Fe3O4 nanoparticles were prepared by coprecipitation method. Microwave synthesis method changed the property of the surface of chitosan, and the carboxymethyl chitosan was prepared. The carboxymethyl chitosan magnetic nanoparticle was prepared by microwave synthesis. Carboxymethyl chitosan magnetic nanoparticles were characterized by IR and SEM methods. The application conditions are discussed. Using this material to separate the alkaloid of Evodia rutaecarpa will greatly shorten the time than traditional separation method. The components will be more pure.

To explore the original plants of wild medicinal herbs in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province and find out the species of these plants.Based on the field investigation, specimen collection and literature reference, inductive analysis of the wild original plants of Chinese medicinal herbs in Quanzhou City had been carried out.After investigation, it was discovered that there were 84 families 155 genera 184 species of original plants of Chinese medicinal herbs in Quanzhou City, of which 6 families 7 genera 9 species belonged to pteridophytes; 2 families 2 genera 2 species belonged to gymnosperms; and the rest were angio-sperms. Among the angiosperms, dicotyledons accounted for 62 families 117 genera 139 species; monocotyledons took up 14 families 29 genera 34 species. The plants mentioned above were the original plants of the 186 Chinese medicinal herbs and decoction pieces in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2010 edition).This paper has explored the wild original plant species of Chinese medicinal herbs in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province to provide not only the basis for the local government's development and utilization of wild Chinese medicinal herbs but also the data for the fourth national survey of Chinese medicinal herb resources.

To explore the feasibility of the adenosine triphosphate-tumor chemosensitivity assay (ATP-TCA) in human cervical cancer chemosensitivity testing and to analyze the relationship between the three drug resistance-associated proteins: P-glycoprotein (P-gp); glutathione S-transferase-pi (GST-pi); thymidylate synthase (TS) and ATP-TCA.ATP-TCA was used to detect the sensitivity of 35 specimens of fresh cervical cancer to six cytotoxic drugs as follows: paclitaxel (TAX), cisplatin (DDP), bleomycin (BLM), gemcitabine (GEM), 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), irinotecan (CPT-11). Consecutive sections from 35 cases of cervical cancer were assessed immunohistochemically for expression of P-gp, GST-pi and TS proteins.(1) Thirty-two of 35 assays were completed successfully, with an evaluability rate of ATP-TCA at 91% (32/35). There was a marked heterogeneity of chemosensitivity in cervical cancer. The ex vivo sensitive rate of TAX was 88% (28/32), of 5-FU 72% (23/32), of GEM 62% (20/32), of DDP 19% (6/32), of BLM 16% (5/32), and of CPT-11 12% (4/32). (2) The expression of GST-pi and TS protein in cervical cancer was 66% (21/32) and 44% (14/32), which was associated with the resistance to DDP and 5-FU ex vivo (P=0.011, P=0.022), respectively; but the expression of P-gp protein was not associated with any resistance to TAX, 5-FU, GEM, DDP, BLM or CPT-11 ex vivo (P0.05).ATP-TCA could be used to individualize chemotherapy by selecting agents for particular patients of cervical cancer. The expression of GST-pi and TS protein might be useful biomarkers to predict the resistance to DDP and 5-FU in patients with cervical cancer.

Primary retroperitioneal tumor often invades large vessels; the difficulty of operation is the management of the vessels, especially the inferior vena cava (IVC). The suprarenal ligation of the IVC was considered to be dangerous. The aim of this study was to investigate the cardiac hemodynamics following suprarenal ligation of the IVC and the resection of the right kidney or injection of ligustrazine in rats, and to provide theories and guides for the clinical operations.The rats were divided into six groups of seven. The groups were control group, false operation group, suprarenal ligation of the IVC group, suprarenal ligation of IVC and resection of right kidney group, ligustrazine group, and placebo group. All rats were determined for heart rate, ejection fraction, cardiac output, stroke volume, arterial pressure at 1st, 6th, 24th, 48th hour after the operations.The indexes of the false operation group had no change. CO(0.018+/-0.002 L/min), SV(0.054+/-0.008 ml), AP(H)(173+/-12 mmHg), AP(L)(161+/-11 mmHg) decreased to the lowest point at 1st hour following the suprarenal ligation of the IVC, but compensated completely at 48th hour after the operation. All rats in this group survived during the study period. CO(0.012+/-0.002 L/min), SV(0.038+/-0.005 ml), AP(H)(138+/-8 mmHg), AP(L)(131+/-9 mmHg)decreased to the lowest point at 1st hour following the suprarenal ligation of the IVC and resection of the right kidney, CO and SV were not compensated completely at 48th hour after the operation, two rats died in this group. CO (0.025+/-0.004 L/min), SV(0.063+/-0.009 ml), AP(H)(190+/-14 mmHg), AP(L)(163+/-9 mmHg)decreased to the lowest point at 1st hour following the suprarenal ligation of the IVC, but compensated quickly at 24th hour after the operation, all rats survived in this group. The placebo group, compared with the ligustrazine group, had no obvious change.Cardiac function was affected by low returned blood volume following the suprarenal ligation of the IVC, but compensated completely at 48th hour after the operation. The suprarenal ligation of the IVC and injection of ligustrazine could improve cardiac function of the experimental rats. The suprarenal ligation of the IVC and resection of the right kidney, which not only increased the operative difficulty but also reduced cardiac functional compensation and appeared the death of rats, were not appropriate. We suggest to ligate the suprarenal IVC and to inject ligustrazine after resecting the tumor and infiltrated IVC, not to resect normal right kidney. To infuse solution by upper limb to increase returned blood volume in early phase after the operation.

To explore the application of liposuction in scar repair.Liposuction using tumescent technique was performed at the scar region. While the local skin was relaxed and tension decreased, scar resection and wound closure followed. The indications and key points of this operation are discussed in the article.This method has been used in 27 patients for scar repair since 2000. The biggest area of excised scar was 40 x 9.5 cm. The width of the excised scar reached 11 cm. All the patients got satisfactory results.The operation was simple and safe with little blood loss. After liposuction, a larger area of scar at a fatty region could be excised, and meanwhile, body sculpture was achieved.
