell (CTC) and the expression of homeobox gene B7 (HOXB7) gene in the CTC in patients with bone and soft tissue sarcomas. Methods We retrospectively analyzed the data of 40 patients with newly diagnosed bone and soft tissue sarcomas from May, 2017 to July, 2019 at Chongqing University Cancer Hospital. After the diagnosis, all the patients were examined for peripheral blood CTC using the CanPatrolTM System, and the isolated CTC was characterized using a multiple messenger RNA in situ analysis (MRIA). The expression of HOXB7 gene in the CTC was detected using a RNA probe. The correlations of CTC counts, cell type and the expression level of HOXB7 gene with clinical stages and metastasis of bone and soft tissue sarcomas were analyzed. Results of the 40 patients with sarcoma, CTC including epithelial CTC, mesenchymal CTC (M-CTC), and biophenotypic epithelial/mesenchymal CTC were detected in 37 patients before treatment. The CTC counts correlated significantly with Enneking stages (P=0.002). The number of CTC and the ratio of mesenchymal CTC were significantly greater in stage Ⅲ patients than in stage Ⅱ patients (P=0.040 and 0.001, respectively). Positive expression of HOXB7 in the CTC was detected in 56.9% of the stage Ⅲ patients, a rate significantly higher than that in patients in other stages (P=0.003). Subgroup analysis of osteosarcoma showed that the positivity rate of HOXB7 in the CDC was significantly higher in stage Ⅲ patients than in stage Ⅱ patients (P=0.025). Conclusion In patients with bone and soft tissue sarcomas, the counts and types of peripheral blood CTC and HOXB7 expression in the CDC are closely correlated with metastasis and clinical Enneking stages, and can serve as indicators for assessing tumor metastasis, therapeutic effect and prognosis of the patients.

Abstract

Based on two different components of lubricating oil, this paper analyzes the filtration efficiency, ash accumulation speed, vehicle WLTC emissions, fuel consumption, and CT scan on a National V emission standard engine equipped with a cGPF aftertreatment device. The results show that both oils can ensure that cGPF meets the emission and fuel consumption requirements of National VI emission standard, but oil F accumulates ash quickly before the ash accumulation of 33% in the discharge, which has a significant effect on PN reduction, and oil C accumulates ash faster after the accumulation of 33%. The effect of reducing the PN is accelerated. Oil F is based on a full calcium detergent system, which has a trend of first to slower for the collection efficiency; while oil C is based on a mixed Ca/Mg detergent system, which has a trend of first slowing and then fasting the collection efficiency. The critical point is generally about 33% of accumulated ash. For oil F, less ash is deposited in the front and middle of the cGPF, while more ash tends to deposit towards the outlet. In contrast, cGPF aged with Oil C has a relatively uniform deposition distribution.

The perspective regarding goblet cells and mucus has changed, with current evidence suggesting that they are not passive but play a positive role in maintaining intestinal tract immunity and mucosal homeostasis. Goblet cells could obtain luminal antigens, presenting them to the underlying antigen-presenting cells (APCs) that induces adaptive immune responses. Various immunomodulatory factors can promote the differentiation and maturation of goblet cells, and the secretion of mucin. The abnormal proliferation and differentiation of goblet cells, as well as the deficiency synthesis and secretion of mucins, result in intestinal mucosal barrier dysfunction. This review provides an extensive outline of the signaling pathways that regulate goblet cell proliferation and differentiation and control mucins synthesis and secretion to elucidate how altering these pathways affects goblet functionality. Furthermore, the interaction between mucins and goblet cells in intestinal mucosal immunology is described. Abstract

The Pt-chitosan-TiO2 charge transfer (CT) complex was synthesized via the sol-gel and impregnation method. The synthesized photocatalysts were thoroughly characterized, and their photocatalytic activity were evaluated toward H2 production through water reduction under visible-light irradiation. The effect of the preparation conditions of the photocatalysts (the degree of deacetylation of chitosan, addition amount of chitosan, and calcination temperature) on the photocatalytic activity was discussed. The optimal Pt-10%DD75-T200 showed a H2 generation rate of 280.4 μmol within 3 h. The remarkable visible-light photocatalytic activity of Pt-chitosan-TiO2 was due to the CT complex formation between chitosan and TiO2, which extended the visible-light absorption and induced the ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT). The photocatalytic mechanism of Pt-chitosan-TiO2 was also investigated. This paper outlines a new and facile pathway for designing novel visible-light-driven photocatalysts that are based on TiO2 modified by polysaccharide biomass wastes that are widely found in nature. Abstract

Pretreatment inflammatory indexes including neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), lymphocyte-monocyte ratio (LMR), platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) are associated with poor outcomes in various malignant tumors, but their prognostic value in patients with osteosarcoma is poorly known. This was a retrospective study of patients with osteosarcoma treated between 01/2010 and 12/2013 at Chongqing University Cancer Hospital. Follow-up was calculated from the date of initial histological diagnosis to December 2018 or death or loss of follow-up. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was used to determine the NLR, LMR, PLR, and SII cut-off values (low (L) vs. high (H)). The Kaplan-Meier method was used for survival analysis. Abstract

Smart grid has great application prospects in the power industry. How to extend network life has become a research hotspot in recent years. This paper improves the wireless sensor network LEACH algorithm by analyzing the business requirements of the Smart grid. First, the remaining energy and node density are taken into account in the cluster head election, to ensure the rationality of the cluster head selection. Then, a non-uniform clustering mechanism is adopted to construct the cluster radius of different sizes when clustering. The multi-hop mode is used to transmit data to the base station, and the distance between the cluster head nodes and the remaining energy are used as the selection basis of the next-hop relay node to achieve the purpose of equalizing the energy load. Simulation results show that compared with LEACH and LEACH-DC algorithms, the proposed algorithm can effectively balance node energy consumption and extend network life cycle.
