The application of 2024 aluminum alloy (comprising aluminum, copper, and magnesium) in the aerospace industry is extensive, particularly in the manufacture of seats. However, this alloy faces challenges during laser powder bed fusion (PBF-LB/M) processing, which often leads to solidification and cracking issues. To address these challenges, LaB6 nanoparticles have been investigated as potential grain refiners. This study systematically examined the impact of adding different amounts of LaB6 nanoparticles (ranging from 0.0 to 1.0 wt.%) on the microstructure, phase composition, grain size, and mechanical properties of the composite material. The results demonstrate that the addition of 0.5 wt.% LaB6 significantly reduces the average grain size from 10.3 μm to 9 μm, leading to a significant grain refinement effect. Furthermore, the tensile strength and fracture strain of the LaB6-modified A2024 alloy reach 251 ± 2 MPa and 1.58 ± 0.12%, respectively. These findings indicate that the addition of appropriate amounts of LaB6 nanoparticles can effectively refine the grains of 2024 aluminum alloy, thereby enhancing its mechanical properties. Triglyceride (TG) and atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) have been acknowledged to be risk factors for vascular insults, but their impacts on the brain system remain elusive. To fill in some gaps, we investigated associations of TG and AIP with brain structure, leveraging the UK Biobank database. TG and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) were examined at baseline and AIP was calculated as log (TG/HDL-C). We build several linear regression models to estimate associations of TG and AIP with volumes of brain grey matter phenotypes. Significant inverse associations of TG and AIP with volumes of specific subcortical traits were observed, among which TG and AIP were most significantly associated with caudate nucleus (TG: β [95% confidence interval CI] = −0.036 [−0.051, −0.022], AIP: −0.038 [−0.053, −0.023]), thalamus (−0.029 [−0.042, −0.017], −0.032 [−0.045, −0.019]). Higher TG and AIP were also considerably related with reduced cortical structure volumes, where two most significant associations of TG and AIP were with insula (TG: −0.035 [−0.048, −0.022], AIP: −0.038 [−0.052, −0.025]), superior temporal gyrus (−0.030 [−0.043, −0.017], −0.033 [−0.047, −0.020]). Modification effects of sex and regular physical activity on the associations were discovered as well. Our findings show adverse associations of TG and AIP with grey matter volumes, which has essential public health implications for early prevention in neurodegenerative diseases. Aiming to improve the manufacturing accuracy of the build-in channels by selective laser melting (SLM), an anti-deformation model was established which was based on the simulation results of deformation and stress distribution of channel structure models with different length-depth ratios in SLM process by Simufact Additive software. It is demonstrated that the length of the channel structure is proportional to the deformation. Conversely, with the depth of the channel increases, the total distortion has a tendency of decreasing. The anti-deformation model can effectively reduce the amount of adhesive powder and deformation on the inner surface of printing parts, and improve the forming accuracy. In particular, the double-peak distortion occurs when the length and depth of the channel are 20 and 60 mm, respectively. Meanwhile, the roughness of overhanging surface is improved by 41.21% after compensating by anti-deformation mathematical model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Powder bed fusion laser beam, as one of the most promising forming technologies, offers unmatched benefits over traditional processing, particularly in the production of Ti–6Al–4V. The influence of laser line energy density (LLED) on the forming surface, phase composition, micro-hardness, tensile characteristics and wear resistance of Ti–6Al–4V alloy were explored to disclose the evolution of mechanical and tribological properties. According to the findings, the LLED causes 'depressions' and 'highlands' between nearby scanning tracks. The phase composition did not alter appreciably as LLED increased. Micro-hardness and tensile characteristics increased initially, then declined, and the value of maximum micro-hardness and ultimate tensile strength were 388.17 HV0.2 and 1197.5 MPa, respectively. Furthermore, when the LLED is 0.24 J mm–1, the wear resistance is optimal under the aviation lubricant medium, with an average friction coefficient of 0.1505 and volume wear rate of 6.95∗10−8 mm2∗N−1, and a wear mechanism of mild furrow wear and adhesion wear. A novel, waterborne polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)-modified polyurethane-acrylic (Si-PUA)/pigment hybrid emulsion was synthesized by one-step miniemulsion polymerization for the pigment printing of polyester fabric. The phase structure, hydrophobicity, and thermal and mechanical properties of the formed films with different PDMS contents from the hybrid emulsion were investigated. The results indicated that the pigment particles were uniformly distributed in the homogeneous phase polymer substrate without phase separation occurring between the PDMS phase and polyurethane-acrylic. The hydrophobicity and toughness of the Si-PUA/pigment hybrid latex films gradually increased with the increase of PDMS content. Moreover, the obtained hybrid emulsion was used as a self-curable hybrid pigment that was applied to polyethylene terephthalate fabric for pigment printing. This showed that the Si-PUA/pigment hybrid latex particles yielded similarly good values in terms of color strength, and dry- and wet-rubbing fastness to the PDMS-free hybrid latex particles. As the key running part of the railway freight transportation system, the wheel not only bears the load of the vehicle, but also ensures the running and steering of the car body on the rails. The frequent high-speed friction with the rail and brake is the main reason for early failure of wheelset tread. Therefore, real-time status monitoring and early fault diagnosis of wheel treads have become key technical issues that must be solved in the reform of the railway freight maintenance system. In this paper, an adaptive hybrid Simulated Annealing Cuckoo Search algorithm (SA-ACS) is proposed and applied to the Deep Belief Network (DBN). The SA-ACS-DBN algorithm is used to improve the training speed and convergence accuracy of the diagnosis model. Finally, it is found through the comparison experiment of wheel tread fault data that the data results prove the feasibility of the SA-ACS-DBN model in the application of wheelset fault diagnosis. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a prevalent malignancy affecting the hematopoietic system, encompassing both B-cell ALL (B-ALL) and T-cell ALL (T-ALL). T-ALL, characterized by the proliferation of T-cell progenitors in the bone marrow, presents significant treatment challenges, with patients often experiencing high relapse rates and poor long-term survival despite advances in chemotherapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). This review explores the pathogenesis and traditional treatment strategies of T-ALL, emphasizing the promising potential of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) technology in overcoming current therapeutic limitations. CAR therapy, leveraging genetically modified immune cells to target leukemia-specific antigens, offers a novel and precise approach to T-ALL treatment.
