For endoscopists, large-scale screening of gastrointestinal (GI) diseases is arduous and time-consuming. While their workload and human factor-induced errors can be reduced by computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems, the existing ones mainly focus on a limited number of lesions or specific organs, making them unsuitable for diagnosing various GI diseases in large-scale disease screening. This paper proposes a transformer and convolutional neural network-based CAD system (called TransMSF) to assist endoscopists in diagnosing multiple GI diseases. This system constructs two feature extraction paths with different coding methods to obtain the lesions’ global and local information. In addition, downsampling is implemented in transformer to get global information of different scales, further enriching the feature representation and reducing the amount of computation and memory occupation. Moreover, a channel and spatial attention module with fewer parameters was successfully designed to pay more attention to the target and reduce the loss of important information during spatial dimension transformation. Finally, the extracted feature information is fused through the feature fusion module and then input into the linear classifier for disease diagnosis. The proposed system outperformed that of other state-of-the-art models on two datasets, reaching a 98.41% precision, a 98.15% recall, a 98.13% accuracy, and a 98.28% F1 score on the in-house GI dataset versus a 95.88% precision, a 95.88% recall, a 98.97% accuracy, and a 95.88% F1 score on the public Kvasir dataset. Moreover, TransMSF’s performance was superior to that of seasoned endoscopists. The above results prove that the proposed system is instrumental in diagnosing GI diseases in large-scale disease screening. It can also be used as a training tool for junior endoscopists to improve their professional skills by rendering helpful suggestions.

To study the residue behavior of pyraclostrobin in wax gourd, and evaluate the risk of dietary intake. Wax gourd samples were extracted with acetonitrile, purified with PSA and C18, detected by HPLC-MS/MS. In 2017, the supervised field trials of pyraclostrobin in wax gourd were carried out in Henan, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Beijing, Hunan, and Guangxi. The STMR of pyraclostrobin in wax gourd was acquired, and then the risk of dietary intake was evaluated. At the three spiked levels of 0.01, 0.1 and 1.0 mg kg-1, the average recoveries ranged from 95% to 104%, the RSDs ranged from 2.1% to 3.8%, and LOQ was 0.01 mg kg-1. The dissipation of pyraclostrobin in wax gourd in Sichuan fitted to the first order kinetics with the half-life of 4.1d. Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) is a common type among all the interstitial lung diseases, and transbronchial lung cryobiopsy is an alternative diagnostic technique for interstitial lung diseases. In this study, we describe the clinical and pathological features of fibrotic hypersensitivity pneumonitis diagnosed with transbronchial lung cryobiopsy (TBLC).A total of 46 diffused parenchyma lung disease (DPLD) patients received TBLC were included in this study. Medical records including medical history spirometry examinations, 6-min walk test (6MWT) results, high resolution computed tomographic (HRCT) scans, BAL, and histopathology were collected. Results of HRCT and histopathology were compared and classified, especially.Sixteen patients were diagnosed with fibrotic HP, the mean age of whom was 56.3 ± 12.1 years, and 62.5% of them were male. Three of the 16 patients had been misdiagnosed as tuberculosis and received antituberculosis medications, five patients had been diagnosed as unclassifiable pulmonary fibrosis, and five patients had been diagnosed as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Thirteen (81.3%) patients had a normal lymphocyte count in BAL. The pathological features of usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP) were detected in 11 (68.8%) of the cases, poor defined granulomatous was detected in nine (56.3%) of the cases, and bronchiolocentric fibrosis was detected in two (12.5%) of the 16 cases.Fibrotic hypersensitivity pneumonitis should be included in differential diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis. Pathological characteristics of fibrotic hypersensitivity pneumonitis could be demonstrated from cryobiopsy lung tissue. TBLC is recommended as an alternative diagnostic technique, which may improve the specificity of hypersensitivity pneumonia detection, and UIP is the most frequent pathological finding.

