Introduction Lung cancer continues to be a common form of cancer worldwide and a primary contributor to cancer-related fatalities. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most prevalent form, making up 80% to 85% of newly identified malignant lung tumours, and remains a major concern for worldwide health. Surgical resection is the preferred treatment for localised NSCLC, but more than one-third of patients present with locally advanced, unresectable tumours. Concurrent radiation therapy and chemotherapy are believed to offer the potential for prolonged disease-free and overall survival to those patients. However, the results are inconsistent, and systematic meta-analysis is lacking to evaluate its treatment effect comprehensively. Therefore, we will conduct a meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of 3D-CRT concurrent chemotherapy in unresectable stage III NSCLC to provide evidence-based medical support for clinical treatment.Methods and analysis This systematic review and meta-analysis will adhere to the guidelines outlined in the PRISMA statement. Based on the predetermined criteria for inclusion, we will conduct a comprehensive search for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) examining the efficacy and safety of three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT) concurrent chemotherapy in unresectable stage III NSCLC. The search will be performed across multiple databases including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, Scopus and Web of Science from inception to 1 November 2024 using terms including NSCLC, 3D-CRT concurrent chemotherapy, radiation therapy, RCT and controlled clinical trial. Furthermore, relevant literature citations will be gathered, and relevant journals will be manually searched. The primary outcomes in the study were overall survival; progression-free survival; 1-, 3- and 5-year survival rates; event-free survival; and median survival time. Secondary outcomes included treatment effectiveness, all adverse events (AEs), all treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs), AEs (grade ≥3) and TRAEs (grade ≥3). Two separate reviewers will be responsible for screening, extracting data and evaluating quality. Our reviewers will perform subgroup analysis, sensitivity analysis and publication bias analysis to evaluate the heterogeneity and robustness. Review Manager 5.4 will be used for the analysis and synthesis process. The risk of bias will be assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool (RoB 2), and the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation will be employed to evaluate the study’s overall evidence quality.Ethics and dissemination This study is based on a secondary analysis of the literature, so ethical review approval is not required. According to the predefined inclusion criteria, we will conduct a comprehensive search for randomised controlled trials and non-randomised studies examining the recurrence and metastasis of LND compared with LNS in patients with NSCLC. A literature search from inception in PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, CNKI, Wanfang, SINOMED, VIP and Web of Science will be done. There will be no limitations on language, and the search will be undertaken on 30 August 2024, with regular search for new studies. Additionally, relevant literature references will be retrieved and hand-searching of pertinent journals will be conducted. The main outcomes include overall recurrence rate, local recurrence rate and distant metastasis rate. The supplementary outcomes encompass the rates of regional recurrence and lymph node metastasis. Two independent reviewers will perform screening, data extraction and quality assessment. Our reviewers will perform subgroup analysis, sensitivity analysis and publication bias analysis to evaluate the heterogeneity and robustness. Review Manager 5.4 will be applied in analysing and synthesising. The Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation will be used to assess the quality of evidence for the whole study.Ethics and dissemination Ethical approval is dispensable for this study since no private information of the participants will be involved. Surgical removal of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has the potential to achieve a cure, although there is ongoing debate regarding the significance of removing mediastinal nodes and the optimal extent of lymph node excision. The purpose of this research is to assess the survival outcomes in patients diagnosed with stage I–IIIA NSCLC who received either complete mediastinal lymphadenectomy (CML) or selective mediastinal lymphadenectomy (SML).Methods and analysis The protocol follows the guidelines recommended in Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols, and this meta-analysis will be conducted in accordance with the standard methodology recommended by the Cochrane Collaboration and reported in accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020 guidance. We will conduct a comprehensive search for randomised controlled trials and non-randomised studies examining the effectiveness of CML compared with SML in patients with stage I–IIIA NSCLC. Two authors will perform a comprehensive search of the MEDLINE/PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, CNKI, WanFang, Sinomed, VIP and Web of Science databases. There will be no restrictions on language or publication date, and the search will be conducted on 10 April 2024, with ongoing searches for new research. Reference lists will also be checked and pertinent journals will be hand searched. The primary outcomes include overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS), while the secondary outcomes consist of 1-year, 3-year and 5-year OS rates and 1-year, 3-year and 5-year DFS rates. Two independent reviewers will screen, extract data, assess quality and evaluate the potential for bias in the selected research, with a third acting as arbitrator. Subgroup analyses and sensitivity analyses are planned. The quality of the evidence will be evaluated using Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation. Review Manager V.5.4 will be used for the analysis and synthesis process.Ethics and dissemination Ethical review and approval are not necessary for this study because it is based on a secondary analysis of the literature. Abstract Here, a method for assessing the risk of bird pecking damage of composite insulators in ultra high voltage (UHV) lines is proposed using electric field (E‐field) simulation and deep learning. The distribution of E‐field on composite insulators is analysed via numerical simulation for different damage locations and damage sizes. Then, using the defective images of composite insulator strings captured in real inspection environments, the corresponding annotation image data set is constructed according to the finite element calculation results of E‐field under different damage conditions, and through the application of the YOLOX deep learning neural network, the risk assessment of the damage caused by bird pecking of insulators for UHV lines is conducted. Furthermore, to prevent overfitting of YOLOX with small‐scale images, transfer learning, as well as data enhancement, are applied to the YOLOX training process. According to the results, the mean average precision (mAP) of the model is 0.79, indicating that it is capable of high accuracy recognition, provides guidance for operation and maintenance personnel.

