Light scattering material with gradient refractive index was prepared under the electrical field by taking methyl methacrylate (MMA) monomer as the matrix with the addition of a little preheated styrene (ST) and peroxidation benzoin formyl (BPO). The material obtained under electrical field presented different transmittance and molecular weight at different parts of the cylindrical sample along the axis of the direction of electric field which led to the layering phenomenon and gradient refractive index. The disparity of molecular weight between different layers can be as much as 230 thousand. There were several peaks in the figure of GPC test of the sample under electric field. This proved that there were polymers with different molecular weights in the sample. Therefore, it can be concluded that electrical field has a significant effect on polymerization.

Abstract Philosophical practice applies philosophical insights and methods to help individuals explore and resolve intellectual, emotional, and existential dilemmas, enhancing self-understanding and mental well-being. This study employs CiteSpace to analyze global research trends and hotspots in philosophical practice using data from the Web of Science (WOS) and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) databases spanning from 2000 to 2024. By identifying key methodologies and applications, the study compares the development of philosophical practice in Western and Chinese contexts across theoretical culture, practical application, social impact, and professional development. The findings reveal that Western philosophical practice, rooted in ancient Greek philosophy and modern streams like existentialism and analytic philosophy, emphasizes individual autonomy, critical thinking, and personal growth. In contrast, Chinese philosophical practice draws from Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism, focusing on harmony between the individual and society, moral cultivation, and social cohesion. Despite these differences, both traditions share common goals of enhancing self-awareness, addressing ethical dilemmas, and improving mental health through philosophical dialogue. The study highlights the potential for integrating Chinese and Western philosophical practice, suggesting that a fusion of methodologies and ethical frameworks can provide a more holistic and culturally sensitive approach. This integration offers new perspectives for global philosophical dialogue, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical applications in addressing contemporary challenges.

Abstract This paper provides a comprehensive examination of thought analysis as a contemporary practice within philosophical inquiry, exploring its theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, and practical implications. Rooted in classical philosophical traditions yet acutely relevant to modern life, thought analysis—officially conceptualized by Tianqun Pan—serves as a bridge between knowledge and action, addressing the cognitive dissonance that often hinders personal growth and rational decision-making. Through an analysis of historical and recent sources, including case studies from the laboratory of thought analysis at Nanjing University, we investigate whether logical reasoning is an innate human capacity or developed through education and practice, highlighting the importance of fostering logical skills in thought analysis. Ethical considerations, such as trust between analyst and visitor and the principle of value neutrality, are critically examined to underscore the necessity of maintaining visitor autonomy and preventing bias. We explore the relationship between thought analysis and therapeutic practices, emphasizing that while thought analysis is not inherently therapeutic, it possesses qualities that can lead to psychological relief and personal development through the clarification of thought. Comparative analyses with Logic-based Therapy and Logotherapy illustrate the unique position of thought analysis within philosophical practice. By reframing thought analysis as a form of humanistic care rather than clinical therapy, the paper advocates for its role in promoting clear thinking, self-awareness, and ethical living, thereby contributing to individual well-being and social harmony. Ultimately, the study affirms thought analysis as a transformative practice that aligns philosophical inquiry with practical life, empowering individuals to achieve greater coherence between their beliefs and actions.

