Background Lumbar disc herniation is one of the most common causes of low back pain, and the number of cases has been increasing year by year in recent years. High-quality guidelines can standardize clinical diagnosis and treatment behaviors and improve medical quality, and screening and formulating high-quality guidelines are of great significance for standardizing the clinical practice of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation. Objective To systematically evaluate the methodological quality of clinical practice guidelines and expert consensus for lumbar intervertebral disc herniation, and to analyze the high-quality guidelines and consensus recommendations, in order to provide reference for the prevention and treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation. Methods Clinical practice guidelines and expert consensus on lumbar intervertebral disc herniation were searched from the establishment of each database to October 31, 2023. At the same time, Dangdang.com and others were manually searched to obtain the guidelines for lumbar intervertebral disc herniation published in the form of monographs. After the consistency evaluation was passed by two researchers, the methodological quality of the included guidelines and consensus was evaluated using the AGREE Ⅱ tool, and the high-quality guidelines and consensus recommendations were analyzed. Results A total of 15 guidelines and consensus were included, and the final recommendation level of 9 guidelines was B (can be recommended after modification), and 6 guidelines and consensus were C (not recommended for the time being). Recommendations mainly include bed rest, medication, surgical treatment, etc. Conclusion The methodological quality of the clinical practice guidelines and expert consensus for lumbar intervertebral disc herniation needs to be further improved, and some treatment methods are controversial, and the recommendations of the guidelines need to be further improved and unified to optimize clinical practice.

Background Establishing the advantageous diseases in the field of traditional Chinese orthopedics treated with manual therapy will promote the development of manual techniques and dominant discipline. However, the current evaluation and selection lack a quantitative evaluation process based on evidence-based medicine. Objective To systematically review systematic reviews of diseases in the field of traditional Chinese orthopedics treated with manual therapy using evidence mapping methodology and explore the advantageous diseases in this field. Methods Computerized searches were conducted in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, SinoMed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data, and VIP database to collect systematic reviews of diseases in the field of traditional Chinese orthopedics treated with manual therapy from inception to March 5, 2023. The evidence distribution characteristics were presented using a combination of charts and text. Results A total of 126 systematic reviews published from 2003 to 2023 were included, showing an overall increasing trend in the quantity of relevant studies both domestically and internationally. Methodological quality assessment results indicated that 13 reviews were of moderate quality, 64 were of low quality, and 49 were of very low quality. The evidence map showed that the research evidence in the field of traditional Chinese orthopedics treated with manual therapy mainly focused on 18 clinical diseases, including cervical spondylosis, low back pain, knee osteoarthritis, lumbar disc herniation, ankle sprain, adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder, cervicogenic headache, atlantoaxial subluxation, distal radius fracture, lateral epicondylitis of the humerus, carpal tunnel syndrome, lumbar sprain, scoliosis, hip osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia syndrome, myofascial pain syndrome, rotator cuff injury, and supracondylar fracture of the humerus, demonstrating beneficial or potentially beneficial effects. Conclusion Manual therapy is widely used in the clinical practice of traditional Chinese orthopedics. However, due to methodological shortcomings and a lack of research evidence on safety and cost-effectiveness, future efforts should focus on multi-level inter-agency cooperation to establish sound evaluation standards and systems, improve research quality, update research evidence, and further explore the advantages of manual therapy in the field of traditional Chinese orthopedics.

Abstract Recent research has explored the potential of the demethylating drug 5-azacytidine (Aza) as therapy for a range of diseases. However, the therapeutic efficacy of Aza for patients of atherosclerosis remains unclear. This study investigates the therapeutic application of Aza to atherosclerosis in order to elucidate the underlying mechanisms. We generated induced Tregs (iTregs) from CD4+ T cells by using Aza in vitro, and this was followed by the intravenous infusion of iTregs for the treatment of atherosclerosis. The adoptive transfer of Aza-iTreg significantly increased peripheral blood Treg cells, suppressed inflammation, and attenuated atherosclerosis in ApoE−/− mice. Furthermore, we observed a notable demethylation of the Forkhead box P3 (Foxp3)-regulatory T cell-specific demethylated region (TSDR) and an upregulation of Foxp3 expression in the CD4+ T cells in the spleen of the ApoE−/− mice following the transfer of Aza- iTregs. We also demonstrated that Aza converted naive CD4+ T cells into Tregs by DNA methyltransferase 1 (Dnmt1)-mediated Foxp3-TSDR demethylation and the upregulation of Foxp3 expression. Conversely, the overexpression of Dnmt1 in the CD4+ T cells attenuated the Aza-induced Foxp3-TSDR demethylation and upregulation of Foxp3 expression. Our results reveal that Aza converts naive CD4+ T cells into functional Tregs by inhibiting Dnmt1, and the transfer of Aza-iTregs suppresses atherosclerosis in mice.

