In todays age of technology social media platforms, like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Face- book play a role in how content is shared and how people engage online. It’s important to grasp these dynamics to improve interaction strategies and enhance user experiences. This arti-cle introduces the User Follower Viewer (UFV) model, a framework that blends principles from epidemiology and social sciences to study content dissemination and user behavior on media. The UFV model divides participants into Users (U) Followers (F) and Viewers (V) examining shifts among these groups influenced by factors such as content quality, peer impact and market-ing tactics. This approach offers insights into converting viewers into followers and keeping them engaged which’s crucial for platform managers and digital marketers looking to forecast trends increase engagement levels and customize content strategies. Through simulations and stability assessments this research not demonstrates the usage of the model but also enhances our compre-hension of digital interactions by proposing innovative methods to foster meaningful engagement, on social media platforms.

Introduction Pancreatic carcinoma (PC) is a highly malignant and lethal tumor characterized by a dismal prognosis which raised the need to identify other prognostic factors for better patient risk stratification. This study investigated the prognostic significance of tumor budding (TB) in pancreatic carcinoma using artificial intelligence. Methods In this retrospective multicenter study, we collected all cases of PC diagnosed (2008-2022). TB was assed using 2methods: manuel on hematoxylin-eosin (HE) slides and semi-automated using QUPATH software. The selected slide for each case was digitalized using NIS software version 4.00 connected to the microscope NIKON (Eclipse Ni-U). The pathological images were then incorporated into QUPATH. The budds were counted using cell count functionality based on the nucleus size and pixel variability, and TB scores were categorized as BUDD1(0-4), BUDD2(5-9) and BUDD3(≥10). We analyzed the association between the TB score and prognostic clinicopathological factors and overall survival. Results 25patients were included (mean age:62.3years;male-to-female ratio:2.57). TB was found in 100%of cases and a high TB score (BUDD2-3) was observed in 56%of cases (using QUPATH versus 48% using HE slides); statistical analysis showed no significant difference between the two methods(p=0.589). A high TB score was associated with older age(>72 years), ductal histological subtype and advanced stage (pT>2).53.8% of patients with lymph node metastasis or advanced stage had high TB score. Multivariate analysis revealed that TB score was strongly and independently associated with overall survival (OS), with a hazard ratio of 2.35. Conclusion TB is an additional prognostic factor in PC, and using artificial intelligence via QUPATH software offers a promising and accessible tool for pathologists to evaluate TB and to improve risk stratification in patients with PC.

Herein, the response surface methodology (RSM) has been used to study simultaneously the effects of carbonization temperature, residence time and moisture content on the activated hydrochar preparation-based vegetable-tanned leather shavings (VTS) using hydrothermal carbonization method (HTC). Owing to the desirability chosen, three responses were analysed, namely: the hydrochar yield, iodine and methylene blue numbers. The analysis of experimental results revealed that the hydrochar yield was decreased with increase in carbonization temperature which led to micropores formation inside the hydrochar network. The optimal preparation conditions retained were: 83.10%, 390.44 mg g−1 and 259.63 mg g−1 for the hydrochar yield, iodine and methylene blue number respectively. The hydrochar micrograph showed the presence of external pores, whereas the FTIR analysis recorded the presence of acidic functional groups found on hydrochar surface. The findings revealed that the VTS is a good precursor for the hydrochar preparation useful in the removal of organic and inorganic pollutants in aqueous media.

