3. Mısır (Zea mays L.) Çeşitlerinin Menemen Koşullarında Verim ve Kalitesinin Belirlenmesi.

The study was conducted in Menemen conditions under main crop conditions in 2021. DKC6980, M14G44, P2088, Sy Giants, Sy Gladius and Kefrancos varieties were used as experimental material. In addition to grain yield, yield components (cob length, number of grains on cob and thousand grain weight) and grain quality parameters (protein, starch, oil, ash and fiber contents) were measured. Furthermore, amino acid distribution in the protein structure of the seeds was determined. Grain yield varied between 12217 - 15698 kg/ha. Thousand grain weight varied between 339.0 - 419.3 g. The highest value was obtained from Kefrancos variety. The number of grains in cob varied between 599.7 - 715.4 pieces. Grain protein content varied between 8.28% - 9.65%. The highest grain protein rate was obtained from Sy Giants and Kefrancos varieties. Oil content varied between 2.82 - 3.59%. The highest crude oil rate was obtained from P2088 variety. In terms of amino acid values in grain, the highest value was glutamate (1.29 - 1.47 g/100g) and the lowest value was histidine amino acid (0.19 - 0.25 g/100g). According to the results of the research, the seed yields of the varieties were above the means of regional. It was concluded that the varieties were suitable for seed production of corn in Menemen conditions. In terms of grain quality, DKC6980 and SY Giants varieties stood out with high starch, fiber and ash rates and glycine and alanine amino acid values. In this study, was conducted in 2018, 2019 and 2020 at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Agriculture Faculty Department of Field Crops, it was aimed to determine morphological and technological traits of some oleic and mid-oleic type safflower genotypes developed by cross breeding. For this purpose, 11 F2 hybrid genotypes obtained from a cross between Dinçer 5-18-1 cultivar and PI 603208 genotype were used as material and compared to two standard oleic local cultivars and parents of these hybrids (Dinçer 5-18-1, PI 603208, Olas ve Asol). In study to determine the agricultural and technological traits, plant height (cm), branch number, head number, head diameter (cm), 1000 seed weight (g), seed yield (kg da-1), hull ratio (%), oil content (%), oil yield (kg da-1) and fatty acid composition (%) were investigated. According to research findings, seed yield values of hybrid genotypes changed between 120.73-187.80 kg da-1, oil content values 31.67-36.49% and oil yield values 40.43-63.92 kg da-1 and showed a wide variation. The highest oil content among hybrid genotypes were obtained from the EC/ol-7 genotype (36.49%), while the highest seed yield and oil yield among genotypes were obtained from the EC/ol-8 genotype (187.80 and 63.92 kg da-1 respectively). The highest oleic oil content among hybrid genotypes was obtained from the EC/ol-11 genotype (61.79%). In this study, it was determined that 5 genotypes in terms of oil content, seed yield and oleic acid composition (EC/ol 5, EC/ol 6, EC/ol 7, EC/ol 8 and EC/ol 11) are superior of the other genotypes in F2 generation. This research was carried out in Samsun ecological conditions to determine the limits of change in oil content and fatty acid composition of safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.), flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) and camelina [Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz.] plants, which are considered as oil plants. As a result of the research, it was determined that the variation in oil content was 6.86%, 4.30% and 3.07% in safflower, flax and camelina, respectively. The variation in palmitic and stearic acids, which are among the saturated fatty acids, was determined as 2.01%, 1.2%, 0.97% and 0.82%, 0.40% and 0.05% in safflower, flax and camelina, respectively. The variation in unsaturated fatty acids oleic, linoleic and linolenic acid was found to be 1.69%, 4.00%, 1.14%; 5.50%, 20.10%, 1.98% and 3.45%, 20.70%, 2.53% in safflower, flax and camelina, respectively. The variation in eicosenoic acid found in safflower and camelina, one of the unsaturated fatty acids, was determined as 0.20% and 1.34%, respectively, and the variation in erucic unsaturated fatty acid found only in camelina was figured out as 0.22%. As a result, it may be more advantageous to use the flax plant, which has a more limited saturated fatty acid composition and a wider variation in unsaturated fatty acid composition than other species, in breeding programs to develop new varieties with desired oil composition due to this genetic background. In addition, in terms of their unsaturated fatty acid compositions, it was determined that all three plant species could be an alternative source of biodiesel. The findings also show that safflower is a source of Omega-6 (80.93%), linseed is a source of Omega-3 (49.50%) and camelina is a potential alternative energy plant as well as a plant species that can be evaluated for medicinal purposes due to its high eicosenoic acid content (16.51%). 9. Effects of Different Sowing Densities on Some Agronomic Characteristics of Camelina (Camelina sativa L.)

This research was carried out to determine the appropriate sowing density in camelina in Tokat ecological conditions. The study was carried out using Ames 26680 camelina genotype in 2016 and 2017 for two years. In this study, 10, 20, 30 and 40 cm row spacings were used. Plant height (cm), number of branches per, number of capsules per plant, number of seed / capsule, thousand seed weight (g), seed yield (kg/da), oil ratio (%) and oil yield (kg/da) were investigated. According to the results, the seed yields of the two years were significantly different. The highest yields were obtained from 20 cm (132,0 kg/da) in 2016 and from 40 cm row spacing (130,6 kg/da) in 2017. As the average of two years, yields from 20, 30 and 40 cm row spacings did not differ significantly. As the average of two years, the oil rate was 36,2% and the oil yield was 43 kg/da. Thus, it is concluded that in fall sowing under Tokat conditions, camelina can be sown in 20 to 40 cm row spacing using 10 kg seed per hectare.

In this experiment, it was aimed to determine the quality characteristics of 10 different oilseed sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) cultivars grown under Kahramanmaraş ecological conditions. The research was carried out in 2016 in the trial area of Kahramanmaraş East Mediterranean Transitonal Zone Agricultural Research of Institute. In the experiment, Coral, 13 TR 001, P64G46, Saray, LG 5580, Bosfora, SY Cadix, Goldsun, P 64 LL 05 and Tarsan 1018 oilseed sunflower varieties were used. Oil ratio, myristic acid, palmitic acid, palmiteloic acid, heptadecanoic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, arachidic acid, eicosenoic (gadoleic) acid, behenic acid and lignoceric acid ratio, O/L (oleic acid/linoleic acid) ratio, one of the oil stability criteria, iodine value ((%P x 1.001) + (%O x 0.899) + (%L x 1.814)), U/S (unsaturated fatty acids / saturated fatty acids) ratio of oil quality factors, hundred seed weight and grain yield were investigated. According to the results, the difference between varieties was found to be very important for all of the traits studied. The data of the study showed that the varieties have oil ratio between 38.12% - 43.55%, oleic acid content between 46.96 % - 86.38%, linoleic acid content between 7.45% - 44.92%, linolenic acid content between 0.205% - 0.307% and grain yield between 1782 - 3178 kg ha-1. In the variety of Tarsan 1018, which has the highest oil rate with 43.55%; stearic acid (4.20%), linoleic acid (0.307%) are highest, while U/S ration (8.81%) and grain yield (1782 kg ha-1) were lowest. Grain yield (3178 kg ha-1), linoleic acid (44.92%) and iodine value (123.79) were the highest in P64G46 variety. However, in 13 TR 001 variety, heptadesenoic acid (0.099%), oleic acid (86.38%), eidosenoic acid (0.224%), lignoseric acid (0.340%), O/L ratio (11.71%) ve U/S ratio (11.93%) were highest. This study was performed as randomized complete blocks with four replications to determine the suitable sunflower genotypes under irrigated conditions of Iğdır in 2017. The developed new sunflower hybrids by sunflower breeding program of TTAE with higher yields in previous researches were used. Determining yield components were head diameter (cm), plant height (cm), 1000 seed weight (g), seed yield (kg da-1), seed oil content (%) and oil yield (kg da-1). In this study, the highest seed yield 16Tr 60 (484.6 kg da-1), 16Tr67 (451.8 kg da-1) and Coral (441.2 kg da-1) genotypes, the highest oil content, 16 Tr 60 (%35,6) and 16 Tr 66 (%34.2) genotypes were determine. The results of the study show that 16 Tr 62, 16 Tr 60 ve Coral genotypes candidates are promising in terms of yield and quality in Igdır ekolojik contitions and reveals that continue to work with this lines is appropriate. 19. Yield and Quality Response of Soybean to Full and Deficit Irrigation at Different Growth Stages under Sub-Humid Climatic Conditions

