A 20-year-old girl came to the Tianjin Medical University Eye Hospital because of progressive herniation of her right eye for 3 months. Examination revealed a huge mass behind the right eyeball, which was clinically diagnosed as a space-occupying lesion of the right orbit. Because the tumor was close to the nerve, most of the tumor was resected and pathologically diagnosed as a poorly differentiated leiomyosarcoma. Orbital evisceration was performed later. We compared the diversity of endophytes in buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench.) seeds collected from the Dingxi, Datong, and Xizang autonomous region in China. The ITS and 16S rRNA gene sequences of endophytic fungi and bacteria were obtained, respectively. The obtained raw reads were subjected to quality control and then classified to microbial genomes. All effective tags were clustered into operational taxonomic units (OTUs) and the representative sequences were selected for the annotation of taxonomic information. Afterwards, alpha and beta diversity analyses, a taxonomic composition, and differential analyses were performed. A total of 316854 and 942202 clean reads were obtained from all samples for bacteria and fungi, respectively. The diversity of endophytes varied at the three different locations. At the genus level, the top 5 dominant bacteria were Fraxinus excelsior, Escherichia shigella, Pseudomonas, Hymenobacter, and Sphingomonas, while the top 5 dominant fungi belonged to Cryptococcus, Aureobasidium, Botrytis, Acremonium, and Didymella. Pseudomonas, Aureimonas, and Beauveria were also found in the seeds from Xizang, Datong, and Dingxi. The present study for the first time investigated the microbiome from different environments of buckwheat using sequencing technology. The data will help to excavate the potential of biological control of diseases and pests and inoculation of beneficial microbiome to promote crop growth.

There exists a complex relationship between liver and thyroid hormones. Liver plays an important role in the activation, inactivation, transportation, and metabolism of thyroid hormones. At the same time, thyroid hormones also affect hepatocytes activity and liver metabolism, such as lipid and bilirubin metabolism. Importantly, thyroid hormone levels often change abnormally in patients with liver cirrhosis. Therefore, studying the change of thyroid hormone levels in patients with liver cirrhosis has a certain clinical value for assessing the severity, prognosis, diagnosis and treatment. To investigate the clinical manifestations and imaging characteristics of patients with different types of infectious sacroiliitis. Clinical data of 40 patients diagnosed with infectious sacroiliitis were retrospectively analyzed. Among the 40 patients, 16 patients were diagnosed as non-brucellar and non-tuberculous infectious sacroiliitis (ISI), 13 with tuberculous infectious sacroiliitis (TSI), and 11 with brucellar sacroiliitis (BSI). In the ISI and TSI group, female patients accounted for 11/16, 12/13, while the proportion of unilateral involvement was 15/16 and 12/13, respectively. Compared with ISI and TSI group, BSI patients were mainly male (8/11) and presented more bilateral involvement (6/11) (总结并分析不同类型感染性骶髂关节炎的临床与影像学特点。回顾性分析40例感染性骶髂关节炎患者的临床资料，其中非布鲁菌非结核性感染性骶髂关节炎（ISI）16例，结核性骶髂关节炎（TSI）13例，布鲁菌感染性骶髂关节炎（BSI）11例。ISI者中女性11例，TSI者中女性12例。ISI者中骶髂关节单侧受累15例，TSI者中12例。与ISI者、TSI者比，BSI者男性（8例）和骶髂关节双侧受累（6例）多见。磁共振成像（MRI）见骨侵蚀ISI者6例，TSI者7例，BSI者2例；MRI见脓肿形成ISI者3例，TSI者4例，BSI者1例。40例患者经抗感染和抗结核治疗后症状多于1～2周缓解，但MRI恢复较慢，3例（2例ISI者，1例BSI者）患者治疗6（3～9）个月复查MRI基本正常，8例（4例ISI者，4例TSI者）患者治疗3.5（2～18）个月复查MRI仍异常。ISI、TSI多为骶髂关节单侧受累，女性多见，骶髂关节骨质破坏明显，周围软组织受累及脓肿形成多见。BSI较少出现骨质破坏及脓肿形成。感染性骶髂关节炎患者MRI影像学恢复滞后于临床表现。.