Abstract Purpose One of the most frequent side effects of radical prostatectomy (RP) is urinary incontinence. The primary cause of urine incontinence is usually thought to be impaired urethral sphincter function; nevertheless, the pathophysiology and recovery process of urine incontinence remains unclear. This study aimed to identify potential risk variables, build a risk prediction tool that considers preoperative urodynamic findings, and direct doctors to take necessary action to reduce the likelihood of developing early urinary incontinence. Methods We retrospectively screened patients who underwent radical prostatectomy between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2023 at the First People ‘s Hospital of Nantong, China. According to nomogram results, patients who developed incontinence within three months were classified as having early incontinence. The training group’s general characteristics were first screened using univariate logistic analysis, and the LASSO method was applied for the best prediction. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was carried out to determine independent risk factors for early postoperative urine incontinence in the training group and to create nomograms that predict the likelihood of developing early urinary incontinence. The model was internally validated by computing the performance of the validation cohort. The nomogram discrimination, correction, and clinical usefulness were assessed using the c-index, receiver operating characteristic curve, correction plot, and clinical decision curve. Results The study involved 142 patients in all. Multivariate logistic regression analysis following RP found seven independent risk variables for early urinary incontinence. A nomogram was constructed based on these independent risk factors. The training and validation groups’ c-indices showed that the model had high accuracy and stability. The calibration curve demonstrates that the corrective effect of the training and verification groups is perfect, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve indicates great identification capacity. Using a nomogram, the clinical net benefit was maximised within a probability threshold of 0.01–1, according to decision curve analysis (DCA). Conclusion The nomogram model created in this study can offer a clear, personalised analysis of the risk of early urine incontinence following RP. It is highly discriminatory and accurate, and it can help create efficient preventative measures and identify high-risk populations.

Highlights The stable periodic porous shielding materials were prepared by combining the strategies of 3D printing and metamaterial design. The relationship between porous material structure and electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency (EMI SE) effectiveness was deeply explored, revealing the important structural parameters for realizing tunable EMI SE property. The optimized design of the periodic porous shielding box achieves effective EMI shielding in a wide wavelength range (over 2.4 GHz).

Abstract During the progression of proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) following ocular trauma, previously quiescent retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells transition into a state of rapid proliferation, migration, and secretion. The elusive molecular mechanisms behind these changes have hindered the development of effective pharmacological treatments, presenting a pressing clinical challenge. In this study, by monitoring the dynamic changes in chromatin accessibility and various histone modifications, we chart the comprehensive epigenetic landscape of RPE cells in male mice subjected to traumatic PVR. Coupled with transcriptomic analysis, we reveal a robust correlation between enhancer activation and the upregulation of the PVR-associated gene programs. Furthermore, by constructing transcription factor regulatory networks, we identify the aberrant activation of enhancer-driven RANK-NFATc1 pathway as PVR advanced. Importantly, we demonstrate that intraocular interventions, including nanomedicines inhibiting enhancer activity, gene therapies targeting NFATc1 and antibody therapeutics against RANK pathway, effectively mitigate PVR progression. Together, our findings elucidate the epigenetic basis underlying the activation of PVR-associated genes during RPE cell fate transitions and offer promising therapeutic avenues targeting epigenetic modulation and the RANK-NFATc1 axis for PVR management.