Glutathione S-transferase genes in the epsilon group were reported to function in insecticide resistance. SlGSTE12 was validated to be overexpressed in pyrethroid- and organophosphate-resistant populations of Spodoptera litura compared to a susceptible population. A functional study of heterologously expressed SlGSTE12 showed that Km and Vmax for 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (CDNB) conjugating activity were 0.70 ± 0.18 mmol L-1 and 90.6 ± 9.4 nmol mg-1 min-1, respectively. β-Cypermethrin and cyhalothrin showed much weaker inhibition of SlGSTE12 activity to CDNB conjugation than fenvalerate, chlorpyrifos, and phoxim. Ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography analysis showed that SlGSTE12 had significant metabolism activity to fenvalerate and phoxim both in vitro and in Escherichia coli, especially to chlorpyrifos, and slight metabolism activity toward cyhalothrin only in vitro. Silencing of SlGSTE12 by RNAi increased the mortality to fenvalerate, cyhalothrin, and chlorpyrifos significantly. SlGSTE12 also had a significant antioxidant ability against cumene hydroperoxide. Our study suggested that SlGSTE12 could metabolize phoxim, fenvalerate, cyhalothrin, and especially chlorpyrifos. SlGSTE12 might also participate in pyrethroid and organophosphate resistance by antioxidant activity.

We performed density functional theory calculations to investigate the electronic and magnetic properties of h-BN/MoS2 heterostructures intercalated with 3d transition-metal (TM) atoms, including V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni atoms. It was found that metal and magnetic semiconductor characteristics are induced in the h-BN/MoS2 heterostructures after intercalating TMs. In addition, the results demonstrate that h-BN sheets could promote charge transfer between the TMs and the heterogeneous structure. Specifically, the h-BN/MoS2 heterostructure transforms from an indirect semiconductor to a metal after intercalating V or Cr atoms in the interlayers. For Mn, Fe, and Co atoms, the bandgaps of the intercalated heterojunction systems become smaller when the spin polarization is 100% at the highest occupied molecular orbital level. However, the system intercalated with Ni atoms exhibits no spin polarization and non-magnetic character. Strong covalent-bonding interactions emerged between the intercalated TMs and the nearest S atom of the h-BN/MoS2 heterostructure. In addition, the magnetic moments of the TM atoms show a decreasing trend for all the interstitial intercalated heterostructures compared with their free-standing states. These results reveal that h-BN/MoS2 heterostructures with intercalated TMs are promising candidates for application in multifarious spintronic devices.

Van der Waals (vdW) heterostructure, vertically assembled by two kinds of two-dimensional layered materials with extraordinary electronic and optical properties, has emerged as an interesting candidate in the applications of electronics and optoelectronics. It is known that vacancies are crucial in determining the physical properties of materials, and always exist in the materials during the process of actual experimental preparations and can be artificially introduced. In the present work, the structures and electronic properties of a black phosphorus/molybdenum disulfide (BP/MoS2) vdW heterostructure with P atom vacancies are investigated via first principles calculations. Based on the structural symmetry, two types of heterostructures with single-atom vacancy and three types of heterostructures with diatomic vacancies are constructed. It is found that the presence of a single P atom vacancy leads to the transformation from semiconductor to metal in the BP/MoS2 heterostructure, which is mainly due to the contribution of the remaining P atomic p orbitals based on analyses of the partial density of states (PDOS). On the other hand, the heterostructures with diatomic P atom vacancies still maintain their pristine semiconductor features, along with a decrease in their bandgap value. In addition, the plane electrostatic potential indicates that the introduction of P atom vacancy defects causes a change in the electrostatic potential of the BP atomic layer, resulting in asymmetric electrostatic potential on both sides of the BP layer. Finally, it is interesting to note that the accumulation-depletion of electrons occurs around the vacancy, but also partially emerges at the MoS2 layer. Our results provide the possibility for the application of 2D-vacancy-defect heterostructure systems.