The post traumatic stress score disorder: PCL-5 was calculated on day 30 and day 90. The evolution of the patients health state (Recovery or deterioration) was marked. All data were analyzed by SPSS. Results we included during the study period 200 patients complying with the inclusion criteria. Post traumatic stress was diagnosed in 146 patients (73% of patients). Post-traumatic stress was diagnosed in rather elderly patients; the average age was 51.8 years with a female predominance (57.5%). 63.6% of patients with PTSD had a cough; 35.7% had dyspnea; 49.7% were febrile, 43.9% had arthromyalgia, 15% had anosmia.The disappearance of the signs was after 8.3 days on average, it lasted longer (14.6 days) in the patient who developed PTSD.In this series, 47.3% of patients diagnosed with PTS infected their relatives Conclusions This study contributes to a better understanding of the factors that determine the impact of traumatic events such as a pandemic on people’s mental health.Post traumatic stress disorder is so common among COVID 19 patients and it has a huge influence on the evolution of their health state . In fact,in such particular circumstances, so many people experience stress, anxiety and depression.Objective Objectives The goal of our study is to emphasize theanxiety among patients who were tested positive with COVID 19 , using the HAD scale. Methods It is a retrospective study single-centerstudyPatients are collected from a database of the Sahloul emergency COVID unit. We include patients whose age is greater than or equal to 18 years old who has been infected with SARS-COV-2 according to the results of the PCR test. All patients lost to follow-up, refusing to participate in this study, having a psychiatric illness or having taken a psychotropic medication before randomization or non-cooperating (unable to respond to the evaluation test) were excluded. At 30 days follow up, anxiety was evaluated by HAD scale. Results 200 patients were included in this study.In our study, 98 patients had symptoms of anxiety (49%) after one month of their consultation in the emergency room; i.e. 39% have a doubtful symptomatology of anxiety and 10% have a certain symptomatology. Half (51%) of the patients had no signs of anxiety depression. The average age of the patients in whom the presence of definite anxiety symptoms was noted was 56.2 years; 63.7% of these patients were female. No difference was noted in relation to the pathological history. Introduction The current SARS cov 2 virus disease pandemic presents a threatening physical danger as well as its impact on mental health. It seems important to screen any patient who has experienced covid 19 for its psychological impact. Objectives Therefore the aim of our study was to highlight the impact of COVID-19 infection on mental health by screening them for depression Methods This is a cross-sectional, single-center study, conducted at the Sahloul Emergency Department, over a period of 5 months (January to May 2021). Patients are collected from a database of ouremergencydepartment COVID-19 unit.We included patients whose age is greater than or equal to 18 years old; who has been infected with SARS-COV-2 according to the results of the PCR test. All patients lost to follow-up, refusing to participate in this study, having a psychiatric illness or having taken a psychotropic medication before randomization or non-cooperating (unable to respond to the evaluation test) were excluded.A telephone follow-up was done after 30 days from admission to calculate the HAMILTON score after a positif HAD D scale. Results 200 patients were included. For the 20 patients (10%) with depressive symptomatology (doubtful and certain) according to the HAD D scale, their responses to the Hamilton scale were analysed in order to determine the severity of the depressive symptomatology. Note that 30% of patients had mild to moderate signs of depression and 70% had severe depression.The majority of patients in whom the presence of depressive symptoms was noted had an average age of 40 years; those who presented with severe depression had an average age of 51.3 years with a female majority of 72%. No difference was noted in relation to pathological history, half had been hospitalized for treatment of COVID-19(57%). Patients with severe depression symptom resolution lasted an average of 14 days. Introduction Prevention of Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a major public health interestand one of the concerns of any emergency physician. Objectives The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a herbal supplement in preventing the occurrence of PTSD in high-risk patients. Methods : It is a randomized, double-blind, prospective, interventional study including patients exposed to a traumatic event meeting DSM-V Criterion A and having a Peri-traumatic Distress Inventory score and/or Peri-traumatic Dissociative Experience Questionnaire (PDEQ) and/or immediate stress score (L.Crocq score) higher than the thresholds between day 1 and day 3. A total of two hundred patients were included and they were randomly assigned into two groups: Aleozen group and placebo group. Patients included in the aleozen group received Aleozen® for 10 days while patients in the placebo group received a Placebo. A CAPS-5 assessment was performed for all patients at different moments. The main objective was to assess the efficacy of Aleozen® after day 90 of exposure to traumatic events according to PTSD. The secondary objectives were to evaluate the safety of Aleozen® at 10 and 30 days after its administration and to assess PTSD in the involved population after one year. Results No statistical differences were noted between the two groups in terms of baseline characteristics, including age, sex, and ISS score. After day 90 of follow-up, and according to the CAPS-5 scale, 85 patients (42.5%) had PTSD. The balance between pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokine expression is essential for an efficient immune response and for the regulation of cancer development and progression. This study analyzed the expression and genetic variation in IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-10 genes and the possible associations with colorectal cancer (CRC) and colorectal liver metastases (CRLM). We examined IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-10 mRNA expression and three gene variants: IL-1β (rs1143627), IL-10 (rs1800872) and IL-6 (rs1800795), in 198 CRC, 65 CRLM patients and 230 controls. Carriers of the C/T genotype of IL-1β (rs1143627) have an increased risk of developing CRC and CRLM. T/T genotype carriers have a higher risk of CRLM incidence. For IL-10 (rs1800872), patients harboring the C/A genotype have a lower risk of CRC and CRLM occurrence. For IL-6 (rs1800795), the C/C genotype heightens the risk of CRLM development. Overall survival analysis showed that carriers of the C/T genotype of IL-1β (rs1143627) have a worse overall survival in CRC patients. It can be concluded that interleukin genetic variants can be used as biomarkers to detect and predict clinical outcomes and prognostic factors for CRC and CRLM.

