The authors thank the discusser for the attention and interests on our previous work, entitled "Seismic damage analysis due to near‐fault multipulse ground motion" (referred to as the original paper/work in the following text). To demonstrate the increased seismic demands required by multipulse ground motions compared to non‐ and single‐pulse ground motions, three cases were illustrated in the original work, including frame structures, a soil slope and a concrete dam. The discusser, Dr M.Amin Hariri‐Ardebili, raised concerns on the seismic response of the dam, together with the optimal intensity measure of ground motions. Specifically, four subissues are involved, including effectiveness of the numerical model of dam, the damage index for dam, the selection strategy for input ground motions, and the ground motion intensity measures. Detailed responses to these issues are provided. In short, the main conclusion in the original paper that the multipulse ground motions potentially cause more severe damage compared to non‐ and single‐pulse ground motions is reliable. A novel scalar ground motion intensity measure (IM), termed the energy‐frequency parameter, is proposed based on the Hilbert‐Huang transform. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed IM, the correlation analysis between the engineering demand parameter (EDP) and energy‐frequency parameter is performed using 1992 recorded ground motions, in which EDP is the maximum inter‐storey drift of structures obtained by nonlinear time‐history analysis. Results show that the energy‐frequency parameter has a strong linear correlation with EDP at natural logarithm, and this correlation is applicable for various structural fundamental periods. We also verified that the lognormal cumulative distribution function can characterize the energy‐frequency parameter‐based fragility function, which can further facilitate the application of the parameter in seismic risk analysis. Besides, the strong correlation between the energy‐frequency parameter and other IMs (such as PGA, PGV, PGD, CAV, Ia$I_{a}$, vrms$v_{rms}$, and SI) potentially makes the proposed IM widely applicable in seismic risk analysis. Moreover, since the energy‐frequency parameter depends only on the frequency‐domain characteristics of the ground‐motion signal, it may closely link to seismological theory and provide new insights into seismology engineering. The notorious polysulfide shuttle effect is a crucial factor responsible for the degradation of Li-S batteries. A good way to suppress the shuttle effect is to effectively anchor dissoluble lithium polysulfides (LPSs, Li2Sn) on appropriate substrates. Previous studies have revealed that Li of Li2Sn is prone to interact with the N of N-containing materials to form Li–N bonds. In this work, by means of density functional theory (DFT) computations, we explored the possibility to form Li bonds on ten different N-containing monolayers, including BN, C2N, C2N6S3, C9N4, a covalent triazine framework (CTF), g-C3N4, p-C3N4, C3N5, S-N2S, and T-N2S, by examining the adsorption behavior of Li2Sn (n = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8) on these two-dimensional (2D) anchoring materials (AMs), and investigated the performance of the formed Li bonds (if any) in inhibiting the shuttle effect. By comparing and analyzing the nitrogen content, the N-containing pore size, charge transfer, and Li bonds, we found that the N content and N-containing pore size correlate with the number of Li bonds, and the formed Li–N bonds between LPSs and AMs correspond well with the adsorption energies of the LPSs. The C9N4 and C2N6S3 monolayers were identified as promising AMs in Li-S batteries. From the view of Li bonds, this work provides guidelines for designing 2D N-containing materials as anchoring materials to reduce the shuttle effect in Li-S batteries, and thus improving the performance of Li-S batteries. Background: This study demonstrates differences in the distribution of multiple cardiovascular biomarkers between non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) and unstable angina (UA) patients. Diagnostic machine learning predictive models measured at the time of admission and 1/2 h post-admission, achieving competitive diagnostic predictive results., Objective: This study aims to explore the diagnostic value of changes in high-sensitivity cardiac troponin I (hs-cTnI) levels in patients with suspected NSTEMI., Methods: A total of 267 patients presented with chest pain, requiring confirmation of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) subtypes (NSTEMI vs. UA). Hs-cTnI and other cardiac markers, such as creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB) and Myoglobin (Myo), were analyzed. Machine learning techniques were employed to assess the application of hs-cTnI level changes in the clinical diagnosis of NSTEMI., Results: Levels of CK-MB, Myo, hs-cTnI measured at admission, hs-cTnI measured 1-2 h after admission, and NT-proBNP in NSTEMI patients were significantly higher than those in UA patients ( p < 0.001). There was a positive correlation between hs-cTnI and CK-MB, as well as Myo (R = 0.72, R = 0.51, R = 0.60). The optimal diagnostic model, Hybiome&#95;1/2h, demonstrated an F1-Score of 0.74, an AUROC of 0.96, and an AP of 0.89., Conclusions: This study confirms the significant value of hs-cTnI as a sensitive marker of myocardial injury in the diagnosis of NSTEMI. Continuous monitoring of hs-cTnI levels enhances the accuracy of distinguishing NSTEMI from UA. The models indicate that the Hybiome hs-cTnI assays perform comparably well to the Beckman assays in predicting NSTEMI. Moreover, incorporating hs-cTnI measurements taken 1-2 h post-admission significantly enhances the model's effectiveness.

Yeast peptides, which are small-molecule active peptides extracted from yeast proteins, are known for their antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. However, the effects of yeast peptide on suckling calves remain unclear. In this study, the effects of yeast peptide supplementation on the growth, diarrhea incidence, and immune function of calves during the suckling period were determined. Thirty newborn calves were randomly divided into two groups: the control group (CON) and the treatment group (AP), which received fresh pasteurized milk supplemented with yeast peptides (5 g/day). The experiment lasted for 49 days (7-56 days of age). The dry matter intake, body weight, diarrhea status, immune function, antioxidant capacity, and anti-inflammatory activity of the calves were analyzed. The AP group had higher dry matter intake, daily weight gain, and feed efficiency than the CON group ( P < 0.05). Moreover, the duration and frequency of diarrhea were significantly lower in the AP group than in the CON group ( P < 0.05). Furthermore, the immune, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory capabilities of the AP group were significantly higher than those of the CON group ( P < 0.05). Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease that predisposes to chronic damage and dysfunction of various organs, including leading to erectile dysfunction (ED) and asthenospermia. Literature suggests that ginseng plays an important role in the treatment and management of DM. Ginseng may have a therapeutic effect on the complications of DM-induced ED and asthenospermia. The study aimed to explore the mechanisms of ginseng in the treatment of DM-induced ED and asthenospermia following the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory of "treating different diseases with the same treatment." This study used network pharmacology and molecular docking to examine the potential targets and pharmacological mechanism of Ginseng for the treatment of DM-induced ED and asthenospermia. The chemical ingredients and targets of ginseng were acquired using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology database and analysis platform. The targets of DM, ED, and asthenospermia were extracted with the GeneCards and Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man databases. A protein-protein interaction network analysis was constructed. The Metascape platform was applied for analyzing the gene ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways. AutoDock Vina was used to perform molecular docking. Network pharmacology revealed that the main active components of the target of action were kaempferol, beta-sitosterol, ginsenoside rh2, stigmasterol, and fumarine. Core targets of the protein-protein interaction network included TNF, IL-1β, AKT1, PTGS2, BCL2, and JUN. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analysis showed that they were mainly involved in AGE-RAGE signaling pathway in diabetic complications, TNF signaling pathway, Lipid and atherosclerosis. The interactions of core active components and targets were analyzed by molecular docking.
