1D grain boundaries in transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are ideal for investigating the collective electron behavior in confined systems. However, clear identification of atomic structures at the grain boundaries, as well as precise characterization of the electronic ground states, have largely been elusive. Here, direct evidence for the confined electronic states and the charge density modulations at mirror twin boundaries (MTBs) of monolayer NbSe2, a representative charge‐density‐wave (CDW) metal, is provided. The scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) measurements, accompanied by the first‐principles calculations, reveal that there are two types of MTBs in monolayer NbSe2, both of which exhibit band bending effect and 1D boundary states. Moreover, the intrinsic CDW signatures of monolayer NbSe2 are dramatically suppressed as approaching an isolated MTB but can be either enhanced or suppressed in the MTB‐constituted confined wedges. Such a phenomenon can be well explained by the MTB‐CDW interference interactions. The results reveal the underlying physics of the confined electrons at MTBs of CDW metals, paving the way for the grain boundary engineering of the functionality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The main geological landform in southwest China is karst, and hydrological resources in the region are rich. The water resources in this region cannot be efficiently and rationally used due to the complex topography and difficulty in developing water resources, which has led to problems such as desertification and soil erosion. The most typical area of karst landforms is in Guizhou Province. A water management method for an interconnected river system network is proposed, taking Guiyang as an example. This study provides a foundation for China’s South-to-North Water Diversion Project and can improve socioeconomic conditions in China.

Field‐effect transistors (FETs) with ultra‐wide bandgap semiconductor Ga2O3 have been fabricated by physical vapor deposition with advantages of low cost, wafer scale, and rapid production. The insulator‐like pristine Ga2O3 is converted to semiconductor by co‐sputtering Sn with post‐annealing, which demonstrates a 5.6 × 107 times higher on‐state current. Importantly, this Sn‐doped Ga2O3 sample shows a high breakdown voltage near 500 V. Furthermore, a 4 inch array of Sn‐doped Ga2O3 FETs with high‐k Ta2O5 gate dielectric has been fabricated on a silicon substrate, successfully showing a large on‐current density of 1.3 mA mm−1, a high ION/IOFF of 2.5 × 106, and a low threshold voltage of 3.9 V, which are extracted from the average 350 devices. This work paves a promising way for Ga2O3‐based nanoelectronics to serve medium‐high voltage with low cost, rapid, and wafer‐scale production. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A significant way to promote the overall revitalization of the countryside is rural tourism. An important internal driving force to achieve the long-term vitality of the countryside is reflected in the development of village folk sports. By sharing resources, complementing each other, and coordinating with each other, the two should be integrated for development, which has been an important direction of rural construction. It is thought that village folk sports and rural tourism have the necessity to experience the process of integration of space, industry and service under the driving of social transformation, scientific and technological impetus, policy support, the endogenous needs of cultural development and the value needs of multiple subjects. The mechanism of their integrated development lies in the realization of the coordinated development of traditional cultural resources and modern tourism, as well as the driving of the re-integration and optimization of resources, elements, technologies and markets in rural areas. In accordance with the linkage of the development process between the two, some suggestions are proposed, such as strengthening the leading role of the government and the coordinated management of multiple entities; speeding up the integration of resources and creating a rural cultural and tourism industry cluster scenic spot; deepening the concept of integration and innovating the inheritance of folk sports culture; promoting the integration of science and technology, constructing a practical path for rural development enabled by digital technology.