This study investigated the yield and quality response of soybean [Glycine max L. Merr.] to full and deficit irrigation applied at different growth stages under sub-humid climate conditions over a two-year period. A rain-fed non-irrigated treatment and 13 different irrigation treatments 1 full and 12 deficit irrigations were applied to soybeans at four critical development stages: vegetative V , flowering F , pod formation P and seed enlargement S . Deficit irrigation had a significant effect on seed yield, crude oil content, crude protein content and various agronomic parameters. The highest seed yield 4004 kg ha-1 was obtained with full irrigation based on the replenishment of 100% of soil water depletion from a soil depth of 90 cm at 7-day intervals throughout the development period and the lowest 1974 kg ha-1 with the rain-fed treatment, with a 50.6% difference in average yield between full irrigation VFPS and rain-fed treatments. The rain-fed treatment also resulted in the lowest crude oil content 19.1% and the highest crude protein content 33.6% . As a result, it may be concluded that while VFPS treatment may be the best choice for maximum yield under local conditions, irrigation schedules should be reconsidered when water cost is high and/or water is scarce; in such cases, an irrigation schedule that includes water deficit at the vegetative development stage can be applied

Bu çalışma, ikinci ürün koşullarında bazı ayçiçeği (Helianthus annuus L.) çeşitlerinde farklı azot dozlarının verim ve verim unsurları üzerine etkisini araştırmak amacıyla tesadüf bloklarında bölünmüş parseller deneme deseninde üç tekrarlamalı olarak kurulmuştur. Ayçiçeği çeşitleri (Bosfora, P64LE119 ve LG5582) ana parselleri, azot dozları (0, 5, 10, 15, 20 kg da-1) ise alt parselleri oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada; en yüksek bitki boyu LG5582 çeşidi ile 15 ve 20 kg da-1 N uygulamalarından, bitkide en yüksek tane verimi LG5582 çeşidi ve 20 kg da-1 N dozundan, en yüksek tohum verimi LG5582 çeşidi ile 15 ve 20 kg da-1 N uygulamalarından, en yüksek bin tane ağırlığı P64LE119 çeşidinden ve 20 kg da-1 N uygulamasından, en yüksek hektolitre ağırlığı 15 ve 20 kg da-1 N uygulamalarından, en yüksek protein oranı Bosfora çeşidinden, en yüksek yağ oranı 15 kg da-1 N uygulamasından elde edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak tohum verimi ve yağ oranı bakımından LG5582 çeşidi ve 15 kg da-1 saf N uygulamasının önerilmesi gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

- Abstract
This study was carried out under the ecological conditions of Erzurum/Pasinler with four replications according to randomized blocks trial design in the 2015 raising season, in order to determine suitability of the oil sunflower genotypes for Erzurum ecological conditions. The material of the study was oil-hybrid lines (ERZ 10-3, ERZ 10-8, ERZ 10-1, ERZ 10-24, ERZ 10-11, ERZ 12-12 ve ERZ 11-20) and commercial varieties (LG 5580, BOSFORA ve 08 TR 003) that developed by the TTAE sunflower breeding program, According to the result of the study, significant differences (p<0,01) exist among varieties and lines in terms of grain yield, oil ratio, oil yield, grain weight, plant height and table diameter. The highest seed and crude oil yield was obtained from BOSFORA (279,8 kg da1 and 111,9 kg da-1) cultivars. The highest ratio oil was obtained from 08 TR 003 (41,2%) and ERZ 10-24 (40,8%) line. The lowest seed yield (146,9 kg da-1), crude oil ratio (30,5%) and crude oil yield (44,8 kg da-1) were obtained from the ERZ 10-3 line. The results of the study on occount of efficiency performance show that ERZ 10-11 and ERZ 10-24 lines candidates are promising in terms of yield and quality and reveals that continue to work with this lines is appropriate. - Abstract
Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is an annual plant with number of thistle or thistle less cultivars with broad-leaves, oil and different flower colored varieties. They are tolerant to drought with varying oil percentage of 30-50%. It is known that demand of vegetable oil is increasing every day. Therefore, safflower is an increasingly important plant among the oil seed plants. The aim of the study was to determine the efficiency of the safflower cultivars by maintaining 20, 30, 40 cm row to row and 5, 10, 15 cm plant to plant distance under Ankara conditions during 2015 using cv. Ayaz and Linas. Parameters like plant height (cm), number of lateral branches attached to the main stem, number of capsules per plant, number of seeds per capsule, seed yield (kg da-1) and oil percentage (%) were examined. Significant interactions were noted among all evaluated parameters for row spacings x plant to plant distances x cultivars. When the average values were taken into consideration, the highest yield per plant was found in cv Ayaz with yield of 46.53 g. Maximum seed yield of 157.7 kg da-1 and oil percentage of 47.90% was also determined on cv. Ayaz using 30x10 cm. When the results of the research were compared collectively, it was concluded that cv. Ayaz was more advantageous compared to the cv. Linas under the tested climate and soil conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bu çalışma pelemir (Cephalaria syriaca L.) genotiplerinin (Adana-1, Sivas-1, Karahan) Bolu ili ekolojisindeki performanslarının tespit edilmesi amacıyla 2016-2017 ve 2017-2018 yıllarında yürütülmüştür. Denemeler tesadüf blokları deneme deseni ile 3 tekrarlı olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada; bitki boyu, olgunlaşma gün sayısı, 1000 tane ağırlığı, dekara tohum verimi, yağ oranı ve dekara yağ verimi özellikleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmada; bitki boyu (cm), olgunlaşma gün sayısı, 1000 tohum ağırlığı (g), dekara tohum verimi (kg da-1), yağ oranı (%) ve yağ verimi (kg da-1) değerleri sırasıyla; 109.0-171.0 cm, 215-291 gün, 14-22 g, 52.5-219.0 kg da-1, %19.11-26.12 ve 13.71-44.11 kg da-1 aralığında gerçekleşmiştir. Sivas-1 genotipinin erken olgunlaşma, düşük 1000 tane ağırlığı, düşük verim ve yüksek yağ oranı ile diğer genotiplerden çok farklı olduğu görülmüştür. Pelemir genotiplerinin yağ asidi kompozisyonları incelenmiş ve %14.8-15.5 arasında miristik asit, %7.5-7.7 arasında cis-10-Pentadecanoic asit, %29.8- 30.0 arasında oleik asit ve %29.8-30.6 arasında linoleik asit içerdiği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada kullanılan genotiplerin yağ oranları, tohum ve yağ verimleri dikkate alındığında, Sivas-1 genotipi yağ oranı bakımından öne çıkarken tohum ve yağ veriminde Karahan çeşidi öne çıkmıştır.

- Abstract
This study was carried out to determine seed yield, oil content and oil yield some safflower varieties under Eskisehir ecological conditions and aimed to identify changes by year. This research was conducted at the experimental fields of Transitional Zone Agricultural Research Institute (TZARI), between 2008-2012 using Yenice, Dincer, Remzibey and Balci varieties Linas safflower variety subject to these trials between 2013 and 2015. Data were collected and analyzed according to randomized block design with three replications. Means of seed yield, oil content and oil yield were found 88.6 kg da-1, 32.2% and 29.0 kg da-1; 77.3 kg da-1, 32.0% and 25.1 kg da-1; 159.5 kg da-1, 28.9% and 46.5 kg da-1; 150.0 kg da-1, 33.0 % and 49.9 kg da-1; 176.3 kg da-1, 32.6 % and 58.2 kg da-1; 96.5 kg da-1, 33.1% and 33.0 kg da-1; 122.4 kg da-1, 29.8% and 36.4 kg da-1; 138.6 kg da-1, 29.0 % and 43.2 kg da-1 in 2008-2015, respectively. In the study Balci and Linas varieties higher oil content than other varieties, especially it was determined to Balci has the highest variety in terms of oil yield. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bu çalışmada; 2019 yılında farklı sitoplazmik ana ve restorer hatlar arasında yapılan melezlemeler ile elde edilen yağlık ayçiçeği hibritlerinden bölge koşullarında agronomik açıdan iyi performans gösterenleri belirlemek ve hibritlerle ilgili araştırma bulguları üzerinden üstün özellikte yeni hibritlerin elde edilmesinde kullanılabilecek ebeveynleri seçmek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada materyal olarak, 2019 yılında farklı özelliklere sahip sitoplazmik ana hatlar ile restorer baba hatlar arasındaki melezlemelerden elde edilen 142 test hibriti ve Trakya Bölgesinde ayçiçeği üretiminde en yaygın ekim alanına sahip 6 kontrol çeşidi ( P64LE119, P64LC108, P64LP130, P63LE113, LG5582 ve Roseta) kullanılmıştır. Tekirdağ Namık Kemal Üniversitesi Merkez Kampüsündeki Ziraat Fakültesi, Tarla Bitkileri Bölümüne ait Araştırma ve Deneme Alanı'nda tarla koşullarında 2020 yılında Augmented Deneme Desenine göre 4 tekerrürlü olarak kurulan deneme ile genotiplerin verim, verim unsurları ve yağ içeriği incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, ebeveyn olarak kullanılan sitoplazmik ana (CMS-HA) ve restorer baba (RHA) hatların hibrit üretimindeki heterosis ve heterobeltiosis değerleri belirlenmiştir. Yine tüm genotipler üzerinde yaprak şekli, tüylülük, tabla şekli ve tabla eğimi gibi bazı morfolojik özelllikler ve mildiyö hastalığına dayanıklılık gözlemleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularında; bitki boyu, tabla çapı, sap çapı, ilk çiçeklenme gün sayısı, %50 çiçeklenme gün sayısı, bin tane ağırlığı, tanedeki yağ oranı, kendine döllenme oranı, tane verimi ve yağ verimi için genotipler arasındaki farklar istatistiki açıdan önemli bulunmuştur. Genotiplerin dekara tohum verimleri 4.47-893.30 kg arasında değişmiştir. Tanedeki yağ içerikleri ise % 27.93 – 50.42 arasında bulunmuştur. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, kontrol çeşitlerinden daha üstün performans gösteren 10 adet hibrit belirlenmiştir. Ebeveynlerin hibrit üretimindeki heterosis ve heterobeltiosis değerleri göz önüne alınarak, bölge koşulları için yüksek verim kapasitesine sahip ve mildiyö hastalığına yüksek oranda dayanıklı yağlık ayçiçeği hibritlerini üretebilecek sitoplazmik ana ve restorer hatlar seçilmiştir The aim of this study was to determine superior oil type sunflower test hybids which were developed by hybridization sitoplasmic sterile (CMS) female lines and restorer male lines in 2019 under regional field conditions and to select superior CMS and restorer lines to breed new hybrids. In this study, 142 test hybrids developed by crossing between CMS female lines and restorer male lines in 2019 and 6 control cultivars (P64LE119, P64LC108, P64LP130, P63LE113, LG5582 ve Roseta) which have the largest production areas in Thrace Region were used seed materal. The experiment was conducted according to Augmented Design with four replication to determine seed yield components and seed oil contents of genotypes at Research and Experimental Area of Field Crops, Agricultural Faculty, Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University. In this study, heterosis and heterobeltiosis values of sitoplasmic sterile (CMS) female and restorer male lines were also calculated for some yield components using by their hybrid performances. In addition, some morphological characters such as leaf shape, pubescents, head shape and head slope, and resistance to mildew disease of hybrids and lines were observed. According to variance analysis results, statistically significant differences for genotypes were found in plant height, head diameter, stem diameter, days number from sowing to beginning of flowering, days number from sowing to 50% flowering time, 1000 seeds weight, seed oil content, self fertilization ratio, seed yield and oil yield. Seed yield per decare of hybrids and control cultivars was ranged between 4.47 and 893.30 kg. Seed oil content of this gontypes was obtained between 27.93 and 50.42 %. According to results, 10 test hybrids were determinated for their superior performances than controls. In line with the results; sitoplasmic sterile (CMS) female lines and restorer male lines were selected using their heterosis and heterobeltiosis values calculated from hybrid performances to develop new superior hybrids having higher yield and resistance mildew in Thrace Region.

