An increasing number of Bacillus strains have been identified, and the removal capacity of zearalenone (ZEN) was determined; however, they failed to reveal the detoxification mechanism and transformation product. Here, Bacillus subtilis Y816, which could transform 40 mg/L of ZEN within 7 h of fermentation, was identified and studied. First, the biotransformation products of ZEN and 17-β-estradiol (E2) were identified as ZEN-14-phosphate and E2-3-phosphate by HPLC-TOF-MS and NMR, respectively. An intracellular zearalenone phosphotransferase (ZPH) was found through transcriptome sequencing analysis of B. subtilis Y816. The phosphorylated reaction conditions of ZEN by ZPH were further revealed in this work. Furthermore, the phosphorylated conjugates showed reduced estrogenic toxicity compared with their original substances (ZEN and α/β-zearalenol) using an engineered yeast biosensor system. The first report on the phosphorylated conjugated mode of ZEN in B. subtilis Y816 will inspire new perspectives on the biotransformation of ZEN in Bacillus strains.

In this study, we applied historical matching and self-analogism methods, as well as laboratory physical-mechanics tests, to study the evolution mechanism of the collapse-slide-flow slide at the waste dump on the slope of the chair-shaped gully, as well as the evolution mechanism of the subsequent debris flow. Our analyses indicate that (1) an excessive fine particle content results in a relatively large specific surface area and further enhances water retention performance, (2) rainfall infiltration was concentrated at the contact surface between chair-shaped valley and bottom of the bulk, and (3) with high-intensity continuous rock discharge during the snow and ice period, a mixed frozen body of ice waste stone particles forms, such that ice melting in the spring leads to a sudden change in the shear strength near the contact interface between the waste rock pile foundation and the bulk. Dual effects, essential internal factors, i.e., shear strength and water retention, induced external factors, i.e., ice-freezing skeleton-melting structure collapse, and the chimney effect drive the slope toe of the waste dump. The weak interface of the Quaternary base gradually penetrates the interior of the dumping body, beginning to form from a single-stage traction landslide and evolving into a multi-stage rotary landslide. The sliding surface is characterized by the shear outlet at the front edge of the slope toe, quaternary base interface, and nearly vertical and steep trailing edge. During this movement, gasification on the sliding surface and particle rotation lead to long run-out sliding, which magnifies the scope of disaster.

To investigate aluminum (Al) segregation in industrial-scale Ti-6 wt%Al-4 wt%V (TC4) round ingots produced by electron beam cold hearth remelting (EBCHR), a three-dimensional multiphysics model verified with experimental data in the literature has been established. The numerical predictions qualitatively reveal that the Al concentration distribution in the pool is highly related to the flow pattern. A promising method to restrain Al segregation is to enhance mixing during EBCHR by increasing the casting speed. A series of numerical cases reveal the relation between the casting speed, the dimensionless measure of the stirring intensity (Peclet number, Pe ¯ ), and the corresponding segregation degree (Ф) in the pool. The results suggest that for EBCHR at a pouring temperature 2273 K, as the casting speed increases from 10 to 25 mm/min, the Pe ¯ value increases from 418 to 1820, and the corresponding Ф value increases from 0.681 to 0.871. As a consequence, the intensity of aluminum segregation on the solidified cross-section improves (decreases from 2.77 × 10−3 to 1.76 × 10−4).

Recently, uniformly valid asymptotic solutions of rod eutectic growth for liquid-solid interface slopes at triple phase junction being the normal order have been presented in reference (Li and Xu, 2017). In this work, analytical calculations of rod eutectic growth during directional solidification for liquid-solid interface of small order are performed. The purpose is to study the liquid-solid interfacial shape and average undercooling of rod eutectic growth. We give the mathematical formulation of rod eutectic growth for the general case. The steady solutions of rod eutectic growth are obtained by using asymptotic expansion method and matching method. The relationship of the overall average interfacial undercooling with the rod eutectic spacing is presented. The overall average interfacial undercooling always exists a minimum value at the minimum-undercooling spacing, and the minimum-undercooling spacing is slightly smaller than one given by Jackson and Hunt. We also analyze the effect of pulling speeds and thermal gradients on the interfacial shapes for the case of the minimum-undercooling spacing.

