Many types of anthocyanins are present inVitis amurensis Ruprof ‘Beibinghong’, which is grown in North-east China and has high antioxidant activity. However, the anthocyanin with the highest content inV. amurensis Ruprhas not yet been identified. In this study, pulsed electric field extraction and semi-preparative liquid phase separation were used to isolate the anthocyanin monomer from ‘Beibinghong’. UV–vis spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, mass spectra and nuclear magnetic resonance were used to identify the anthocyanin monomer. The antioxidant activities of the anthocyanin monomer were also analysed. Malvidin-3,5-O-diglucoside was identified as the main anthocyanin inV. amurensis Rupr, which could be used as a raw material for its extraction. Furthermore, malvidin-3,5-O-diglucoside can be potentially used as a functional food, and a novel therapeutic and preventive agent for oxidative stress-related diseases. In this study, a novel composite membrane was developed by casting the mixed aqueous solution of chitosan (CS) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) on a glass fiber microporous membrane. The polymeric coating of a composite membrane containing amino groups and hydroxyl groups has a favorable CO 2 affinity and provides an enhanced CO 2 transport mechanism, thereby improving the permeance and selectivity of CO 2 . A series of tests for the composite membranes were taken to characterize the chemical structure, morphology, strength, and gas separation properties. ATR-FTIR spectra showed that the chemical structure and functional group of the polymer coating had no obvious change after the heat treatment under 180 °C, while SEM results showed that the composite membranes had a dense surface. The gas permeance and selectivity of the composite membrane were tested using single gases. The results showed that the addition of chitosan can increase the CO 2 permeance which could reach 233 GPU. After a wetting treatment, the CO 2 permeance (454 GPU) and gas selectivity (17.71) were higher than that of dry membranes because moisture promotes the composite membrane transmission. After a heat treatment, the permeance of N 2 decreased more significantly than that of CO 2 , which led to an increase in CO 2 /N 2 selectivity (10.0).

It has been previously reported that Toll‑like receptor 4 (TLR4)/NF‑κB signaling mediates early inflammation during myocardial ischemia and reperfusion. It has additionally been suggested that resveratrol produces cardioprotective and anti‑inflammatory effects. The aim of the present study was to investigate whether resveratrol could modulate TLR4/NF‑κB signaling, reduce neutrophil accumulation and TNF‑α induction in an ischemia/reperfusion injured rat heart model. Rats were randomly exposed to a sham operation, myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), MI/R + resveratrol or MI/R + resveratrol + L‑NAME. The data showed that following MI/R, the expression of myocardial TLR4 and NF‑κB increased significantly in the area of induced ischemia. As compared with MI/R, resveratrol significantly attenuated the expression of TLR4 and NF‑κB and reduced the levels of myeloperoxidase, serum and myocardial TNF‑α production, myocardial infarct size and myocardial apoptosis induced by MI/R. All the effects of resveratrol were abolished upon application of L‑NAME, a nitric oxide (NO) synthase inhibitor. These data provide evidence that resveratrol inhibits TLR4/NF‑κB signaling in the rat heart subjected to MI/R, and the anti‑inflammatory effect of resveratrol is associated with NO production.