Medical thoracoscopy (MT) does not always provide a conclusive diagnosis of pleural diseases because the endoscopic appearance of pleural diseases can be misleading. Autofluorescence imaging (AFI) is an effective assistive diagnostic tool. However, its clinical application for pleural disease remains controversial.This prospective study evaluated the clinical usefulness of AFI-assisted MT for diagnosis of malignant pleural diseases.Patients with unexplained pleural effusion admitted to our clinics between December 2018 and September 2021 were enrolled. We performed white-light thoracoscopy (WLT) first, and then AFI, during MT. Images of endoscopic real-time lesions were recorded under both modes. Pleural biopsy specimens were analyzed pathologically. Between-groups differences in diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive-predictive value (PPV), and negative-predictive value (NPV) were assessed using 95% confidence intervals (CI). Receiver operating characteristic curves and decision curve analyses were employed to analyze the diagnostic efficiency of these two modes.Of 126 eligible patients, 73 cases were diagnosed with malignant pleural disease. A total of 1292 biopsy specimens from 492 pleural sites were examined for pathological changes. The diagnostic sensitivity, PPV, and NPV of AFI were 99.7%, 58.2%, and 99.2%, respectively. AFI was significantly superior to WLT, which had a sensitivity of 79.7%, PPV of 50.7%, and NPV of 62.8%. Subgroup analysis showed that the AFI type III pattern was significantly more specific for pleural malignant disease than that of WLT.AFI could further improve the diagnostic efficacy of MT by providing better visualization, convenience, and safety.

The family with sequence similarity 20-member C (Fam20C) kinase plays important roles in physiopathological process and is responsible for majority of the secreted phosphoproteome, including substrates associated with tumor cell migration. However, it remains unclear whether Fam20C plays a role in cancers. Here, we aimed to analyze the expression and prognostic value of Fam20C in pan-cancer and to gain insights into the association between Fam20C and immune infiltration.We analyzed Fam20C expression patterns and the associations between Fam20C expression levels and prognosis in pan-cancer via the ONCOMINE, TIMER (Tumor Immune Estimation Resource), PrognoScan, GEPIA (Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis), and Kaplan-Meier Plotter databases. After that, GEPIA and TIMER databases were applied to investigate the relations between Fam20C expression and immune infiltration across different cancer types, especially BLCA (bladder urothelial carcinoma), LGG (brain lower grade glioma), and STAD (stomach adenocarcinoma).Compared with adjacent normal tissues, Fam20C was widely expressed across many cancers. In general, Fam20C showed a detrimental role in pan-cancer, it was positively associated with poor survival of BLCA, LGG, and STAD patients. Specifically, based on TCGA (The Cancer Genome Atlas) database, a high expression level of Fam20C was associated with worse prognostic value in stages T2-T4 and stages N0-N2 in the cohort of STAD patients. Moreover, Fam20C expression had positive associations with immune infiltration, including CD4+ T cells, macrophages, neutrophils, and dendritic cells, and other diverse immune cells in BLCA, LGG, and STAD.Fam20C may serve as a promising prognostic biomarker in pan-cancer and has positive associations with immune infiltrates.

In this paper, we propose a smart contract based searchable symmetric encryption scheme. The existing searchable symmetric encryption protocol can resist malicious servers when using the MAC algorithm; however, it is more effective only under the assumption that the server is running. If the server receives a user’s money but does not provide a service to the user (or if the server shuts down after receiving the user’s money), the user cannot withdraw the money paid. In addition, if the server wants to reduce computing costs, bandwidth, etc., then it may reduce the number of documents to be searched or omit part of the search results. As a result, there is no guarantee that all files have been searched. We use the Merkle tree to construct search integrity verification. Implementing search integrity verification ensures that it is nearly impossible for searchers to provide integrity verification without searching all documents. Smart contracts use computing resources effectively and help us better search the blockchain. All information is recorded on the blockchain and will not be tampered with. In addition, integrity verification and smart contracts slightly reduce the efficiency but are feasible in practice. Finally, we have theoretically and experimentally verified the safety and feasibility of the proposed scheme.