A mixed Lagrangian and Eulerian algorithm (MILE) is used to simulate the temperature field during the solidification process of the large-scale Ti-6Al-4V alloy slab ingot in electron beam cold hearth melting (EBCHM). Based on the finite element (FE) method coupled with the cellular automation (CA) model, the microstructure evolution of the ingot is obtained in this paper. The simulated results show that with the pulling speed increasing from 1 × 10 −4 m/s to 3.5 × 10 −4 m/s, the liquidus depth increases from 0.64 cm to 0.70 cm, the length of the transition region increases and the mean grain size is found to increase. With the pouring temperature increasing from 1953 K to 2013 K, the liquidus depth increases from 0.42 cm to 1.34 cm and the length of the transition region increases, whereas the depth of mushy zone decreases. The region near the bottom of the ingot has finer grains for the non-steady solidifying state of TC4 alloy. Moreover, the role of pulling speed is much greater than that of pouring temperature on the microstructure evolution during EBCHM for large-scale TC4 alloy slab ingot.

We consider system of rod eutectic growth under directional solidification for the normal amplitude of the contact angles. The objective of this work is to obtain the uniformly valid asymptotic solutions for steady growth of rod eutectics using the asymptotic expansion method. For the contact angles being the normal order, system of rod eutectic growth will exist a boundary layer at the triple phase junction. According to different length scales, we divide the whole liquid region into three subregions. Solutions in every subregion are derived by asymptotic expansion method. Finally, all the asymptotic expansion solutions are matched in the intermediate regions and the composite solutions are obtained. Results show that the average undercooling in front of both phases are not equal. The dimensional average undercooling exhibits a minimum at the critical eutectic spacing. The critical spacing of SCN-DC is predicted and it is in agreement with the small-spacing stability limit.

The purpose of this work is, based on CAFE method, to study the microstructure evolution and optimize the quality of the large-scale titanium slab ingot during EBCHM. The nucleation parameters of the microstructure simulation of titanium ingot are determined based on one of the actual experimental results. For the determined parameters, our theoretical results are agreement with other experimental results. The effects of pouring temperature and pulling speed on the microstructure are presented based on CAFE method. The quantitative analyses of the simulated results show that with the pulling speed increasing, the number of grains decreases, whereas the mean grain radius increases under identical thermal condition; with the pouring temperature increasing, the mean grain radius increases under the given pulling speed. Our results are very important to obtain the optimal structure of the ingots by controlling pulling speed and pouring temperature.

Two yeast enhanced green fluorescence protein (yEGFP) yeast reporter vectors, pR1558-yEGFP and pR406-yEGFP, which are regulated by two RAD54 promoters containing 406-bp and 1558-bp DNA sequences, respectively, were constructed using molecular biological techniques and transformed into yeast for the screening of genotoxins. The constructed biosensors were named W303-1A/R1558-yEGFP and W303-1A/R406-yEGFP. To quantify biosensor performance, both transformed yeast cells were exposed to multiple doses of genotoxins including methylmethane sulfonate (MMS; a DNA alkylating agent), 4-nitroquinoline-N-oxide (4-NQO; a DNA cleavage agent), 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu; an inhibitor of polymerases and topoisomerases) and colchicine and canavanine (affecting other biochemical activities). The yeast bioassay performance was analyzed using fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) and Multi-Mode Reader in a 96-well black microplate. The observed W303-1A/R1558-yEGFP dose-effect relationship was more obvious and the maximum inductions were 5.96-fold (MMS), 2.19-fold (4-NQO) and 2.71-fold (5-Fu); the corresponding values for W303-1A/R406-yEGFP were 2.53-, 1.50- and 1.91-fold, respectively. It is suggested that it is best to select the entire RAD54 promoter when constructing recombinant yeast cells for screening mutagens.

The solidification structure of Ti-6Al-4V round ingot during the electron beam cold hearth melting (EBCHM) directly determines the quality of the ingot and the performance of the subsequent rolled coil. In this paper, the Cellular Automaton Finite Element (CAFE) method is used to numerically simulate the solidification structure of Ti-6Al-4V ingot. Firstly, the mathematical model is established with a numerical solution. Secondly, effects of process parameters including the pouring temperature and pulling speed on the solidification structure are revealed. The results show that the microstructures predicted by the numerical method match the experimental results. For the case of fixed pulling speed, a reduction in the pouring temperature leads to the grain refinement and the decreased volatilization of Al. With an increase of the pulling speed, the number of grains first increases and then decreases, but the average grain size first decreases and then increases. Furthermore, the maximum grain size monotonically increases with increasing the pulling speed. Thus, the fine solidified structure with fine grains can be obtained at the pouring temperature of 1700 °C and the pulling speed of 4 × 10−4 m s−1.