However, the extent of mediastinal lymph nodes removal required and the impact of their removal remains controversial. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the postoperative complications in patients with stage I-II NSCLC who received mediastinal lymph node dissection (MLND) or mediastinal lymph node sampling (MLNS).Methods and analysisAccording to the predefined inclusion criteria, we will conduct a comprehensive search for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies examining the postoperative complications of MLND compared to MLNS in patients with stage I-II NSCLC. Additionally, relevant literature references will be retrieved and hand searching of pertinent journals will be conducted. Screening, data extraction, and quality assessment will be performed by two independent reviewers. Review Manager 5.4 will be applied in analyzing and synthesizing. The Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) will be used to assess the quality of evidence for the whole RCTs and used Newcastle-Ottawa scale to assess the methodologic quality of observational studies.Ethics and disseminationThis study did not include personal information. Ethical approval was not required for this study. This study is based on a secondary analysis of the literature, so ethical review approval is not required. Abstract The application potential of aluminium conductor composite core (ACCC) conductors in the 1000‐kV power transmission line project deserves to be investigated. Its economic evaluation is a contentious issue. This paper proposes a method for selecting the type of conductors based on the life cycle cost (LCC) of a transmission line, which includes the initial investments, operation costs, maintenance costs, failure costs, and discard costs. The mathematical model of electromagnetic loss differs due to the various operational circumstances surrounding a transmission line; therefore, a novel three‐dimensional electromagnetic–fluid–thermal coupling model based on the finite element method (FEM) was proposed. The simulation error of ACCC and aluminium conductor steel reinforced (ACSR) conductors is 2.56% and 0.5%, respectively, compared to the experimental value. Subsequently, the LCC model is applied in the economic analysis of a 1000‐kV transmission line, and the costs of ACCC conductors and ACSR conductors under different annual power load utilization hours are calculated. The results indicate that the overhead power transmission line with ACCC conductors saves at least 2 × 106 ¥/km compared with ACSR when annual utilization hours reach 3500 h; meanwhile, energy saving benefits are achieved.

Abstract In China, the bracket of underground high voltage cable transmission line is mainly made of various carbon steels. However, no unified standard exists for type selection of cable brackets in practice. Here, a selection method of the bracket based on life cycle cost assessment is proposed from the viewpoint of technical economy, in which the size of brackets, steel grade, carbon steel corrosion and eddy current loss are considered as influencing factors to the costs. Stress performance analysis under identical pole arm stress constraints is employed to determine the size and grade of carbon steel which influences the initial cost. And 3D coupled electromagnetic fluid‐dynamical and thermal finite‐element analysis is applied to calculate the eddy current loss of cable brackets which influences the operation cost. Meanwhile, multi‐physics coupling analysis and experiment are conducted to prove the correctness of loss simulation calculation. Tafel curve measured by electrochemical corrosion experiment is used to obtain the corrosion rate of carbon steel which influences the maintenance cost by affecting service life of brackets. A case study is demonstrated, and the results show that the channel steel type is the most economical for the commendatory and the proposed method is effective.

