Yılmaz, Arın (Balikesir Author), Bor içeren atık suların beton veya portland çimentosu harcı üretiminde kullanılması, ekonomik, teknik ve çevresel açıdan önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, farklı bor içeriğine sahip atık sular ile şebeke suyu kullanılarak üretilen çimento harçlarının mekanik ve dayanıklılık özellikleri incelenmiştir. Portland çimentosu harç numuneleri 40×40×160 mm boyutlarında prizmatik ve 50 mm boyutlarında küp kalıplara dökülmüştür. Atık su içerisindeki bor miktarının, 28 günlük basınç dayanımı ve eğilmede çekme dayanımı, 300?C, 600?C ve 900?C sıcaklıkğa maruz bırakılan harçların dayanım kaybı ve donma çözülme dayanıklılığı üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bor içeren atık sular, Portland çimentosu harcının mekanik ve dayanıklılık özelliklerini geliştirmiştir. Sonuç olarak, bor içeren atık suların harç üretiminde kullanımı doğal çevrenin korunması ve teknik açıdan malzeme kalitesinin artırılması için uygun olacaktır, The utilization of boron containing wastewater in production of concrete or Portland cement mortar provide economical, technical and environmental benefits. This paper presents a study of the mechanical and durability properties of Portland cement mortars mixed using tap water and wastewater having different boron concentrations. Portland cement mortar test specimens were cast in 40×40×160 mm prismatic moulds and 50 mm cube moulds. The effect of boron concentration on the following properties were studied; compressive and flexural strength at ages up to 28 days, compressive strength lost after being subjected to 300?C, 600?C and 900?C curing temperatures and freezing-thawing durability. Boron containing wastewater was improved the mechanical and durability properties of Portland cement mortar. Finally, utilization of boron containing wastewater in production of cement mortar could be suitable for protection of environment and increasing technical quality of construction materials

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the possibility of using granulated pumice as an alternative to fine aggregate in production of lightweight cement mortar. The cement/pumice fine aggregate ratio is 1:3 for pumice aggregate mortar. The water content is determined by flow table test. Compressive and flexural strength, freeze-thaw resistance, sulfate resistance, water absorption and dry unit weight of the mortars are determined. Mortar using 100% pumice as fine aggregate developed strength in excess 12 MPa and had an oven dry density of 1140-1146 kg/m(3) would satisfy the requirements for lightweight mortar and it can be used as in cast in place walls, load bearing and non-load bearing structures. Pumice aggregate mortar is about 50% lighter than Portland cement control mortar due to the replacement of comparatively heavier standard sand by lighter pumice aggregate. The pumice aggregate mortar exhibits a higher frost resistance due to the existence of voids in pumice aggregate. Pumice aggregate mortar showed better performance showing higher residual strength at high temperatures compared Portland cement mortar. The residual compressive strength reduction of pumice aggregate mortar is higher than that of Portland cement mortar exposed to freeze-thaw cycles. The use of pumice aggregate as sand provides the resistance to sulfate attack.

According to the concept, concrete samples having same maturity level would have approximately same strength values whatever combination of temperature and time to reach the maturity level. Many maturity functions have been proposed in the past 50 years. The validity of these functions are only for the ordinary Portland cements. In this study, the effects of different type of Portland-pozzolan cements on the traditional maturity functions were investigated; and new maturity-strength relationships were tried to be established.

Doğal puzolan, kalker ve 2 tip uçucu kül olmak üzere 4 farklı puzolan ve normal Portland çimentosu farklı tip çimentoların üretimi için seçilmiştir. Portland-puzolan çimentoları %5, %20 ve %40 oranlarında puzolanın ağırlıkça yer değiştirmesiyle oluşturulmuştur. Çimento kalitesinin kontrolü için, çeşitli mekanik ve fiziksel deneyler TS 24'e göre yapılmıştır. 5, 20 ve 40°C'de kürlenen harçların basınç dayanımı deneyleri 2., 7., 14., 28. ve 90. günlerde uygulanmıştır. Test sonuçları, geleneksel olgunluk fonksiyonlarının Portland-puzolan çimentolar için uygulanabilir olmadığını göstermiştir. Bundan başka, geleneksel olgunluk fonksiyonlarına göre, önerilen model deney sonuçları ile daha iyi uygunluk göstermiştir. In this study, the effects of different type of Portland-pozzolan cements on the traditional maturity functions were investigated; and new maturity- strength relationships were tried to be established. To this end, four different pozzolans; a natural pozzolan, a limestone, two types of fly ashes and an ordinary Portland cement were selected to produce different types of cements. Portland-pozzolan cements were prepared by using three different replacement levels; 5, 20 and 40% by weight. Various mechanical and physical tests were carried out to control the quality of the cement according to TS 24. Mortar specimens were prepared and maintained at 5, 20 and 40°C curing temperatures. Compressive strength tests were applied at the 2nd, 7th, 14th, 28th and 90th days. Test results revealed that traditional maturity functions were not applicable to the Portland-pozzolan cements. Moreover, the proposed model showed better agreement with the test results than the traditional maturity functions. Limitations of the study and future research suggestions are also provided.

