Electrocatalysis is an environmentally friendly synthesis method that overcomes thermodynamic limitations and enables some reactions usually requiring high temperature and high pressure to be realized under ambient conditions. The one-step electrochemical synthesis of ammonia and acetone under ambient conditions was realized using an Fe-modified graphite rod or an Fe-modified stainless steel mesh as the working electrode, nano-Fe as the catalyst, N2 and isopropanol as the raw materials, and an ionic liquid (a trihexyl tetradecyl phosphine hexafluorophosphate; [P6,6,6,14][F6P]) as the electrolyte. The NH3 yield, faradaic efficiency, and acetone yield were 103.6 mg m−2 h−1, 20%, and 1060.4 mg m−2 h−1, respectively, for the Fe-modified graphite rod and 56.0 mg m−2 h−1, 60%, and 573.2 mg m−2 h−1, respectively, for the Fe-modified stainless steel mesh. This is a “green” and clean synthesis of ammonia that provides a new method to synthesize economic products from inexpensive nitrogen.

We developed an in vitro recombinant yeast assay to investigate whether five representative xenobiotic ligands including 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD), β-naphthoflavone (BNF), benzo[a]pyrene (B[a]P), chrysene (CHR) and phenanthrene (PHE) can bind with the AhR of the scallop Chlamys farreri (CfAhR). The plasmid pGBKT7-CfAhR and pGADT7-XRE were transformed to yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae,Y187) to construct the recombinant yeast Y187CfAhR/XRE, and the report gene product β-galactosidase activity was measured after Y187CfAhR/XRE was induced by TCDD, BNF, B[a]P, CHR and PHE with a series of concentrations. Results not only demonstrated that the β-galactosidase could be detected in Y187CfAhR/XRE without any treatment, but also reflected that CfAhR can interact with the XRE sequence. β-galactosidase activities were significantly induced in 1–100 nM TCDD groups, indicating that TCDD can bind with CfAhR. This provides evidence for the binding capacity of TCDD and invertebrate AhR, while no evidence was found to prove that other four compounds could bind with CfAhR in our experiments.

Objective: To illustrate the effect of geniposide (GP) and panax notoginseng saponins (PNS) on estrogen receptors (ER) including ERα and ERβ within the cytoplasm and nucleus of SH-SY5Y cells. Methods: Immunofluorescence was used to observe the distribution of ERα and ERβ in cytoplasm and nucleus, but Western blot was only for ERβ detection. q-PCR was applied to detect NR3C1, S100A6 and LGALS1downstream mRNA gene expression levels of ER. Results: Through analyzing fluorescence intensity under the administration of GP and PNS in SH-SY5Y cells, we found that the distribution of ERα has not been affected. The growing update of computer and global technology provides the raw energy for college English teaching to start a revolution and development. How to deal with the teaching methods by using computer network to build a pluralistic system of interactive teaching for college English curriculum is a serious problem. This paper combines the characteristics of college English teaching, exploring the teaching ways of teaching mode and multi-interaction network of college English. Besides, it also reviews the evidence which is based on independent learning theory and several learning models, analyses the relationship between the advantages of computer network teaching and learning ability of students and enhances the benefits between teaching in practice and computer networks teaching. According to the research and survey of the College English Teaching Model of a University, it validated the role in promoting new teaching model to improve students’ self-learning ability.

Objective To explore the radiological characteristics of the upper respiratory tract and their correlations with obstructive sleep apnoea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) in patients with acromegaly. Methods Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were performed in untreated patients with acromegaly placed in straight (SHP) and extended head positions (EHP). Overnight polysomnography was performed to evaluate OSAHS, and the apnoea/hypopnea index (AHI) was measured. Results According to the CT findings, a thicker soft palate (1.24 ± 0.22 vs. 1.03 ± 0.22 cm, p = 0.024), larger soft palate cross-sectional area (5.15 ± 1.21 vs. 4.06 ± 1.09 cm2, p = 0.027), and thicker lateral pharyngeal wall (1.01 ± 0.25 vs. 0.79 ± 0.14 cm, p = 0.015) were observed in patients with acromegaly who presented with OSAHS compared with patients without OSAHS. Additionally, the maximal transverse diameter (1.87 ± 0.40 vs. 2.31 ± 0.44 cm, p = 0.015) and cross-sectional area (1.98 ± 0.46 vs. 2.74 ± 1.01 cm2, p = 0.032) of the airway were decreased in the soft palate plane in patients with OSAHS. The AHI was positively correlated with the thickness of the soft palate and lateral pharyngeal wall but negatively correlated with the maximal transverse diameter and cross-sectional area of the airway in the soft palate plane. Conclusions Airway stenosis and pharyngeal tissue hypertrophy are typical characteristics of changes in the structure of the upper respiratory tract in patients with acromegaly who present with OSAHS. AHI is a predictor of the severity of the respiratory tract changes.