Due to the limited bandwidth and transmission congestion of the vehicle platoon's communication, it is inevitable to induce time delay, which significantly degrades the control performance of the vehicle platoon, even resulting in instability. This paper focuses on analyzing the internal stability under generic communication topologies and presents a method of computing the exact time delay margin (ETDM). The proposed method can offer a necessary and sufficient internal stability condition with no conservatism. Firstly, to reduce the analytical complexity and computational burden elegantly, we decompose the closed-loop platoon dynamics into a set of individual subsystems via similarity transformation and matrix factorization. This decomposition approach is applicable for any general communication topology. Secondly, an explicit formula is deduced to compute the ETDM by surveying the characteristic roots' distribution of all these individual subsystems. It is further demonstrated that only the positive purely imaginary roots need to be considered to compute the ETDM. Finally, simulations are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical claims.

Objective To prepare composite scaffolds for rat H9C2 cardiomyocytes, and to optimize the scaffolds that facilitate the growth of H9C2 cardiomyocytes. Methods The electrospinning method was used to prepare three types of compo-site scaffolds, i.e., polycaprolactone (PCL)/chitosan (CS) scaffold (scaffold A), PCL/CS/zinc oxide (ZnO) scaffold (scaffold B), and PCL/CS/ZnO/carbon nanotubes (CNTs) scaffold (scaffold C), and the preparation of scaffolds was verified by the methods including X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, and Raman spectroscopy. Electron microscopy and tensile stress, water contact angle, conductivity, and expansion rate tests were used to eva-luate the physical and chemical properties of the three types of scaffolds, and DAPI staining, electron microscopy, and CCK-8 assay were used to evaluate the biocompatibility of the three types of scaffolds. Results XRD, FTIR spectroscopy, TG analysis, and Raman spectroscopy showed that the three types of scaffolds were successfully prepared. Abstract Background Colorectal cancer (CRC) ranks as the third most common malignancies in the world, and periodic examination of the patient is advantageous in reducing the mortality of CRC. The first blood-based Septin9 gene methylation assay which recognized by the US FDA for CRC examination was Epi proColon. However, this assay was not broadly applied in the current clinical guideline because of its relatively lower sensitivity in the detection of early-stage CRC. Methods This study aimed at developing a new multiplex Septin9 methylation assay (ColonUSK) which simultaneously evaluates two CpG-rich subregions in the promoter of the Septin9 gene and an internal control in a single reaction. ColonUSK proved increased sensitivity, with a detection limit as low as 12pg of the positive DNA compared with the Septin9 assay targeting one CpG-rich subregion. 1366 subjects were prospectively recruited from four comprehensive hospitals in China in an opportunistic screening study for assessing its value in CRC detection. Blind testing was developed to evaluate ColonUSK in comparison with clinical examination using clinical gold standard such as colonoscopy. Results The assay demonstrates clinical sensitivity for diagnosing colorectal cancer (CRC) and advanced adenoma at rates of 77.34% and 25.26%, respectively. Furthermore, ColonUSK exhibits a high degree of specificity for non-CRC cases (95.95%) clinically. Significantly, the detection rate of cases in high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia increased to 54.29%. The value for the assay in the Kappa test was 0.76, showing a high degree of consistency between ColonUSK and clinical gold standard. Conclusions ColonUSK indicated moderate diagnostic value and could become a non-invasive detection way for CRC. The implementation of the ColonUSK assay has the capacity to markedly enhance CRC screening practices.