Radiation-induced bowel injury is a common complication of radiation therapy for pelvic malignancy. Given the huge number of patients diagnosed with pelvic malignancy, the number of patients diagnosed with radiation-induced bowel injury increased year by year, which put a great burden on the clinical diagnosis and treatment of radiation-induced bowel injury. In particular, chronic radiation-induced bowel injury, which is manifested in the process of prolonged, repeated and progressive aggravation, seriously affects the physical and mental health of patients and makes clinical diagnosis and treatment difficult. However, due to insufficient attention and understanding from doctors and patients, standardized diagnosis and treatment of radiation-induced bowel injury still have a long way to go. Radiation-induced bowel injury is self-limited but irreversible. During diagnosis, we should pay attention to overall evaluation of the stage of disease based on clinical symptoms, endoscopic examination, imaging examination, pathology and nutritional risk. The treatment methods include health education, drug therapy, enema therapy, formalin local treatment, endoscopic treatment and surgical treatment, etc. The treatment decision-making should be based on clinical symptoms, endoscopic or imaging findings to alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients as the primary goal and to improve the long-term quality of life of patients as the ultimate goal.盆腔恶性肿瘤接受放射治疗后可出现肠道的放射性损伤，我国每年放射性肠损伤患者的基数庞大，诊治压力巨大，尤其是慢性放射性肠损伤，表现为迁延反复、进行性加重的过程，严重影响患者身心健康，临床诊治难度大。而目前医患对疾病的重视度与认识度不足，其规范化诊治水平尚处于初期阶段。放射性肠损伤具有一定的自限性，亦有相当比例的病例难以逆转，在明确诊断的同时应注意从临床症状、内镜检查、影像学检查、病理学及营养风险角度进行整体病情评估，准确把握疾病所处阶段。治疗方法包括健康宣教、药物治疗、灌肠治疗、甲醛局部治疗、内镜治疗及外科手术治疗等，治疗决策应综合临床症状与内镜或影像学等表现，以缓解患者临床症状为首要目的，改善患者长期生活质量为最终目标。.

The aim of this study was to explore the effect of depression of different degrees on inflammatory response and immune function in patients with ovarian cancer. One hundred and eight cases of ovarian cancer according to the Federation Internationale of Gynecologie and Obstetrigue (FIGO) stage II~III who visited the Gynecology Department of Affiliated HongQi Hospital of MuDanJiang Medical University between September 2015 and May 2017 were enrolled in the study. After being hospitalized, they were divided into two groups according to their Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) scores. The total score of BDI is 63, with 0~4 for the normal group (25 cases), 5~13 for the mild depression group (24 cases), 14~20 for the moderate depression group (28 cases), and 21~63 for the severe depression group (31 cases). The immune function, inflammatory reaction, tumor markers [CA125, human epididymis protein-4 (HE4), insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I)], platelet technology and D-dimer index were compared between the four groups. The results showed that there were different levels of depression in patients with ovarian cancer in II~III stage, and the degree of depression could stimulate the level of serum-6, and TNF -α in serum increased. The proportion of CD3+, CD4+ and NK cells in patients with severe depression decreased, and their immunity also decreased. Depression increased the levels of CA125, HE4 and IGF-I in serum and ascites of ovarian cancer patients, and increased the risk of tumor progression and recurrence. Hypercoagulability existed in patients with ovarian cancer, and tumor associated depression could increase platelet count in plasma and increase D-dimer level. To sum up, depression can affect the level of micro inflammation in patients with ovarian cancer. In particular, depression can reduce cellular immune responses, affect the progression free survival of ovarian cancer patients, and reduce their overall survival rate.