Geçmiş 50 yıl içinde birçok olgunluk fonksiyonu önerilmiştir. Bu fonksiyonların geçerliliği yalnızca genel Portland çimentoları içindir. Bu çalışmada, kabul görmüş olgunluk fonksiyonlarının puzolan katkılı çimentolar için uygunluğu araştırılmış ve yeni bir olgunluk-dayanım ilişkisi geliştirilmiştir. Bu amaçla, dört tip puzolan ve bir adet Portland çimentosu seçilmiştir. Puzolanlar, bazı özelliklerini geliştirmek ve üretilen çimentonun maliyetini düşürmek için kullanılmıştır. Birçok araştırmacı doğal veya yapay puzolanlar ile üretilen puzolanik çimentoları araştırmıştır. Günümüzde puzolan içeren çimentolar üzerinde yapılan birçok araştırmada puzolan tipinin, miktarının ve inceliğin etkisi incelenirken, bu çalışmada klinker komposizyonunun puzolanik çimento üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. While the most recent investigations on pozzolan containing cements study the effect of pozzolan type, replacement amount and fineness, this study was investigated the effect of clinker composition on the properties of pozzolanic cement. It was aimed to determine the effect of clinker composition on various properties of portland-pozzolan cements. For this purpose, having different chemical compositions five clinker and one natural pozzolan were selected. After ground separately having three Blaine fineness value; such as 3000, 3500, 4000 cm2/g, portlandpozzolan cements were prepared by using three different replacement amount; 20, 30, and 40%, by weight. Balıkesir Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, İnşaat Mühendisliği Ana Bilim Dalı, Bu çalışmada, kürleme sistemlerinin etkisiyle, bazalt ve polivinil alkol lif katkılı, metakaolin ve kolemanit bağlayıcı malzemeler kullanılarak hazırlanan geopolimer kompozitlerin mekanik ve dayanıklılık özellikleri incelenmiştir. Hazırlanan 7 seri için ıslanma-kuruma ve ısı kürü olmak üzere iki farklı kür koşulu uygulanmıştır. Geopolimer numunelerin mekanik özellikleri olarak 7 ve 28 günlük dayanım ve ultrases geçiş hızı, su emme, birim ağırlık, gözeneklilik sonuçları araştırılmıştır. Aşınma testi uygulandıktan sonra ağırlık kaybı ve boy değişimi incelenirken ve 200, 400 ve 600C lik yüksek sıcaklık testleri uygulandıktan sonra dayanım, ultrases geçiş hızı ve ağırlık kaybı sonuçları bulunmuştur. Sonuçlar yüksek sıcaklık testleri sonrasında kalan dayanım (residual strength) değerlerinin yüksek olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Yapılan SEM, FTIR ve TGA-DTA analizleri sonucunda yüksek sıcaklık sonrası geopolimer numunelerin stabil yapısını koruduğu gözlenmiştir. Islanma-kuruma kürü uygulandığında FTIR sonuçlarında Si – O – Al bağlarının daha yüksek oranda oluştuğu görülmüştür. Bu durum geopolimerizasyonun daha yüksek oranda gerçekleştiğini ve dayanım değerlerinin yükseldiğini göstermiştir. TGA-DTA sonuçlarına göre de benzer davranışlar görülmüş ve sıcaklıkla beraber ağırlık kaybının ıslanma-kuruma uygulanan numunlerde daha düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca bazalt ve polivinil alkol lif oranındaki artışın dayanım sonuçları üzerinde olumlu bir etkisi olduğu görülmüştür. Bu durumun ana nedeninin bazalt ve polivinil alkol liflerinin etkisiyle dayanıklı bir tabaka oluştuğu düşünülmektedir. Geopolimerik matrisin kompakt yapısı iyi bir yapışma derecesi sağlamaktadır. Bu, geopolimer numunelerinin donma-çözülmeye karşı direnç göstermesini sağlamıştır. Geopolimer numunelerinde, 90 çevrime rağmen, kalan dayanımın yüksek olduğu ve ultrases geçiş