Objective: To analyze the visual functions of the elder people in China by Useful Field of View (UFOV) to verify performances in Chinese elders. Methods: A total of 90 participants aged 60 years or above were recruited from residents in the Jiade Senior Apartment and the Fuchengmen Public Health Community in Beijing. Participants completed three tests, Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), Digit Span test and UFOV. We also tested the digit span and UFOV the following year. In this study, graphene aerogels with high mechanical strength were successfully prepared by effectively doping graphene aerogels with different proportions of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA). The structure of the as-prepared aerogels was studied by means of field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), Raman and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The result indicated that the aerogels show a three-dimensional network-like structure and PVA has been successfully incorporated into graphene aerogels. The mechanical properties of the graphene aerogels doped with different proportions of PVA were tested, indicating that the PVA/GAs can support 7000 times of its own weight and its maximum compressive stress can be up to 400 KPa.

A novel three-dimensional (3D) hybrid electrode based on graphene aerogel (GA) modified with a vanadium nitride (VN) film by a sputtering method has been prepared. This method allows for better structural integration of GA and the VN film, resulting in enhanced electrochemical properties. The as-prepared VN/GA shows excellent electrochemical performance, with a maximum specific capacitance of 236.5 F g−1 at a charge/discharge current density of 0.5 A g−1, a good rate capability of 86.3% at 1 A g−1, and 91.8% specific capacitance retention after 1000 cycles. These parameters are superior to those reported for conventional GA- and VN-based electrodes. These findings open a new pathway for the fabrication of novel aerogel-based electrode materials for high-performance supercapacitors.

To study the immunogenicity of EsxA protein of Staphylococcus aureus, the EsxA-pET-28a recombinant plasmid was constructed and the expression product was analyzed by SDS-PAGE and Western blotting after the positive recombinant plasmid was induced by IPTG. Mice were immunized with purified EsxA protein and then the IgG, IgG1 and IgG2a antibody were detected with indirect ELISA. Then the histopathological examination, bacteria loading and immune protection of immunized mice were studied after challenge with S. aureus. The recombinant protein EsxA was successfully induced and expressed. After immunization the EsxA specific antibody titer could reach 1:900. Bacteria loading and pathological damage of liver, spleen and kidney were reduced after immunization with EsxA in the immunized mice. The protection rate of immunized mice was 75%. In conclusion, EsxA protein has good immunogenicity.为分析牛乳源金黄色葡萄球菌 (Staphylococcus aureus) EsxA 蛋白的免疫原性，构建EsxA-pET-28a 重组表达质粒，重组质粒经诱导表达后进行SDS-PAGE 和Western blotting 鉴定。用纯化后重组EsxA 蛋白免疫小鼠，用间接ELISA 检测免疫小鼠血清中的IgG、IgG1 和IgG2a 水平；免疫小鼠经S. aureus 菌株攻击后，检测小鼠肝、脾、肾组织荷菌数和免疫保护率，观察S. aureus 菌株攻击后小鼠肝、脾、肾病理组织学变化。结果表明，成功诱导表达了EsxA 重组蛋白，该重组蛋白免疫小鼠后血清抗体效价可达1∶900，与对照相比，重组蛋白免疫后可减少小鼠肝、脾、肾组织的荷菌数，减轻这些脏器的病理损伤，对免疫小鼠保护率达75%。上述结果表明，该重组EsxA 蛋白具有良好的免疫原性。.

Polydopamine-modified Ag/TiO2 porous nanofibers (PDA-Ag/TiO2 porous NFs) were successfully prepared as a composite catalyst via a simple electrospinning process combined with an impregnation method. It was found that the PDA-Ag/TiO2 porous NFs present a corn-like, coarse, porous structure where the TiO2 NFs look like corn cobs and the Ag nanoparticles (NPs) act as corn kernels. In our research, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were embedded during the original spinning as pores were formed using electrospinning. After calcination, the loss of the CNTs left a lot of holes in the internal structure of the TiO2 NFs that made the specific surface area increase by about 30 percent compared to the pure TiO2 NFs. Ag NPs embedded in the TiO2 NFs could prevent the recombination of electron–hole pairs generated from photocatalysis and could transfer the captured electrons to participate in the photocatalysis reaction process. The PDA which wrapped the TiO2 NFs homogeneously could adsorb organic matter and promote the spatial separation of photogenerated charges. The higher photocatalytic efficiency demonstrated a synergy between the Ag NPs and PDA with PDA playing the role of the gripper to capture organic molecules, and the Ag NPs doped in the TiO2 NFs acting as the electron conveyer which could restrain the recombination of electron–hole pairs. The new composite catalyst has potential application in cleaning up organic pollutants.
