Amphipods are extremely diverse malacostracan crustaceans that have conquered many environments from oceanic abysses to the terrestrial realm. Despite their impressive modern diversity and abundance, they are particularly rare in the fossil record. Herein, we describe the exceptionally preserved Gammaroidorum yooling sp. nov. from the Late Neogene of Xiaobai Formation near Pandao village, Shanxi, China. Due to the limitation of the preservation, namely the non-preservation of setae, we could not establish a precise generic assignment, so used the collective group Gammaroidorum Jarzembowski, Chény, Fang & Wang, 2020. Although there are still doubts on the precise placement of this new species within amphipods, these fossils are important since they represent the first known fossil occurrence of an amphipod in China. Besides, these fossils have an unusual preservation, being almost transparent in most cases, and being most easily seen by reflecting light on the fossil.

Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC) is a key enzyme in photosynthesis of C4 plants and plays an important role in a variety of metabolic and stress pathways. In this study, we identified six candidate PEPC genes from foxtail millet genome via sequence alignment. The characteristic parameters of all SiPEPC protein were very similar and the sequences were very conservative. All SiPEPC genes contained the PEPcase motif, which is the characteristic domain of PEPC gene. SiPEPCs were localized in cytoplasm, nucleus and mitochondrion. Promoter analysis identified a variety of light, hormonal, stress, and other growth-related cis-elements in the promoter sequences of SiPEPC members. The qRT-PCR expression profiles showed that the five SiPEPC genes ( SiPEPC1 , SiPEPC2 , SiPEPC3 , SiPEPC5 , SiPEPC6 ) were induced by ABA, PEG, high salt and low temperature at seedling stage, indicating that five SiPEPC genes ate involved in abiotic signaling pathway at the seedling stage. The expression of five SiPEPC genes increased with the growth of foxtail millet under normal growth conditions, and increased significantly under drought stress at different growth stages, indicating that five SiPEPCs are involved in drought stress response at jointing, heading and filling stages. The weak light at jointing stage could induce the expression of five SiPEPC genes, while the expression level decreased sharply under moderate light intensity at jointing stage, moderate and weak light intensity at heading and filling stages, showing that light intensity seriously affects the expression of SiPEPC genes.

In this paper, we present a stable single-photon detection method based on Si-avalanche photodiode (Si-APD) operating in Geiger mode with a large temperature variation range. By accurate temperature sensing and direct current (DC) bias voltage compensation, the single-photon detector can work stably in Geiger mode from −40 °C to 35 °C with an almost constant avalanche gain. It provides a solution for single-photon detection at outdoor operation in all-weather conditions.

According to the decision attributes of green manufacturing and requirements of remanufacturing, an evaluation index system of waste product recycling ability was established, the weight of every level index was determined by using analytic hierarchy process, according to the fuzziness and uncertainty of evaluation index, the recycling ability was evaluated by applying the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and an example was given. The result shows that the method is simple, accurate and has a good application.

the manual assembly line used for assembling a certain type of lighting panel was introduced. The manual assembly works were analyzed. The assembly workbench surface illumination of the assembly line was tested. According to the light source is linear form, the assembly workbench surface was divided into some rectangles firstly. The intensity of illumination of these rectangles centers were tested by the illuminance meter. The average illuminance was also calculated out. According to these values, the illuminance curves were draw, which were approximately parallel lines. Further, the time values of the workers complete the same assembly work in different illumination were measured. The analysis reveals that the high illumination or the low level of illumination will affect the work efficiency. The reasonable illumination interval values were found. The testing and analysis provide scientific basis for the adjustment of the workbench illuminance and the improvement of working environment lighting.

According to the characteristics of many varieties small batch production, the assembly workers with operating accurate, coordination and strong learning ability are needed in a manual assembly line. Some scientific operating skills test is used to evaluate staff in recruitment, working hours formulate and performance evaluation. The origins and definition of learning curve were introduced. The characteristics of operation skills were analyzed. The mirror painting instrument was used to test the learning ability of workers for new operation skills. Workers were asked to face the graphics within the mirror, and to depict the graphics using the testing pen. The mistake number and the operation time were recorded. Learning curves were drawn out. Everyone worker movement skills forming process was analyzed on the basis of the above data. The test process and analyze conclusion provide the scientific basis and the decision support for the enterprises.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the world. Schizandrin B (Sch B) is one of the main dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans present in the fruit of Schisandra chinensis (Schisandraceae). Sch B has multiple functions against cancer. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of Sch B on the proliferation, cell cycling, apoptosis and invasion of lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells by MTT, flow cytometry, wound healing and transwell invasion assays. Treatment with Sch B inhibited the proliferation of A549 cells in a dose-dependent manner. Sch B induced cell cycle arrest at G0/G1 phase by down-regulating the expression of cyclin D1, cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK)4, and CDK6, but up-regulating p53 and p21 expression in A549 cells. Furthermore, Sch B triggered A549 cell apoptosis by increasing Bax, cleaved caspase-3, 9, Cyto C, but decreasing Bcl-2 and PCNA expression. In addition, Sch B inhibited the invasion and migration of A549 cells by down-regulating the expressions of HIF-1, VEGF, MMP-9 and MMP-2. Therefore, Sch B has potent anti-tumor activity and may be a promising traditional Chinese medicine for human lung carcinoma.
