22. Oxide perovskite BaSnO3: A promising high-temperature thermoelectric material for transparent conducting oxides

Abstract

The new technology of energy conversion must be developed to ensure energy sustainability. Thermoelectric (TE) materials provide an effective means to solve the energy crisis. As a potential TE candidate, the TE properties of perovskite have received extensively attention. We here investigate the TE transport properties of the transparent conducting oxide (TCO) BaSnO3 by first-principles calculations. We find that the BaSnO3 perovskite exhibits outstanding dynamic and thermal stabilities, which provide excellent electronic and thermal transport properties simultaneously. These properties contribute to the remarkable Seebeck coefficient and power factor, which gives rise to the ZT of n-0.37 and p-1.52 at 900 K. Additionally, doping and nanostructure open prospects for effectively improving the TE properties of BaSnO3. Our work provides a basis for further optimizing the TE transport properties of cubic BaSnO3 and may have worthwhile practical significance for applying cubic perovskite to the high-temperature thermoelectric field., Comment: 31 pages,6 figures,2 tables

23. Research on Prediction Model of External Corrosion Rate for Buried Pipelines Based on Response Surface Methodology

Abstract

The factors influencing the external corrosion rate of buried oil pipelines are extremely complex, and the interactions between these factors make accurate prediction of the pipeline corrosion rate challenging.Response surface methodology can analyze the interactions between various influencing factors.Therefore, this study considered four affecting factors: pH value of the soil surrounding buried oil pipelines, Clconcentration, NO3－ concentration and SO42－ concentration.Experiments were designed using response surface methodology to establish a prediction model for pipeline corrosion rates in soil environments.Regression and variance analyses were performed to evaluate the model’s effectiveness and accuracy.The established response surface methodology prediction model was compared with linear regression and PSO-BP prediction models.Results showed that the difference of lack-of-fit terms in the prediction model based on response surface methodology was not significant, and the model itself passed the significance test, demonstrating its reliability.Compared to the other two models, the response surface methodology model had the highest coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.941 8, and the smallest mean absolute error, mean relative error and root mean square error,which were 0.0205,4.53%and 0.027 7,respectively.These results verified the accuracy of the response surface methodology prediction model, showing that it could accurately assess the external corrosion rate of pipelines and provide a reliable basis for developing protection measures and maintenance plans for pipelines.

Abstract

In order to reduce the harm caused by corrosion to the normal operation of offshore oil and gas pipelines, the effects of the synergistic effect of Cl- and SO42- on the corrosion behavior of 316L stainless steel in the simulated South China Sea marine environment were investigated through the AC impedance technique and the cyclic polarization technique in electrochemical tests, and the corrosion morphology of 316L stainless steel surface was characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Results showed that when the SO42- content was constant, an increase in Cl- content could reduce the capacitive arc radius, polarization resistance Rp and pitting potential Eb. As the Cl- content increased from 0 to 50 g/L, significant corrosion was observed on the surface of 316L stainless steel. When the Cl- content was constant, an increase in SO42- content reduced the capacitive arc radius, Rp and Eb values. At the same time, the diameter of the corrosion pit on the surface of the specimen expanded, and the depth gradually deepened.

Abstract

A frame synchronization algorithm based on delay-Doppler domain was proposed for orthogonal time frequency and space (OTFS) modulation systems with a single pilot structure. The signal sparsity and the relative position change of the pilot in the delay-Doppler domain of the received OTFS signals were utilized to identify the frame synchronization location. Simulation results were presented to demonstrate that the proposed scheme outperformed the classic synchronization scheme based on the preamble, which was commonly used in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, in terms of lower synchronization failure rate under high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regions. Additionally, the proposed scheme exhibited greater performance advantages over the preamble-based scheme as the moving speed increases, making it a more suitable option for high-speed or even ultra-high-speed mobile communication scenarios.

Let $H$ be a bialgebra. Let $\sigma: H\otimes H\to A$ be a linear map, where $A$ is a left $H$-comodule coalgebra, and an algebra with a left $H$-weak action $\triangleright$. Let $\tau: H\otimes H\to B$ be a linear map, where $B$ is a right $H$-comodule coalgebra, and an algebra with a right $H$-weak action $\triangleleft$. In this paper, we improve the necessary conditions for the two-sided crossed product algebra $A\#^{\sigma} H~{^{\tau}\#} B$ and the two-sided smash coproduct coalgebra $A\times H\times B$ to form a bialgebra (called double crossed biproduct) such that the condition $b_{[1]}\triangleright a_0\otimes b_{[0]}\triangleleft a_{-1}=a\otimes b$ in Majid's double biproduct (or double-bosonization) is one of the necessary conditions.