We have studied the stable geometries, band structures and magnetic properties of transition-metal (V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co and Ni) atoms absorbed on MoS2/h-BN heterostructure systems by first-principles calculations. By comparing the adsorption energies, we find that the adsorbed transition metal (TM) atoms prefer to stay on the top of Mo atoms. The results of the band structure without spin–orbit coupling (SOC) interaction indicate that the Cr-absorbed systems behave in a similar manner to metals, and the Co-absorbed system exhibits a half-metallic state. We also deduce that the V-, Mn-, Fe-absorbed systems are semiconductors with 100% spin polarization at the HOMO level. The Ni-absorbed system is a nonmagnetic semiconductor. In contrast, the Co-absorbed system exhibits metallic state, and the bandgap of V-absorbed system decreases slightly according to the SOC calculations. In addition, the magnetic moments of all the six TM atoms absorbed on the MoS2/h-BN heterostructure systems decrease when compared with those of their free-standing states.

It is highly desirable to develop highly-efficient anode materials for rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which not only require large storage capacities, but also high stabilities and superior electrical conductivities. In this work, the electronic structures, stabilities, and the Li adsorption preferences of lithiated WS2 and NbSe2 monolayers as well as a lithiated WS2/NbSe2 heterostructure were systematically investigated using first principles calculations. It was found that compared with the metallic NbSe2 monolayer, the WS2/NbSe2 heterostructure appears to have a new state occupation where there was no state occupation in the sole NbSe2 monolayer. The metallic character ensures good electrical conductivity for lithium-ion batteries. Additionally, the diffusion barrier of the WS2/NbSe2 heterostructure is lower than that of WS2 and NbSe2 monolayers. A lower diffusion barrier guarantees better charge and discharge performances of the WS2/NbSe2 heterostructure as a battery electrode. Most importantly, the heterostructure was predicted to have quite a high theoretical specific capacity. Our results manifest that the WS2/NbSe2 heterostructure is a promising anode material, and provide valuable insights into the exploration of a rich variety of two dimensional heterostructure materials for next-generation flexible energy storage and conversion devices.

BACKGROUND Previously reported data has guided the treatment and prevention of blindness. This study aimed to evaluate the current prevalence and causes of visual impairment among adults who were 50 years old and older in the Binhu District of Wuxi City, China. MATERIAL AND METHODS A randomized sample of stratified clusters was used to analyze individuals from 30 basic sampling units in Wuxi Binhu District. Visual impairment was defined according to World Health Organization (WHO) standards. RESULTS A total of 6725 people who were at least 50 years old participated in this study. According to WHO standards, bilateral low vision and blindness prevalence were both higher in women than in men (low vision: 6.5% vs. 5.2%; and blindness: 1.4% vs. 0.8%; P=0.022 and P=0.039, respectively). "AIM: To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of age-related cataract (ARC), ARC surgery procedures, and postoperative vision results among adults over 50 years old in the Binhu District of Wuxi City, China. METHODS: Thirty basic sampling units were analyzed via a cluster random sampling method. Detailed medical histories were collected and eye examinations were performed. Cataract prevalence and surgical procedures were quantified. RESULTS: Among the 6150 participants, 1421 cataract cases were diagnosed and prevalence was 23.1%. The prevalence of cortical, nuclear, and posterior subcapsular cataracts increased with age (P0.05). The odds ratio of cataract patients who had or did not have cataract surgery was 3.15 (87/28) and the frequency of cataract blindness surgery was 75.7% (87/115). Poor visual outcomes was in 107 eyes (40.7%) after cataract surgery. Poor vision was mostly caused by uncorrected reflective errors (30.9%) and ocular comorbidities (41.1%). The prevalence of cataract surgery complications was 5.7% (15/263). Surgical complications and posterior capsular opacification were avoidable factors facilitating poor vision. CONCLUSION: ARC, especially in females and illiterate individuals, presents a public health problem in this district. Poor visual outcomes after cataract surgery are frequent. High-quality cataract surgeries and treatment of ocular comorbidities are vital. "

The decentralized digital currency Bitcoin is an anonymous alternative to the centralized banking system and enjoys widespread and increasing adoption. Since Bitcoin created, many other electronic currencies have been developed. We propose a protocol for an electronic currency for making anonymous payments that can be supervised by an auditor, who has sole access to the transaction history. Other electronic currencies provide only anonymity, which is convenient for making illegal transactions without regulation. For users, miners, and banks, the transactions of our electronic currency are anonymous, and only auditors can see how it is used. We make use of POW (prove-of-work) technique that allows for distributed decision-making within a network, namely the Bitcoin blockchain protocol. We combine the POW and blockchain technology of Bitcoin to give better protection against double-spending attacks.