The elimination of hepatitis C virus(HCV) infection is still a long way to go. Direct-acting antiviral agents (DAAs) can make HCV completely cured by targeting various stages of its replication life cycle and meanwhile standardize and simplify the treatment. However, those relative factors may affect efficacy and safety should be considered by specialties in choosing the suitable regimens. A good thermoelectric material should have a high Seebeck coefficient, a low electrical resistivity, and a low thermal conductivity. For conventional thermoelectric materials, however, increasing the Seebeck coefficient also leads to a simultaneous increase in the electrical resistivity. In this paper, a method of layer-by-layer deposition of MnSi1.7 film with high Seebeck coefficient and low electrical resistivity is developed. After deposition of the first MnSi1.7 sub-layer, the deposition process is interrupted for several minutes, and then continues for another MnSi1.7 sub-layer. Therefore, the MnSi1.7 film contains two sub-layers for one interruption, three sub-layers for two interruptions, and so on. It is found that the n-type MnSi1.7 film with two sub-layers has a higher Seebeck coefficient, −0.451 mV K−1, and a lower electrical resistivity, 19.4 mOhm-cm, at 483 K as compared to that of without deposition interruption, −0.152 mV K−1 and 44.3 mOhm-cm. The p-type MnSi1.7 film with three sub-layers also has a higher Seebeck coefficient, 0.238 mV K−1, and a lower electrical resistivity, 5.5 mOhm-cm, at 733 K in comparison with that of without deposition interruption, 0.212 mV K−1 and 10.4 mOhm-cm.

The land-based pollutants have increased year by year, and the marine pollution problem has become more and more serious. The governance of the marine environment has become a serious problem. This paper investigated the water quality of Xiamen. The results showed that the average concentration of heavy metals was 2.16×10-3 mg/L for copper element, 2.84×10-5 mg/L for lead element, 7.61×10-5 mg/L for cadmium element, 1.97×10-3 mg/L for arsenic element and 3.66×10-3 mg/L for zinc element. The monitoring concentration of mercury element at each monitoring point is lower than 1×10-5mg/L. The main pollutants in the general indicators are active phosphate and inorganic nitrogen. This paper can provide data support for the future management of marine environmental problems in Xiamen Government, and it has positive significance for its future governance.

This paper describes the design of a fully-integrated PLL-based and integer-N quadrature frequency synthesizer (QFS) for Ka, V and E multiband mm-wave applications. A 2-bit switched capacitor array directly controlled by voltage level together with MOS varactor and differential coplanar waveguide (CPW) inductors are used in the quadrature voltage-controlled oscillator (QVCO) to cover the wide frequency tuning range, achieve a good phase noise performance of −105.5dBc/Hz@1MHz offset while realizing a wide tuning range over than 19.26%. Multiband co-tuning (MBCT) technology is proposed to extend the frequency locking range of ILFD. A programmable charge pump is designed to obtain relatively constant bandwidth. The quadrature frequency synthesizer, implemented in IBM 0.13µm CMOS process, can provide over than +0.88dBm output power at 50ohm load from 27.72 to 33.63GHz while drawing 50mA current (not including testing buffers) from 2.5V power supply and 49mA from 1.2V power supply.

To study the impact of anti-HER2 therapy and response of primary tumor on distant disease free survival (DDFS) of the patients with HER2-positive breast cancer.The clinical data of the patients with HER2-positive breast cancer treated with neoadjuvant systemic therapy were analyzed retrospectively.Patients treated with preoperative anti-HER2 therapy and chemotherapy had a significant improved pathological complete response (pCR) rate (48.4%) compared with those treated with preoperative chemotherapy (17.2%) (P=0.000). The median follow-up period was 62(6-160) months. The 5-year DDFS in patients with anti-HER2 therapy and patients without anti-HER2 therapy was 93.5% and 83.3% respectively (P=0.006). The 5-year DDFS in patients achieving a pCR and patients not achieving a pCR was 94.7% and 82.6% respectively(P=0.001). Among patients achieving a pCR, anti-HER2 therapy did not improve DDFS significantly (P=0.960). Benefits of anti-HER2 therapy in DDFS among patients without a pCR achieved statistical significance (P=0.028).Combination of neoadjuvant anti-HER2 therapy and chemotherapy resulted in a higher pCR rate in HER2-overexpressing primary breast cancer. Patients treated with neoadjuvant systemic therapy who achieved a pCR have excellent outcome regardless of whether they received anti-HER2 therapy.