Typhoon disaster factors show multiplicity, so the risk assessment of typhoon-related disasters is more difficult than other hazards. Using the typhoon precipitation and maximum wind speed data of 81 national meteorological stations and 1 035 regional automatic meteorological stations in Anhui Province, a comprehensive typhoon wind and rain intensity index is first constructed. Then the typhoon wind and rain intensity index and disaster pregnant environment impact coefficient are used to assess the risk of typhoon disasters. According to the theory of natural disaster risk assessment, the risk assessment of housing damage by typhoon disaster in Anhui Province is conducted by integrating disaster-causing hazards, exposure level and vulnerability of disaster-bearing bodies. The results show that Anhui Province is affected by about 1.9 typhoons per year on average, with a duration of 2-4 days. The results are as follows. The southern part and mountainous areas usually have more typhoon precipitation than the northern part and plain areas. The high-hazard region caused by typhoon disasters is mainly located in the southern mountainous and Dabie Mountains in Anhui Province, with the relatively high-hazard region in the east of Jianghuai region, and the low-hazard area in most of the regions to the north of the Huaihe River and in the northwest of Jianghuai region. The high and relatively high-risk area of housing damage caused by typhoon disasters is located in the Dabie Mountains, the eastern part of the Jianghuai region, and the southern mountainous area in Anhui Province. These areas are generally high in elevation, and easily suffer from geological disasters and mountain floods during typhoon transit. In addition, the vulnerability of houses is high, which further causes a high risk of house collapse and damage. The medium-risk region is scattered in the Huaihe River region and Jiangnan region. Lower and low-risk areas are located in the central and western parts to the north of the Huaihe River, regions along the Yangtze River, and main urban areas. Using reports on house damage caused by typhoons from different counties in Anhui Province, the zoning results are verified through spatial consistency and scatter correlation. A high degree of spatial consistency between the risk zoning results and the actual damage, with scatter correlation between them passing a significance test of 0.01, indicating that the risk zoning results of housing damage by typhoon disaster in Anhui Province are basically consistent with the actual situation.

Abstract This paper examines the application and evolution of philosophical practice in China, which employs philosophical principles and methods to facilitate insights and address life’s complexities. We aim to bridge the knowledge gap regarding the trajectory and contemporary landscape of China’s philosophical practice and its impact on individual and societal flourishing. Guided by the research question, “How has philosophical practice evolved in China, and what are its challenges and future prospects?” this study adopts a qualitative research methodology, including a literature review, historical analysis, and case studies from Chinese philosophical communities. Findings indicate a burgeoning growth of philosophical practice in China, with traditional Chinese philosophies being adapted to provide practical guidance for contemporary issues. The spread of philosophical practice communities across China reflects a growing embrace of these practices. This paper outlines the hurdles and prospects for philosophical practice, pinpointing opportunities for further research and cross-cultural engagement. The insights furnished by this study offer a framework for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to enhance philosophical practice’s role in personal growth and societal well-being, both within China and internationally.

Abstract Developing supramolecular porous crystalline frameworks with tailor-made architectures from advanced secondary building units (SBUs) remains a pivotal challenge in reticular chemistry. Particularly for hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs), construction of geometrical cavities through secondary units has been rarely achieved. Herein, a body-centered cubic HOF (TCA_NH4) with octahedral cages was constructed by a C3-symmetric building block and NH4 + node-assembled cluster (NH4)4(COOH)8(H2O)2 that served as supramolecular secondary building units (SSBUs), akin to the polynuclear SBUs in reticular chemistry. Specifically, the octahedral cages could encapsulate four homogenous haloforms including CHCl3, CHBr3, and CHI3 with truncated octahedron configuration. Crystallographic evidence revealed the cages served as spatially-confined nanoreactors, enabling fast, broadband photochromic effect associated with the reversible photo/thermal transformation between encapsulated CHI3 and I2. Overall, this work provides a strategy by shaping SSBUs to expand the framework topology of HOFs and a prototype of hydrogen-bonded nanoreactors to accommodate reversible photochromic reactions.

3D concrete printing technology has enabled the construction of full-scale bridges. However, structural carbon emissions due to higher cement content and limitations of embedded reinforcement have limited its widespread adoption. This paper presents a non-reinforced 3D printed concrete box arch bridge and describes its design, construction, dismantlement, and reconstruction, as well as evaluation of the carrying capacity of reconstructed primary arch ring. The bridge adheres to current technical principles and bridge engineering specifications. By taking into account the mechanical anisotropy and primary stress characteristics of the arch, the design negates the need for reinforcement. The study showcases the reusability and potential carbon emission reduction through block printing, on-site assembly, block removal, and secondary usage. The safety of the reconstructed arch bridge was confirmed through an in-situ load test.