Mevcut çalışmada, ayçiçeği tarımı açısından Kırklareli ekolojik koşullarına uygun bitki sıklığının ve uygun yağlık, hibrit ayçiçeği çeşidinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, 2020 yılı ayçiçeği yetiştirme sezonunda, Babaeski/Ağayeri Köyü çiftçi tarlasında, tesadüf bloklarında bölünmüş parseller deneme desenine göre 3 tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Denemede üç farklı ayçiçeği çeşidi (PL64LP130, LG 5542 CL ve Suzuka HTS) kullanılmış ve sıra arası mesafesi 70 cm olarak sabit tutularak, beş farklı sıra üzeri mesafesi (18, 22, 26, 30 ve 34 cm) uygulanmıştır. Bu sıra üzeri mesafe uygulamaları ile sırasıyla 7937, 6494, 5495, 4762 ve 4202 bitki/da biki sıklıkları sağlanmıştır. Denemede bitki boyu (cm), tabla çapı (cm), sap çapı (cm), tabla eğimi, tabla merkezindeki tane dolumu, bin tane ağırlığı (g), hektolitre ağırlığı (g/L), hasatta tanelerdeki nem oranı (%), tane verimi (kg/da), yağ oranı (%) ve yağ verimi (kg/da) incelenmiştir. Kırklareli ekolojik koşullarında denemeye alınan çeşitlerden en yüksek verim 268,83 kg/da ile Suzuka HTS ve 259,18 kg/da ile PL64LP130 çeşidinden sağlanmıştır. Sıra üzeri mesafelere ait en yüksek tane verimleri ise 257,65 kg/da ile 30 cm ve 254,22 kg/da ile 26 cm aralığından elde edilmiştir. Bitki sıklığının artması ile bitki boyu, yağ oranı ve hektolitre ağırlığı artarken tabla çapı, sap çapı, tabla merkezindeki tane dolumu ve bin tane ağırlığı azalmıştır., The aim of this research is to determine the optimum plant population and the optimum hybrid, oilseed sunflower cultivar for Kırklareli ecological conditions. The research was conducted in 2020 at a farmer’s field in Babaeski/Agayeri Village and was set up in a randomized complete block as a split plot design with three reps. Three different sunflower cultivars (PL64LP130, LG 5542 CL and Suzuka HTS) were used in this experiment and five different intra-row spacings (18, 22, 26, 30 and 34 cm) were applied while keeping the inter-row spacing constant at 70 cm. With these intra-row spacing applications, 7937, 6494, 5495, 4762 and 4202 plant/decare plant populations were achieved, respectively. Plant height (cm), head diameter (cm), stem diameter (cm), head slope, central filling rate, thousand seed weight (g), hectoliter weight (g/L), seed moisture content at harvest (%), seed yield (kg/da), oil content (%) and oil yield (kg/da) were studied in this research. Among the cultivars that were tested in Kırklareli ecological conditions, the highest seed yield was obtained from Suzuka HTS with 268,83 kg/decare and PL64LP130 with 259,18 kg/decare. In terms of intra-row spacings, the highest seed yield was obtained from 30 cm intra-row spacing with 257,65 kg/decare and from 26 cm intra-row spacing with 254,22 kg/decare. According to this research, as the plant population increased, plant height, oil content and hectoliter weight increased, while head diameter, stem diameter, central filling rate and thousand grain weight decreased.

30. Determination of Oil Ratio and Fatty Acid Composition in the Seeds of Some Flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) Varieties.

In this study, oil ratios and fatty acid components in the seeds of 17 different flax varieties (Sarı-85, Atalanta, Florinda, Floriana, Flanders, Lirina, Mureş, Midin, Mikael, Mc Groger, Antares, Olin, Norman, Linda, Barbara, Dakota, and Fluin) grown under the ecological conditions of Kazova, Tokat, Turkey are determined. For analysis purposes, oil was extracted from seeds by means of cold extraction. Following solvent removal, amounts were calculated. In order to perform fatty acid analysis, first fatty acid methyl esters were formed. Then, gas chromatography method was employed using a FID detector. As the findings of the study revealed, the ratio of oil contained in linseeds ranged from 31.8% to 38.9%. The flax variety having the highest oil ratio was Floriana (38.9%). In the flax varieties analyzed, both the difference between oil ratios and the difference between fatty acid components were found to be statistically significant (p<0.01). The rate of unsaturated fatty acids (85.8-89.0%) were higher than the rate of saturated fatty acids (11.0-14.2%) in the seeds of the flax varieties analyzed. The rates of linolenic acid (omega-3), which is the most significant unsaturated fatty acid for flax, varied between 50.32% and 58.28%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

31. Yield and Quality Response of Soybean to Full and Deficit Irrigation at Different Growth Stages under Sub-Humid Climatic Conditions.