hızı sonuçlarındaki düşüşün sınırlı olduğu görülmüştür., In this study, mechanical and durability properties of geopolymer composites prepared using metakaolin and colemanite binding materials with basalt and polyvinyl alcohol fibers were investigated under the influence of curing systems. For the 7 series prepared, two different curing conditions have been applied: wetting-drying and heat curing. The mechanical properties of geopolymer samples were investigated for 7 and 28 days strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity results, water absorption, unit weight and porosity. After the abrasion test, weight loss and length change were examined and after the high temperature tests of 200, 400 and 600C, the results of strength, ultrasonic pulse velocity and weight loss were found. The results showed that the residual strength values were high after high temperature tests. As a result of SEM, FTIR and TGA-DTA analyzes, it was observed that high temperature post-geopolymer samples retained their stable structure. When the wetting-drying curing was applied, it was observed that the Si-O-Al bonds were higher in the FTIR results. This showed a higher rate of geopolymerization and increased strength values. Similar behaviors were observed according to TGA-DTA results, and weight loss with temperature was found to be lower in samples applied to wetting-drying curing. Also, there was a positive effect on the strength results with the increase in basalt and polyvinyl alcohol fibers ratio. It is consider that the main reason for this situation is the formation of a resistant layer with the effect of basalt and polyvinyl alcohol fibers. The compact structure of the geopolymeric matrix brings along a good degree of adhesion. This allows geopolymer samples to resist freezing-thawing. Düşük maliyetli ve yerel kaynaklarımızdan biri olan perlitin çimentoda kullanılmasına yönelik bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Balıkesir Limak Çimento Fabrikası’ndan alınan CEM I 42,5 R tipi Portland çimentosu ve puzolan olarak Uzay Perlit Madencilik Kim. Mad. San. Ve Tic. Ltd. Şti.’den temin edilen ham perlit ve genleştirilmiş perlit kullanılmıştır. Portland çimentosu ağırlıkça %5, %10, %20 ve %30 oranlarında ham perlit ve genleştirilmiş perlitle yer değiştirilmiş ve perlit ikameli çimentolar hazırlanmıştır. Bu deneysel çalışmada, 4 çeşit ham perlit ikameli çimento, 4 çeşit genleştirilmiş perlit ikameli ve Portland çimentosu olmak üzere toplam 9 çeşit çimento kullanılmıştır. Hazırlanan çimentoların, kimyasal analizleri, fiziksel ve mekanik deneyleri yapılmıştır. Çimento harçlarının 2, 7, 28 ve 90 günlük eğilmede çekme ve basınç dayanımlarına, ayrıca üretilen harçların yüksek sıcaklık değerlerine karşı dayanıklılığı, donma-çözülme etkisi ve rötresine olan etkileri araştırılmıştır. Deney sonuçları incelendiğinde, ham perlit ve genleştirilmiş perlit ikamesinin Portland çimentosuna göre rötreyi olumlu şekilde etkilediğini (yani azalttığını) söylemek mümkündür. CEM I Portland çimentosu ve harç numunelerinin ikameli çimento ve harç numunelerine göre hemen hemen tüm deneylerde daha yüksek performans gösterdiği görülmüştür. Genleştirilmiş perlit ikameli çimentoların tüm deneylerdeki dayanım sonuçları çok düşük olduğu için çimentoda kullanımının uygun olmadığını, buna rağmen %5 ve %10 ham perlit ikamesinin çimentoda kullanılabileceğini söyleyebiliriz., In this study, raw perlite and expanded perlite were used as pozzolanic material. Research