Developing advanced sorbents for selective carbon dioxide (CO2) sequestration with minimal energy consumption remains a pivotal challenge. This study presents a novel strategy through transforming 3D bulk zirconium-porphyrin frameworks into the corresponding 2D nanosheet-assembled superstructures for enhanced CO2 capture. The hierarchical frameworks with well-organized nanosheet architectures exhibit significantly increased specific surface area from 600 m2/g to 2400 m2/g while providing kinetic benefits for gas diffusion. Compared to the adsorption behavior of the bulk counterparts, the nanosheet-assembled frameworks demonstrate a 1.5-fold increase in CO2 adsorption capacity without compromising CO2/N2 selectivity. Theoretical calculation reveals that the coordination unsaturated Zr-O clusters, electron delocalized environments both in interlayer gaps and micropores provided binding sites for CO2 capture. Our research demonstrates an adaptable structure-directed approach for the crystal engineering of metal-organic frameworks which would inspire the creation of state-of-the-art crystalline porous materials for broadened applications.

Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri is a quarantine organism causing citrus bacterial canker in many countries. Sharing research materials worldwide became difficult due to local administrative regulations, which hindered the continuity of studies on this disease. Here, we report a complete genome sequence of X. citri subsp. citri strain CQ13 achieved using a combination of Illumina and Nanopore platforms. The CQ13 genome comprises a circular chromosome (5,142,501 bp; G + C content 64.83%) and two circular plasmids, pXAC33 and pXAC64 (34,102 bp and 64,942 bp; G + C content 61.96 and 61.41%, respectively). Annotation revealed 4,243 protein-coding sequences, six rRNA genes, 53 tRNA genes, 40 ncRNA genes, and 168 pseudogenes. Notably, the analyses of average nucleotide identity, host range, pathogenicity, and type III effector repertoire suggest that CQ13 is particularly closely related to the current model strain 306. Therefore, strain CQ13 could serve as an alternative model strain, and its genome sequence could provide a valuable resource for citrus canker research in China. In a previous study, we used diffusing wave spectroscopy (DWS) to investigate the aging signatures of a thermo-sensitive colloidal glass and compared them with those of molecular glasses from the perspective of the Kovacs temperature-jump, volume recovery experiments [X. Di, K. Z. Win, G. B. McKenna, T. Narita, F. Lequeux, S. R. Pullela, and Z. Cheng, Phys. Rev. Lett. 106, 095701 (2011)]. In order to further look into the glassy behavior of colloidal systems, we have synthesized a new core/shell particle with lower temperature sensitivity and studied the aging signatures of concentrated systems, again following Kovacs' protocol. Similar signatures of aging to those observed previously were seen in this new system. Moreover, a systematic study of the temperature dependence of the dynamics of the new system for different weight concentrations was performed and the dynamic fragility index m was determined. We have also explored the use of the properties determined from the DWS measurements to obtain macroscopic rheological parameters - storage modulus G'(ω) and loss modulus G"(ω) - using a generalized Stokes-Einstein approach. Traditional Chinese philosophy has always paid much attention to the cultivation of one’s body and mind, speeches and behaviors. The contemporary rise of philosophical practice, especially in the context of philosophical counseling, presents an opportunity to integrate the rich legacy of Confucian self-cultivation. This paper endeavors to delineate the practical applications of Confucian principles in philosophical counseling, with special emphasis on the actionable concepts of “gongfu” and “jingjie” and their synthesis in the “unity of knowledge and action”. Through a series of illustrative examples and proposed session outlines, we offer a vivid portrayal of how Confucian thought can be operationalized within a counseling framework to address the existential and ethical dilemmas faced by individuals in ancient and modern times. We argue that the nuanced understanding and practical implementation of these Confucian concepts can significantly enhance the efficacy of philosophical counseling. Additionally, we outline the requisite qualifications for becoming a Confucian philosophical counselor, suggesting a certification process that ensures counselors are both philosophically adept and exemplars of moral cultivation. Thus, this paper not only expounds on the theoretical underpinnings of Confucian thought in philosophical practice but also provides a clear blueprint for its application in contemporary settings.