Abstract Background Dysregulation of enhancer transcription occurs in multiple cancers. Enhancer RNAs (eRNAs) are transcribed products from enhancers that play critical roles in transcriptional control. Characterizing the genetic basis of eRNA expression may elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying cancers. Methods Initially, a comprehensive analysis of eRNA quantitative trait loci (eRNAQTLs) was performed in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), and functional features were characterized using multi-omics data. To establish the first eRNAQTL profiles for colorectal cancer (CRC) in China, epigenomic data were used to define active enhancers, which were subsequently integrated with transcription and genotyping data from 154 paired CRC samples. Finally, large-scale case-control studies (34,585 cases and 69,544 controls) were conducted along with multipronged experiments to investigate the potential mechanisms by which candidate eRNAQTLs affect CRC risk. Results A total of 300,112 eRNAQTLs were identified across 30 different cancer types, which exert their influence on eRNA transcription by modulating chromatin status, binding affinity to transcription factors and RNA-binding proteins. These eRNAQTLs were found to be significantly enriched in cancer risk loci, explaining a substantial proportion of cancer heritability. Additionally, tumor-specific eRNAQTLs exhibited high responsiveness to the development of cancer. Moreover, the target genes of these eRNAs were associated with dysregulated signaling pathways and immune cell infiltration in cancer, highlighting their potential as therapeutic targets. Furthermore, multiple ethnic population studies have confirmed that an eRNAQTL rs3094296-T variant decreases the risk of CRC in populations from China (OR = 0.91, 95%CI 0.88–0.95, P = 2.92 × 10−7) and Europe (OR = 0.92, 95%CI 0.88–0.95, P = 4.61 × 10−6). Mechanistically, rs3094296 had an allele-specific effect on the transcription of the eRNA ENSR00000155786, which functioned as a transcriptional activator promoting the expression of its target gene SENP7. These two genes synergistically suppressed tumor cell proliferation. Our curated list of variants, genes, and drugs has been made available in CancereRNAQTL ( http://canernaqtl.whu.edu.cn/#/ ) to serve as an informative resource for advancing this field. Conclusion Our findings underscore the significance of eRNAQTLs in transcriptional regulation and disease heritability, pinpointing the potential of eRNA-based therapeutic strategies in cancers.

PurposeLefamulin is the first pleuromutilin antibiotic approved for the treatment of community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (CABP). However, the pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) characteristics in Chinese CABP patients are not fully understood. This study aimed to evaluate its microbiological efficacy against Streptococcus pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus via PK/PD analysis.MethodsThe population PK (PopPK) model, established with foreign data was validated using data from Chinese CABP patients. PK/PD analysis was conducted for the intravenous administration of 150 mg q12 h for 1-h, 1.5-h and extended 2-h infusion. Oral administrations of 600 mg q12 h were assessed, considering original and higher plasma protein binding.ResultsLefamulin displayed similar PK characteristics in both Chinese and Western populations. The PopPK model effectively predicted lefamulin concentrations in Chinese CABP patients. Under the dosage regimen of 150 mg q12 h via intravenous infusion for 1/1.5/2 h, the probability of target attainments reached 98% at the minimum inhibitory concentration for both 90% S. pneumoniae and S. aureus, considering both original and higher protein binding rates. It is advisable to extend the infusion duration from 1/1.5 h–2 h to minimize the risk of adverse effects at the infusion site. Regardless of fasted or fed conditions, the PTAs for 600 mg q12 h lefamulin via oral administration proved comparable to those for intravenous administration.ConclusionThis study proved that intravenous and oral administrations of lefamulin can reach preclinical PK/PD targets of S. pneumoniae and S. aureus. These findings support the optimal use of lefamulin for the safe and effective treatment of Chinese CABP patients.

T-cell engagers (TCEs) represent a promising therapeutic strategy for various cancers and autoimmune disorders. These bispecific antibodies act as bridges, connecting T-cell receptors (TCRs) to target cells (either malignant or autoreactive) via interactions with specific tumour-associated antigens (TAAs) or autoantigens to form trimeric synapses, or trimers, that co-localise T-cells with target cells and stimulate their cytotoxic function. Bispecific TCEs are expected to exhibit a bell-shaped dose-response curve, with a defined optimal TCE exposure for maximizing trimer formation. The shape of the dose-response is determined by a non-trivial interplay of binding affinities, exposure and antigens expression levels. Furthermore, excessively low binding to the TCR may reduce efficacy, but mitigate risk of over-stimulating cytokine secretion or induce effector cell exhaustion. These inevitable trade-off highlights the importance of quantitatively understanding the relationship between TCE concentration, target expression, binding affinities, and trimer formation. We utilized a mechanistic target engagement model to show that, if the TCE design parameters are close to the recommended ranges found in the literature, relative affinities for TCR, TAA and target expression levels have qualitatively different, but predictable, effects on the resulting dose-response curve: higher expression levels shift the curve upwards, higher antigen affinity shifts the curve to the left, and higher TCR affinity shifts the curve upwards and to the left.