The phase field model is established for the eutectic growth system in this paper, and the finite difference method is used to solve the model. The evolution of tilted eutectic interface morphology under isothermal solidification and directional solidification conditions, respectively, was investigated. The effects of solid-solid interface anisotropy, solid-liquid interface anisotropy, eutectic spacing and pulling speed on the evolution of the tilted eutectic structure were simulated to reveal the growth mechanism of the tilted eutectic structure. It is found that under isotropic and directional solidification conditions, eutectic growth is influenced by both of the direction of heat flow and the solid-liquid interface anisotropy. When the solid-solid interface anisotropy is small, the direction of heat flow dominates the growth direction of eutectic structure, and as the solid-solid interface anisotropy increases, the growth direction of eutectic structure starts to tilt. Two kinds of instability phenomena, bifurcation or merger and fault line, are also found in the eutectic growth.

This paper focusses on the heterogeneous nucleation on the surface with the non-constant curvature. The formation of a spherical nucleus on the ellipsoid of rotation is considered. Following the classical nucleation theory, the work of formation of a critical nucleus on the ellipsoid of rotation has been given, and the effects of geometry sizes and the material properties of the ellipsoid of rotation on the work of formation of a critical nucleus have been obtained. When the geometry size of the substrate is about value of the critical nucleus radius, there may exist twice nucleation on the ellipsoid of rotation for the case of the smaller value of λ and ϕ π / 2 . As the work of formation of a nucleus has only one extremum (the maximum), the nucleation on the oblate rotational ellipsoid is more easy than on the spherical surface, while nucleation on the prolate ellipsoid of rotation is more difficult than on the spherical surface. Furthermore, if the particles of the ellipsoid are added into the parent phase as nucleation agents or catalysts, for some geometry sizes, they would not have the effects on the heterogeneous nucleation.

OBJECT Donor-side morbidity associated with contralateral C-7 (CC7) nerve transfer remains controversial. The purpose of this study was to evaluate functional deficits in the donor limb resulting from prespinal route CC7 nerve transfer. METHODS A total of 63 patients were included. Forty-one patients had undergone CC7 nerve transfer surgery at least 6 months previously and were assigned to one of 2 groups based on the duration of postoperative follow-up. Group 1 (n = 21) consisted of patients who had undergone surgery between 6 months and 2 years previously, and Group 2 (n = 20) consisted of patients who had undergone surgery more than 2 years previously. An additional 22 patients who underwent CC7 nerve transfer surgery later than those in Groups 1 and 2 were included as a control group (Group 3). Results of preoperative testing in these patients and postoperative testing in Groups 1 and 2 were compared. Testing included subjective assessments and objective examinations. An additional 3 patients had undergone surgery more than 6 months previously but had severe motor weakness and were therefore evaluated separately; these 3 patients were not included in any of the study groups. RESULTS The revised Short-Form McGill Pain Questionnaire (SF-MPQ-2) was the only subjective test that showed a significant difference between Group 3 and the other 2 groups, while no significant differences were found in objective sensory, motor, or dexterity outcomes. The interval from injury to surgery for patients with a normal SF-MPQ-2 score in Groups 1 and 2 was significantly less than for those with abnormal SF-MFQ-2 scores (2.4 ± 1.1 months vs 4.6 ± 2.9 months, p = 0.002). The 3 patients with obvious motor weakness showed a tendency to gradually recover. CONCLUSIONS Although some patients suffered from long-term sensory disturbances, resection of the C-7 nerve had little effect on the function of the donor limb. Shortening preoperative delay time can improve sensory recovery of the donor limb.

Functional reconstruction following severe traumatic muscle loss may cause problems for reconstructive surgeons. In such situations, functioning free muscle transplantation (FFMT) represents an important alternative treatment option.The clinico-demographic characteristics of 11 patients receiving modified FFMT between 2005-2013 were retrospectively reviewed. The muscle strength, range of joint motion (ROM), total active motion (TAM) of the fingers, and Disability of Arm Shoulder and Hand (DASH) score were adopted to assess the functional results.All FFMTs were performed in the secondary stage. The authors found that the mean ROM, TAM, ratio of TAM compared with the contralateral side, and DASH score were 112 degrees, 150 degrees, 62%, and 22.8, respectively; and eight and nine patients achieved greatly improved grip function and M4 muscle strength, respectively.Using one-stage free muscle transplantation to restore finger and thumb movement simultaneously is an effective method for functional restoration following traumatic multi-muscle loss.