Aloe viscose fiber is rich in a variety of active ingredients, with excellent moisturizing and antibacterial properties, and gradually widely used in clothing production. Abstract Background Cellular dedifferentiation is a regenerative prerequisite that warrants cell cycle reentry and appropriate mitotic division during de novo formation of cardiomyocytes. In the light of our previous finding that expression of injury-responsive element, Wilms Tumor factor 1 (WT1), in pericardial adipose stromal cells (ADSC) conferred a compelling reparative activity with concomitant IL-6 upregulation, we then aim to unravel the mechanistic network that governs the process of regenerative dedifferentiation after ADSC-based therapy. Methods and results WT1-expressing ADSC (eGFP:WT1) were irreversibly labeled in transgenic mice (WT1-iCre/Gt(ROSA)26Sor-eGFP) primed with myocardial infarction. EGFP:WT1 cells were enzymatically isolated from the pericardial adipose tissue and cytometrically purified (ADSCgfp+). Bulk RNA-seq revealed upregulation of cardiac-related genes and trophic factors in ADSCgfp+ subset, of which IL-6 was most abundant as compared to non-WT1 ADSC (ADSCgfp−). Injection of ADSCgfp+ subset into the infarcted hearts yielded striking structural repair and functional improvement in comparison to ADSCgfp− subset. Notably, ADSCgfp+ injection triggered significant quantity of dedifferentiated cardiomyocytes recognized as round-sharp, marginalization of sarcomeric proteins, expression of molecular signature of non-myogenic genes (Vimentin, RunX1), and proliferative markers (Ki-67, Aurora B and pH3). In the cultured neonatal cardiomyocytes, spontaneous dedifferentiation was accelerated by adding tissue extracts from the ADSC-treated hearts, which was neutralized by IL-6 antibody. Genetical lack of IL-6 in ADSC dampened cardiac dedifferentiation and reparative activity. Conclusions Taken collectively, our results revealed a previous unappreciated effect of IL-6 on cardiac dedifferentiation and regeneration. The finding, therefore, fulfills the promise of stem cell therapy and may represent an innovative strategy in the treatment of ischemic heart disease.

The fluid flow behavior, generally referred to as seepage, could determine the hydrocarbon and brine movement behavior. Movable fluid property, as one of the vital parameters for seepage characteristic evaluation, was generally used for tight oil reservoirs’ fluid flow ability assessment. The nuclear magnetic resonance technique was used to experiment with movable fluid percentage and movable fluid porosity, which can provide a realistic assessment of the amount of fluid that can flow in the porous media. Other techniques were also used to analyze the main factors in regulating the differences in movable fluid parameters. However, the research about fluid flow behavior was generally based on traditional methods, while the seepage characteristics from the pore-scale view are still a myth. To promote this process, in this study, core samples obtained from the Chang 7 reservoir of the Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Longdong region of Ordos Basin, China, were tested. The results show that the average movable fluid percentage and average movable fluid porosity of the total 16 core samples are 36.01% and 2.77%, respectively. The movable fluid exists mainly in the midlarge pores with the corresponding T2 relaxation time over 10 ms. T2 distributions mainly present four typical patterns: (1) bimodal distribution with similar amplitudes of the two peaks (occupying 6.25%), (2) bimodal distribution with higher right peak and lower left peak (occupying 18.75%), (3) bimodal distribution with higher left peak and lower right peak (occupying 56.25%), and (4) unimodal distribution (occupying 18.75%). Pore structure heterogeneity is closely related to the movable fluid parameters; the movable fluid parameters exhibit a relatively good correlation with core throat radius as well as permeability. There is an obvious difference between the movable fluid parameters and the microscopic characteristic factors in tight oil reservoirs due to the difference in physical properties, clay mineral content, microcracks, and pore structure characteristics. This research has provided a new perspective for the movable fluid property evaluation, and the relevant results can give some advice for the oil field development.