Cyclooxygenase-2 is a promising target for cancer immunotherapy. Here, we designed the analogues p321-9L and p321-1Y9L (YLIGETIKL) from cyclooxygenase-2-derived native peptide p321. Then, we tested the binding affinity and stability of the analogues and their ability to elicit specific immune response both in vitro (from PBMCs of HLA-A*02⁺ healthy donors) and in vivo (from HLA-A2.1/K(b) transgenic mice). Our results indicated that the activity of cytotoxic T lymphocytes induced by p321-9L and p321-1Y9L was more potent than that of p321. In conclusion, the epitope analogue, especially p321-1Y9L, may be a good candidate which could be used to the immunotherapy of patients with tumours expressing cyclooxygenase-2.

The introduction of an un-doped silicon layer (spacer) enhances significantly the thermoelectric power factor in modulation-doped Si(Al)-MnSi1.7-Si(Al) sandwich structure. This un-doped silicon layer is inserted between the MnSi1.7 (HMS) and Al -doped silicon layers. With a proper spacer thickness, the electrical resistivity decreases sharply and is weakly dependent on temperature from 300 K to 683 K. As a result, the thermoelectric power factor can reach 0.973 × 10-3 W/m-K2 at 683 K, which is about ten times larger than that of an ordinary MnSi1.7 film without modulation doping.

We report the efficient generation of high-power laser radiation at 1053 and 1083 nm wavelength by using of a hybrid master oscillator fiber power amplifier system, consisting of a diode-pumped Yb-doped oxyorthosilicate solid state laser as the master oscillator and an Yb-doped large-mode-area fiber as the power amplifier. Efficient tunable diode-pumped Yb-doped oxyorthosilicate lasers at 1053 and 1083 nm have been constructed, which was scaled up to a maximum output power of 34.5 W at 1053 nm and 30.2 W at 1083 nm by a fiber power amplifier, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 93.9 and 87.8%, respectively.

N-type polycrystalline higher manganese silicide ( MnSi 1.7) films are prepared on thermally oxidized silicon substrates by magnetron sputtering. MnSi 1.85, Si , and carbon targets are used in the experiments. By co-sputtering of the MnSi 1.85 and Si targets, n-type MnSi 1.7 films are directly obtained. By increasing the Si content to the deposited films, both the Seebeck coefficient and electrical resistivity increase to high values. A Si intermediate layer between the MnSi 1.7 film and substrate plays an important role on the electrical properties of the films. Without the interlayer, the Seebeck coefficient is not stable and the electrical resistivity is higher. For preparation of MnSi 1.7 films by solid phase reaction, a sandwich structure Si / MnSi x/ Si (x < 1.7) and thermal annealing are used. A carbon cap layer is used as a doping source. With the carbon doping, the electrical resistivity of the MnSi 1.7 film decreases, while the Seebeck coefficient increases slightly. For reactive deposition, the MnSi x (x < 1.7) film is directly deposited on the heated substrate with a Si intermediate layer. By using a Si cap layer, a MnSi 1.7 film with a Seebeck coefficient of -292 μ V/K and electrical resistivity of 23 × 10-3 Ω- cm at room temperature is obtained. The power factor reaches 1636 μW/mK2 at 483 K. With such a high power factor, the n-type MnSi 1.7 material may be superior to p-type MnSi 1.7 material for the development of thermoelectric generators. Several smaller (0.036 - 0.099 eV ) and intermediate (0.10 - 0.28 eV ) activation energies are observed from the curves of logarithm of the resistivity versus reciprocal temperature. The larger activation energies (0.35 - 1.1 eV ) are consistent with the reported energy band gaps for higher manganese silicides.

