Chlorinated polyethylene （CPE) flame retardant composites were prepared with CPE as the matrix material and sepiolite as flame retardant, and the effects of the addition amount of sepiolite on cu-ring characteristics, physical and mechanical properties, and flame retardance were studied. The results showed that with the increase in the addition amount of sepiolite, tensile strength, tear strength, modulus at 100%, modulus at 300%, and Shore A hardness of the composites increased significantly; the addition of sepiolite improved limiting oxygen index of the CPE flame retardant composites, reduced the maximum heat release rate and total heat release during combustion of the composites, prolonged the ignition time of the composites, reduced the absolute content of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxode, and decreased the smoke emission.

Abstract The contamination and quantification of soil potentially toxic elements (PTEs) contamination sources and the determination of driving factors are the premise of soil contamination control. In our study, 788 soil samples from the National Agricultural Park in Chengdu, Sichuan Province were used to evaluate the contamination degree of soil PTEs by pollution factors and pollution load index. The source identification of soil PTEs was performed using positive matrix decomposition (PMF), edge analysis (UNMIX) and absolute principal component score-multiple line regression (APCS-MLR). The geo-detector method (GDM) was used to analysis drivers of soil PTEs pollution sources to help interpret pollution sources derived from receptor models. Result shows that soil Cu, Pb, Zn, Cr, Ni, Cd, As and Hg average content were 35.2, 32.3, 108.9, 91.9, 37.1, 0.22, 9.76 and 0.15 mg/kg in this study area. Except for As, all are higher than the corresponding soil background values in Sichuan Province. The best performance of APCS-MLR was determined by comparison, and APCS-MLR was considered as the preferred receptor model for soil PTEs source distribution in the study area. ACPS-MLR results showed that 82.70% of Cu, 61.6% of Pb, 75.3% of Zn, 91.9% of Cr and 89.4% of Ni came from traffic-industrial emission sources, 60.9% of Hg came from domestic-transportation emission sources, 57.7% of Cd came from agricultural sources, and 89.5% of As came from natural sources. The GDM results showed that distance from first grade highway, population, land utilization and total potassium (TK) content were the main driving factors affecting these four sources, with q values of 0.064, 0.048, 0.069 and 0.058, respectively. The results can provide reference for reducing PTEs contamination in farmland soil.

Background Gastric cancer (GC) is the fourth leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide. Peritoneal metastasis (PM) is a significant cause of death in patients with GC, and presents a major challenge in clinical diagnosis and treatment. Predicting the occurrence of PM in high-risk patients, and diagnosing and treating PM in advance to improve patient survival, remains an unsolved problem in clinical practice. Given the low positive rate of cytology and difficulty in diagnosing occult PM, new molecular markers and detection technologies for early diagnosis require urgent validation. The primary objective of this study is to observe and evaluate the predictive effect of intraoperative peritoneal lavage fluid (PLF) circulating tumour cells (CTC) and circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) levels in patients with pT4NxM0/pT1-3N+M0 GC on metachronous PM after R0 resection.Methods and analysis This prospective single-centre clinical study is conducted at Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. In this study, 200 cases of patients with pT4NxM0/pT1-3N+M0 gastric adenocarcinoma older than 18 years will be screened. Participants will undergo intraoperative PLF CTC and ctDNA testing and will be followed up for 2 years, with imaging assessments performed every 3–6 months until PM occurrs. The primary outcome is the incidence of PM 1 year after surgery, which will be estimated using Clopper-Pearson method, with 95% CIs calculated and compared between groups. Secondary outcome include the incidence of PM 2 years after surgery, overall survival and disease progression. Data will be analysed using the Kaplan-Meier method and the log-rank test.Ethics and communication Informed consent has been obtained from all subjects. This protocol has been approved by the Ethics Committee of Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (LY2023-142-B). The findings will be disseminated through peer-reviewed manuscripts, reports and presentations.Trial registration number ChiCTR2300074910.

Live streaming is revolutionizing the landscape of e-commerce, creating new opportunities for platforms and e-tailers to improve their performance. However, little is known about the underlying mechanisms that shape consumer behavior in this burgeoning business phenomenon. This study aims to shed light on the relationships between environmental cues generated by live streaming and online impulse buying. Drawing upon the Stimulus-Organism-Response framework, a comprehensive model was formulated to explore how social cues (streamer interaction, peer interaction) and media cues (vividness, realness) impact pleasure, arousal, perceived uncertainty, and subsequently induce consumers’ urge to buy impulsively. The model was tested by survey data from 403 consumers. SPSS and PLS are employed to verify the model. The findings revealed that realness and streamer interaction can reduce perceived uncertainty and foster a pleasant consumer experience, while vividness and peer interaction serve to awaken and delight consumers. Pleasure, arousal, and perceived uncertainty mediate antecedent variables’ effects on urge to buy impulsively in a parallel and reverse way, and emotions exert a more powerful influence. This study enriched the research on the influence mechanisms of impulse buying driven by live streaming and provided suggestions for platforms and streamers to optimize product display and guide interaction, which is conducive to leveraging the advantages of live streaming and creating greater commercial value.

