Status epilepticus may have long-term consequences, including neuronal injury. Some patients with status epilepticus have neuroimaging findings, including cytotoxic and vasogenic edema, abnormal signal intensity on T1-weighted, T2-weighted, and the T2 fluid-attenuated inversion recovery images, and perfusion abnormalities. The prognosis of these findings is unclear; they might be associated with de novo epilepsy and poor prognosis. In this report, we describe the clinical, elect roenc ephal ograp hic and the magnetic resonance, and the computerized tomographic perfusion findings in 4 patients with status epilepticus and emphasize the variable characteristic of the imaging findings, the correlation of the clinical and elect roenc ephal ograp hy findings with magnetic resonance image lesions, and the key features to differentiate these lesions from vascular lesions.

Son yıllarda, finansal piyasalarda yatırımcıların risk iştahına yönelik artan bilimsel ilgiye rağmen, risk yönetiminde kilit bir rol oynayan faktörlerin risk iştahı ile ilişkisine dair çalışmaların fazla ilgi gördüğünü söyleyemeyiz. Bu makale, piyasalarda belirsizliği temsil etmek üzere hesaplanan V1XI, V2TX, JNIV, VXN ve VIX korku endekslerinin Türkiye hisse senedi piyasası bağlamında nitelikli yatırımcılar, yabancı yatırımcılar, yerli yatırımcılar, yerli fonlar, yerli gerçek kişiler, yerli tüzel kişiler ve tüm yatırımcıların risk iştahı endeksi (RISE) üzerindeki etkilerini anlamaya katkıda bulunmaktadır. Çalışma, ARDL Sınır Testi, uzun dönem ve kısa dönem regresyon modellerini kullanarak korku endeksleri ile risk iştahı endeksi arasındaki bağlantı hakkında ampirik kanıtlar sağlamaktadır. Makalede Ocak 2008-Nisan 2022 dönemi için aylık veriler kullanılmıştır. Analizlerde elde ettiğimiz sonuçlarda, V2TX endeksinin bütün yatırımcı türlerinin risk iştahı endeksi üzerinde en etkili korku endeksi olduğu görülmüştür. Daha sonra önem sırasına göre, JNIV, VIX ve V1XI endeksleri gelmektedir. Araştırmada, diğer korku endekslerinin regresyon etki katsayıları hiçbir yatırımcı türünde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı sonuçlar vermemiştir. Bu çalışma, Türkiye'deki yatırımcılar için hesaplanan 7 farklı RISE ile birden fazla yurtdışı korku endeksinin ilişkisini ilk kez araştırması bakımından özgündür.

Deleuze, one of the most influential philosophers of the twentieth century, developed a special terminology of his own together with Guattari. The concepts they applied in this terminology have been eye-opening and guiding on many issues. Rhizome, which is borrowed from botanical science, is also one of these concepts. Rhizome, like deterritoriality, nomadic becoming or body without organs, is one of the key concepts of Deleuzean philosophy, in fact, it is the most important one. The rhizome does not grow vertically like a tree, but expands horizontally. Therefore, it has given Deleuze and Guattari a different perspective. In this sense, Rhizome has a content that breaks down the walls in front of its classical, rationalist form and enables a nomadic or deterritorialized view, and this leads the way for a different reception practice in literary criticism. The concept of Rhizomatics, which is covered with this awareness in this article, will be the intellectual key and guide for a new way of approach towards literary criticism.

Bu çalışmada, COVID-19 pandemisinin erken döneminde, Avrupa borsalarında yaşanan dalgalanmanın pandemi ile ilişkisinin kısa dönem için ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, erken dönem COVID-19 pandemisi nedeniyle ortaya çıkan ölüm ve vaka sayılarının Avrupa borsalarındaki volatiliteye etkisi panel veri analizi yöntemiyle sınanmıştır. Çalışma kısa vadede, piyasaların COVID-19’a verdiği tepkinin ölçülerek sonuçlarının paylaşılması ve muhtemel benzer kriz dönemleri için piyasaların daha hazır hale gelmesine katkı yapması bakımından önemlidir. Analize, çalışmanın yapıldığı dönem için vaka ve ölüm sayılarının nüfusa göre en yüksek olduğu 15 Avrupa ülkesi (İngiltere, Almanya, İsviçre, İsveç, İtalya, İrlanda, Belçika, Norveç, Avusturya, Danimarka, Hollanda, Fransa, İspanya, İzlanda, Portekiz) ile birlikte Türkiye’de dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmada pandeminin ülkelerin borsa endekslerindeki (DAX, ATX, BEL20, FTSE100, OMXC20, AEX, CAC40, FTSE MIB, IBEX35, ISEQ, SMI, OMXIPI, BIST100) volatiliteye etkisi araştırılırken, 17.02.2020 - 24.04.2020 dönemine ait günlük veriler kullanılmıştır. Değişken olarak vaka artış hızı, ölüm artış hızı ve volatilite kullanılmış olup iki model tahmin edilmiştir. Analiz için Stata 11 ve EViews 5.1 ekonometrik analiz programlarından yararlanılmış olup, model seçimi ve doğrulama testleri (değişen varyans ve otokorelasyon) için kodlar kullanılmıştır. Panel Birim Kök Testi, Breush- Pagan Lagrange Multiplier (LM) Testi, Hausman İçsellik Testi ve İki Yönlü Rassal Etkiler Model tahmininin yapıldığı bu çalışmadaki beklenti, vaka ve ölüm sayılarındaki artışların borsa oynaklığını negatif yönde etkileyeceği şeklindedir. Panel veri analizinin, iki yönlü rassal etki modeli ile tahmin edildiği çalışmada, her iki modelde elde edilen sonuçların pozitif ve istatistiki olarak anlamlı oldukları görülmektedir. Yani volatilite, vaka artış hızı %1 arttığında %0,01 artarken, ölüm artış hızı %1 arttığında %0,04 oranında artmaktadır.