This study investigated the yield and quality response of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] to full and deficit irrigation applied at different growth stages under sub-humid climate conditions over a two-year period. A rain-fed (non-irrigated) treatment and 13 different irrigation treatments (1 full and 12 deficit irrigations) were applied to soybeans at four critical development stages: vegetative (V), flowering (F), pod formation (P) and seed enlargement (S). Deficit irrigation had a significant effect on seed yield, crude oil content, crude protein content and various agronomic parameters. The highest seed yield (4004 kg ha-1) was obtained with full irrigation (based on the replenishment of 100% of soil water depletion from a soil depth of 90 cm at 7-day intervals throughout the development period) and the lowest (1974 kg ha-1) with the rain-fed treatment, with a 50.6% difference in average yield between full irrigation (VFPS) and rain-fed treatments. The rain-fed treatment also resulted in the lowest crude oil content (19.1%) and the highest crude protein content (33.6%). As a result, it may be concluded that while VFPS treatment may be the best choice for maximum yield under local conditions, irrigation schedules should be reconsidered when water cost is high and/or water is scarce; in such cases, an irrigation schedule that includes water deficit at the vegetative development stage can be applied. FT-NIR (Fourier Transform-Near Infrared) spectroscopy is an actively used instrument in detection of sample ingredients in food and industrial areas. In this study, 260 maize samples including hybrids and inbreds with different genetic characteristics were used as material. On these samples, quantitative protein and oil analyses were carried out. Calibration models (n=227) were developed using these results and spectral data collected with FT-NIR instrument from seed and flour samples. Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) and Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) methods were utilized for the purpose of developing models. Reliability of the models was tested with external validation procedure (n=20). Results showed that MLR (RMSEC=0.5482; SEE=0.5494; r=0.882; R2=0.7776) and PLSR (RMSEC=0.5504; SEE=0.5516; r=0.880; R2=0.7758) methods were similar in estimation power for protein ratio when the models were developed from flour samples, while for oil ratio PLSR model (RMSEC=0.4429; SEE=0.4439; r=0.719; R2=0.5179) gave a higher power with respect to MLR method. After external validation, there was no change in model comparison for protein ratio, whereas ML model emerged to be more reliable for oil ratio analysis. The models based on the spectra taken from intact seed samples were not suitable for use. We concluded that statistical method and sample type had significant effects on estimation power, and the measurement method used here yielded more reliable results on flour samples. This study,which investigates the adaptationcapabilities and yield potentials inpeanuts, was carriedoutin the application and researchunit of DicleUniversity Facultyof Agriculture, Department of Field Cropsin2020.The divided parcels were setup with 4 replications according to the trial pattern.In this research in which 9 different peanut types were used;Shell ratio(%),plantheight(cm),fruit yield(kg/da),protein ratio(%),fat ratio(%)and numbe rof fruit sperplant(piece)were examined. Asaresult of the study,fruit yield(kg/da)varied between 408.3kg/da and 767.5kg/da. The lowest fruity yield(kg/da)was taken fromFlorispanvariety(408,3kg/da)and the highest fruityield(kg/da)was taken from Halisbey variety(767.5kg/da).Crude fat ratio varied between 40%and 58.75%.While the lowestcrude oil ratio(%)was obtained from Sultan(40%), Ayşe hanım(40%),NC7(40%)varieties,the high estcrude oil ratio(%)was obtained from Florispan(58.75%).Crude prote in ratio varies between16.82%and 28.73%.While the lowest crude protein ratio(%)i staken from NC-7(16.82%)variety,the high estcrude protein ratio(%) is Florispan(28.75%)were taken from the cultivar.

This study was conducted with Remzibey safflower variety in Ankara ecological conditions in 2010 and 2011. The experiment was established with randomized complete block design with tree replications. Boron doses were B1=0, B2= 100.0, B3=200.0, B4=300.0, B5=400.0 and B6= 500.0 g da-1. Plant height (cm), number of branches per plant (number), number of heads per plant (number), seed yield (kg da-1), 1000 seed weight (g), oil content and fatty acid profile were investigated in the experiment. According to results of this research, boron doses and years had positive impact on plant height (cm), seed yield (kg da-1) and 1000 seed weight (g). The maximal seed yield (203,7 kg/da) and oil content (% 30,6) were obtained with B6 dose in 2011. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Buçalışmada; bölgede ana ürün koşullarında kışlık olarak yoğun yetiştirilenbuğday çeşitlerinin tane verimi, bazı verim öğeleri (m2 de başaksayısı, başak boyu, başakta tane sayısı ve bin tane ağırlığı) ve kaliteperformanslarının (protein oranı, yağ oranı, nişasta oranı, lif oranı ve küloranı) belirlenmesi amacıyla, Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesinde2017 ve 2018 yıllarında yürütülmüştür. Cumhuriyet, Ceyhan 99, Ziyabey, Basribeyve Golia çeşitleri çalışmanın materyalini oluşturmuştur. İki yıllık çalışmadanelde edilen değerler ile yapılan varyans analizi sonucunda; yıllar arasındafark önemli bulunmuştur. Tane verimi 400 kg da-1 – 706 kg da-1,bin tane ağırlığı 31.9 g – 58.3 g başakta tane sayısı değeri 26.3 – 40.8 adet , m2 de başaksayısı değeri ise 400 – 555 adet olarak belirlenmiştir. Tane kalite özellikleri bakımından yıllar arasındafarklılık daha belirgin olmuştur. Çalışmanın her iki yılında ölçülen proteinoranı ortalamaları (sırasıyla %17.0 – %14.7) ekmeklik buğday için arananminimum değerden (%12) ve bölge ortalamasından (%13 - %14) yüksek bulunmuştur.Cumhuriyet çeşidi ilk yıl gösterdiği protein oranı (%18.3) ile potansiyelinikanıtlamıştır. Basribey çeşidi ikinci yıl yüksek nişasta oranı (%63,2) ile öneçıkmıştır. Tane verimi bakımından Cumhuriyet ve Ziyabey çeşitleri önerilebilir.Buna ek olarak Cumhuriyet çeşidi iri taneli yapısı (yüksek bin tane ağırlığı)ile öne çıkmıştır., The purpose of this studyis determined that yield, some yield components (the number of spikes per m2,spike height, number of grain per spikes and thousand grain weight) and somequality characteristics (rate of protein, oil, starch, fibre and ash) of somewheat varieties grown extensively in winter main crops in the Aydin province.The experiment was carried out at Adnan Menderes University, Faculty ofAgriculture in 2017 and 2018. Cumhuriyet, Ceyhan 99, Ziyabey, Basribey andGolia produced the material of the study. As a result of the variance, thedifference between years was found to be significant. It was measured thatgrain yield was in the range of 4000 kg ha-1 - 7060 kg ha-1,number of grain per spike was in the range of 26.3 - 40.8 and thousand grainweight and the number of spikes per m2 values were in the range of31.9 g - 58.3 g and 400 - 555 respectively. The difference between years wasmore apparent in terms of grain quality characteristics. The protein averagesof two years (17.0% - 14.7% respectively) were found to be higher than therequired minimum value for bread wheat (12%) and the protein average of region(13% - 14%). Cumhuriyet proved its potential with protein (18.3%) in the firstyear and Basribey came to the fore with a high starch (63.2%) in the secondyear. Cumhuriyet and Ziyabey can be suggested for grain yield. Cumhuriyet hasalso come forward with its coarse grain structure (high thousand grain weight).

Bu araştırma, üç kolza çeşidinde (Westar, Marinca ve Liravell) farklı fosfor dozlarının (0, 30, 60 ve 90 kg /ha) verim ve verim unsurları üzerine etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla 2004 ve 2005 yıllarında Van ekolojik koşullarında yürütülmüştür. Denemeler Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi deneme tarlalarında tesadüf bloklarında faktöriyel deneme desenine göre 3 tekerrürlü olarak düzenlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda bitki boyu, kapsül sayısı, tohum verimi, protein oranı, yağ oranı ve yağ verimi bakımından fosfor dozları ve kolza çeşitleri arasında istatistiki açıdan önemli farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Genel olarak, fosfor dozu uygulamaları arttırıldıkça verim ve verim öğelerine ait değerler artmıştır. Ancak yağ oranı, tohum ve yağ verimine etkisi bakımından 60 kg/ha ile 90 kg/ha fosfor uygulamaları arasında istatistiki olarak fark bulunmamıştır. İki yıllık ortalamalara göre en yüksek kapsül sayısı (81.9 adet) ve yağ oranı (%39.5) 60 kg P/ha uygulamasından elde edilirken, en yüksek tohum (1458 kg/ha) ve yağ verimi (570 kg/ha) 90 kg P/ha uygulamasından elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmada en yüksek tohum (1419 kg/ha) ve yağ verimi (548 kg/ha) Marinca kolza çeşidinden elde edilmiştir.