A method was developed for simultaneous determination of 15 amino acids and 7 alkyl amines. The method was based on the employment of high performance liquid chromatography/fluorescence detection and online derivatization with o-phthaldiadehyde. The 22 derivatives were separated within 30 min including the equilibration time and detected by a fluorescence detector at an excitation wavelength of 230 nm and emission wavelength of 450 nm. The analysis procedure was satisfactorily validated by the reproducibility, recovery, linearity and detection limit of the analytes. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) of retention time and peak area for individual amino acids and alkyl amines were consistently less than 0.30% and 2.35%, respectively. Good recovery values ranging from 70% to 109% were obtained. The proposed method showed good linearity (R2≥0.99) in the range of 0.125-125 μM/L for amino acids and 2.5-5000 ng/L for alkyl amines. The detection limit ranged from 0.13 pM to 0.37 pM for individual amino acids and from 0.9 ng to 7.2 ng for individual alkyl amines. The developed and validated method was successfully applied to the quantitative analysis of amino acids and alkyl amines in continental and marine aerosols in China. Among the identified organic nitrogen compounds, 7 amino acids and 6 alkyl amines were detected in every aerosol sample. Glycine was the dominant amino acid, with the average of 130.93 pmol/m3 (accounting for 83% of the total amino acids) and 137.22 pmol/m3 (accounting for 66% of the total amino acids) in continental and marine aerosols in China, respectively. Methylamine and ethanolamine were the most abundant alkyl amines, contributing 87% and 64% to the total alkyl amines in continental and marine aerosols in China, respectively. This work provided an accurate, sensitive and simple method to determine simultaneously amino acids and alkyl amines, and applied the proposed method to the first investigation of amino acids in Shanghai and amino acids and alkyl amines in Huaniao Island in China. The finding of considerable amino acids and alkyl amines in continental and marine aerosols may exert significant implications on nitrogen cycling and atmospheric chemistry.

OBJECTIVE: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the overall survival, local recurrence, distant metastasis, and complications of mediastinal lymph node dissection (MLND) versus mediastinal lymph node sampling (MLNS) in stage I-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. METHODS: A systematic search of published literature was conducted using the main databases (MEDLINE, PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane databases) to identify relevant randomized controlled trials that compared MLND vs. MLNS in NSCLC patients. Methodological quality of included randomized controlled trials was assessed according to the criteria from the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Review of Interventions (Version 5.1.0). Meta-analysis was performed using The Cochrane Collaboration's Review Manager 5.3. The results of the meta-analysis were expressed as hazard ratio (HR) or risk ratio (RR), with their corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI). RESULTS: We included results reported from six randomized controlled trials, with a total of 1,791 patients included in the primary meta-analysis. Compared to MLNS in NSCLC patients, there was no statistically significant difference in MLND on overall survival (HR = 0.77, 95% CI 0.55 to 1.08; P = 0.13). In addition, the results indicated that local recurrence rate (RR = 0.93, 95% CI 0.68 to 1.28; P = 0.67), distant metastasis rate (RR = 0.88, 95% CI 0.74 to 1.04; P = 0.15), and total complications rate (RR = 1.10, 95% CI 0.67 to 1.79; P = 0.72) were similar, no significant difference found between the two groups. CONCLUSIONS: Results for overall survival, local recurrence rate, and distant metastasis rate were similar between MLND and MLNS in early stage NSCLC patients. There was no evidence that MLND increased complications compared with MLNS. Whether or not MLND is superior to MLNS for stage II-IIIA remains to be determined.

The morphological characteristics of the pollen grains from the Pitaya germplasms and the genetic relationship of the germplasms were analyzed through experiments, to provide the palyno- logical basis for the systematic classification and identification of the Pitaya germplasms. The pollen morphology of 16 germplasms from 9 areas of Fujian Province was observed by JSM-6380LV scanning electron microscope after fixed, cleaned, dehydrated step by step, dried, and coated with gold. The ultrastructural characteristics of pollen grain population (enlarged by 200 times), pollen grain individuals (1300 times larger) and outer wall ornaments in the middle of the equatorial surface of the pollen grains (3000 times magnified) were observed and taken photomicrograph from the representative field of vision. The comprehensive data obtained by the experiment were statistically analyzed by the DPS data processing system (Duncan new repolarization difference method) and SPSS19.0 software was used for analysis of a clustering component, which is based on the sum of squares of deviations, and a tree of 16 taxonomic units was made. There is little information on pollen morphological analysis of papaya cultivars with different flesh color and origins. We observed pollen morphological characters of 17 papaya cultivars through scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that papaya pollen grains were monads, tricolporate, and small and medium-sized. The pollen grains were oblate-spheroidal to spheroidal. Foveolate, reticulate, and fossulate exine ornamentation were observed. Colpi width had maximum coefficient of variation of 25%; Shannon diversity index of all qualitative characters reached over 0.8. Using cluster analysis, 17 papaya cultivars were divided into three groups; there was no relationship between flesh colors and origins. The study findings suggest that pollen morphological analysis is valuable to provide references for breeding and genetic improvement of papaya. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