Objective Elderly patients continue to experience low levels of mobility during and following postoperative hospitalization that lead to persistent physical decline. Therefore, here we compared chronic resistance (CR) exercise against chronic aerobic (CA) exercise in ameliorating postoperative functioning and reducing proinflammatory muscular Toll-like receptor (TLR)–associated signaling in elderly postoperative patients. Methods We conducted a prospective, randomized trial comparing the effects of 3 exercise programs (CR, CA, and CR + CA) in 66 elderly patients recovering from recent hip, femur, or pelvic fracture repair surgery. The primary outcomes were changes in anatomic/physical performance parameters (ie, maximal oxygen intake, endurance, quadriceps cross-sectional area, and maximum knee-extensor force). The secondary outcomes were changes in TLR/nuclear factor kappa beta signaling pathway marker expression. Results Three of the 4 anatomic/physical performance parameters significantly improved for the CR and CR + CA cohorts. Muscular expression of myeloid differentiation primary response gene 88, transforming growth factor beta-activated kinase 1 (TLR signaling pathway markers), p50, p65, tumor necrosis factor α, and interleukin 6 (nuclear factor kappa beta signaling pathway markers) all showed significant reductions after CR and CR + CA. Serum expression of 2 key TLR4 ligands, heat shock protein 70 and serum amyloid A, also showed significant reductions after CR and CR + CA. Conclusions Three months of CR or CR + CA improves maximal oxygen consumption, quadriceps cross-sectional area, and maximum knee-extensor force while lowering muscular proinflammatory signaling markers in elderly adults with postoperative deconditioning.

Typical aeolian landforms have developed in China’s Yarlung Zangbo River valley, which is on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau. Fully understanding the grain size characteristics of these dunefields is the first step to reveal the region’s aeolian dynamics. We selected three distinctive dunefields for grain size analysis: the Maquan, Shannan, and Mainling valley dunefields. At the scale of individual dunes, we found a trend for sands on the dune surface, with the sediments gradually becoming finer towards the crest, gradually becoming coarser, or exhibiting an asymmetric M-shaped distribution. In Maquan valley, these patterns resulted from interactions between the local airflow and local sands with a diameter of 2.0–2.5 Φ (177–250 μm). The asymmetric M-shaped distribution in the Shannan valley was mainly controlled by the positions on a dune and valley winds. The slightly coarser crests in Mainling valley were controlled by sands that are easily entrained by the wind (2.00–3.00 Φ or 125–250 μm) and that undergo saltation. At a dunefield scale, strong winds that entrained medium sands cause these sands to accumulate downwind in Maquan valley. Multi-directional winds combined with a limited sand supply (1.74–2.30 Φ or 203–299 μm) favored a stable aeolian environment in Shannan valley. The saltating sands produced by these winds build dunes under a constantly erosive wind regime in Mainling valley. Wind transported interdune sediments is an important local source for building dunes. The gradual variation of grain sizes moving downstream and the distinct evolution history of dunefield in Maquan valley as compared to Shannan and Mainling valleys may suggest the existence of a spatial connection among dune sands along the main stream of the Yarlung Zangbo River.

Five compounds (syringic acid, tricin, acacetin, syringoside, and diosmetin) were isolated from the aerial parts of wild oats (Avena fatua L.) using chromatography columns of silica gel and Sephadex LH-20. Their chemical structures were identified by means of electrospray ionization and high-resolution mass spectrometry as well as (1)H and (13)C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic analyses. Bioassays showed that the five compounds had significant allelopathic effects on the germination and seedling growth of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The five compounds inhibited fresh wheat as well as the shoot and root growth of wheat by approximately 50% at a concentration of 100 mg/kg, except for tricin and syringoside for shoot growth. The results of activity testing indicated that the aerial parts of wild oats had strong allelopathic potential and could cause different degrees of influence on surrounding plants. Moreover, these compounds could be key allelochemicals in wild-oat-infested wheat fields and interfere with wheat growth via allelopathy.

