YÖK Tez No: 668901 Dünyada mücadele edilmeye çalışılan temel konuların başında istihdam ve yoksulluk gelmektedir. Yoksulluktan kurtulmak, insanların özellikle de kadınların işgücüne katılmaları ve kendilerine gelir getirici işler yapmaları ile mümkün olabilecektir. Bu sorunun çözümüne ilişkin çok sayıda politika üretilmektedir. Bu bağlamda kadın istihdamını arttırarak, kadın yoksulluğunu azaltmak amacıyla 1970'li yıllarda Bangladeş'te ekonomi Profesörü Muhammet Yunus tarafından başlatılan mikro kredi uygulaması karşımıza çıkmaktadır.Çeşitli mikro kredi sistemi bulunmakla beraber bu kapsamda değerlendirilen uygulama Grameen mikro kredi sistemidir. Bu çalışma kendi işini kurmak veya mevcut işlerini geliştirmek için gerekli olan finansal desteğin nasıl, nereden, ne şekilde sağlandığı konusunda bilgi sunmaktadır. Çalışmada gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan pek çok ülkede uygulanmakta olan mikro kredi uygulamalarının Karaman ilindeki uygulaması incelenmiştir. Çalışmada istihdam olgusu, mikro finans aracı olan mikro kredi çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada düşük gelirli kadınların mikro kredi kullanarak gelir düzeylerinde ne gibi değişimler meydana geldiği, istihdam düzeylerinin etkilenip etkilenmediği kısacası sosyo-ekonomik yapıları arasında anlamlı bir ilişkinin olup olmadığı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Karaman ilinde mikro kredi şubesinden kredi kullanan 172 kadına anket uygulanarak veriler oluşturulmuştur. Yapılan analiz sonucunda mikro kredi sisteminin Karaman ilindeki uygulamasında istihdam yaratma açısından etkinliğinin sınırlı kalmış olduğu, genel manada dünya uygulamalarındakinin aksine gelir düzeyi düşük kadınlara istihdam sağlamaktan çok mevcut işi olan kadınların bu işlerini geliştirmelerine imkan sağlamış olduğu görülmüştür. Employment and poverty are the main issues that are tried to be trackled in the world. Getting rid of poverty can only be possible with the participation of people, especially women, in the workforce and getting jobs that generate income for them. In this context, microcredit application is apparent. It was developed by economics professor Muhammet Yunus in Bangladesh in the beginning of 1970s to decrease women poverty by increasing women employment. Although there are varied microcredit systems, the application evaluated within this context is Grameen micro credit system. The study provides information about how and from where to get a financial support to start a business or to develop current business. In the study, the application of microcredit applications in many developed and developing countries in the province of Karaman was indicated. The phenomenon of employment is discussed within the framework of microcredit which is microfinance tool. It is tried to reveal what kind of changes occur in income levels of low income women and whether their employment levels are affected after using microcredits. In short, it is tried to find a meaningful change in their socio-economic structures by using microcredits. The data are created by applying a survey on 172 women who get microcredit in the province of Karaman. According to results of the analysis, efficiency of application of the microcredit system in the province of Karaman is limited. Unlike the world practice, it has been observed that microcredits enabled women to develop their current job rather than to create employment for women with low income.