The research was conducted to determine the oil yield, oil content and fatty acid composition of different sowing dates in false flax (Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz) under Ankara dried condition in 2010-2011 vegetation season. Sowingdates were Octoberl,October 15, November 1 and November 15 in 2010, and March 15, April 1, April 15 and May 1 in 2011. In this study the experimental design was randomized complete block design with three replications. In research, the oil yield (kg/da), oil content (%) and fatty acid componenets were examined in different sowing dates. The values of oil content (%), oil yield (kg/da) among the different sowing dates ranged from 20,57 to 39,47 %and 0,32 to 129,78 kg/da, respectively. Accord ing to the result of this research, the first sowing date gave the highest value of the oil yield (129,78 kg/da). The highest oil content (39,47) was also recorded for the fourth sowing date. Fatty acids, linolenic add (24,86-32,26%), linoleicacid (18,45-23,36%), oleic acid (16,03-17,59 %) and palmitic acid (5,89-7,04 5%), were main oil components for all sowing dates. The fat content and fatty acid composition of samples of five brands of most commonly consumed Turkish chocolates were determined by gas-liquid chromatography, using a polar 50 m capillary column CP Sil-88 and flame ionization detection. Generally, C16:0, C18:0 and C18:1 were the major fatty acids in all chocolate samples. The fat content varied from 26.10%-41.90%. Total saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and unsaturated fatty acids were determined in the range of 49.57%-64.04%, 32.21%-44.99%, 2.90%-4.94% and 35.15%-49.93%, respectively. Trans fatty acid contents in chocolate samples showed a variation between 0.44% and 0.98%. The low content of trans fatty acids showed that cocoa butter had been used in the chocolate manufacturing. This study was conducted to determine the effect of different row spacing on the yield and yield components of winter sown rapeseed and optimum row spacing under the ecological conditions of Aydin Province, in Turkey. This study was carried in the Adnan Menderes University, Faculty of Agriculture in 2008-2009 growing years in the study, four winter rapeseed cultivars (Licord, Oase, Californium, Orkan) and three row spacing (13 cm, 26 cm and 39 cm) were tested. Seed yield, plant height, number of lateral branches on the main stem, number of pods per plant, seed number per pod, thousand seed weight and crude oil ratio were examined. In the study, on the plant height, lateral branches number, pod number, seed number and seed yield were significantly effected by row spacing.The highest yield was obtained from 13 cm row spacing, while the lowest yield was obtained from 39 cm row spacing in all four cultivars. Farklı ethephon dozlarının aspırde verim, verim öğeleri ile yağ oranına etkilerinin incelendiği hu araştırma 2001 ve 2002 yıllarında Ankara Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü’nde yürütülmüştür. Araştırma tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre üç tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Denemede Dinçer 5-118 çeşidine beş farklı ethephon dozları (0, 50, 100, 200 ve 400 g/ha) sapa kalkma döneminde uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, artan ethephon dozları ile bitki boyu, bin tohum ağırlığı ve bitkide tohum veriminde azalma, yanda! sayısında dozlara göre dalgalanmalar saptanmıştır. Tabla sayısı, tohum sayısı ve dekara tohum veriminde ise 50 g/ha ethephon dozuyla önemli artışlar olduğu belirlenmiştir. En yüksek dekara tohum verimi 110.3 ve 131.3 kg/da ile 50 g/ha ethephon dozundan elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca, en yüksek bitkide tabla sayısı ve tablada tohum sayısı elde edilen 50 g/ha ethephon dozu en yüksek dekara tohum verimini vermiştir. Yağ oranı ise artan ethephon dozlarıyla azalmıştır. Daha yüksek dozlarda yapılan uygulamalarda incelenen özelliklerde azalmalar gözlendiği ve verim öğelerinde ters etkiler oluştuğu gözlenmiştir.

Bazı aspir çeşitlerinde verim, verim unsurları ve yağ içeriğinin tespit edilmesi amacıyla yapılan bu çalışma, 2017-2018 ekim sezonunda kışlık olarak Hatay Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi uygulama alanında yürütülmüştür. Araştırma, tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre 3 yinelemeli olarak kurulmuştur. Denemede materyal olarak 8 aspir çeşidi (Olas, Asol, Linas, Zirkon, Göktürk, Balcı, Dinçer, Olein) kullanılmıştır. Yapılan istatistiki analiz sonucunda incelenen özelliklerin farklı seviyelerde önemli olduğu; tohum verimi (262.78 kg da-1), ham yağ oranı (%38.49) ve ham yağ verimi (101.17 kg da-1) değerleri bakımından Asol çeşidinin, bitki başına tabla sayısı (16.20 adet) ve bin tane ağırlığı (45.56 g) bakımından Dinçer çeşidinin, ilk dal yüksekliği (115.90 cm) ve bitki boyu (163.67 cm) bakımından Linas çeşidinin üstün olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tablada tohum sayısı (23.70 adet) bakımından Göktürk üstün olurken, Balcı çeşidinde bitki başına dal sayısı (8.50 adet) fazla olduğu halde tohum ve ham yağ veriminin düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları Hatay koşullarında Asol çeşidinin başarı ile yetiştirilebileceğini göstermiştir., This study was conducted to determine yield and yield components and oil content of some safflower varieties during winter season of 2017-2018, in Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Research Field. The experimental design was a randomized block design with three replications. Eight safflower varieties (Olas, Asol, Linas, Zirkon, Göktürk, Balcı, Dincer, Olein) were used as plant material. The result of this study showed that the investigated plant parameters were significant among the tested safflower varieties. According to the results; seed yield (262.78 kg da-1), crude oil content (38.49%) and crude oil yield (101.17 kg da-1) were greater in Asol variety, number of heads per plant (16.20 pieces) and 1000 seed weight (45.56 g) were greater in Dinçer variety, first branch height (115.90 cm) and plant height (163.67 cm) were greater in Linas variety. Göktürk was a superior variety in terms of number of seeds provided per head (23.70 pieces). Although the number of branches per plant (8.50 pieces) was greater in Balci variety, seed and crude oil yield were lower in the same variety. The results indicated that safflower variety Asol can be successfully cultivated in Hatay conditions.

Bu araştırma 2017 yılında Namık Kemal Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Tarla Bitkileri deneme alanında yürütülmüştür. Deneme 'Tesadüf Bloklarında Bölünmüş Parseller Deneme Desenine göre 3 tekrarlamalı olarak kurulmuştur. Araştırmada farklı azot dozlarının ketencik bitkisinde verim ve kalite özelliklerine etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada materyal olarak üç ketencik genotipi [PI 304269, Ames 26667 (Boha), Ames 28372 (NE 2006-1)] ile 6 azot dozu (0, 3, 6, 9, 12 ve 15 kg/da) kullanılmıştır. Denemede, bitki boyu, yan dal sayısı, bitki başına tohum verimi, tohum verimi, 1000 tohum ağırlığı, ham yağ oranı ve yağ verimi karakterleri incelenmiştir. Elde edilen verilere göre karakterler üzerinde genotipler ve dozlar arasındaki farklılıkların yanı sıra genotip x doz interaksiyonları da önemli bulunmuştur. Dekara en yüksek tane verimi 110,3 kg/da ile Ames 26667 genotipinden, en düşük verim ise 69,6 kg/da ile Ames 28372 genotipinden elde edilmiştir. PI 304269 genotipinde kontrol parsellerinden elde edilen yağ oranı (% 39,7) en yüksek yağ oranı olarak bulunmuştur. This research was conducted at Applying Research Field, Faculty of Agriculture University of Namık Kemal in 2017. The research was conducted using a randomized complete block, split block design with three replicates. . The aim of this research was to determine effects of different nitrogen doses on seed yield and some quality traits of camelina. The three genotypes of camelina [PI 304269, Ames 26667 (Boha), Ames 28372 (NE 2006-1)] was used as a material. In this research six nitrogen doses (0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 kg/da) were used. In the study plant height, branch number, seed yield per plant, seed yield, 1000 seed weight, oil content and oil yield were investigated. According to the results of this research, differences between genotypes and nitrogen doses as well as genotype x nitrogen doses were found significant. The highest seed yield was determined from Ames 26667 genotype (110,3 kg/da) and the lowest seed yield was determined from Ames 28372 genotype (69,6 kg/da). 53