A new method for simultaneous determination of phoxim, chlorpyrifos, and pyridaben residues in edible mushrooms and the substrate at trace levels was developed using QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, efficient, rugged, and safe) analytical procedure and ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS). The target compounds were determinated using UHPLC-MS/MS with an electrospray ionization source in positive mode (ESI+). The limit of detection (LOD) for the three compounds ranged from 1 to 10 μg kg−1, and the limit of quantification (LOQ) was 10 μg kg−1. Quantification was performed by calibration curves of standards from 0.01 to 1.0 mg kg−1 with correlation coefficients >0.994. Recovery studies were performed at three spiked levels of 0.01, 0.05, and 0.25 mg kg−1 in blank mushrooms and the substrate, and the overall average recoveries ranged from 75.5 to 98.4 %. The data demonstrated the good repeatability of the method with relative standard deviations (RSDs) lower than 11.4 % for all analytes. The results showed that the method is efficient and reliable for the simultaneous determination of phoxim, chlorpyrifos, and pyridaben residues in mushrooms and substrate.

The analytical technique for the determination of azoxystrobin in tomato and soil was obtained by gas chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/ MS), and its dissipation fate was also investigated under field conditions. Azoxystrobin residues in tomato and soil were extracted with ethylacetate+cyclohexane extraction and followed by the dispersive-SPE purification. The average recoveries in tomatoes and soils at different spiked concentrations (0.1, 0.5 and 1.0 mg/kg) ranged from 86.16% to 105.47% with RSDs from 6.8% to 12.3%. The LOD ranged from 0.003 μg/kg to 0.004 μg/kg, and LOQ ranged from 0.009 μg/kg to 0.012 μg/kg. This developed methodology was also used to investigate the residues and dissipation of azoxystrobin in tomatoes and soil under the field conditions. The initial azoxystrobin concentrations in tomato fruits in Henan province and in Zhejiang province were 0.494 mg/kg and 0.638 mg/kg with half-lives of 9.9 days and 11.5 days, respectively. Concentrations were reduced by more than 50% at 10 days after application for both sample sets. Initial azoxystrobin concentrations in soil were 1.747 mg/kg and 1.845 mg/kg in Henan province and in Zhejiang province with half-lives of 8.6 days and 7.7 days, respectively.

We also deduce that the V-, Mn-, Fe-absorbed systems are semiconductors with 100% spin polarization at the HOMO level. The Ni-absorbed system is a nonmagnetic semiconductor. In contrast, the Co-absorbed system exhibits metallic state, and the bandgap of V-absorbed system decreases slightly according to the SOC calculations. In addition, the magnetic moments of all the six TM atoms absorbed on the MoS2/h-BN heterostructure systems decrease when compared with those of their free-standing states.

This paper uses the real evaluation sample and uses the data mining association rule algorithm to comprehensively analyze the massive data of the evaluation data and the basic information of the teacher. The purpose is to obtain the association rules between the teacher’s comprehensive information and its evaluation results. Using the evaluation data to explore its core issues. In this paper, the Eclat algorithm of association rules improves the problem of insufficient memory and occupying a large amount of time when searching for frequent itemsets in the data. The breadth-first algorithm is added to save operation time and improve the efficiency of the algorithm. The effectiveness of the improved algorithm is verified by comparative experiments and applied to the evaluation system so as to provide suggestions for the professional development of teachers from an objective perspective, and to build a harmonious, "people-oriented" evaluation system for students.

ZnO/GaN heterojunction light-emitting diode was grown using zinc acetate as precursors on p-GaN substrate by one-step aqueous method in this paper. Structural and optical properties of heterostructure were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and photoluminescence (PL). It has been found that ZnO film was formed by using zinc acetate as precursors with one-step aqueous method. Meanwhile, the device based on ZnO/GaN heterostructure displayed diode-like current-voltage (I-V) characteristics. Electroluminescence (EL) characterization results showed an intense broadband emission in the yellow-green spectral region under the forward bias. It indicated that EL emission of ZnO/GaN heterostructure was originated from impurity-involved emission.