Abstract Layered composite oxide materials with O3/P2 biphasic crystallographic structure typically demonstrate a combination of high capacities of the O3 phase and high operation voltages of the P2 phase. However, their practical applications are seriously obstructed by difficulties in thermodynamic phase regulation, complicated electrochemical phase transition, and unsatisfactory cycling life. Herein, we propose an efficient structural evolution strategy from biphase to monophase of Na0.766+xLixNi0.33−xMn0.5Fe0.1Ti0.07O2 through Li+ substitution. The role of Li+ substitution not only simplifies the unfavorable phase transition by altering the local coordination of transition metal (TM) cations but also stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase to prevent the degradation of TM cations during battery cycling. As a result, the thermodynamically robust O3‐Na0.826Li0.06Ni0.27Mn0.5Fe0.1Ti0.07O2 cathode delivers a high capacity of 139.4 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C and shows prolonged cycling life at high rates, with capacity retention of 81.6% at 5 C over 500 cycles. This work establishes a solid relationship between the thermodynamic structure evolution and electrochemistry of layered cathode materials, contributing to the development of long‐life sodium‐ion batteries.

A contemporary world order is based on an increasingly complex system of interstate relations, which implies the need to thoroughly consider the international context, even when analyzing bilateral interactions. From this point of view, the concept of a ‘strategic triangle’, developed during the Cold War and applied primarily to analyze the dynamics of relationships between the USSR, the USA and the PRC, appears to have significant epistemological potential. In current conditions, it is of particular interest to use this concept to study the logic of relations in the ‘Russia–India–China’ (RIC) triangle. This research pursues two interrelated goals. On the one hand, it is aimed at identifying specific features of this new ‘strategic triangle’, its inner structure and logic of interactions between its participants. On the other hand, it assesses the applicability of the theoretical models developed during the Cold War to the relations within the framework of the RIC strategic triangle. The author examines the history, general dynamics and contemporary features of interaction within each pair of bilateral relations in this ‘triangle’. The research has confirmed the hypothesis that the relations between Russia, India, and China, indeed, form a specific subsystem of international relations, which can be described as a ‘strategic triangle’. At the same time, unlike the Sino-American-Soviet ‘strategic triangle’, it is the logic of cooperation, rather than rivalry, which generally prevails within the framework of the RIC.However, the RIC ‘triangle’ can also be described as an inherently inconsistent system. While China and Russia maintain close strategic cooperation in almost all areas, in the case of India and Russia, economic cooperation does not match the achieved level of political contacts, and Sino-Indian relations, despite the generally positive dynamics during the recent years, remain at a low level. All this points to the need to develop a new theoretical and methodological framework for analyzing trilateral relations between Russia, India and China as a special subsystem of the contemporary world politics, one that will be free from Cold War stereotypes.

Organic heterocyclic corrosion inhibitors play a crucial role in the non-destructive protection of excavated bronze relics exposed to the atmosphere. However, the current selection of corrosion inhibitors, additives, and dosage requires further investigation. This study involves a comprehensive preparation simulation of electrode materials and atmospheric corrosion electrolytes. The corrosion inhibition performance of 6-thioguanine (6-Tg) and traditional benzotriazole (BTA) inhibitors at pH = 7.5 is explored. Analytical techniques such as potentiodynamic polarization, EIS, XRD, XPS, and SEM-EDS were employed to analyze the characteristics of the research electrode materials. Surface analysis reveals that 6-Tg forms a protective corrosion inhibition film on the surface of the covered patina electrode, influencing the transition of Cu2(OH)3Cl to the more stable Cu2(OH)2CO3 crystal. Electrochemical results demonstrate that, after 600 h in the corrosion solution containing 0.1 g/L of 6-Tg, the corrosion potential and corrosion current reach 0.244 V and 4.9 μA cm−2, respectively. Upon adding 1.2 g/L of NaH2PO4, the polarization resistance and inhibiting efficiencies reach 15.6 kΩ cm2 and 99%, resulting in a synergistic corrosion inhibition effect and passivation potential shift from −0.6 V to 0.2 V region.