Bu araştırma Türkiye'nin farklı bölgelerinden toplanmış çerezlik ayçiçeğine ait köy popülasyonlarının ticari ve tescile aday çeşitler ile birlikte bazı verim ve kalite unsurlarının belirlenmesi, üstün olan köylü popülasyonlarının daha sonraki ıslah kademeleri için seçilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma ile ilgili araştırma denemeleri, Tekirdağ koşullarında 2015 ve 2016 yıllarında Tekirdağ Namık Kemal Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi, Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü Araştırma ve Deneme Alanı'nda yürütülmüştür. Denemeler Tesadüf Blokları Deneme Desenine göre üç tekrarlamalı olarak kurulmuştur. Araştırma materyali olarak; 22 popülasyon (Balıkkesir 1, Balıkkesir 2, Kayseri, Hoşköy, Haliçköy 1, Haliçköy 2, Haliçköy 3, Mardin, Sivas, Aksaray 1, Aksaray 2, Gaziantep, Konya, Karaman, Nevşehir, M. Kula 1, M. Kula 2, Nevada, Ala, Arjantin, Kalifornia, Amerikan), iki tescilli çeşit (09 TRÇ 004 ve Palancı-1),bir üretim izinli çeşit (TTAE ÇRZ 13-10) ve dört tescile aday çeşit (TTAE-ÇRZ 13-4, TTAE ÇRZ-13-6, TTAE ÇRZ 13-7 ve TTAE ÇRZ 13-9) olmak üzere 29 farklı genotip kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada; %50 çiçeklenme gün sayısı, çiçeklenme sonu gün sayısı, bitki boyu, sap çapı, tabla çapı, 1000 tane ağırlığı, kabuk oranı, tane boyu, tane eni, dekara tane verimi, yağ oranı ve protein oranı incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre incelenen verim unsurlarından %50 çiçeklenme gün sayısı, çiçeklenme sonu gün sayısı ve tane eni üzerinde yıl, genotip ve yıl x genotip interaksiyonu önemli etki yapmıştır. Bin tane ağırlığı, kabuk oranı ve dekara verim üzerinde genotip ve yıl x genotip interaksiyonunun etkisi önemli olurken tane boyu ve yağ oranı üzerinde yıl ve genotip faktörleri istatistiki açıdan önemli etkide bulunmuştur. Bitki boyu ve protein oranı üzerinde sadece genotip faktörü önemli değişikliğe neden olmuştur. Sap çapı ve tabla çapı üzerinde hiçbir faktör istatistiki öneme sahip olmamıştır. İlk yıl; genotiplerin %50 çiçeklenme gün sayısı 61,67-82,67 gün, çiçeklenme sonu gün sayısı 66,33-94,00 gün, bitki boyu 117,47-218,87 cm, kabuk oranı %38,73-54,73, tane boyu 1,19-2,35 cm, tane eni 0,49-0,92 cm, 1000 tane ağırlığı 64,16-147,50 gram, yağ oranı %25,60-40,93, protein oranı %11,40-19,00 arasında değişirken dekara tane verimi 181,40-782,32 kg arasında değişmiştir. İkinci yıl ise %50 çiçeklenme gün sayısı 65,00-82,33 gün, çiçeklenme sonu gün sayısı 71,33-96,33 gün, bitki boyu 112,80-203,73 cm, kabuk oranı %26,3-56,2, tane boyu 1,27-2,26 cm, tane eni 0,53-0,88 cm, 1000 tane ağırlığı 64,17-114,17 gram, yağ oranı %22,87-40,87, protein oranı %13,30-19,71 ve dekara tane verim değeri 276,19-606,12 kg arasında değişmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna göre Haliçköy 3, Haliçköy-1, Gaziantep, Manisa Kula-1 ve Karaman isimli köylü popülasyonları tane verimi unsurları açısından üstün genotipler olarak daha sonraki ıslah kademeleri için seçilmişlerdir. The study was carried out at Research area of Field Crops Department of Agricultural Faculty of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University in Tekirdağduring 2015 and 2016 growth seasons. The trial was established according to the randomized block designwith three replications. As research material, 22 populations (Balıkkesir-1, Balıkkesir-2, Kayseri, Hoşköy, Haliçköy-1, Haliçköy-2, Haliçköy-3, Mardin, Sivas, Aksaray-1, Aksaray-2, Gaziantep, Konya, Karaman, Nevşehir, M. Kula-1, M. Kula-2, Nevada, Ala, Arjantin, Kalifornia, Amerikan), two registered cultivars (09 TRÇ 004 and Palancı-1), one genotypes with production permit (TTAE ÇRZ 13-10) and four canditate for registered cultivars (TTAE-ÇRZ 13-4, TTAE ÇRZ-13-6, TTAE ÇRZ 13-7 ve TTAE ÇRZ 13-9) were used, In this study, days number from sowing to 50% flowering, days number from sowing toend of flowering, plant height, stem diameter, head diameter, 1000 achenes weight, achene hull content, achene length, achene width, oil content, protein content, the seed yield per decare were investigated. According to the results of the study, days number from sowing to 50% flowering, days number from sowing to end of flowering and achene width were effected by year, genotype and year x genotype interaction. Seed yield, 1000 achene weight and achene hull content were effected by genotype and year x genotype interaction while year and genotype factors had statistically significant effect on achene length and oil content. Plant height and protein content had statistically significant differences only for genotypes. There were not any factor affecting on stem diameter and head diameter. In 2015, days number from sowing to 50% flowering, days number from sowing to end of flowering, plant height, hull content, achene length, achene width 1000 achene weight,oil content, protein content and seed yield per decare ranged between 61,67 and 82,67 days, 66,33 and 94,00 days, 117,47 and 218,87 cm, 38,7 and 54,7, 1,19 and 2,35 cm, 0,49 and 0,92 cm, 64,16 and 147,50 grams, 25,60 and 40,93%, 11,4 and 19,0%, 181,4 and 782,32 kg; respectively. In the second year; days number from sowing to 50% flowering, days number from sowing to end of flowering, plant height, hull content, achene length, achene width 1000 achene weight, oil content, protein content and seed yield per decare ranged between 65,00 and 82,33 days, 71,33 and 96,33 days, 112,80 and 203,73 cm, 26,3 and 56,2%, 1,27 and 2,26 cm, 0,53 and 0,88 cm, 64,17 and 114,17 grams, 22,87 and 40,87%, 13,30 and 19,71%, 276,19 and 606,12 kg; respectively. Based on the researh findings with yield and quality components, Haliçköy-3, Haliçköy-1, Gaziantep, Manisa Kula-1 and Karaman genotypes were selected as superior genotypes for next generation of breeding programs.Keywords: Confectionary sunflower, population, seed yield, protein content, oil content 76

Bu araştırma, azot dozları ve uygulama zamanlarına göre aspir bitkisinin agronomik özellikleri ile yağ oranı üzerine etkilerini incelemek amacıyla 2017 yılında Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi araştırma ve uygulama arazisinde yürütülmüştür. Azot dozlarının (0, 3, 6 ve 9 kg N/da) tamamı ekimle birlikte (UZ1), 1/3'ü ekimle + 2/3'ü üst gübre (UZ2), 1/2 ekimle + 1/2 üst gübre (UZ3) ve 2/3 ekimle + 1/3 üst gübre (UZ4) olacak şekilde uygulanmıştır. Tesadüf bloklarında bölünmüş parseller deneme desenine göre yürütülen çalışmada, bitki boyu, yan dal sayısı, bitkide tabla sayısı, bitki ağırlığı, bitkide tane verimi, bin tane ağırlığı, dekara tane verimi ve yağ oranı incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, azot uygulamaları bitki boyu, yan dal sayısı, tabla sayısı, bitki ağırlığı, bitkide tane ağırlığı ve dekara tane verimini arttırmıştır. Artan azot dozları bitki boyunu 101 cm'den 109 cm'ye, yan dal sayısını 3,23 adet/bitki'den 4,11 adet/bitki'ye, tabla sayısını 3,91 adet/bitki'den 4,34 adet/bitki'ye yükseltmiştir. En yüksek tane verimi 6 kg N/da azot dozundan 191 kg/da olarak elde edilirken, yağ oranı azot uygulanmayan kontrol parsellerinde daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Üst gübre olarak azot uygulamasının ise incelenen özellikle üzerine belirgin bir etkisinin olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, aspirde 6-9 kg/da arası azot dozunun tamamının ekimle birlikte uygulanmasının bitki gelişimi, tane verimi ve yağ oranı bakımından uygun olacağı söylenebilir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Carthamus tinctorius L., azot dozu, uygulama zamanı, verim, yağ oranı This experiment was aimed to investigate the effects of various nitrogen levels and application dates on agronomic characteristics and oil content of safflower at the experimental and research fields of Agricultural Faculty, Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 2017. Nitrogen doses of 0, 3, 6 and 9 kg N/da were applied at sowing (UZ1), 1/3 sowing + 2/3 topdressing (UZ2), 1/2 sowing + 1/2 topdressing (UZ3) and 2/3 sowing + 1/3 topdressing (UZ4). Plant height, branch number, head number, plant weight, seed weight per plant, thousand seed weight, seed yield per decare and oil ratio were investigated in the field trails established in split plots of randomized complete block design. The results showed that nitrogen application promoted the plant height, branch number per plant, head number per plant, plant weight, seed weight per plant and seed yield per decare of safflower. Increased nitrogen doses enhanced plant height from 101 cm to 109 cm, branch number from 3,23 number/plant to 4,11 number/plant and from 3,91 number/plant to 4,34 number/plant in head number. The highest seed yield was recorded at 6 kg N/da application with 191 kg/da while oil ratio was found higher in plants without nitrogen application than the others. It was determined that topdressing nitrogen doses did not have significant effects on the investigated characters. It was concluded that 6-9 kg N/da application at sowing should be advised for high seed yield, plant growth and oil ratio in safflower.Keywords: Carthamus tinctorius L., nitrogen dose, application date, yield, oil ratio 46