Purpose/aim of the study: Apolipoprotein E (APOE) has been implicated as one of the susceptibility genes for some subtypes of epilepsy and may be related to anti-epileptic drugs resistance. The purpose of this study was to investigate the possible association between APOE variants and the anti-epileptic drugs resistance in Chinese population.APOE gene rs429358 and rs7412 variants were genotyped for ϵ2, ϵ3, ϵ4 alleles using amplification refractory mutation system in 480 subjects including 207 anti-epileptic drugs-resistant patients and 273 drug-responsive patients.We found that the frequency of APOE gene rs429358 C allele in the drug resistant patients is higher than that in the drug-responsive patients (14.98% vs. 10.1%, OR = 1.25[1.02 - 1.52], p = 0.017). Moreover, according to the two variants, we analyzed the distributions of -ϵ4 and +ϵ4 alleles of APOE gene and found that there were higher frequencies of +ϵ4 allele in drug-resistant epileptic patients than that in drug-responsive patients (31.8% vs. 13.2%, OR = 1.15[1.05 - 1.25], p = 0.002).Our study demonstrated that APOE rs429358 variant C allele and ϵ4 allele were associated with the anti-epileptic drugs resistance in Han Chinese patients.

A numerical and experimental investigation is performed into the flow characteristics and mixing performance of three microfluidic polydimethylsiloxane blood plasma mixing devices incorporating square-wave, curved and zigzag microchannels, respectively. For each device, the plasma is introduced into the microfluidic channel under the effects of capillary action alone. Of the three devices, that with the square-wave microchannel is found to yield the best mixing performance, and is therefore selected for design optimization. Four microfluidic micromixers incorporating square-wave microchannels with different widths in the x- and y-directions are fabricated using conventional photolithography techniques. The mixing performance of the four microchannels is investigated both numerically and experimentally. The results show that given an appropriate specification of the microchannel geometry, a mixing efficiency of approximately 76 % can be obtained within 4 s. The practical feasibility of the micromixer is demonstrated by performing prothrombin time (PT) tests using a total liquid volume of 4.0 μL (2.0 μL of plasma and 2.0 μL of PT reagent). It is shown that the mean time required to complete the entire PT test (including loading, mixing and coagulation) is less than 30 s.

A cave surface for heterogeneous nucleation is always assumed as a concave spherical or conical substrate. Nucleation in such assumed geometries has been well understood. However, a cave or a groove always has some cusps and certain lateral surface curvature. These geometries of a cave will have important effects on heterogenous nucleation. Here the nucleation in a cave with iso-curvature lateral surface and one apex was investigated in the scope of classical nucleation theory. Nucleation in a cave was described by comparing with nucleation on spherical and conical substrates. Results show that when the contact angle is the acute angle, nucleation in a cave with the convex or concave lateral surface is easier than nucleation on the corresponding spherical surfaces. Furthermore, nucleation in a cave with the concave surface is the easiest and nucleation on the convex surface of a cave is the most difficult, while nucleation in a conical cavity is always in between. However, whether a nucleus is more easily formed in a cave is dependent on the sizes of the cave geometry for the contact angle being the obtuse angle. As the apex angle is close to zero, nucleation in a conical cavity is easier than in a cave with the concave surface but more difficult than in a cave with the convex surface for the contact angle being the obtuse angle. The effect degree of the surface curvature of a cave on nucleation is dependent on the apex angle and the contact angle.