The dataset presented in this paper deals with real-time measurements carried out during the welding of 78 spot welds including heathy and defective states. These measurements are composed of acoustic emission signals and welding parameters. Acoustic emission signals were captured by three different piezoelectric sensors, which are connected to a Vallen AMSY5 system through preamplifiers. Welding parameters where digitized using the M-SCOPE software. Both measurements can be used for the establishment of an automatic criterion able to detect defective spot welds in Refill Friction Stir Spot Welding.

Ultrasonic guided waves (UGW) technique is widely used for nondestructive testing (NDT) of pipelines. In structural health monitoring (SHM), this technique can used to continuously assess the health of these kind of structures. However, environmental conditions can affect UGW propagation and result in false indication of defects. This article describes and provides a database of UGW signals that were acquired at different temperatures during a long period of time. This database could be used to test the efficiency of temperature compensation methods. Besides, a corrosion like defect was created at the end of the monitoring period. Therefore, damage detection methods in SHM could be tested as well.

Paint, tannery and textile manufacturing wastewaters contain highly toxic and organic biorefractory compounds and have adverse effects on human health. These effluents require efficient and environment friendly solutions before being discharged. Jar-test experiments are conducted in order to assess the efficiency of a tannin-based polymer (TBP) on the treatment of these industrial wastewaters. The results indicate that TBP is more effective than classical coagulant iron chloride. Coagulation flocculation involving TBP does not require any coagulation pH adjustment, reduces more than 96% of colour and achieves 60, 65 and 87% of COD removal from textile, tannery and paint wastewater respectively. Compared to iron chloride, TBP produces the least amount of sludge for a given amount of COD and colour removed. It produces 28 to 60 % less volume of sludge than FeCl3, and generates a good settling sludge with lower values of SVI (31- 80 ml g−1). Furthermore, TBP allows 4 to 6.5% of water recovery more than FeCl3. Utilisation of such polymer represents an important progress in sustainable environmental technology as it is a renewable resource and allows a lower pollution load, a good settling sludge and an adequate water recovery.

Point mutations are common in the human DNA genome and are closely related to higher susceptibility to cancer diseases. Therefore, suitable methods for their sensing are of general interest. In this work, we report on a magnetic electrochemical bioassay using DNA probes tethered to streptavidin magnetic beads (strep-MBs) to detect T > G single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) within the inteleukin-6 (IL6) gene in human genomic DNA. In the presence of the target DNA fragment and tetramethylbenzidine (TMB), the electrochemical signal related to the oxidation of TMB is observed, which is much higher than the one obtained in the absence of the target. The key parameters affecting the analytical signal, such as the concentration of the biotinylated probe, its incubation time with strep-MBs, DNA hybridization time, and TMB loading, were optimized using the electrochemical signal intensity and signal-to-blank (S/B) ratio as selection criteria. Using spiked buffer solutions, the bioassay can detect the mutated allele in a wide range of concentrations (over six decades) with a low detection limit (7.3 fM). Furthermore, the bioassay displays a high specificity with high concentrations of the major allele (one mismatched), and two mismatched and non–complementary DNA. More importantly, the bioassay can detect the variation in scarcely diluted human DNA, collected from 23 donors, and can reliably distinguish between heterozygous (TG genotype) and homozygous (GG genotype) in respect to the control subjects (TT genotype), where the differences are statistically highly significant (p-value < 0.001). Thus, the bioassay is useful for cohort studies targeting one or more mutations in human DNA.