Şehir lojistiği için şehrin altyapısı ve planlaması, bisiklet yollarının varlığı ve kalitesi, toplu taşıma araçları ve yaya trafiği ile ilgili düzenlemeler önem arz etmektedir. Bu düzenlemeler kent sakinlerinin yaşamış oldukları şehirden memnun olma düzeylerini de etkilemektedir. Bu nedenle, bu çalışmada öncelikli olarak şehir lojistiği ile ilgili kent sakinlerinin mevcut durum algıları ile önem düzeylerinin karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla Türkiye’de 1708 kişiden anket ile veri toplanmıştır. Katılımcılardan yaşamış oldukları şehrin şehir lojistiği durumunu değerlendirmeleri ve bu durum ile ilgili kendileri için önem düzeylerini belirtmeleri istenmiştir. Yapılan analiz neticesinde mevcut durum ve önem düzeyi arasında en yüksek farkın altyapı boyutu için yol zemininin düzgün olması, şehir planlaması boyutu için trafik yoğunluğunun uygun olması, bisiklet yolu boyutu için bisikletle ulaşım için uygun yolların varlığı, toplu taşıma boyutu için toplu taşıma araçlarının bakımlı ve temiz olması ve yaya trafiği boyutu için ise trafikte yaya önceliğine dikkat edilmesi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada ayrıca şehir lojistiği boyutlarının kent yaşam memnuniyeti üzerindeki etkisi yapısal eşitlik modeli ile analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analiz neticesinde yaya trafiği, altyapı ve toplu taşıma boyutlarının kent yaşam memnuniyetini anlamlı olarak etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Şehir planlaması ve bisiklet yolu boyutları ise kent yaşam memnuniyetini anlamlı olarak etkilememiştir.

Günümüzde rekabet edebilirlik için tedarikçilerle entegrasyon son derece önemlidir. Firmaların tedarikçileri ile entegre olabilmeleri için ise tedarik zincirinde bilgi teknolojilerinin kullanımına önem vermeleri ve bilgiyi yönetmeleri gerekmektedir. Bu amaçla bu çalışmanın sorunsalı tedarik zinciri bilgi yönetiminin tedarik zinciri performansı üzerindeki etkisinde tedarikçi entegrasyonunun aracılık rolünü araştırmaktır. Bu amaçla ihracatçı ilk 1000 firma içerisinden seçilen 96 firmadan anket ile veri toplanmıştır. Araştırmada öncelikle ölçeklerin yapı geçerliği ve güvenilirliği test edilmiştir. Bu amaçla keşfedici ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizleri ile güvenilirlik analizi yapılmıştır. Veriler yapısal eşitlik modeli ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz neticesinde tedarik zinciri bilgi sistem altyapısının tedarik zinciri bilgi teknolojileri kullanımını anlamlı olarak etkilediği ve bilgi teknolojileri kullanımının da tedarik zinciri bilgi yönetimini anlamlı olarak etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca tedarik zinciri bilgi yönetiminin ve tedarikçi entegrasyonunun tedarik zinciri performansını anlamlı olarak etkilediği bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Yapılan aracılık testi sonucunda tedarik zinciri bilgi yönetiminin tedarik zinciri performansı üzerindeki etkisinde tedarikçi entegrasyonunun aracılık rolü bulunduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır.