We theoretically show that stable (1 + 1)-dimensional dipole solitons can be supported by strong non-local non-linear media. Such solitons can evolve from stable swinging motion by virtue of the strong non-local potential. Interesting properties of various collisions between dipole solitons are revealed. The collision between dipole solitons periodically occurs and leads to revivable fission of solitons. The collision of multipole solitons is also investigated.

The impact of the East Asia monsoon on the seasonal behavior of O3 in the boundary layer of Eastern China and the west Pacific region was analyzed for 2004–2006 by means of full-year nested chemical transport model simulations and continuous observational data obtained from three inland mountain sites in central and eastern China and three oceanic sites in the west Pacific region. The basic common features of O3 seasonal behaviors over all the monitoring sites are the pre- and post-monsoon peaks with a summer trough. Such bimodal seasonal patterns of O3 are predominant over the region with strong summer monsoon penetration, and become weaker or even disappear outside the monsoon region. The seasonal/geographical distribution of the pre-defined monsoon index indicated that the East Asia summer monsoon is responsible for the bimodal seasonal O3 pattern, and also partly account for the differences in the O3 seasonal variations between the inland mountain and oceanic sites. Over the inland mountain sites, the O3 concentration increased gradually from the beginning of the year, reached a maximum in June, decreased rapidly to the summer valley in July or August, and then peaked in September or October, thereafter decreased gradually again. Over the oceanic sites, O3 abundance showed a similar increasing trend beginning in January, but then decreased gradually from the end of March, followed by a wide trough with the minimum in July and August and a small peak in October or November. A sensitivity analysis performed by setting China-emission to zero revealed that the chemically produced O3 from China-emission contributed substantially to the O3 abundance, particularly the pre- and post-monsoon O3 peaks, over China mainland. We found that China-emission contributed more than 40% to total boundary layer O3 during summertime (60–70% in July) and accounted for about 40 ppb of each peak value over the inland region if without considering the effect of the nonlinear chemical productions. In contrast, over the oceanic region in the high monsoon index zone, the contribution of China-emission to total boundary layer O3 was always less than 20% (

We report on the existence of surface defect linear modes at an interface between the defect of one-dimensional photonic lattices and the uniform media. The interface defect can significantly affect the properties of linear modes. Such new type of modes exists in the first bandgap for positive defects; while they exist in the second bandgap for negative defects. Particularly, when a Gaussian beam, which is similar to the linear mode, is launched at the defect site, we find that the Gaussian beam can be strongly confined at defect site and robustness along longitudinal direction for a long distance. When launched at a small angle into the defect site, the Gaussian beam exhibits stable snake propagation.

Polycrystalline higher manganese silicide ( MnSi 1.7, HMS) films with addition of aluminum and carbon are prepared on thermally-oxidized silicon substrates by electron beam evaporation and magnetron sputtering, respectively. An aluminum intermediate layer and a carbon cap layer are used as the doping sources. It is found that both the Seebeck coefficient and electrical resistivity are dependent on the amount of aluminum and carbon added to the films. The Seebeck coefficient changes a little in the temperature range 300 to 433 K and decreases considerably above 433 K when aluminum is added to the film. When carbon is added to the film, however, the Seebeck coefficient increases slightly. With addition of aluminum and carbon, the resistivity decreases. As a result, the thermoelectric power factor increases, especially for films with carbon addition. Several activation energies (0.022–0.20 eV) are observed from the curves of logarithm of resistivity versus reciprocal temperature. The larger activation energies of 0.35 and 0.51 eV are consistent with the energy band gaps for higher manganese silicides.