has been conducted on the use of perlite, one of our low cost and local resources, in cement. The Portland cement CEM I 42,5 R is, supplied from the Limak Cement Factory in Balıkesir, and raw perlite and expanded perlite used as an additive is supplied from Uzay Perlite Mining Kim. Art. When the test results are examined, it is possible to say that the substitution of the raw perlite and expanded perlite as an additive has a positive effect on shrinkage (i.e. decreases). CEM I Portland cement and mortar samples showed higher performance in almost all experiments than substituted cement and mortar samples. We can say that the strength results of expanded perlite substituted cement are not suitable for use in cement due to the poor performance at all experiments. Deneylerde, kablo atıkları harç karışımları içerisinde %10, %20 ve %30 oranlarında kuvars kumu ile yer değiştirilerek, uçucu kül de çimento ile %10, %20 ve %30 oranlarında yer değiştirilerek kullanılmıştır. İki tip kuvars kumu seçilmiştir. Bunlar, 0-0,8 mm ve 0,8-2 mm boyutlarındadır ve harç karışımında ağırlıkça aynı oranda bulunmaktadır. Harç numuneleri, 1:2:6 oranlarında su, çimento ve kuvars kumunun laboratuvar ortamındaki mikserle karıştırılmasıyla elde edilmiştir. Harç numuneleri, 40x40x160 mm boyutlarında prizmatik ve 50 mm boyutlarında küp şeklinde üretilmiştir. Prizmatik numuneler üzerinde 2, 7, 28, 56 ve 90 günlük basınç dayanımı ve eğilmede çekme dayanımı deneyleri uygulanmıştır. Küp numunelere ise 200 oC ve 400 oC’de yüksek sıcaklık deneyi ve donma-çözülme deneyi uygulanmıştır. Kontrol numunelerinin dayanım değerlerinin, atık kablo ve uçucu kül içeren numunelere göre yüksek çıktığını söylemek mümkündür. Ancak bazı karışımların, kontrol numunelerini yakaladığı görülmektedir. Genel olarak, kablo atığının harç karışımı içerisinde %10 oranında tek başına ve %10-20 oranlarında uçucu kül ile kullanılması, uçucu külün ise %10 ve %20 oranlarında tek başına kullanılması daha iyi sonuçlar vermiştir. Doğal çevrenin korunması açısından bu tür atık malzemelerin harç üretiminde kullanılmasının uygun olacağı söylenebilir., In this study, the possibility of using recycled cable waste and fly ash in cement mortar production was investigated. In the experiments, quartz sand was replaced by cable waste in percentages of 10%, 20% and 30%; cement was replaced by fly ash in percentages of 10%, 20% and 30%. Two types of quartz sand were selected. They are 0-0.8 mm and 0.8-2 mm in size and have the same ratio of weight in the mortar mixture. Mortar samples were produced by mixing water, cement and quartz sand in a ratio of 1: 2: 6 using a laboratory mixer. The mortar specimens were prepared in 40x40x160 mm prism molds and 50 mm cube molds. 2, 7, 28, 56 and 90 days compressive strength and tensile strength tests were applied on prism specimens whereas cube specimens were subjected to high temperature tests at 200 oC and 400 oC and freeze-thaw test. It is possible to conclude that the strength values of the control samples are higher than the samples with waste cable and fly ash. Some mixtures, however, are observed to reach the performance of control samples. In general, the use of 10% cable waste in the mortar mixture alone and 10-20% cable waste together with fly ash, and the use of fly ash in ratios of 10% and 20% alone give better results. Therefore, it can be concluded that it is appropriate to use such waste materials in mortar production in order to protect the natural resources.

