To prepare a single-photon molecular probe easily labeled with 99mTc for evaluating the expression status of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) receptor in ovarian cancer.The HEHEHE tag was added to the amino terminus of the affibody ZHER2:V2 by the method of gene recombinant expression, and a new affibody was synthesized which was easy to be labeled with 99mTc. The newly prepared affibody was labeled with 99mTc, and pharmacokinetic studies were carried out.A new affibody (HE)3ZHER2:V2 was prepared by the method of gene recombination and expression, which is easy to be labeled with 99mTc. The 99mTc labeling of the affibody can reach about 95% at 90°C. The pharmacokinetic study has shown that the 99mTc-labeled molecular probe has a fast clearance time in the blood and little side effect, which may be a promising single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging agent.The affibody (HE)3ZHER2:V2 is easy to be labeled with 99mTc, has a high yield and has a suitable half-life in vivo, which is suitable for the next step in ovarian cancer model imaging research.

A new reinforcing strategy for thermoplastics via hydrogen bonding bridged inorganics in the matrix was proposed. The hydrogen bonds could be formed in thermoplastics matrices with the incorporation of a little organics containing hydrogen bonding functionalities. Isotactic polypropylene (PP), polyamide 6 (PA 6), and high density polyethylene (HDPE), together with specific inorganics and organics were utilized to verify the effectiveness of the strategy. The investigations suggest that the hydrogen bonding bridged inorganics led to substantially increased flexural properties. The results of attenuated total refraction Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS) indicate the formation of hydrogen bonding among the inorganics and organics in the composites.

A naturally occurred microtubullar silicate, halloysite nanotubes (HNTs), was co-cured with epoxy/cyanate ester resin to form organic–inorganic hybrids. The coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of the hybrids with low HNT concentration was found to be substantially lower than that of the plain cured resin. The moduli of the hybrids in the glassy state and rubbery state were significantly higher than those for the plain cured resin. The dispersion of HNTs in the resin matrix was very uniform as revealed by the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results. The interfacial reactions between the HNTs and cyanate ester (CE) were revealed by the results of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The substantially increased properties of the hybrids were attributed to the covalent bonding between the nanotubes and the matrix.

Halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) were utilized to prepare polypropylene (PP) nanocomposites by simple melt-compounding approach. Compared with other silicates such as montmorillonite and kaolinite, HNTs show much better dispersion property. The PP nanocomposites with HNTs exhibit concurrence increase in tensile and flexural strength, flexural modulus and impact toughness. Surface modification of HNTs lends the PP nanocomposites higher strength, modulus and lower toughness. The increase in mechanical properties is correlated with the well dispersion of the high aspect ratio HNTs and the orientation of HNTs in PP matrix. Morphology studies show that HNTs can be dispersed in PP uniformly at lower HNTs loading and excessive loading of HNTs causes a little aggregation. Surface modification of HNTs can alleviate the aggregation effectively. The storage modulus of the nanocomposites increases consistently with the HNTs concentration. The surface modification is beneficial to the further improvement in storage modulus. Similar to other silicates, HNTs facilitate the crystallization of PP due to the heterogeneous nucleation