Background: Human–robot collaboration is essential for efficient manufacturing and logistics as robots are increasingly used. Using industrial robots as part of an automation system results in many competitive benefits, including improved quality, efficiency, productivity, and reduced waste and errors. When robots are used in production, human coworkers’ psychological factors can disrupt operations. This study aims to examine the effect of employees’ negative attitudes toward robots on their acceptance of robot technology in manufacturing workplaces. Methods: A survey was conducted with employees in manufacturing companies to collect data on their attitudes towards robots and their willingness to work with them. Data was collected from 499 factory workers in Istanbul using a convenience sampling method, which allowed for the measurement of variables and the analysis of their effects on each other. To analyze the data, structural equation modeling was used. Results: The results indicate that negative attitudes towards robots have a significant negative effect on the acceptance of robot technology in manufacturing workplaces. However, trust in robots was found to be a positive predictor of acceptance. Conclusions: These findings have important implications for manufacturing companies seeking to integrate robot technology into their operations. Addressing employees’ negative attitudes towards robots and building trust in robot technology can increase the acceptance of robots in manufacturing workplaces, leading to improved efficiency and productivity.

Only recently, smart cities are taking shape, thanks to the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, and other similar technologies. Given the high demands placed on advanced technologies such as autonomous driving, cloud data services, and high-precision sensors, smart cities are creating an intelligent transportation environment conducive to the introduction of autonomous vehicles (AVs). In this context, the use of AVs in transportation is also considered a form of transportation innovation. As a result, AVs are considered more favorable to people interested in new technologies because they appear to be technologically superior. Their association with the most up-to-date technology can serve as a symbol for those who wish to demonstrate their interest in new technologies through their appearance. The positive image of technological innovation projected by AVs may influence their acceptance among technology enthusiasts to a significant degree. In this context, this study investigates the effects of perceived advantage, perceived risk, and perceived safety on the intention to use autonomous vehicles. For this purpose, data were collected from vehicle users living in Turkey by survey method. Secondly, factor analyses and regression analyses were performed with the data set obtained from 611 participants. As a result of the analyses, it has been determined that the perceived advantage and perceived security increase the intention to use autonomous vehicles. In contrast, the perceived risk reduces this intention to use. According to these results, recommendations were made to the companies about the level of acceptance of this technology by the users to assess their investments in autonomous vehicles better.

Market conditions have become increasingly dynamic and demanding, resulting in a challenging competitive environment. To adapt to this dynamic environment, supply chains have become increasingly reliant on collaboration, integration, flexibility, and trust between stakeholders. Therefore, the importance of new technological applications in supply chains has grown even more. To improve supply chain flow control, modern specialized applications must be implemented. Blockchain technology has established itself as a necessary component of today’s competitive environment. Companies should invest in blockchain technology to respond quickly to changing market conditions and demands in today’s dynamic business environment. In this regard, this study investigates the effect of blockchain technology utilization on supply chain transparency, supply chain flexibility, and trust in suppliers. For this purpose, first, data were collected from the first 1000 exporting firms declared in 2019 by the Turkey Exporters Assembly using a survey method. Secondly, factor analyses and regression analyses were performed with the dataset obtained from 84 companies. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that blockchain technology utilization increases transparency, flexibility, and trust in supply chains. According to these results, it is suggested that companies should invest in blockchain technology to make their supply chain more transparent, flexible, and secure. Moreover, blockchain plays a crucial role in building mutual trust with supply chain stakeholders. Finally, the research includes some considerations on the positive implications and potential of blockchain in collaboration and integration.

People have become more conscientious about the environment in recent years. Increasing environmental awareness drives customers to be more selective about environmentally friendly products and forces governments to adopt environmentally friendly policies. As a result, competition in the market becomes more challenging. Thus, companies cannot remain indifferent to adopting environmentally friendly strategies to be sustainable. In this regard, this study investigates the effect of green innovation on firm performance. We also examined whether the environmental uncertainty moderates the investigated effect. For this purpose, first, data were collected from the first 1000 exporting firms declared in 2019 by the Turkey Exporters Assembly using a survey method. Secondly, factor analyses and regression analyses were performed with the data set obtained from 136 companies. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that green innovation increases both environmental performance and economic performance. It also was found that green innovation positively affects firm performance, but environmental uncertainty reduces this effect. According to these results, it was offered that firms should increase their green innovation activities to achieve better outputs and seek ways to reduce environmental uncertainty to keep these outputs at the maximum level. Finally, the research includes some considerations on the positive implications and potential of green innovation in an open-innovation context.

E-commerce has become increasingly popular, making the effective management of timely and accurate deliveries critical to maintaining customer satisfaction. Autonomous delivery vehicles (ADVs) are recent innovations essential to the distribution sector. However, their popularity depends on how open consumers are to innovations. Therefore, this study addressed whether consumers' innovativeness affected their perceived usefulness and risks associated with ADVs. The study also investigated whether consumers who were more open to innovations were more willing to use ADVs. The sample consisted of 184 participants from different cities of Türkiye and data were collected using several analyses. The results showed that participants who believed in the usefulness of ADVs were more likely to use them whereas participants who focused more on the risks were less likely. Innovativeness did not affect how participants perceived the risks of ADVs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