Igneous rock oil and gas reservoir has gradually become an important type of oil and gas reservoir, but the igneous rock reservoir is highly heterogeneous, the reservoir property varies greatly, and the study of reservoir genetic mechanism is unsubstantial, which has become the main bottleneck of igneous rock reservoir evaluation. Taking the intrusive rocks in the second member of Paleogene Funing Formation in the Qintong Sag, Subei Basin as the research object, through systematic core observation, thin section identification, electron probe analysis and testing and logging interpretation, the lithologic and lithofacies characteristics, reservoir characteristics and main controlling factors of reservoir development of the intrusive rocks in the second member of Funing Formation in well Shaduo 1 in the Qintong Sag were analyzed. The results show that the lithology of the intrusive rocks varies remarkably longitudinally, and the intrusive rock body is composed of multiphase intrusive rock, with diabase on the top, pyroxene monzonite in the middle and olivine gabbro at the bottom. The development of porosity varies, with diabase and pyroxene monzonite exhibiting low porosity, while olivine gabbro showing relatively higher porosity. Due to the superimposition of multiple intrusions and hydrothermal alteration, good reservoir spaces are formed, with predominant pore types being dissolution pores and structural fractures, accompanied by the development of shrinkage fractures. The main factors affecting the reservoir physical properties are lithology and hydrothermal fluid activity. Among them, dark minerals such as pyroxene in olivine gabbro are most easily altered, so dissolution pores are highly developed. Additionally, regional fault structures generate numerous structural fractures in many dense igneous rocks, effectively connecting the pore-fracture system of intrusive rock reservoir and providing channels through which magmatic hydrothermal fluids flow in the subsequent dissolution processes. Generally, the overall oil-bearing potential of the intrusive rocks encountered in well Shaduo 1 is poor. Sporadic fluorescence is observed in the lower intrusive rock layers, while the upper intrusive rock layers are essentially devoid of oil.

AIM: To analyze the current status, hotspots and trends of studies on the treatments of diabetic retinopathy.METHODS: Relevant literatures on diabetic retinopathy in Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and Web of Science core collection database were retrieved from creation to June 15, 2023, and CiteSpace 6.2.R2 and VOSviewer were used to conduct visualized analysis with the country/issuing institution, research author and keywords.RESULTS: A total of 5 919 Chinese literatures and 11 475 English literatures were included. The top three countries with global publications are the United States, China and the United Kingdom, respectively. The top three institutions for issuing articles at abroad are Harvard Medical School, Harvard University and Johns Hopkins University, while the top three institutions for issuing articles in China are the Eye Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Science, Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, and Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center of Sun Yat-sen University. The research results of high-frequency keywords in both Chinese and English show that the laser photocoagulation, vitrectomy, traditional Chinese medicine therapy, vascular endothelial growth factor and ranibizumab are research hotspots.CONCLUSIONS: In recent years, the research hotspots of diabetic retinopathy mainly focus on surgery, vascular protective agents, traditional Chinese medicine therapy, anti-vascular endothelial growth factor, etc., and the research trend mainly focuses on anti-vascular endothelial growth factor drugs.

