Renewable energy sources (RES) are seen as a means of the fuel and energy complex carbon footprint reduction but the stochastic nature of generation complicates RES integration with electric power systems. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and improve methods for forecasting of the power plants generation using the energy of the sun, wind and water flows. One of the ways to improve the accuracy of forecast models is a deep analysis of meteorological conditions as the main factor affecting the power generation. In this paper, a method for adapting of forecast models to the meteorological conditions of photovoltaic stations operation based on machine learning algorithms was proposed and studied. In this case, unsupervised learning is first performed using the k-means method to form clusters. For this, it is also proposed to use studied the feature space dimensionality reduction algorithm to visualize and estimate the clustering accuracy. Then, for each cluster, its own machine learning model was trained for generation forecasting and the k-nearest neighbours algorithm was built to attribute the current conditions at the model operation stage to one of the formed clusters. The study was conducted on hourly meteorological data for the period from 1985 to 2021. A feature of the approach is the clustering of weather conditions on hourly rather than daily intervals. As a result, the mean absolute percentage error of forecasting is reduced significantly, depending on the prediction model used. For the best case, the error in forecasting of a photovoltaic plant generation an hour ahead was 9 %.

The increase in the levels of short-circuit currents in the power system of the Republic of Belarus requires the study of the parameters of the electrodynamic stability of the main structural elements of electrical installations with flexible conductors. In case of a short circuit in the network, currents tenfold exceeding the rated one hundreds of times can flow through the current-carrying part of the device. When the magnetic fields formed by these currents interact, significant electromagnetic forces arise, which have a destructive effect both on the current-carrying parts themselves and on the structural elements of electrical installations, viz. support insulators, switching devices, measuring equipment. The movement of the wires in a short-circuit mode leads to the appearance of significant dynamic loads in them, which, in turn, are transmitted to the portals, support insulators and electrical devices. A topical problem is the occurrence of unacceptable mechanical forces in the main structural elements that can cause their destruction. Thus, the analysis of the physical and mechanical parameters and geometric dimensions of the flexible busbar of switchgear shows that a violation of the condition of electrodynamic resistance to tension is unlikely due to the high mechanical strength of the large-section steel-aluminum wires used. At the same time, span-limiting portals, support insulators and other electrical devices have significantly lower permissible bending loads. When exposed to dynamic forces, the conductors bend and transfer the load to the structural elements which have certain elasticity. Thus, a reliable determination of dynamic loads, taking into account the current-carrying parts acting on the supporting structures, is possible only if a dynamic task is set. The article describes the methods of mathematical modeling and computational experiment for analyzing the parameters of the electro-dynamic stability of the main structural elements which are determined using coefficients that depend on the natural frequencies of oscillations and the nature of changes in dynamic forces over time. To solve these problems, mathematical models are compiled and boundary value problems are formulated for calculating the electrodynamic stability of structural elements, taking into account the possible coincidence of the frequencies of natural and forced oscillations of structural elements taking into account the probable coincidence of the frequencies of forced and natural vibrations of structural elements.

The specificity of overhead power lines is associated with the fact that the length of conductors between the supporting structures can reach tens of thousands of meters. Wires and their components are exposed to climatic factors, viz. wind, rain, ice, snow. As compared to other structural elements, conductors are of the highest flexibility and lowest rigidity, and, therefore, they are the most sensitive elements to these effects. Since the early fifties of the XX century, the increase in energy consumption has caused the construction of high and ultra-high voltage overhead lines with split phases. For these types of conductors, new forms of oscillations have been noticed in the areas between the struts, the essence of which is torqueing the split phase. As a result, there is a violation of the torsional stability of the phase: collision of wires in the middle of sub-span and friction of wires of stranded conductor against each other, which leads to damaging conductors and, as a consequence, to disruption of power supply to consumers. Almost any overhead lines may be subjected to oscillations of wires in the span under the influence of wind. One of the types of such mechanical oscillations is galloping, i. e. low-frequency oscillations of wires with an amplitude reaching the value of the boom of wire sagging, and, taking into account the possibility of elongation of the wire, even exceeding it. Fluctuations in the galloping can cause significant mechanical forces and last long enough to lead to the destruction of structural elements of power lines, viz. wires, insulators, fittings and even pillars. Due to the large amplitude of oscillations, conductors of neighboring phases can approach each other at an unacceptable distance, resulting in a short circuit. The boundary value problem of the torsional stability calculation of the split phase with a given multiplicity of splitting has been set and solved. The critical lengths of the sub-spans at which the stable violation of torsional stability is most likely have been determined. A computer program has been developed, which can be used in the design of high-voltage lines with split phase.

In aerial transmission lines aluminium multiwire conductors are in use. Owing to their flexible design the electrodynamic effect of short circuit currents may lead to intolerable mutual rendezvous and even cross-whipping of the phase conductors. The increasing motion of the conductors caused by effect of the short-circuit electrodynamic force impulse is accompanied by the dynamic load impact affecting the conductors, insulating and supporting constructions of the aerial lines. Intensity of the short-circuit currents electrodynamic impact on the flexible conductors depends on the short circuit current magnitude. For research into electrodynamic endurance of the conductors of the aerial lines located at the vertices of arbitrary triangle with spans of a large length, the authors assume the conductor analytical model in the form of a flexible tensile thread whose mass is distributed evenly lengthwise the conductor. With this analytical model, by the action of the imposed forces the conductor assumes the form conditioned by the diagram of applied external forces, and resists neither bending nor torsion. The initial conditions calculation task reduces to solving the flexible thread statics equations. The law of motion of the conductor marginal points comes out of the conjoint solution of dynamic equations of the conductor and structural components of the areal electric power lines. Based on the proposed algorithm, the researchers of the Chair of the Electric Power Stations of BNTU developed a software program LINEDYS+, which in its characteristics yields to no foreign analogs, e. g. SAMSEF. To calculate the initial conditions they modified a software program computing the flexible conductor mechanics named MR 21. The conductor short-circuit electrodynamic interaction estimation considers structural elements of the areal lines, ice and wind loads, objective parameters of the short circuit. The software programs are accommodated with the simple and intelligible user interface and can produce automatic reports. For the computation certainty valuation of the developed software program, comparison of the experimental and design values was performed on an engineering prototype span of the French state-owned company Electricite de France.
