6. A Compact Neural Network-based Algorithm for Robust Image Watermarking

Abstract

Digital image watermarking seeks to protect the digital media information from unauthorized access, where the message is embedded into the digital image and extracted from it, even some noises or distortions are applied under various data processing including lossy image compression and interactive content editing. Traditional image watermarking solutions easily suffer from robustness when specified with some prior constraints, while recent deep learning-based watermarking methods could not tackle the information loss problem well under various separate pipelines of feature encoder and decoder. In this paper, we propose a novel digital image watermarking solution with a compact neural network, named Invertible Watermarking Network (IWN). Our IWN architecture is based on a single Invertible Neural Network (INN), this bijective propagation framework enables us to effectively solve the challenge of message embedding and extraction simultaneously, by taking them as a pair of inverse problems for each other and learning a stable invertible mapping. In order to enhance the robustness of our watermarking solution, we specifically introduce a simple but effective bit message normalization module to condense the bit message to be embedded, and a noise layer is designed to simulate various practical attacks under our IWN framework. Extensive experiments demonstrate the superiority of our solution under various distortions.

19. Proposal for a new scheme for producing a two-photon, high dimensional hyperentangled state

Abstract

We propose an experimentally feasible scheme for generating a two $2\times4\times4$ dimensional photons hyperentangled state, entangled in polarization, frequency and spatial mode. This scheme is mainly based on a parametric down-conversion source and cross-Kerr nonlinearities, which avoids the complicated uncertain post-selection. Our method can be easily expanded to the production of hyperentangled states with more photons in multidimensions. Hence the expectation for vast quantities of information in quantum information processing will possibly come true. Finally, we put forward a realizable quantum key distribution (QKD) protocol based on the high dimensional hyperentangled state., Comment: 15 pages, 5 figures, to appear in J.Mod Optics

Abstract

A memory-based frequent-pattern discovering algorithm for large-scale corpus was presented.First,the origi-nal corpus was partitioned into several parts using appropriate dividing policy.Then each partition was processed inde-pendently to produce a temporary result,and the union of all temporary results is the final frequent-pattern set.The algo-rithm prunes a subtree once it is sure that none of the corresponding pattern will be frequent.Experiment shows that it takes no more than 1.6 gigabytes of memory to discover all patterns appearing more than 100 times for a 3.6 gigabytes news corpus,the average speed is 3.28 magabytes per second.

Abstract

To recognize the hotspot information through great deal of Internet data,the hotspot information detection al-gorithm（HID） was designed.Based on segmented word joint,with a customized noise library and multi-level filtering strategies,HID was provided with the ability to detect hotspot information in large amount of Internet pages.Experiment on TDT international standard test corpus proved the efficiency of HID.

Abstract

To solve a series of problems (including high cost and delivery delay) during takeaway delivery, a model for the vehicle routing problem (VRP) during goods pickup and delivery is developed by considering constraints such as the capacity of delivery vehicles, delivery mileage and time window. The model is constructed by transforming the satisfactions of merchants and customers into a penalty function and aiming to minimise the total delivery cost. As for the drawbacks in a conventional genetic algorithm (CGA), such as a low convergence rate and locally optimum solutions, an improved GA (IGA) is designed by separately using the insertion heuristic algorithm to construct initial solutions and introducing the forward continuous crossover and differential mutation strategies. On the one hand, the numerical analysis and test of weights indicate that the model can reduce the delivery cost of enterprises offering takeaway service and improve satisfactions of merchants and customers. It verifies that reasonably considering satisfactions of merchants and customers during vehicle routing is conducive to cost-reduction and increased efficiency of enterprises. On the other hand, a simulation is conducted to compare and analyse various algorithms based on two different scales of test examples, which validates the proposed algorithm as effective. The study provides a theoretical basis and decision reference for enterprises offering takeaway service to improve delivery efficiency and competitiveness.

45. Inhibition of KiSS-1 on metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma implant tumor in nude mice

Abstract

Background: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a kind of head-neck malignant neoplasm originated from the nasopharyngeal epithelium and is mainly prevalent in Southern China and Southeast Asia countries. KiSS-1 is an inhibitor of tumor metastasis in a range of cancers. Methods: We establish a cell substrain of SUNE-1-5-8F (NPC cell line from humans) that trsnfected with lentiviral vectors carried with KiSS-1 gene and were selected by puromycin. A transplantation tumor animal model in BALB/c-nu mice was successfully established with a substrain that stably overexpressed KiSS-1. Results: Our result showed that the size of transplantation tumor in the nude mice with KiSS-1 overexpression in transplantation tumor was not difference from the size of transplantation tumor in the controlled transplantation tumor mice. We detected metastatic tumor in lung but not in liver. Moreover, we also found that in the nude mice with KiSS-1 overexpression in transplantation tumor showed extremely fewer metastatic tumor in lung compared with the controlled transplantation tumor mice model. In conclusion, KiSS-1 may be beneficial for the inhibition of metastasis of human NPC. Conclusion: This study may throw light on the treatment of NPC and may help improve the prognosis of patients with NPC.