Technological innovation is the inevitable choice for transforming models of economic growth and optimizing the economic structure; additionally, the promotion of NGEs’ capacity for technological innovation is a measure of China’s ability to meet the demands of economic development in the new period. The 11th Five-Year Plan of China for National Economic and Social Development proposed to “accelerate the establishment of a technological innovation system based around the centrality of enterprises, with the market as the orientation, and the integration of production, education, and research, and formulate a basic institutional framework of independent innovation.” The Decision on the Implementation of Science and Technology Development Plan and Enhancement of Independent Innovation Capabilities released by the State Council clearly states its intention to “practically make enterprises the principal part of research, development, and investment, the subject of technological innovation, and the main implementer of innovation,” and “to value and fully utilize the role of technological NGEs as the driving forces behind independent innovation and the development of high-tech industries, to create a fair competitive environment, and encourage NGEs to grow both larger and stronger and to participate in international competition.” During the 12th Five Year Plan, the Chinese Government will give full support to the cultivation of the independent innovation capacities of the country’s enterprises, and China’s NGEs are likely to welcome the golden opportunity for technological innovation. During this period, in the face of fierce competition with SOEs and FFEs, only by relying on efficient technological innovation can China’s NGEs gain competitive advantages in the future.

Aiming at the defect that the fast peak search clustering does not adapt to high-dimensional data sets, a T-DPC optimization algorithm is proposed. The algorithm is based on the t-SNE dimensionality reduction method, and also optimizes the calculation method of Gaussian kernel function, using a uniform metric when solving the density. Finally, the T-DPC algorithm and the DPC algorithm are compared in the artificial data set and the UCI standard data set, respectively, The experimental results show that the T-DPC algorithm not only adapts to the high dimensional dataset, but also improves the efficiency of the DPC algorithm.

We studied the structures and electronic properties of Janus transition-metal dichalcogenide monolayers MXY (M = Mo, W; X ≠ Y = S, Se, Te) by first-principles calculations. The results of the electronic band structures and the density of states reveal that all of the MXY monolayers show semiconducting characteristics. Particular attention has been focused on the bandgap engineering by applying in-plane biaxial compressive and tensile strain. It is observed that the bandgap values of the MXY monolayers decrease with the increase of strain degree under the tension and compression biaxial strain, and a semiconductor-to-metal transition can be undergone at a critical value of strain. The possibility of the tunable energy gap over a wide range makes MXY monolayers potential candidates for nanoelectronics and optoelectronics.

A simple, quick and reliable analytical method for the confirmation and quantification of propisochlor was developed. The propisochlor was extracted from water, soil and rice (stalks, rice and hull) matrices using acetonitrile, and cleaned up with primary secondary amine and determined by UPLC-MS/MS. The LODs of propisochlor ranged from 0.03 to 0.12 , while the LOQs ranged from 0.1 to 0.4 in different matrixes. The mean recoveries of propisochlor at three levels (0.005, 0.01 and 0.05 mg/kg) were in the range of 73.7-94.9% with intra-day relative standard deviations (RSD) of 1.1-13.9% and inter-day of 3.3-12.7%. This method is suitable for routine analysis of propisochlor under field conditions. The half-lives of propisochlor in rice stalks, water and soil were 1.7, 1.5 and 2.3 days in Hunan, 5.7, 1.0 and 1.9 days in Anhui and 4.8, 1.0 and 3.1 days in Guangxi.

