ObjectiveTo investigate the genetic information of 57 autosomal InDel loci （A-InDels） included in AGCU InDel 60 fluorescence detection kit in the Beichuan Qiang population of Sichuan Province and evaluate its application value in forensic medicine.MethodsA total of 200 unrelated healthy individuals from Beichuan Qiang population of Sichuan Province were typing detected by AGCU InDel 60 fluorescence detection kit. Allele frequencies and population genetic parameters of the 57 A-InDels were statistically analyzed and compared with the available data of 26 populations.ResultsAfter Bonferroni correction, there was no linkage disequilibrium between the 57 A-InDels, and all loci were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. Except for rs66595817 and rs72085595, the minor allele frequencies of 55 A-InDels were above 0.3. PIC ranged from 0.298 3 to 0.375 0, CDP was 1-2.974 8×10-24, CPEduo was 0.999 062 660, and CPEtrio was 0.999 999 999. The calculation of the genetic distance showed that Beichuan Qiang population had the closest genetic distances with Beijing Han and South China Han populations, but far away from African populations.ConclusionThe 57 A-InDels in AGCU InDel 60 fluorescence detection kit have a good genetic polymorphism in Beichuan Qiang population of Sichuan Province, which can be used as effective supplemental for individual identification and paternity identification in forensic medicine.

This study investigated non-instantaneous deteriorating items because not all products deteriorate immediately. In the high-tech product life cycle, the product demand increases linearly substantially in the growth stage and maintains a near-constant level in the maturity stage. This is a ramp-type demand rate. To satisfy the demand as shortages occur, partial backlogging is necessary. The advance-cash-credit payment scheme, comprising advance, cash, and credit payments, has gained popularity in business transactions to improve cash flow flexibility among supply chain participants. This study explored a partial backlogging inventory model with ramp-type demand for non-instantaneous deteriorating items under generalized payment. The proposed model also incorporated discounted cash flow analysis to account for the time value of the profit function. This study attempted to determine the optimal replenishment strategy to maximize the present value of the total profit. Finally, we conducted a sensitivity analysis to examine the efficacy of the proposed model and gain managerial insights. The optimal total profit rises with an increase in the permissible delay period and sale price but decreases with an increase in ordering and purchase costs. Then, the decision-maker can refer to the managerial insights to choose the appropriate parameter value for the operation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study investigated the online flow frequency among college students in regard to different internet activities, and analyzed the effect of flow frequency on internet addiction. This study surveyed 525 undergraduate internet users in Taiwan by using convenience sampling to question participants. In this paper, analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to examine the differences in usage activity regarding the level of flow frequency. To test the effects of the flow frequency factor on perceived internet addiction, multiple regression analysis was performed for the constructs of internet addiction from different internet usage activities. The analytical results indicate that online gaming by undergraduates in Taiwan reporting higher level of flow frequency than their primary internet activities and their flow frequency of online gaming will predict internet addiction.

Available alumina and active silicon in gibbsite bauxite are important indicators for the quality of bauxite. These two components are commonly determined by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES). In this method, available alumina in solution after digestion is determined first and active silicon is then determined after acid dissolution of the residue. However, because the solution is not easy to determine, and the residue cannot be digested completely, the results have poor reproducibility. By heating and acidifying the solution and taking Co as the internal standard, the conventional method can be improved upon. Active alumina and active silicon were simultaneously determined by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), and available alumina was quantified indirectly by calculation. The method precision (RSD) is greater than 3% (n=13) and the recoveries range from 97.0% to 102.6%. The results of international standard materials are consistent with the certified values. The proposed method solves the issues of the conventional method and improves the influence of the matrix effect and equipment drift on analytical results. This method can determine simultaneously active alumina and active silicon. The concept of active alumina can be used to comprehensively evaluate gibbsite bauxite and the adjustment of the production method of aluminum oxide.

For tin, tungsten, titanium and other elements not easily digested by acid, a suitable sample preparation method combined with Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) can help to improve the accuracy and efficiency. Polymetallic ore samples were melted with Na2O2 and then extracted by mixed leaching solution (hydrochloric acid-tartaric acid-hydrogen peroxide).15 major and minor elements including Cu, Pb, Zn, Sn, W and Ti were determined by ICP-OES using an internal standard method. The analytical lines of analyzed elements and the correction mode of the background were optimized. The effect of crucible contamination, solvent, Al and internal standard element on the results were systematically studied. The method has detection limits of 7-995 μg/g, recoveries of 90.3%-105.0% (in Table 4), and relative standard deviations (RSD, n=12) of 0.8%-6.6% (in Table 3) by the standard addition method. For five different types of polymetallic ores, the method has a wide test range (40 μg/g to 25%).

Different pretreatment methods should be used for quick and accurate determination of major and minor elements in different types of polymetallic ores. In this study, five types of polymetallic ores including Pb-Zn, Sn, Mo, V, and Cu-Ni polymetallic ores were collected from typical metallogenic areas of China. Comparison of microwave digestion using mixed acids of hydrochloric-nitric-perchloric-hydrofluoric-sulphuric acids with digestion using nitric acid only was performed. Nine elements, Cu, Pb, Zn, Sn, W, Mo, Mn, Ti, and V were determined by the Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometry technique. Analytical results of National Standards Reference indicate that digestion with a mixture of five acids has a long digestion time and can simultaneously determine the 6 elements of Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Mn, and V. Digestion with nitric acid needs only 1 h and can determine 4 elements, Cu, Pb, Zn, and Mo. Two methods have good accuracy and precision (RSD < 5%) and low detection limits of 5.3-30 mg/kg, which are suitable for application in geological analyses. However, neither of these two methods are suitable for analyzing Sn, W, and Ti, because these elements cannot be digested completely by acids.