Bu araştırmanın amacı; ayçiçeği tarımında uygulanan temel gübreye ilave olarak farklı gelişme dönemlerinde kullanılan makro ve mikro element karışımı yaprak gübresinin çeşitli verim ögeleri yanında özellikle tohum verimi ve yağ oranı üzerine etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmada METEOR CL çeşidi kullanılmış olup: uygulamada kullanılmış olan yaprak gübresi makro ve mikro besinli sıvı yaprak gübresidir. Deneme tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre üç tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Araştırmada; farklı gelişme dönemlerinde uygulanan yaprak gübrelemesinin ayçiçeğinin bitki boyu, tabla çapı, tohum iç oranı, protein oranı üzerine etkisi istatiksel açıdan önemli görülmüştür. Ayrıca; uygulanan yaprak gübresinin ayçiçeğinin tohum tutma oranı, hektolitre, nem içeriği, verim, yağ ve yağ verim oranları için istatiksel olarak önemli bulunmamıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; en yüksek tane verimi 370,3 kg/da ile 4 yapraklı dönem (V4) + ilk tabla oluşumu (R3) uygulamasından, en düşük tane verimi ise 338 kg/da ile Kontrol uygulamasından elde edilmiştir. En uzun bitki boyu 192,6 cm ile 4 yapraklı dönem (V4) + % 50 çiçeklenme devresidir(R5.5) uygulamasından, en kısa bitki boyu ise 185,3 cm ile Kontrol uygulamasından ölçülmüştür. En yüksek hektolitre 38.9kg/hl ile 4 yapraklı dönem (V4) + ilk tabla oluşumu (R3) uygulamasından, en düşük hektolitre ise 34,8kg/hl ile Kontrol uygulamasından elde edilmiştir. Yağ oranı bakımından en yüksek değer %40,7 ile 4 yapraklı dönem (V4) + ilk tabla oluşumu (R3) uygulamasından, en düşük değer ise %38,4 ile Kontrol uygulamasından elde edilmiştir. Tabla çapı bakımından en yüksek değer 23,4cm ile 4 yapraklı dönem (V4) + ilk tabla oluşumu (R3) uygulamasından, en düşük değer ise 18,4 cm ile Kontrol uygulamasından elde edilmiştir. The purpose of this research; In addition to the basic fertilizer applied in sunflower cultivation, macro and micro element mixture used in different development periods is the determination of the effect of the foliar fertilizer on the yield and fat ratio as well as the various yield components. This research; In 2019, it was conducted in a farmer's field in Dutluca village of Saricam district of Adana province in Cukurova region. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different application times of the leaf fertilizer 1. Area without foliar fertilizer (Control). 2. 4 leaf period (V4), 3. 4 leaf period (V4) + first table formation (R3) , 4. 4 leaf period (V4) + first flowering period (R5.1), 5. 4 leaf period (V4) + %50 flowering cycle (R5.5) on yield and yield components of sunflower. METEOR CL variety was used in the study: the leaf fertilizer used in the application is macro and micronutrient liquid leaf fertilizer. The experiment was designed as randomized block design with three replications. In the study; The effect of foliar fertilization on plant height, table diameter, seed internal rate and protein content of sunflower was found to be statistically significant. Also; Sunflower seed retention rate of leaf fertilizer applied, hectolitre, moisture content, yield, oil and oil yield rates were not found to be statistically significant. According to the results of the research; highest grain yield 4 leaf period (V4) + first table formation (R3) with 370.3 kg/da app from the, repeating average of the lowest grain yield was obtained from Control application with 338 kg/da. The longest plant length was measured with 4 leaf period (V4) + %50 flowering cycle (R5.5) with 192.6 cm, and the shortest plant length repetition average was measured with NP (Control) with 185.3 cm. The highest hectoliter was obtained from 4 leaf period (V4) + first table formation (R3) with 38.9, the lowest hectoliter was obtained from Control with 34.8. In terms of fat content, the highest mean value was obtained from 4 leaf period (V4) + first table formation (R3) with 40.7% and the lowest value was obtained from Control with 38.4%. In terms of table diameter, the mean value of the repetition was highest with 23.4cm 4 leaf period (V4) + first flowering period (R5.1) and the lowest value was obtained with Control with 18.4 cm.

Aspir (Carthamus tinctorius, L.) insan beslenmesine uygun yağa ve yağ bileşenlerine sahip sıcağa ve kurağa dayanıklı bir yağ bitkisidir. Bu nedenle, Türkiye'nin yemeklik yağ açığının kapatılmasında potansiyele sahip olması, alternatif alanlarda yetiştirilebilmesi, münavebeye girebilmesi ve nadas alanlarını daraltması gibi nedenlerle üzerinde önemle durulması gerekir. Bu çalışma, Diyarbakır Dicle Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Tarla Bitkileri deneme alanında Kasım 2017'de kurulmuştur. Denemede iki farklı aspir (Dinçer ve Remzibey) çeşidine sekiz farklı azot dozu (0,3,6,9,12,15,18 ve 21 kg/da) uygulanarak verim ve kalite özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre 3 tekrarlamalı olarak yapılmıştır. Denemede yer alan çeşitlerin bitki boyu(cm), bitki dal sayısı(adet), bitki başına tabla sayısı(adet), tabla çapı(mm), tabladaki tohum sayısı(adet), hasat indeksi(%), tane verimi (kg/da) bin tane ağırlığı (g), yağ oranı (%), yağ verimi (kg/da) ile protein oranı(%) özellikleri incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, bitki boyu 98,10-105,53 cm, bitki başına dal sayısı 6,60- 8,27 adet/bitki, tabla sayısı 10,87- 15,60 adet/bitki tabla çapı 19,72-23,12 mm, bin tane ağırlığı 32,44-45,84 gram, tabladaki tohum sayısı 23-28,6 adet/bitki, tohum verimi 218,92-345,85 kg/da, yağ oranı oranı % 28,07-%34,30 yağ verimi 62,33-117,48 kg/da, hasat indeksi %22,23-%30,74, protein oranı % 21,58-31,74 arasında değişim göstermiştir. Yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda en yüksek değerler; bin tane ağırlığı ve protein oranı için 0 kg/da azot dozundan; hasat indeksi, tohum verimi ve yağ verimi özelikleri için 9 kg/da azot dozundan; bitki boyu ve tablo sayısı için 12 kg/da azot dozundan; dal sayısı için 18 kg/da azot dozundan; tablada tohum sayısı 21 kg/da azot dozundan elde edilmiştir. Yapılan çalışmada hasat indeksi, yağ verimi ve tohum verimi bakımından en yüksek değerler Remzibey çeşidinden elde edilmiştir. Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is a heat and drought resistant oil plant with suitable oil and fat components for human nutrition. Therefore, the safflower should be emphasized for reasons such as increasing edible oir requirement of Turkey, to be grown in the alternative area, to capable of rotation and narrowing the fallow field. This study was established in November 2017 in Diyarbakir Dicle University Faculty of Agriculture Field Crops experimental area. Eight different nitrogen doses (0,3,6,9,12,15,18 and 21 kg / da) were applied to two different safflower (Dinçer and Remzibey) varieties to determine yield and quality characteristics. The research was conducted with 3 replications according to randomized block design. Plant height (cm), number of plant branches (number), number of tables per plant (number), diameter of table (mm), number of seeds (number), harvest index (%), grain yield (kg / da) thousand grain weight (g), oil content (%), oil yield (kg / da) and protein content (%) were investigated. According to the results of the research, plant height is 98,10-105,53 cm, number of branches per plant is 6,60-8,27 units / plant, number of trays is 10,87-15,60 units / plant table diameter is 19,72-23, 12 mm, thousand grain weight 32,44-45,84 grams, the number of seeds in the table 23-28.6 pieces / plant, seed yield 218,92-345,85 kg / da, the oil rate is 28.07% - 34,30% , 3 fat yield 62.33-117.48 kg / da, harvest index 22.23% -30.74%, protein content ranged between 21.58-31.74%. As a result of the evaluations made the highest values were obtained for thousand grain weight and protein content from a nitrogen dose of 0 kg / da; for harvest index, seed yield and oil yield characteristics from nitrogen dose of 9 kg / da; for plant height and number of tables from the nitrogen dose of 12 kg / da; for number of branches from nitrogen dose of 18 kg / da; for number of seeds in the table from nitrogen dose of 21 kg / da. Adana ili Sarıçam ilçesinin Dutluca Mahallesinde özel şahsa ait tarımsal alanda 2019 yılı ayçiçeği yetiştirme sezonunda yürütülen bu çalışmada, üç farklı ayçiçeği çeşidi ve beş farklı ekim sıklığının verim ve önemli tarımsal özelliklere etkileri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada LG 50.585, Duet CL ve Sanbro MR çeşitleri materyal olarak kullanılmıştır. Ekimde sıra arası mesafe tüm uygulamalarda 70 cm olarak tutulmuştur. Uygulanan 5 farklı sıra üzeri mesafeleri 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm ve 35 cm şeklindedir. Araştırma da çıkış süresi, çiçeklenme süresi, olgunlaşma süresi, bitki boyu, tabla çapı, tohum tutma oranı, tohum iç oranı, protein oranı, hektolitre ağırlığı, tohum verimi, yağ verimi, yağ oranı ve hasatta tohumlardaki nem içeriği karakterleri değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre ekimde uygulanan farklı sıra üzeri mesafelerin tabla çapı, tohum tutma oranı, protein oranı, hektolitre ağırlığı, tohum verimi ve yağ verimine önemli etkileri olmuştur. Çeşitlerin dekara tohum verimleri 465 kg/da ile 344,6 kg/da arasında değişmiştir. En yüksek verimlere 15 cm sıra üzeri mesafede ulaşılmıştır. Bu bitki sıklığını 20’lik sıra üzeri uygulaması izlemiştir. This experiment was carried out during the sunflower growing season of 2019 in the private agricultural area of Dutluca District of Sarıçam district of Adana Province, effects of three different sunflower varieties and five different sowing frequencies on yield and important agricultural characteristics were tried to be determined. In the research, Lg 50.585, Duet Cl and Sanbro Mr varieties were used as materials. The distance between planting rows was kept as 70 cm in all applications. 5 different row distances are 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm and 35 cm. In the research, the output time, flowering time, ripening time, plant height, table diameter, seed holding rate, seed internal rate, protein rate, hectolitre weight, seed yield, oil yield, oil content and moisture content of the seeds in the harvest were evaluated. According to the research results, different row spacings applied in planting had significant effects on table diameter, seed holding ratio, protein ratio, hectoliter weight, seed yield and oil yield. Seed yields of varieties ranged from 465 kg / da to 344,6 kg / da. The highest yields were reached at a distance of 15 cm. The frequency of this plant was followed by 20 row application.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 2018 yılında Eskişehir ekolojik koşullarında 3 farklı ekim zamanının (22 Mart, 29 Mart, 5 Nisan) 3 farklı keten çeşidi (Sarı-85, Royal ve Olin) üzerindeki etkilerini belirlemektir. Çalışma Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi, Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü deneme tarlasında yürütülmüştür. Deneme Tesadüf Bloklarında Bölünmüş Parseller Deneme Desenine göre 2 faktörlü ve 3 tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Denemede ana parsellere 3 farklı zamanda ekim ve alt parsellere ise 3 farklı çeşit yerleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada; 3 farklı ekim zamanının 3 farklı keten çeşidinde bitki boyu, ilk dallanma yüksekliği, bitki başına dal sayısı, kardeşlenme, bitki başına kapsüllü dal sayısı, bitki başına tohum verimi, 1000 tohum ağırlığı, biyolojik verim, tohum verimi, yağ oranı, yağ asitleri kompozisyonu ve yağ verimi üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır.Sonuç olarak Eskişehir ekolojik koşullarında yapılacak olan keten tarımı için en uygun ekim zamanının 22 Mart ve en uygun çeşidin ise Sarı-85 olduğu belirlenmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Keten (Linum usitatissimum L.), ekim zamanı, çeşit, yağ oranı, yağ asidi kompozisyonu, verim The aim of this study is to determine the effect of 3 different sowing times (22 March, 29 March, 5 April) on 3 different flax (Sarı-85, Royal and Olin) genotypes in Eskişehir ecological conditions in 2018. The study was carried out in the experimental field of University of Eskişehir Osmangazi, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field Crops. The experiment was performed in Randomized Complete Block Design with 2 factors and 3 replications. In the experiment, 3 different sowing times were placed in the main plot and three different kinds of flax genotypes were placed in the subplots. In this study; the effect of 6 different sowing times on 3 different kinds of flax will be determined for plant height, first branch height, number of branches per plant, tillering, capsule number per plant, branches per plant, seed yield per plant, 1000 seed weight, biological yield, seed yield, oil content, fatty acid composition, and oil yield.As a result, the most suitable sowing time for the flax cultivation in Eskişehir ecological conditions was determined as March 22 and the most suitable cultivar was Olin.Keywords: Flax (Linum usitatissimum L.), Sowing time, Cultivars, Oil rate, Oil acids composition, yield 63