Pharmacotherapy is crucial for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The multi-kinase inhibitor donafenib offers superior survival benefits over sorafenib. Donafenib has first-line status, but there is limited research for combination therapies with this anticancer agent. This study aimed to delineate donafenib's antitumor effects, including transcriptomics and proteomics to characterize gene expression changes in donafenib-treated HCC cell lines. In vitro and in vivo tumorigenicity studies were conducted to evaluate the combined antitumor effects of donafenib. Proteomic and transcriptomic analyses identified that donafenib downregulated fatty acid desaturase 2 (FADS2) at the protein and mRNA levels. In vitro and in vivo assays revealed an inhibitory effect of FADS2 blockade on HCC cell malignancy. The combination of donafenib and the FADS2 inhibitor sc-26,196 produced synergistic antitumor action, enhancing therapeutic efficacy in HCC cell lines and xenografted tumors in nude mice. These findings highlight the potential of FADS2 as a biomarker for HCC and show a promising combinatorial therapy for its treatment. Thus, we provide a theoretical basis for translating laboratory research into clinical applications.

Background Spinal cord injury (SCI) poses a challenge due to limited treatment options. Recently, the effect and mechanism of Exo-loaded cannabinoid receptor type 2 (CB2) agonist AM1241(Exo + AM1241) have been applied in other inflammatory diseases but not in SCI.Methods The SCI model was set up using C57BL/6 mice, followed by the treatment of Exo, AM1241, and Exo + AM1241. We assessed the effects of the following treatments on motor function recovery using BMS, and evaluated histological changes, apoptosis activity, inflammation, and oxidative stress in the SCI mice model. Additionally, the effect of following treatments on spinal cord neural stem cells (NSCs) was evaluated under lipopolysaccharides (LPS) induced inflammatory and oxidative models and, glutamate (Gluts) induced cell apoptosis models.Result Our results demonstrated that Exo + AM1241 treatment significantly improved motor function recovery, after SCI by decreasing proinflammatory cytokines, and suppressing astrocyte/microglia (GFAP/Iba1) activation in the injury zone. Additionally, this treatment reduces pro-apoptotic proteins (Bax and caspase 3), increases the levels of the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2, enhances antioxidant defenses by boosting SOD and GSH, and lowers oxidative stress markers such as MDA. It also activates the Nuclear factor erythroid-2 (Nrf2) related factor 2 signaling pathway, thereby enhancing tissue protection against damage and cell death.

Background and aimThe prognosis of microsatellite stable (MSS)-colorectal cancer liver metastasis (CRCLM) following failure of multi-line therapy remains dismal. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) plus fruquintinib and tislelizumab (HAIC-F-T treatment) for MSS-CRCLM which failed from multiple-line therapy.MethodsFrom February 2021 to June 2023, 45 patients with MSS-CRCLM after failure of multiple-line therapy who received HAIC combined with fruquintinib and tislelizumab (HAIC-F-T triple treatment) were enrolled. The combination therapy included HAIC regimens with oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil or irinotecan, oxaliplatin, and 5-fluorouracil on days 1-2, intravenous tislelizumab (200 mg) before HAIC on day 1, and oral fruquintinb (3 mg/d) on day 3-21, every 4 weeks. Overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method.ResultsThe follow-up ended on June 22, 2024, with a median follow-up time of 17.5 months. The objective response rate was 42.2%, and the disease control rate was 82.2%. The median OS was 15.3 months (95% confidence interval [CI]:12.634-17.966), and the median PFS was 7.5 months (95% CI:5.318-9.682). The independent risk factors related to worse OS were previous PD-1 immunotherapy (P = 0.021) and the number of HAIC-F-T triple treatment cycles of ≤ 2 (P = 0.007). The incidence of grade 3 or higher adverse events (AEs) was 20%, with the most frequent grade 3 or higher AEs being abdominal pain (3/45, 6.7%).ConclusionHAIC combined with fruquintinib and tislelizumab may be an alternative salvage treatment for patients with MSS-CRCLM following failure of multiple-line therapy.

Abstract With a continually evolving society and increasing environmental energy concerns, green biomass materials are attracting considerable attention in the field of energy storage owing to their low cost, environmental friendliness, and excellent storage capacity. Biomass materials prepared by various methods have been used as electrodes in secondary batteries. In this review, we discuss the application scope of different types of biomass and biomass‐derived materials in zinc‐air, lithium‐ion, and lithium‐sulfur batteries. The application of biomass and biomass‐derived materials in batteries is gaining increasing attention and is expected to drive many exciting innovations in the field of sustainable energy storage technologies.