To examine the psychometric properties of the Multifactorial Memory Questionnaire (MMQ) in older adults with subjective memory complaints. The three MMQ subscale (Satisfaction, Ability, and Strategy) was administered twice, with a 3-month interval. The test - retest reliability was examined using intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs). The random measurement error was examined by calculating the standard error of measurement (SEM) and minimal detectable change (MDC95). The test - retest reliabilities of the three MMQ subscales were generally acceptable. The SEM of the three MMQ subscales was higher than the acceptable criterion of 10%. Despite the influence of random measurement error, the change scores of the three MMQ subscales may represent true changes if they are larger than the MDC95 of 13.2 (Satisfaction), 18.4 (Ability), and 16.9 (Strategy). The MMQ appears to be a reliable measure for use in research settings, but may not yet be suitable for clinical use. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objectives: Cognitive frailty combines physical frailty and cognitive impairment in the absence of dementia. The prompt detection of cognitive frailty and early implementation of preventive interventions may reduce the incidence of dementia. However, intervention studies of exergaming in older adults with cognitive frailty are scant. Therefore, we aim to investigate the effectiveness of exergaming on cognitive functions and loneliness among older adults with cognitive frailty. Design: Quasi‐experimental design. Methods: Participants were recruited from four community settings. The experimental group participated in two 40‐min group exergaming sessions weekly for eight weeks; the control group received usual care. The outcome measures were the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and the Chinese Version of the Loneliness Scale. Analyses of covariance were conducted to analyze whether exergaming influenced participants' cognitive functions and loneliness. In addition, the effect size of the posttest of the experimental group relative to its baseline value was calculated to determine the effectiveness of the intervention. Result: 69 older adults with cognitive frailty were included, and 35 and 34 were assigned to the experimental and control groups, respectively. The exergaming effectively improved the cognitive function of older adults with cognitive frailty. Conclusions: Exergaming interventions can effectively improve the cognitive functions of older adults with cognitive frailty but do not positively affect loneliness. We provide evidence to healthcare workers to apply exergaming interventions for older adults with cognitive frailty to improve cognitive function. The work involved to accurately determine the major and minor elements in tin ore, which contains large quantities of paragenetic and associated elements is extremely challenging. It is difficult to decomposed tin ore and the Sn, W and Mo are easily precipitated in HCl solution. A highly efficient analytic method which is capable of simultaneously determining Sn, W and Mo in tin ores by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES) is reported in this paper. The ore samples are melted with Na2O2 and acidized by mixed tartaric acid, hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide. Co is used as the internal standard element. The linear range of this present method is 0.00-40.0 mg/L, and the detection limits are 10 mg/kg for Sn, 30 mg/kg for W, 3.3 mg/kg for Mo, 12 mg/kg for Cu, 15 mg/kg for Pb and 40 mg/kg for Zn, respectively. The relative standard deviation (RSD,n=9) is less than 5.0%. All results of the National Standard Reference Materials determined by this method are consistent with the certified values. The samples can reach complete melting by using Na2O2 and the step to evaporate the HF acid to remove Si can be avoided, which results in reducing the processing time of samples. The application of mixed tartaric acid-hydrochloric acid-hydrogen peroxide system assists Sn, W and Mo to form stable complexations, which solves the problem of lower determining results due to forming precipitations of tungstenic acid, molybdic acid and stannic acid in HCl solution.

The purpose of this study was to examine the dimensionality of a moral intensity construct in four ethical accounting scenarios and how the dimensions directly affect the specific processes of moral decision making of accounting students. A survey was conducted with 233 accounting students enrolled in the school of accounting in a university of mainland China. Results indicated that the dimensions of moral intensity were significantly related to moral recognition, moral judgement and moral intention in relation to moral issues. The mediational analyses revealed that moral judgement partly mediated the relation between moral recognition and moral intention and implied that the effect of moral recognition on moral intention was significantly reduced by a combination of moral recognition and moral judgement. The chemical procedure of the HCl-HNO3-HF-HClO4 acids system on the electric heating plate is usually used to determine trace Ag in geochemical exploration samples using the Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (GFASS) method. Ir and Pt are usually used as the matrix modifiers. However, the thiourea serving as the medium probably leads to a large amount of precipitation with Cu, which interferes with the measurement results. Also, this dissolution method is time consuming during the analysis process and costly. In this paper it is reported that sample in water bath is dissolved by 50% aqua regia. The 50 g/L thiourea matrix modifier was added as the solution, avoiding the precipitation with Cu. The detection limit was 0.01 μg/g with good accuracy and precision. The qualified rates of internal and external examination were in agreement with the standard values. This new method simplifies the processing steps, saving time and cost, and is suitable for batch samples analyses. Furthermore, the dissolved solution of the samples was applied to determine As, Hg, Bi, Sb and other elements by the hydride generation method.