As for the tight sandstones, pore-scale fluid flow ability is one of the most fundamental parameters that determine potential development capacity when compared to conventional reservoirs due to relatively tiny spaces. The determination of pore-throat structures and their impact on fluid flow behavior could improve the forecast ability for development. Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is to study the effects of differences in microscopic pore structures on moveable fluid saturation in tight sandstone reservoirs. Casting thin sections (CTS), scanning electron microscope (SEM), constant-rate mercury injection (CRMI), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), etc. are used as experimental methods to qualitatively describe the differences in accumulation space types and to quantitatively compare and analyze the differences in microscopic pore structures between reservoirs for Chang 6 formation in the Jiyuan and Heshui areas. The different characteristic parameters are chosen to analyze their correlations with moveable fluid saturation. Thus, as a result, due to good correlations with moveable fluid saturation, parameters such as throat radius, pore-throat radius ratio, and pore-throat amount allocation ratio are chosen to characterize the differences in microscopic pore structures between reservoirs in those areas. Differences in throat radius, pore-throat radius ratio, and a pore-throat amount allocation ratio of microscopic pore structure of Chang 6 members in these two areas have led to differences in moveable fluid saturation to some extent. This research provided the evidence about the coupling law between pore-scale fluid flow capacity and pore-throat configuration in tight sandstone reservoirs, and the results can provide theoretical guidance for field development of oil and gas fields.

The accumulation of multiple source components leads to the superposition of multiple pore throat systems and similar pore throat distribution may correspond to different seepage capacity in the mixed rock reservoir. Taking the mixed rock reservoir of III+IV oil formation in Nanyishan Oilfield, Chaidamu Basin, as an example, the development characteristics of pore throat system and its controlling factors in the mixed rock were summarized by means of thin slice, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and high pressure mercury injection, and the reservoir physical property differences and their genetic controlling mechanism were analyzed. The results show that the reservoir space of the mixed reservoir mainly consists of intergranular pore fracture, micropore fracture, and micropore-dissolution pore. The diverse and complex pore types make the reservoir space combination type, capillary pressure curve shape and reservoir physical properties are not completely corresponding. The higher the content of brittle minerals, the higher the reservoir permeability. However, the development of iron dolomite mainly destroys the reservoir. The permeability of reservoir is mainly controlled by the development degree of macropores and the pore size which is the main contribution to permeability, and the proportion of macropores increases with the increase of permeability.

BackgroundForkhead Box Protein C2 (FOXC2) belongs to the Forkhead/Wing-helix family. The regulatory role of this transcription factor in physiological function and carcinogenic activity has been proven in subsequent investigations. However, there is still scarcity of evidence on the relationship between FOXC2 expression and prognosis in human solid tumors. We conducted this meta-analysis to evaluate the role of FOXC2 as a prognosis factor and a possible target marker in human solid tumors.MethodsPubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and the Cochrane library database were all searched methodically. Eligible publications on FOXC2 in human solid tumors were gathered and reviewed. The effect sizes were calculated using pooled hazard ratios (HRs) or odds ratios (ORs) with the corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI). Statistical analysis was conducted with Stata SE12.0.ResultsThis meta-analysis comprised 3,267 patients from 20 studies covering a variety of solid tumors. Increased FOXC2 expression was related to shorter overall survival (OS) (HR = 2.05, 95% CI: 1.73–2.42). High expression of FOXC2 is associated with lymph node metastases (OR = 3.33, 95% CI: 2.65–4.19), TNM stage (OR = 3.09, 95% CI: 2.00–4.78), and age (OR = 1.26, 95% CI: 1.06–1.50), according to the pooled ORs. However, no significant association was observed between the high expression of FOXC2 and sex, tumor size or tumor differentiation.ConclusionIncreased expression of FOXC2 is associated with unfavored OS, lymph node metastases, TNM stage, and age. FOXC2 is a promising prognostic marker and a novel target marker in human solid tumors.

In order to achieve the effective computer recognition of the She ethnic clothing from different regions through the extraction of color features, this paper proposes a She ethnic clothing classification method based on the Flower Pollination Algorithm-optimized color feature fusion and Convolutional Neural Network (FPA-CNN). The method consists of three main steps: color feature fusion, FPA optimization, and CNN classification. In the first step, a color histogram and color moment features, which can represent regional differences in She ethnic clothing, are extracted. Subsequently, FPA is used to perform optimal weight fusion, obtaining an optimized ratio. Kernel principal component analysis is then applied to reduce the dimensionality of the fused features, and a CNN is constructed to classify the She ethnic clothing from different regions based on the reduced fused features. The results show that the FPA-CNN method can effectively classify the She ethnic clothing from different regions, achieving an average classification accuracy of 98.38%. Compared to SVM, BP, RNN, and RBF models, the proposed method improves the accuracy by 11.49%, 7.7%, 6.49%, and 3.92%, respectively. This research provides a reference and guidance for the effective recognition of clothing through the extraction of color features.