Asteraceae familyası Centaurea cinsine ait Centaurea balsamita Lam. türüyle ilgili yapılan birçok araştırmada türün Konya ilinde tabii olarak yetişmekte olduğu, en fazla yetiştiği ilçeler arasında da Çumra, Seydişehir ve Yalıhüyük ilçelerinin de bulunduğu belirtilmektedir. Centaurea balsamita türünün ülkemiz topraklarına uygun, tabii olarak yetişen, yetiştirildiği takdirde üretim maliyeti az, hasat ve işçiliği kolay olması nedeniyle yem açığı olan ülkemizde bundan sonra yapılacak hayvan besleme çalışmalarında yem olarak kullanılabilmesine ışık tutabilmek amacıyla bu araştırma yapılmıştır. Centaurea balsamita Lam. bitki örnekleri Çumra ve Seydişehir ilçelerinin 4 farklı yönlerinden ve Yalıhüyük ilçesinde batı yönde yoğun bitkiye rastlanılmadığından 3 yönden alınmıştır. Centaurea balsamita Lam. bitkilerinin çiçeklenme dönemi sonunda belirlenen yerlerde arazide gerekli sayım ve ölçümleri yapılmış ve alınan bitki örneklerinden yapılan laboratuvar analizleri ile bazı bitkisel ve kimyasal besin özellikleri belirlenmiş ve sonuçları "Tesadüf Blokları Deneme Desenine" göre istatistiki analize tabi tutulmuştur. Bitkilerin toplanıldığı ortamlarda ki m2 'deki bitki sayısı, bitki boyu ve bitkinin farklı kısımlarının yaş ve kuru ağırlıkları (bitki yaş ağırlığı, tabla yaş ağırlığı, bitki kuru ağırlığı, tabla kuru ağırlığı), protein oranları, ihtiva ettiği mikro elementler, yağlar ve yağ oranları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca bitkilerin akrabalık ilişkileri tespiti analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; m2'deki bitki yoğunluğu en fazla 19.25 adet ile Çumra'nın doğusunda, bitki boyu en yüksek 170.75 cm ve bitki yaş ağırlığı en fazla 376.00 gr ile Seydişehir'in güneyinde, bitki kuru ağırlığı en fazla 240.75 gr ve tabla kuru ağırlığı en fazla 65.25 gr ile Yalıhüyük'ün güneyinde, tabla yaş ağırlığı en fazla 116.00 gr ile Seydişehir'in kuzeyinde, ve protein oranı en fazla gövdede % 13.34 ile Çumra'nın batısından alınan bitki örneklerinde tespit edilirken, tablada en fazla protein oranı % 15.80 ile Çumra'nın güneyinden kaydedilmiştir. Yağ oranı değerleri bakımından en fazla ham yağ oranı % 10.71 ile Çumra'nın kuzeyinde, en fazla palmitik asit (% 27.56) ve oleik asit (%15.22) Yalıhüyük'ün güneyinde ve linoleik asit ise % 39.6 ile Yalıhüyük'ün kuzeyinden alınan bitkilerden elde edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda akrabalık ilişkilerinin tespiti adına yapılan analizlerde Seydişehir ve Yalıhüyük ilçelerine ait genotipler 0.6 benzerlik katsayısı ile benzerken Çumra ilçesine ait genotip 0.2 benzerlik katsayısı ile diğer iki genotipten ayrışmaktadır. Bu çalışmada; Centaurea balsamita'nın incelenen bazı bitkisel, kimyasal özellikleri ve mikro element içeriği bakımından elde edilen sonuçlara göre yem bitkisi olarak kullanıma uygun olduğu ve bitkinin parçalanarak veya farklı işlemler uygulanarak yem olarak değerlendirilebileceği öngörülmektedir., It is stated in many researches about Centaurea balsamita Lam. species belonging to Centaurea kind of Asteraceae family that they are naturally growing in Konya province and Çumra, Seydişehir and Yalıhüyük are among the most growing districts. Since Centaurea balsamita being suitable for the soil of our country, growing naturally, low production cost and easy harvesting and workmanship if grown; this study was done in order to shed light on the feasibility of being used as feed in animal feeding studies to be carried out in the country where there is deficit in feed. Centaurea balsamita Lam. plant samples were taken from 4 different directions of Çumra and Seydişehir districts and from 3 different directions of Yalıhüyük province as they were not found in the west. Necessary counts and measurements of Centaurea balsamita Lam. plants were done at the designated sites at the end of the flowering period. Some plant and chemical nutrient characteristics were determined by laboratory analyzes of the plant samples taken. The results were subjected to statistical analysis according to "Experimental Design of Random Blocks". Plant density, plant height and dry weights (plant wet weight, slab wet weight, plant dry weight, slab dry weight), protein ratios, micro elements, oils and oil ratios of different parts of the plant were determined in square meter of the environment in which the plants are gathered. According to the results of the research; the maximum plant density in square meter was determined in the east of Çumra with 19.25 pieces; plant height maximum 170.75 cm and plant wet weight of up to 376.00 gr in the south of Seydişehir, plant dry weight maximum 240.75 gr and slab dry weight up to 65.25 gr in the south of Yalıhüyük, slab wet weight in the north of Seydisehir with maximum 116.00 gr and the highest protein ratio at the stem with 13.34% in the west of Çumra was determined in the samples. The highest protein ratio on the slab was recorded from samples taken from the south of Çumra with 15.80%. In terms of oil ratio values; the highest crude oil ratio was 10.71% from the plants of the north of Çumra, the highest palmitic acid (27.56%) and oleic acid (15.22%) were found in the south of Yalıhüyük and linoleic acid was found in the samples taken from the north of Yalihüyük with 39.6%. At the same time, genotypes belonging to Seydisehir and Yalıhüyük districts were similar with the similarity coefficient of 0.6, whereas genotype of Çumra district was found to be different from the other two genotypes with 0.2 similarity coefficient in the analyzes made in order to determine the kinship relations of the seeds. In this study; it is predicted that Centaurea balsamita is suitable for use as a feed plant according to the results of some investigated herbal, chemical properties and micro element contents and can be evaluated as feed by breaking down the plant or applying different treatments., Bu tez çalışması Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Koordinatörlüğü tarafından 1620108 nolu proje ile desteklenmiştir.