Balıkesir Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, İnşaat Mühendisliği Ana Bilim Dalı, Teknolojideki gelişmeler paralelinde hazır beton sektöründe yaşanan ilerlemeler, betonun mekanik dayanımı ve servis ömrü boyunca çevresel etkilere karşı dayanıklılığı açısından yüksek performanslı beton üretimine olanak sağlamaktadır. Betonun bu iki temel özelliği, karışım bileşenleri ve oranları, taze beton performansı ve bakım koşullarından büyük ölçüde etkilenir. Geleneksel beton, taze halde sıkıştırma enerjisi uygulanarak yerleştirilmekte, özellikle şantiyede yaşanan sıkıştırma sorunları betonun sertleşmiş özelliklerinde önemli değişkenliğe sebep olmaktadır. Kendiliğinden Yerleşen Beton (KYB), yeni nesil süperakışkanlaştırıcı kimyasalların ortaya çıkmasıyla beton teknolojisine uyarlanmış özel bir betondur. KYB; tasarım, üretim ve uygulama safhasında geleneksel betona göre farklı yaklaşımları mecbur kılar. İşçilik masraflarını azaltması, üretimi hızlandırması, çalışma koşullarını iyileştirmesi ve görsel estetik gibi pek çok olumlu özellik, KYB kullanımının getirdiği avantajlar arasında sayılabilir. Bu çalışmada, uçucu kül (UK), granüle yüksek fırın cürufu (GYFC) ve silis dumanı (SD) kullanılarak C30/37 ve C80/95 sınıfı KYB'lar hazırlanmıştır. Mineral katkı kullanımının KYB'ların fiziksel ve mekanik özelliklerine etkisi araştırılmıştır., Developments in ready-mixed concrete technology, have lead us to the production of high performance concrete in terms of mechanical strength and durability in service life. These two main properties of concrete depend on many factors, such as materials and proportions, fresh concrete performance and curing conditions. Conventional fresh concrete should be compacted in situ however various vibration problems seriously affect the performance of hardened concrete. Self Compacting Concrete is a special concrete produced by new generation superplasticizers. It differs from conventional concrete in terms of design, production and applications. It reduces labor costs, speeds up the production and provides visual esthetic. In this study, C30/37 and C80/95 grade self compacting concretes were produced with fly ash, ground granulated blastfurnace slag and silica fume. Effect of these mineral admixtures on the physical and mechanical properties has been examined.

Balıkesir Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, İnşaat Mühendisliği Ana Bilim Dalı, Bu çalışmada, 3 farklı B2O3 oranlarına sahip kolemanit konsantratör atığı çimento katkı malzemesi olarak kullanılmıştır. Çimento üretim maliyetlerini düşürmeye yönelik ve bor endüstri atıklarının çevreye verdiği zararı önlemek amacıyla bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Bigadiç Bor İşletme Müdürlüğü konsantratör tesisi atık şlam havuzundan temin edilen, B2O3 oranları % 5.56, % 10.47 ve % 15.89 olan kolemanit konsantratör atıkları ile klinker ve alçıtaşı kullanılarak hazırlanmış kompoze çimento karışımları oluşturulmuştur. Klinker ve alçıtaşına ağırlıkça %1, %3, %5, %10 oranlarında, farklı B2O3 oranlarına sahip bor atıkları ilave edilmiştir. Bu deneysel çalışmada 12 çeşit bor katkılı çimento ve CEM I çimentosu olmak üzere toplam 13 çeşit çimento üretilmiştir. Üretilen çimentoların kimyasal ve fiziksel analizleri yapılmıştır. Çimento harçlarının 2, 7, 28, 56 ve 90 günlük basınç dayanımlarına bakılmış ayrıca çekme dayanımı, yüksek sıcaklık ve donma-çözülme deneyleri de TS EN 196 standartlarına uygun olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen çalışma sonucunda, B2O3 oranlarının farklı olması, genellikle deney sonuçlarında önemli ölçüde farklılıklar ortaya çıkarmamıştır. Sonuçlardaki farklılıklarda, katkı miktarının değişmesi daha çok etkili olmuştur. Bazı çimento numunelerinin ise CEM I çimentosuna kıyasla yüksek performans gösterdikleri görülmüştür., In this study, three colemanite concentrator waste with different B2O3 contents was used as cement additive. This study was carried out to find out the possibilities of reduction of cement production costs and minimizing the impact of boron industry wastes on environment. Colemanite concentrator waste was provided from waste pool of Bigadiç Boron Plant. B2O3 content of these wastes are %5.56, %10.47 and %15.89, respectively. These wastes were mixed with clinker and gypsum and cement mixtures were composed. Boron wastes which has different B2O3 contents were added to clinker and gypsum at %1, %3, %5, %10 weight ratios. In this experimental study, including 12 kinds of boron resulted in a total of 13 types of cement including CEM I cement. Chemical and physical properties of these cements were measured. 2nd, 7th, 28th, 56th, 90th day compressive strength and tensile strength tests were carried out. High temperature, freeze and thaw tests were made according to TS EN 196 standarts. In this study, the change in content made no significant effect on test results. Changing additive ratios has more significant effect. Some B2O3 containing cements have shown higher performance compared to CEM I cement.