To evaluate the climate variation of drought and its possible effect on summer maize in the Huaihe River basin, we have used the five General Circulation Models (GCMs) from the fifth coupling model comparison scheme (CMIP5) and the diurnal temperature and precipitation data under three representative concentration pathways (RCPs) to calculate the frequency of drought beyond the different disaster-causing thresholds based on the historic disaster losses. Combined with the vulnerability and exposure of hazard-affected bodies, we have established a regional disaster drought risk evaluation model, and conducted a risk estimation to the choking drought disaster occurred in heading-milking period of summer maize in the Huaihe River basin in the near term (2020-2039), medium term (2040-2069) and long term (2070-2099) in the 21st century. The results show that the five GCMs have good ability in simulating temperature and precipitation in the Huaihe River basin, especially temperature. The heading-milking period (critical period of water sensitivity) of summer maize will be ahead of schedule, and the growth period will be shortened. It is estimated that the inter-annual change of the choking drought days in the heading-milking periods of summer maize in the Huaihe River basin is large in the future. Linear change trends of the choking drought days of summer maize are not significant under RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 scenarios, although this linear increased trend is significant under RCP6.0 scenarios. Affected by the disaster-causing factors and the hazard affected bodies, the inter-annual fluctuation of choking drought risk of summer maize in Huaihe River basin will be large in the future. The overall drought risk will increase compared to the base period. In terms of different periods, the risk of drought disaster can be the lowest in the medium term, the second in the near future, and the highest in the long term. The choking drought risk in the different scenarios increases from low to high emissions. It is estimated that the risk of drought disaster of summer maize has an obvious spatial difference, and the drought risk in the western and northern parts in the Huaihe River basin can be higher than those in the eastern and southern parts.

Algal bloom (AB) is a serious water environment problem in China, but it is still unclear how AB affects microorganisms with special functions (such as nitrogen-, phosphorus-, sulfur- and iron-related bacteria) at different AB stages. Samples of water and sediment were taken in the AB region and free algal bloom (FAB) region of Chaohu Lake at different AB stages, and the numbers of N-, P-, S- and Fe-related bacteria were determined by culture-dependent methods. Results showed that during the whole experiment, numbers of N-, P-, S-, and Fe-related bacteria in the AB region were significantly higher than those in the FAB region, especially at the AB outbreak stage. In the FAB region, numbers of above bacteria showed little variation with time. In the AB region, however, numbers of N-, S-, and Fe-related bacteria evidently changed as ‘Λ’-type with AB process. They presented an upward trend at the AB formation stage and the initial stage of AB outbreak, and then showed a downward trend. Numbers of P-related bacteria also showed a similar trend as the above bacteria, but they kept high level for long time at the AB outbreak stage. This study indicated that AB produced different effects on microorganisms with special functions at different AB stages.

