Abstract

Permeable pavement is often known as “cool road”. However, the cooling performance will be weakened due to clogging. In this paper, the temperature field distribution model of asphalt pavement was obtained by Green’s function. Gradations of porous asphalt mixture were designed to obtain different porosities, and the thermal properties of specimens with different porosities were tested and calculated. The simulation test was carried out to obtain the heating curves, which were used to verify the accuracy of the temperature model by comparing the results of the theoretical calculation to results of the test. The daily solar radiation intensity and air temperature changing functions were plugged into the model to calculate the temperature at the bottom of the middle surface. In this way, the simplified model of void fraction and cooling performance of the porous asphalt pavement was obtained. The results showed that the temperature at the bottom of the middle surface for permeable pavement was lower than that for traditional asphalt pavements. The gap was between 0.29 to 2.75 °C and it increased as the porosity of permeable pavement increased.

44. Performance research and engineering application of FA-based geopolymer grouting materials.

Abstract

Industrial solid wastes such as fly ash (FA) and slag(GBFS) were chosen as main raw materials. Under the activation of modified water glass,those industrial solid wastes finally turned into FA-based geopolymer grouting materials with low carbon, high strength, low shrinkage and other advantages. Results show that the compressive strength of FA-based geopolymer grouting material is greatly increased with the increase of GBFS dosage, and the drying shrinkage of the FA-based geopolymer grouting material is obviously decreased with the increase of GBFS dosage. The Na2O content in modified water glass controls the exciting ability of FA and GBFS, the optimum Na2O content is 9.0%. The modulus (Ms) mainly controls the early polymerization process, the optimum modulus of water glass is 1.2. After grouting with G-9-12-30 geopolymer for 4 years,the deflection value drops by 50.2%,and the structure strength index increases by 106.2%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

45. Study on Hydrological Characteristics of Large Permeable Parking lot in Sponge City

Abstract

Pervious pavement of large parking lot in sponge city is a new structural form, which is conducive to solving the problem of deterioration of urban ecological environment. The hydrological characteristics of large permeable parking lot are studied. The results show that the effect of large permeable parking lot on flow delay is obvious. No runoff occurs in the structure of large permeable parking lot when the maximum rainfall intensity reaches 0.968 mm/min. When the recurrence period increases from one year to 100 years, the percentage of total runoff reduction are 100%, 66%, 56%, 48%, 44%, and the peak flow reduction rate are 100%, 58%, 50%, 46%, 41%, respectively. With the extension of rainfall recurrence period, the total amount of runoff reduction in large permeable parking lots increased, and the reduction rate showed a downward trend. The research results can provide reference for the construction of large permeable parking lot in sponge city.