Abstract Background The efficacy of washed microbiota transplantation (WMT) in terms of refractory functional constipation (FC)-related therapeutic targets and influencing factors have not been elucidated. This study aimed to assess the efficacy and influencing factors of WMT in treating refractory FC-related therapeutic targets. Methods The clinical data of patients diagnosed with refractory FC and received with WMT were retrospectively collected. The therapeutic targets included straining, hard stools, incomplete evacuation, a sense of anorectal obstruction, manual maneuvers, and decreased stool frequency. Each target was recorded as 1 (yes) or 0 (no). All patients were followed up for approximately 24 weeks from the end of the first course of WMT. The primary outcomes were the improvement rates for the individual therapeutic targets and the overall response in respect of the therapeutic targets decreased by 2 at weeks 4, 8, and 24. The secondary outcomes were the clinical remission rate (i.e., the proportion of patients with an average of 3 or more spontaneous complete bowel movements per week), clinical improvement rate (i.e., the proportion of patients with an average increase of 1 or more SCBMs/week or patients with remission), stool frequency, Wexner constipation score, Bristol Stool Form Scale (BSFS) score, and adverse events. The factors influencing the efficacy were also analyzed. Results Overall, 63 patients with 112 WMT courses were enrolled. The improvement rates at weeks 8 and 24 were 45.6% and 35.0%, 42.9% and 38.6%, 45.0% and 35.7%, 55.6% and 44.4%, and 60.9% and 50.0%, respectively, for straining, hard stools, incomplete evacuation, a sense of anorectal obstruction, and decreased stool frequency. The overall response rates were 49.2%, 50.8%, and 42.9%, respectively, at weeks 4, 8, and 24. The rates of clinical remission and clinical improvement were 54.0% and 68.3%, respectively, at weeks 4. The stool frequency, BSFS score, and Wexner constipation score tended to improve post-WMT. Only 22 mild adverse events were observed during the 112 WMT courses and the follow-up. The number of WMT courses was identified to be the independent factor influencing the efficacy. Conclusions WMT is efficacious in improving refractory FC-related therapeutic targets. The effectiveness of WMT in the management of FC is enhanced with the administration of multiple courses.

A typical blasting vibration wave is a composite wave, and its attenuation law is affected by the type of dominant wave component. The purpose of the present study is to establish an attenuation equation of the peak particle velocity (PPV), taking into account the attenuation characteristics of P-, S- and R-waves in the blasting vibration wave. Field blasting tests were carried out as a case to specifically apply the proposed equation. In view of the fact that the discrete properties of rock mass will inevitably cause the uncertainty of blasting vibration, we also carried out a probability analysis of PPV uncertainty, and introduced the concept of reliability to evaluate blasting vibration. The results showed that the established attenuation equation had a higher prediction accuracy, and can be considered as a promising equation implemented on more complex sites. The adopted uncertainty analysis method can comprehensively take account of the attenuation law of blasting vibration measured on site and discrete properties of rock masses. The obtained distribution of the PPV uncertainty factor can quantitatively evaluate the reliability of blasting vibration, which is a powerful and necessary supplement to the PPV attenuation equation.

The current assessment of the distributed generation (DG) supply carrying capacity accessed in the distribution network does not involve the effect of soft open point (SOP). Given this gap, a method is proposed to calculate the carrying of distributed generation accessed in the distribution power network considering the closed-loop point mode between SOP feeders. Firstly, the closed-loop feeder point mode of SOP in the distribution power network was analyzed, after which the function mode of SOP was proposed. Secondly, the reconfiguration of switches and the power flow regulation of SOP were considered and utilized to analyze the maximum DG acceptance capacity of the distribution network under various regulation means. The results showed that the acceptance of the distribution power network to DG is improved by 35.8% after considering the optimization means.

Abstract Objectives Regulatory T (Treg) cells regulate immunity in autoimmune diseases and cancers. However, immunotherapies that target tumor‐infiltrating Treg cells often induce unwanted immune responses and tissue inflammation. Our research focussed on exploring the expression pattern of CD177 in tumor‐infiltrating Treg cells with the aim of identifying a potential target that can enhance immunotherapy effectiveness. Methods Single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) data and survival data were obtained from public databases. Twenty‐one colorectal cancer patient samples, including fresh tumor tissues, peritumoral tissues and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), were analysed using flow cytometry. The transendothelial activity of CD177+ Treg cells was substantiated using in vitro experiments. Results ScRNA‐seq and flow cytometry results indicated that CD177 was exclusively expressed in intratumoral Treg cells. CD177+ Treg cells exhibited greater activation status and expressed elevated Treg cell canonical markers and immune checkpoint molecules than CD177− Treg cells. We further discovered that both intratumoral CD177+ Treg cells and CD177‐overexpressing induced Treg (iTreg) cells had lower levels of PD‐1 than their CD177− counterparts. Moreover, CD177 overexpression significantly enhanced the transendothelial migration of Treg cells in vitro. Conclusions These results demonstrated that Treg cells with higher CD177 levels exhibited an enhanced activation status and transendothelial migration capacity. Our findings suggest that CD177 may serve as an immunotherapeutic target and that overexpression of CD177 may improve the efficacy of chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR‐T) cell therapy.