The analytical method for the residue analysis of a sulfonylurea herbicide, rimsulfuron, and its dissipation in soil and potato plants under field conditions were studied. Rimsulfuron residues were determined by Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe (QuEChERS) method and ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). Mean recoveries ranged from 74.6 % to 106.2 % with relative standard deviations (RSDs) of 2.0 %-13.8 % at three different spiking levels for each different matrix. The limits of detection (LOD) of rimsulfuron were ranged from 0.3 to 1.4 μg/kg, while the limits of quantification (LOQ) ranged from 0.9 to 4.3 μg/kg in different matrixes. The dissipation dynamics of rimsulfuron in the field trials in Shandong and Zhejiang Province were investigated. The half-lives in potato seedlings were 4.1 days in Shandong and 4.3 days in Zhejiang, both with a dissipation rate of 90 % about 7 days after application. The half-lives in soil were 6.0 days in Shandong and 6.6 days in Zhejiang, and with a dissipation rate of 90 % over 28 days. The terminal residues in potato and soil were not detectable. The fact that all the terminal residues were below the maximum residue level (0.1 mg/kg) set by Japan and 0.05 mg/kg set by EU. Hence it was safe for the use of this pesticide and the results also could give a reference for maximum residue limits setting of rimsulfuron in potato in China.

Persistent use of the diphenyl ether herbicides oxyfluorfen may seriously increase the health risks and ecological safety problems. A newly bacterium R-21 isolated from active soil was able to degrade and utilize oxyfluorfen as the sole carbon source. R-21 was identified as Chryseobacterium aquifrigidense by morphology, physiobiochemical characteristics, and genetic analysis. Under the optimum cultural conditions (pH 6.9, temperature 33.4 °C, and inoculum size 0.2 g L(-1)), R-21 could degrade 92.1 % of oxyfluorfen at 50 mg L(-1) within 5 days. During oxyfluorfen degradation, six metabolites were detected and identified by atmospheric pressure gas chromatography coupled to quadrupole-time of flight mass spectrometry and ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled to quadrupole-time of flight mass spectrometry, and a plausible degradation pathway was deduced. Strain R-21 is a promising potential in bioremediation of oxyfluorfen-contaminated environments.

The present study attempts to investigate a rapid, effective and sensitive analytical method to determine a new fungicide penflufen and its metabolite residues in potato, cowpea, corn, wheat and rice using ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS). The compounds were extracted using acetonitrile and cleaned up by primary secondary amine (PSA) and octadecylsilane (C18). Both compounds were determined in less than 5.0min using an electrospray ionization source in positive mode (ESI+). The calculated limits of detection and quantification were below 0.018μgkg(-1) and 0.060μgkg(-1) in different matrices. The method revealed excellent linearity (R(2)>0.9957) for both compounds. The recoveries ranged from 76.1 to 101.0% for both compounds with RSD values lower than 9.8% in all matrices. The results demonstrated that the method is reliable and effective enough for the routine detecting penflufen and its metabolite residues in vegetables and cereals.

This paper proposes the new hypothesis that the loss of innovative efficiency is greater than the loss of productive efficiency in Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs). SOE reform in China has been able to achieve substantial improvements in SOE productive efficiency by using supervision and incentive mechanisms to establish adequate symmetry between residual rights of control and residual claims. However, these two dimensions of ownership rights – control rights and claim rights – remain relatively asymmetric in the realm of innovative efficiency; thus, SOE innovative efficiency remains impaired. This is because SOE managers have weak claims over the rents they create through innovation, due to the characteristics of risk, unpredictability and long durations of innovation projects. This paper confirms the theoretical hypothesis by conducting an empirical analysis of ownership-industry-year data for an important reform period in China.

In this study, a sensitive and effective analytical method for the extraction and detection of three herbicide residues (florasulam, fluroxypyr, and halauxifen-methyl) in wheat and soil was developed. Samples were extracted with acetonitrile/water followed by salting out, dispersive solid-phase extraction cleanup, and detection using ultra high performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry. The target analytes were detected within a 5 min runtime using an ultra high performance liquid chromatography high-strength silica trifunctional column connected to an electrospray ionization source in positive mode. The method was validated in five replicates at three fortification concentrations in each matrix. Adequate pesticide quantification and identity confirmation were attained, even at the lowest concentration levels. The method showed very good accuracy and precision. Good recoveries were observed for the three herbicides and mostly ranged between 75.8 and 114.6%, with intraday relative standard deviations