A new reporter system has been developed for quantifying the activity of potentially DNA-damaging substances in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The system relies on two different reporter genes, yEGFP and DsRed-Express2, to screen for DNA-damaging chemicals. The yEGFP gene is fused to the test promoter of RNR2, whose measurable signal has a dose-dependent relationship with DNA damage. The gene encoding DsRed-Express2 is fused to a constitutive promoter of GPD, providing an internal control for normalizing cell numbers in the assay. The dual fluorescent protein assay system is performed by sequentially measuring the yEGFP and DsRed-Express2 fluorescent intensity of the same sample, with the results expressed as the ratio of yEGFP to DsRed-Express2 intensity (yEGFP/DsRed-Express2). The yeast fluorescent protein reporter assay was performed in 96-well microtiter plates in the presence of different concentrations of test substances, which were then characterized. The assay was very efficient, high-throughput, and amenable to full automation. Here, we demonstrate that this system can be used as a biosensor to assess the genotoxic potential of drugs and other chemical substances.

In this paper, we present a simple bendable resistance sensor with silver nanowires (AgNWs) stripe coated on microgroove surfaces formed on a polyimide (PI) film. We adopted an anisotropic wetting manner to form a narrow stripe in order to improve the sensitivity of the resistance sensor. The ultraviolet (UV)-curable polymer NOA61 is firstly drop-coated on the substrate, and then imprinted by a groove-textured poly (dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) template. After UV irradiation and de-molding, the surface is further treated with a UV-ozone (UVO) lamp, so that the grooved surface becomes more hydrophilic, which will promote the anisotropic wettability of AgNWs suspension and thereby deposition of AgNWs into uniform multi-layer stripe pattern. Moreover, the conductance with respect to the bending motion is measured. The most variation of conductance ΔG/G0 can reach about 200 % with bending radius of 2 mm.

This objective of this work is to semi-physical simulate the power blackout of electrical propulsion marine. With the development of power electronics and variable frequency speed adjusting technology, electrical propulsion marine will be the most important aim of the marine research. Due to the high propulsion power and the adding of high new electrical load, more requirements about the management of marine power are needed. Power blackout is one of the most important technologies when managing the power of electrical propulsion marine. The semi-physical simulation research on power blackout of electrical propulsion marine is first proposed. The mathematical models of power generator equipment and main power consumption equipments are built and analyzed in this paper, and it is subsequently verified experimentally. After research and verification, the algorithms in this article can unload fast and black out the power.

The present paper investigates steady eutectic growth with the isotropic surface tension by using the analytical approach. We consider the case that Peclet number ϵ is small and the segregation coefficient κ is close to the unit, and obtain a family of the global steady state solutions with two free parameters: the Peclet number ϵ and tilt angle φ , which may describe the basic states of both tilted and non-tilted eutectic growth. It is found that due to the singularity of the triple point in the system, there is a thin boundary layer in the vicinity of the triple point, where the curvature and the temperature of interface vary drastically. The quantitative comparisons between the theoretical predictions with recent available experimental data are made with no adjustable parameter. The agreements are very good.

The present paper is concerned with the global instability mechanisms for the basic steady state of lamellar eutectic growth with curved and tilted interface affected by the triple point. We solve the related linear eigenvalue problem (EVP) by using the analytical approach for the case that the Peclet number is small and the segregation coefficient parameter κ is close to the unit. It is found that the system involves two types of global instability mechanisms: the ‘exchange of stability’ invoked by the non-oscillatory, unstable modes and the global wave instabilities invoked by four types of oscillatory unstable modes, namely (AA)-, (SS)-, (AS)- and (SA)-mode. The quantization conditions for these modes are derived, the neutral curves for these global instabilities on the parameters plane are calculated. The stability criterion yields the range of the interlamellar spacing and explains the interfacial pattern transitions observed in the experiments.

Based on the general mathematical formulation under unidirectional solidification with mushy layer developed in Ref.[13], leading approximation of solution in mushy layer is obtained for the case that the inverse Lewis number is small parameter. For the steady state of solidification, concentration field in the mushy region is given as function of a solid volume fraction. Mushy layer width and solid volume fraction at the solid-mush interface are obtained. Effects of temperature gradient on mushy layer width and solid volume fraction at solid-mush interface are presented.

Lotus-type porous copper materials were fabricated by continuous casting technique. The relationship between porosity and external pressure were developed based on the solute mass conservation law. Theoretical values of porosity are in agreement with our experimental results. Results show that porosity decreases when the partial pressure of hydrogen increases for cases of no pressure of argon above melt, while porosity first increases and then decreases as the partial pressure of hydrogen increases for case of nonzero pressure of argon above melt.