The spatial variability of river hydrochemistry in coal-grain composite areas is influenced by natural processes and human activities. However, there is little information thus far on the hydrochemical characteristics of river water and the spatial variability in coal–grain composite areas under the influence of multiple superimposed effects. In this study, river water samples (n = 31) were collected in a coal-grain composite area in the northern plain of Anhui Province (China). The main hydrochemical ions and stable isotopes (δ2H-H2O, δ18O-H2O, δ34S-SO42- and δ18O-SO42-) were then investigated. The objective was to analyze the spatial characteristics and controlling indicators of the main hydrochemical ions via multivariate statistical and isotope analysis methods. The values of δ34S-SO42- and δ18O-SO42- in river water ranged from 7.5 ‰ to 17.5 ‰ and from 4.4 ‰ to 10.7 ‰, respectively. According to the clustering analysis method, the river water samples were divided into two groups. Bayesian mixed model analysis indicated that the sources of SO42- in river water mainly included soil sulfate and mine drainage, with contribution proportions of 74.0 ± 3.1 % and 18.4 ± 4.1 % in River Group I, respectively, and 77.2 ± 3.0 % and 11.1 ± 5.1 % in River Group II, respectively. These results suggested that the controlling indicators of the spatial distribution characteristics of river hydrochemistry were natural processes (water–rock interactions) and human activities (coal mining, manure release and sewage discharge). The results could provide valuable information for regional water resource management, development, and similar coal–grain composite areas elsewhere.

This research examines whether different disciplinary backgrounds influence the development of design students’ visual literacy. A compulsory first-year course in Chinese design degree programmes was selected for this research, as such a course is designed to develop students’ spatial literacy and visual expression during the discovery design process phase and to facilitate the development of students’ cognitive skills in defining and solving problems. An analysis of 16 students’ assignments from eight universities indicates that students’ disciplinary backgrounds play an important role in the development of their cognition performance related to visual literacy. The results indicate that the disciplinary subject background (i.e. arts or engineering) is an important factor affecting the development of students’ design literacy, specifically their spatial visual cognitive and problem-solving skills.

BackgroundThis study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics of gastric cancer (GC) patients with dermatomyositis (DM) and summarize the perioperative outcomes.MethodsThe clinical and pathological data of five patients diagnosed with co-occurring DM and GC (DM-GC group) were retrospectively analyzed, who were admitted to the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at Ren ji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, between January 2012 and April 2023. Their data were compared with 618 GC patients (GC-1 group) from September 2016 to August 2017 and 35 GC patients who were meticulously screened from 14,580 GC cases from January 2012 and April 2023. The matching criteria included identical gender, age, tumor location, TNM stage, and surgical procedure (7 GC patients were matched for each DM-GC patient).ResultsAnalysis indicated that the DM-GC group comprised four female and one male patient. The female proportion was significantly higher (P = 0.032) than that of GC-1 group. In DM-GC group, four DM patients were diagnosed as GC within 12 months. One DM patients was diagnosed as GC within 15 months. Among them, four patients presented with varying degrees of skin rashes, muscle weakness while one patient had elevated CK levels as the typical symptom. Similarly, the preoperative tumor markers (CA-199 and CA-125) in the DM-GC group were significantly higher than normal levels (CA-199: 100 vs. 28.6%, P = 0.002; CA-125: 40 vs. 2.9%, P = 0.003) compared to GC-2 group. Moreover, postoperative complication incidence and the length of hospital stay were significantly higher in the DM-GC than GC-2 group [complication rate: 40 vs. 8.6%, P = 0.047; hospital stay: 15 days (range: 9–28) vs. 9 days (range: 8–10), P = 0.021].ConclusionGC Patients with dermatomyositis are more prone to experience postoperative complications and longer hospital stay.

A three-dimensional helix geometry unit cell is established to simulate the complex spatial configuration of 3D braided composites. Initially, different types of yarn factors, such as yarn path, cross-sectional shape, properties, and braid direction, are explained. Then, the multiphase finite element method is used to develop a new theoretical calculation procedure based on the unit cell for predicting the impacts of environmental temperature on the thermophysical properties of 3D four-direction carbon/epoxy braided composites. The changing rule and distribution characteristics of the thermophysical properties for 3D four-direction carbon/epoxy braided composites are obtained at temperatures ranging from room temperature to 200 °C. The influences of environmental temperature on the coefficients of thermal expansion (CTE) and the coefficients of thermal conduction (CTC) are evaluated, by which some important conclusions are drawn. A comparison is conducted between theoretical and experimental results, revealing that variations in temperature exert a notable influence on the thermophysical characteristics of 3D four-directional carbon/epoxy braided composites. The theoretical calculation procedure is an effective tool for the mechanical property analysis of composite materials with complex geometries.