The interaction of fields with condensed matter during phase transitions produces a rich variety of physical phenomena. Self-assembly of liquid crystalline block copolymers (LC BCPs) in the presence of a magnetic field, for example, can result in highly oriented microstructures due to the LC BCP's anisotropic magnetic susceptibility. We show that such oriented mesophases can be produced using low-intensity fields (<0.5 T) that are accessible using permanent magnets, in contrast to the high fields (>4 T) and superconducting magnets required to date. Low-intensity field alignment is enabled by the addition of labile mesogens that coassemble with the system's nematic and smectic A mesophases. The alignment saturation field strength and alignment kinetics have pronounced dependences on the free mesogen concentration. Highly aligned states with orientation distribution coefficients close to unity were obtained at fields as small as 0.2 T. This remarkable field response originates in an enhancement of alignment kinetics due to a reduction in viscosity, and increased magnetostatic energy due to increases in grain size, in the presence of labile mesogens. These developments provide routes for controlling structural order in BCPs, including the possibility of producing nontrivial textures and patterns of alignment by locally screening fields using magnetic nanoparticles. Background/purpose: Based on ‘pressure-tension theory’, the application of orthodontic force to the tooth site affects the remodeling of periodontal tissue, specifically, mechanical stress induces the release of cytokines. The purpose of this research paper is to examine death receptor 3/TNF-like protein 1A/progranulin (DR3/TL1A/PGRN) expression levels in periodontium tissue during orthodontic tooth movement in rats. Materials and methods: Thirty-six ten-week-old male SD rats were used in this study. A total of 20 cN of orthodontic force was exerted by coil springs onto the upper right first molars in order for mesialization purposes. All rat members of their corresponding groups were euthanized based on the following time intervals: 0 day for the control group, 1 day (group two), 3 days (group three), 5 days (group four), 7 days (group five), and lastly 14 days for group six. The effects of DR3/TL1A/PGRN were observed through the use of immunohistochemical staining techniques. One-way analysis of variance followed by a LSD t-test was performed by SPSS 20 to compare the differences of the level of DR3/TL1A/PGRN amongst each specified time interval. Results: The expression levels of DR3/PGRN increased significantly on day 14 compared to that of the control group, thus indicating a wide range of statistical differences. The expression levels of TL1A soared upwards on day 1, then plunged to an all-time low on day 7 before finally bouncing back to its initial value on day14. Conclusion: DR3 and its two ligands—PGRN and TL1A play indispensable roles in regulating periodontal ligament remodeling during orthodontic tooth movement.

Abstract Background Peri-implantitis is an inflammation that occurs around the implant, resulting in varying degrees of inflammatory damage to the soft and hard tissues. The characteristic criterion is the loss of the supporting bone in an inflammatory environment. However, the specific mechanisms and biomarkers involved in peri-implantitis remain to be further studied. Recently, competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNA) and immune microenvironment have been found to play a more important role in the inflammatory process. In our study, we analyzed the expression of immune related microRNAs (miRNAs), long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and message RNAs (mRNAs) in peri-implantitis by analyzing GSE33774 and GSE57631. Methods In this study, we explored the expression profile data of immune-related lncRNAs, miRNAs and mRNAs, and constructed immune-related ceRNA network involved in the pathogenesis of peri-implantitis. In addition, the CIBERSORT was used to evaluate the content of immune cells in normal tissues and peri-implantitis to detect the immune microenvironment of peri-implantitis. Results In the analysis, 14 DElncRNAs, 16 DEmiRNAs, and 18 DEmRNAs were used to establish an immune related ceRNA network and the immune infiltration patterns associated with peri-implantitis was discovered. Through the mutual verification of the two datasets, we found that GSK3B and miR-1297 may have important significance in the immune microenvironment and pathogenesis of peri-implantitis and GSK3B was closely related to four types of immune cells, especially with the highest correlation with resting mast cells (P = 0.0003). Conclusions Through immune-related ceRNA network, immune-related genes (IRGs) and immune cell infiltration can further comprehensively understand the pathogenesis of peri-implantitis, which built up an immunogenomic landscape with clinical significance for peri-implantitis.

All stages of oil and gas exploration and development involve the study of in-situ stress. Since the traditional two-dimensional and three-dimensional homogeneous models can no longer fulfil the requirements of research and production, numerical simulation of the stress field has become an effective study method. In this study, we took the Jia 2 member in Puguang area as a case to establish a geological model and a mechanical model based on the tectonic framework and the distribution characteristics of the rock mechanical parameters, respectively, and loaded the model with the present-day in-situ stress state calculated from the logging data as the boundary conditions. The simulation results show that 1) the orientation of the maximum horizontal principal stress in the study area is near E-W, and the in-situ stress orientation is locally deflected due to the influence of faults; and 2) the magnitude of in-situ stress is predominantly affected by the burial depth and lithology, and the minimum horizontal principal stress, maximum horizontal principal stress, and differential stress are mainly concentrated in the ranges of 30–60, 50–80, and 10–40 MPa, respectively. We also analysed the opening sequence of the multiple fracture systems during development, using the present-day stress field model. The analysis revealed that the E-W fractures will open first, and the continuously increasing operating pressure will lead to formation breakdown, producing a fracture network.