Based on the general mathematical model given in Ref.[6] for porous copper fabrication under unidirectional solidification, interfacial shapes including both of solid-liquid and gas-liquid interfaces are given. Effects of argon partial pressure on interfacial shapes are considered. Results show that interfacial shape changes from convex to concave with argon partial pressure increasing for fixed hydrogen pressure. However, increase of argon pressure does not result in changes of interfacial shapes and location changes of interfacial tip are not obvious as argon pressure increasing for fixed total pressure.

The general mathematical formulation under unidirectional solidification with mushy layer is developed. For the steady state of solidification, concentration and temperature fields in the mushy region are given as functions of a solid volume fraction. The nonlinear model of solidification in mushy zone is changed into system of the second order ordinary differential equation with free boundary conditions, which is solved using numerical calculating method. Solid volume fraction at the solid-mush interface is also obtained. For fixed control conditions, mushy layer width of Fe-Ni alloy in unidirectional solidification is predicted.

Recurrent patella dislocation (RPD) is the most common complication of patellar instability. The effects of different surgical techniques on the outcome of RPD treatments remain unclear. This study was conducted to compare the effects of three surgical techniques in treating RPD by three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction from computed tomography (CT) scans. Sixty-eight patients with RPD and no previous surgical treatments who attended our hospital between October 2010 and 2013 were enrolled and randomly assigned into three groups: (1) medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction and medial patellar retinaculum (MPR) plication group; (2) lateral patellar retinaculum (LPR) release and MPR plication group; and (3) MPFL reconstruction and LPR release group. Knee joints with flexion of 20° were scanned by a 64-row CT scanner and 3D reconstructed. Congruence angle (CA), patellar tilt angle (PTA), lateral patellofemoral angle (LPFA), and congruence of the lateral patellofemoral articular surface were measured. Knee joint function was evaluated by the Lysholm knee scoring scale, Kujala patellofemoral score, and International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) score. Pre-operative clinical characteristics were similar across groups. After treatment, the CA, PTA, and LPFA were reverted to normal post-operatively without statistically significant between-group differences. The MPFL reconstruction and LPR release group had the highest congruence of the lateral patellofemoral articular surface; while the (LPR) release and (MPR) plication group had the lowest Lysholm knee scoring scale, Kujala patellofemoral score, and IKDC score after surgery. The MPFL reconstruction and LPR release group had the best clinical outcomes among the three surgical methods, as indicated by better joint congruence after 3D joint reconstruction and higher knee function scores.

In the study, the functional recovery and relative comprehensive quality of life of cases of global brachial plexus treated with free functioning muscle transfers were investigated. Patients who received functioning gracilis muscle transfer between August 1999 and October 2014 to reconstruct elbow flexion, wrist and fingers extension were recruited. The mean age of the patients was 26.36 (range, 16–42) years. The mean period of time from gracilis transfer to the last follow-up was 54.5 months (range, 12–185 months). Muscle power, active range of motion of the elbow flexion, wrist extension and total active fingers extension were recorded. SDS, SAS and DASH questionnaires were given to estimate patients’ quality of life. 35.71% reported good elbow flexion and 50.00% reported excellent elbow flexion. The average ROM of the elbow flexion was 106.5° (range, 0–142°) and was 17.00° (range, 0–72°) for wrist extension. The average DASH score was 51.14 (range, 17.5–90.8). The prevalence of anxiety and depression were 42.86% and 45.24%. Thrombosis and bowstringing were the most common short and long-term complications. Based on these findings, free gracilis transfer using accessory nerve as donor nerve is a satisfactory treatment to reconstruct the elbow flexion and wrist extension in global-brachial-plexus-injured patients.

Heortia vitessoides has been a serious defoliating pest of Aquilaria sinensis forests in recent years.The adults displayed strong tropism to the frequency trembler grid lamps and the nectar source plants.The favorite nectar source plants of H.vitessoides adults as the trap plants and the frequency trembler grid lamps in the integrated management of H.vitessoides were studied in the adult eclosion period through both the laboratory and field.The results showed that Kuhnia rosmarnifolia and Santalum album plants showed strong attraction to the H.vitessoides adults, with significant differences among the different nectar source plants.K.rosmarnifolia and S.album as trap plants with board type of planting area to total planting area of 5%-10%, and the frequency trembler grid lamps trapped significantly more adults of H.vitessoides. These results suggested that the frequency trembler grid lamps and trap plants could play an important role in the integrated management of the pest H.vitessoides of A.sinensis.
